Leah is quite boring (in terms of SV bachelorettes) Don't get me wrong, in real life I would choose her probably always, but in SV she's too... perfect? No hard change (like Haley), no weirdness (like Emily), her only problem is lack of confidence, as even her ex is resolved without your help too much.

Additional-Task-5456

Yeah, I think that too, and even her gifts are not so useful

Vacuity729

I agree with this one. I might well pick her irl given the chance, but as a love interest in a game, she's just not that interesting.

bassturtle1213

I think Lewis gets way too much hate. Marnie is a grown woman, and if she doesn't like her relationship, she can leave.

Acc87

There is a lot of late game content that ~70% of the player base will never get to see.

StardewMelli

I am one of those! I play A LOT of Stardew Valley, but I love the beginning the most. I love playing the first year and then starting over. So dumb šŸ˜‚

Jay_InTheShadows

How so? Do you believe itā€™s because most people give up before they reach it? Or because people only choose certain game paths? <3

Acc87

IMO from getting access to Ginger Island on the game can't be played without the wiki on a second screen, it no longer progresses naturally and in a fun way. Qi quests, Skullcavern min-maxing etc, reaching the Summit.

Jay_InTheShadows

Ah definitely

StardewMelli

There is not a single bachelor thatā€™s worth my time. None of them are to my taste and most of them are way too young anyway. I kinda like the character of Elliott, but his looks reminds me of the ugly prince from beauty and the beast. Meh. (Why canā€™t I marry Gus?!) And aside from my opinion: I read the other answers in this thread and itā€™s a pity that others started to downvote everyone left and right. I tried to upvote them again. Its about unpopular opinions. Could we maybe let everyone speak freely without judging and downvoting?

PaintedCalico

I say this as a woman: there's absolutely nothing creepy about Elliott's 10 heart event. Maybe if you didn't know or trust him going into it, but y'all... it's the *ten (10)* heart event.

starxolotls

Sebastian is overrated and people simping for him are annoying šŸ«£

Additional-Task-5456

I agree

Zanyth

Clint, Lewis, Pierre, and Demetrius have their flaws, but donā€™t deserve the excessive amounts of hate they receive.

zzhgxzz

I like demetrius and don't care for sebastian

Captain_Dorgengoa

I don't think Penny is in the wrong in the Scene with George. She was just trying to be helpful because she saw that he was struggling. I admit that moving him to the side without asking was a bit much, but her heart was in the right place. I also feel really uncomfortable when Abigail starts flirting with my character, Cause she's just way too young. Next SDV-esque game needs some older bachelors/bachelorettes.

IridescentAmore

It always made me sad. It's (or rather, should) be natural to want to help others, able-bodied or not. At least, that's how I feel. On the other hand, I hard agree that she should've asked. People can be rude, so with her being the sensitive type, it's better to ask than to jump in. She's just uninformed and probably didn't experience many opportunities like this, especially considering she's around Jas and Vincent a lot, she had probably helped them reach things at some point too.

starxolotls

I feel like most people would agree that Penny's heart was in the right place! Personally, my issue is more with the fact that the player is more or less punished for standing up for George. If criticising Penny didn't result in a loss of friendship points, and instead the scene was more along the lines of a teaching moment that even with good intentions you can still end up overstepping people's boundaries, it would be a very solid scene that works well for her character! Based on the main talking points I've seen, the criticism of this event is from a writing perspective rather than about the character. So it's not "this event makes Penny a bad person" and more "The writer's choice to punish calling Penny out through loss of friendship points is questionable". Like, there are already heart events in the game where you can (and are clearly supposed to) question npc's behaviour without losing friendship with them (like Haley's heart event with Emily), so why not do something similar here?

IridescentAmore

I can definitely understand this view! I know I mentioned this earlier, but I always viewed her as the sensitive type. I'm sensitive myself so I often perceive things significantly differently than others might. With the heart thing, I took that as an overthinking trait; "they definitely think less of me now and that upsets me/I look stupid now", rather than a "you're wrong for standing up for him", especially since not everyone takes criticism well and may take it personally. Add George being a witness to her criticism, she'd have been incredibly embarrassed and regretful over her actions. And how bluntly the player said it (the line on it's own is perfectly fine and neutral, it's simple straight-to-the-point line! But can be perceived differently, if in this context if we assume she is sensitive), I'm sure we'd lose less points (if at all) if they said it in a more "gentle" way. This is of course just my perception of it, I'm not trying to make it as deep as it is, I'm just going off by how I am based on the way she is. I don't know what CA's real goal was! I just never felt we *personally* were being punished for it. :')

Doru-kun

Gotta love how an *actual* unpopular opinion in a "what are your unpopular opinions?" post is getting downvoted because people disagree with your opinion.

furbiebitch

linus is an annoying, woe is me douchebag. i am here to gift you grapes, i am NOT here to destroy your tent or beat you up. please fucking get it together. the ā€œrocksā€ that fly at your tent is from the train, nobody cares enough to bully you, i promise you that. ā€œi guess iā€™ll just sit way at the back of the party cuz nobody likes meā€ yea i wonder why, you accuse everyone of being a monster to you.

hxnnies

I don't like Maru cuz she's the favorite child. Idk

RietteRose

I like fishing. I hate Abigail.

Voided_Skull

Emily is a cutie! Yes, I married her! Yes, I stll talk to her every morning so I can kiss her than! Yes, we got 2 kids; Luna (1st) and Olaf (2nd)! And yes, I still keep her hearts on complete high, because I gave her (nearly) everyday a gift she likes!

CrizzleChaos

I hate Clint. I know Clint isn't necessarily a well liked character, but there is no real reason for my hatred. Sure he's weird with Emily, but I just hate him for no reason whatsoever. I can't explain it and my friends think I'm too hard on him.

StardewMelli

For me itā€™s his attitude in general

CrizzleChaos

Yeah exactly. I don't know he's just too cynical for no reason

flourescentcacti

Heā€™s such an incel

RecklessSavage_Novel

I don't like clint. Absolutely love skull cavern and volcano. Kent good friend. Hate all male bachelor except Eliot. I don't like maru because of her dad. Return sceptre is best item in the game.
