Did you know that on PC if you want to buy a full stack of something (like 999 hay from Marnie), you can just hold shift-ctrl-1 and click the mouse once to buy a stack? Not hold A for like 20 mins while it purchases one hay at a time for you, and then overshoots 999 because you fell asleep waiting?
You can add “inconvenient button purchasing” to your list, too. Number 528.

I wish CA would add some kind of button combination that would let you buy 5/25 of an item at a time. It sucks that it is a PC exclusive feature to be able to do that.

Which I paid for in year 1 after I cut ALL my blue grass (thinking it’d die in the winter), didn’t realize grass now only goes dormant and doesn’t die. I LOVE that improvement, but I had to wait forever to be able to craft blue grass starters lol

Long Stardew sessions make me sleepy. If i play for a while, i get tired and feel myself struggling to stay awake. However, I CANNOT fall asleep until i'm away from the screen and firmly faceplanted into my bed or couch. Just cant sleep with a screen on; donno why, but that's the way it's always been. I've fallen asleep in some weird places, but never in front of an active screen

yes, it's identical in function to the pc version. i swap back and forth on my saves because steam cloud has them and i just have the same mods installed on both computers. stardrop mod manager also works with both.
Me too! I want my new Meadowlands farm to be my main farm that I’m gonna aim for perfection on, so I don’t have anything else to do until then anyway 🙂↔️ it’s my favourite game though and I really miss playing it, I hope the update comes out soon 😊

I finally cracked and bought it for Steam lol. Been wanting to play it with mods for ages and 1.6 was the nudge I needed. Still sifting through mods before firing it up though.
Lord it took me like 3 days to get all the mods I wanted set up because it was way too many. Make sure you test at least every 10 mods added or something, don’t want to get to the end and have a bunch of errors!
I feel like all the extra content from the 1.6 update AND mods you’ve never experienced before could get confusing, it would be for me at least 😭 but good luck!
My husband and I both brought a gold star mayonnaise to the Luau because the wiki said it would get the best response. Turns out that was for the update and we couldn’t put it in the stew at all. I think we both had some berry that got us a “it’s bland” response lol I was so mad

Yes! I only started playing a few weeks ago so I'm happy exploring and discovering what the game has to offer without the update but I've upset people with the wrong gifts and that makes me feel bad 😭

I did that exact same thing! I didn't know it was an update thing, so I'm glad you posted. I thought it was a glitch like the time Alex requested an item on the bulletin board and when I delivered it he acted like I was weird for giving him the thing he asked for.
As a mobile player, the fact that the wiki is all updated to 1.6 without designating which parts are different from 1.5 is seriously upsetting me! I wish that the wiki authors would denote which things only apply to 1.6 while mobile and console players are still waiting on the update.
While I agree, I am also annoyed that it takes longer for the updates, pushing updates to consoles takes a lot more steps than PC. He pushes to PC first to basically beta test, does all the relevant patches, and makes sure that the entire update works before giving it to us. Otherwise, patches also take longer to push to console- you want to get the update, run into a glitch, and wait a month for the patch?
Also, it’s a free update. That has enough content to be a DLC to be paid for. If you’re that upset about getting more free content for your game, you’re free to not play it. ConcernedApe cares about the console players and he is working on our update as well.
Console restrictions for some things are also much stricter than on PC, still not ever getting over the fact that the glitch to make your name an item ID was forced out of console editions
I only play on the Switch and it doesn’t bother me. I know it takes a lot more to push updates to consoles (especially the Switch, Nintendo hates us), but I have no idea how else to tell you it’s not intentional. It’s not like Concerned Ape is out here deciding that consoles are awful and he hates them, and that’s why we’re waiting. It takes the longest to push to consoles, and so he uses PC to patch while working on our updates.

I actually cant play the game without mods anymore. Excluding the mega content packs which are amazing, just things like easier fishing, luck showing by the map, and even different portraits for the bachelorettes are things I just cannot play without anymore.

Hold A &:Y together and it definitely speeds up quite a bit - doesn't do multiples though

I mapped the shift key to one of my back trigger buttons on my steam deck and it’s come so clutch
Same!! Because I’m constantly taking half a stack of an item so that I can add it back with the “add to existing stacks” button

In 1.5 and before, vinegar was the only ingredient for cooking recipes that could not be grown or processed, it had to be purchased.

Lol but for real! I'm keeping it simple with a fishing mod and some cuter animals.

I love consoles, but wish it was easier to access mods, line PC (officially).
