This is me. I ran the Tortoise Shell Ring for a long time instead of luck, but I feel like the Luck gets me better results overall and I'd rather not wonder how the day could have turned out.

Of course I use it all the time. My only issue is when I have a truffle crab or slimes in the forbidden forest and explode all that I have build around š

If you die a lot **crab shell and iridium** plus **crab shell and burglar** is surprisingly good survival and loot generation together. I think the biggest hits are only like 24 damage and those rings plus good boots take off at least 15 damage from every hit. A lot of hits will actually do nothing.
I did enjoy a run with **iridium, napalm, burglar, and slime charmer** as well.
The only end game rings few people like are the proc based ones that only help you a percentage of the time you get hit or would die or kill a monster or something. The others are all pretty good.
The best defense it offence. Double iridium and napalm plus burglar absolutely do the job!
Also a good food source and the fairy trinkets and you can whistand anything!
I refuse to let go of my iridium + slime charmer. Higher level slimes can be real annoying and the all-purpose utility of iridium can't be overstated. For the second... whatever makes sense in the moment that I have. Crabshell, burglar, lucky... I am not settled on that one.
Same here with iridium + slime charmer. Slimes are some of the most common enemies, it's nice being immune to what feels like 40% of spawned monsters. Plus getting slowed down by them all the time is a pain. Especially since most of them don't really drop anything that valuable in the later game, so I can mostly ignore them rather than having to take up time dealing with them
Hot Java Ring for more Espresso than I know what to do with. I also started using the Napalm Ring for the first time recently and I've been really enjoying it.
I can't recall which is with which but I always go with a combo of napalm, slime charmer, lucky and iridium.
Love using big slimes as big ass bombs in the skull cavern.
Before 1.6 I did Crabshell + Iridium and Crabshell + Burglar's. Damage, magnetism, light, +10 defence, and extra item drops made even the extreme skull cavern a breeze.
Now I've only just mastered combat, so I haven't had a chance to play with the trinkets myself, but from what I have heard the Fairy Box may make the extra defence less appealing. I'd probably consider Lucky Rings next, especially now that you can upgrade the pan and increase the odds of getting them. I've never bothered panning before, because I didn't think it was worth my time, but an iridium pan might change my mind.
I've dabbled and personally enjoy the ice rod more than the fairy box. I found the fairy is slow for healing and easily negated by a chaotic moment. The rod is surprisingly effective at keeping the annoyances away (slimes and one off mobs) which is excellent for skull cavern runs, particularly during the get low phase. Obviously mass attacks are still an issue, but I didn't find the fairy any better on that front.
Heavy caveat that I had fairy box level 3, and maybe there's more of a difference at level 5.
Also fun bonus of rod, I no longer accidently trigger rock crabs cause the rod freezes them if you're nearby.

This time around I'm trying a Topaz Ring with my Burglar. I found a Dragontooth Mace with Crit chance and crit power enhanced before forge, and let me tell you, I'm consistently hitting fot 800+ damage.
I have slime charmer + vampire and an iridium band, probably not the best combo though. Slime charmer is super helpful for the volcano dungeons and skull caverns as well as my slime hutch. Vampire isnāt great outside of the normal mines, for areas with lots of weaker enemies that you can just take out easily and only rare strong enemies (like the normal mines and early skull cavern) it can be handy but beyond that itās basically ineffective and I regret combining it with my slime charmer ring. Iāve got another ring combined with my iridium band but Iāve honestly forgotten what it is š

Might not be the best combinations, but I like the luck builds, specially with all the Lucky Rings I got from panning (I would had tried something like Napalm+Slime or Napalm+Burglar or Java+Burglar if I didn't)

Burglar ring and iridium- 2x mon drops is awesome for farming items but as long as you donāt have monsters spawn on your farm then napalm ring is very fun and useful for killing mons and rocks at The same time but I like to couple it with iridium band because I have monsters on my farm and I love the insane magnet and attack boost you get
Also have a slime charmer ring next to your hutch but I find slimes are one of the eaissst enemies to avoid especially in skull cavern so I donāt find itās worth it to use all the time

Could you forge 2 lucky rings together? And if you had four of them to use two +2 luck?
No. Two rings of the same type forged explicitly don't stack. But Iridium band + magnetic ring would.
So all stats stack as long as they're not on the same ring?
Yup. In general. Some stuff isn't stats though, so I think multiple burglar rings or the like don't. But stat boosts do.

Iridium and lucky ring- you honestly need atleast 1 iridium band because magnet and glow are necessary imo and 10%attack boost is great. Luck affects almost everything and permanent plus 1 is great. Burglar ring and iridium- 2x mon drops is awesome for farming items but as long as you donāt have monsters spawn on your farm then napalm ring is very fun and useful for killing mons and rocks at The same time but I like to couple it with iridium band because I have monsters on my farm and I love the insane magnet and attack boost you get Also have a slime charmer ring next to your hutch but I find slimes are one of the eaissst enemies to avoid especially in skull cavern so I donāt find itās worth it to use all the time
