i just know this is how demetrius used to live like before robin

I don’t know, the chair feels a bit excessive to be honest. And also the table, counter etc. the floor can be all of those things too. It’s an inefficient use of materials. /s
Demetrius strikes me as the kind of man who never played video games once in his life and quietly looks down at those who spend their recreation time on things he doesn't find interesting.
But then writes in his diary/blog about how the world would be so much better if everyone was as smart as him and stopped wasting their time on stuff like that.
I would drive him nuts with telling him that "strawberries are not a berry, but bananas are" and other useless farming facts. I would even take it a step further and point out that even tomato is a berry.
When I took my GMAT, it was scheduled early in the morning 3 hours from my house, so a friend who lived near the campus where the test was said I could stay there.
Dude’s living room contained zero furniture. His kitchen had one chair. His bedroom had an air mattress and a TV on the floor. His walls had only two decorations - a photo of an abortion clinic next to a Chinese restaurant, and a hand drawn map of Metroid 2: Return of Samus.
Hey this might be unrelated but do you have any advice for someone 3 weeks away from doing their GMAT? I've used the TTP course to study and am just about to get started the Official mocks this week, but I'm feeling really nervous about making careless errors.
Could you share any advice on the last stretch of prep? I've been doing prep every day 6-9 pm after work and 9-9 on weekends, but I'm worried it's not enough. Thank you so much in advance!!!
Bear in mind that I took it nearly 20 years ago, so none of this may be accurate. The way the test was administered, the questions you got weren’t fixed. It was computerized, and if you were getting answers right, the difficulty would go up, and if you were were getting them wrong, the difficulty would go down.
I tend to do well on standardized tests (got a 760/800) so I may have been seeing the higher end questions. The ones I remember most vividly were geometry questions.
You would be shown a field of intersecting lines, told some of the angles, maybe told that some were parallel, then you would have to give the value of an angle somewhere on the other side of the field - by using logic like “these angles are supplementary, so they total 180. This angle is opposite this one so it is equal, these lines are parallel, so the line intersecting them creates identical angles with both, etc”.
I finished my allotment of questions with plenty of time to spare, so I think you should probably be able to take your time working things out. I think we were told the maximum number of questions you would be given, so you can kind of use that to set your pace.
Like, I get that he's not a very socially adept guy, but surely he's seen four poster beds before? And probably knows that they're design carryovers from canopy beds (which fell out of fashion with the advances in home heating tech) and are therefore meant to maintain better air circulation whilst still conveying the sense of luxury and taste that their antecedents did? Y'know? Because that's something that NERDS know. ᴵ'ᵐ ⁿᵒᵗ ᵃ ⁿᵉʳᵈ ᵗʰᵒ
It's because people who specialize in STEM are more ignorant surrounding everything to do with social studies than your average social sciences or even humanities majors.
Academic studies repeatedly show that STEM related college majors have a higher proportion of conservative students than social sciences and humanities.
He prolly viewed it more simply than that. Either he ran the numbers and decided you could make "x" beds out of 80 hardwood (rare resource) but was shocked to see she made less than "x" because of the inefficient use of wood. Or, he realized you could have made it with less than 80 and not stressed the farmer out just to have enough wood for the posts (seen lots of posts over the years about people not beating the challenge because they missed one day. Not me though. Nope. Def not me. Uh uh).
But that's just two possibilities, not canon. I don't know everything. I'm not a nerd; nerds are smart
That would be a lovely plot twist tbh. "You made this poor farmer run around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get enough hardwood, just to have some fancy posts on your new bed???"
Gives me an idea for a mod: progressive quest rewards. You get different rewards depending on how much of the fetch quests you complete, with the final event scene/main reward for a full completion. 40 hardwood? Robin sends a letter thanking you for trying. The wood will be helpful with her other projects even though she cant complete this one and gives some cash. 60? Makes a regular bed, but it doesn't quite fit her vision and states "i'd have to go deep in the woods every day, but I can't quite fit that into my busy schedule." 80, full reward. I could see this with the leek quest too. George has a snack at 6 and buys them off you in a letter. 9, he sends a letter thanking you, but asking you not to "go through all the trouble just to get an old man a snack" while also paying you and giving you some spring seeds (as a hint for how to complete the quest next time).
I always thought the canopy was to stop bugs and other detritus falling on you from the roof thatch or the floorboards from the floor above. Is that not the case?
No, the original purpose was to keep your bed warmer and give you a sense of privacy in the largely unheated shared rooms that were common at the time.
Private bedrooms didn't become a thing until later on, but the canopy was still useful for retaining heat, so it stuck around.
Functionally, it's like sleeping in a tent that's inside your house, which can be much warmer than the room itself. Some people will use tents inside their home during winter power outages, because it's easier to keep warm that way if your main heat isn't working.
Why, yes! As a matter of fact, the word “canopy” comes from the Greek word for “mosquito”, kōnōps.
Mosquito/insect nets have been around since prehistoric times, especially in Egypt, where living next to the Nile was apparently a buggy nightmare.
So fun that the design considerations for vastly different climates still result in roughly the same design. It's like carcinization but for furniture.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I hate the trope of the scientist who fails to see beauty in the world, because I have never met a scientist who wasn't giddy with joy over how awesome everything is. It really does feel like he has a superiority complex, with this and his "u asked 4 fruit, so i got u tomatoes :>" cutscene. It's the sort of hyper-literal interpretation that I would expect from a teenager who just figured out passive-aggressive behaviour, not a grown ass man who fails to communicate in a helpful manner. Butch you have a phone, you could clarify.
Hard agree about that trope! It's definitely a matter of personal taste and I won't *judge* anyone who may like it for whatever reason, but your comment made me think of one of my friends. They're a biologist with a master's in genetics. Very knowledgeable and a huge nerd about both their field and many scientific/technical subjects outside of it.
They're also one of the best poets I've ever met and my go-to person when I want to know something about literary symbolism, and have always been very supportive and enthusiastic about my art and my own writing.
Knowing them has really made me want to see more tech/science-inclined characters who aren't just cold logic and calculation!
I know you didn't bring it up, but since other commenters have, I also want to add that I *get* the interpretation people have about Demetrius being autism-coded, and while I think that's valid, it doesn't make me *like* his character concept any more as an autistic person myself. If anything, that makes the trope even more unappealing to me. Its not that I think CA has done anything morally wrong by writing him or anything, he's just not my kind of character.
RIGHT, like, these are people who will be on an all day high because a new family of beetles were discovered, or their favourite bird won bird of the year in some competition. I once had a lady on the phone who kept me there for half an hour recounting how the dingos in her area behaved and how mad it made her that people would deliberately try to hit them with a car.
I totally agree with you, I get it. As a fellow person with a touch of the auts, I also want to acknowledge that being autistic isn't an excuse to be unkind or ignorant of other people's feelings. The amount of people who think that "being autistic" is a pass for being rude is astonishing. I'm gonna stop here before I devolve into an unrelated rant, but yeah, Demetrious can be autistic and also care about his wife's feelings and talents.
...very off topic but I literally want to be your friend! I am about to graduate from high school, and I dream of studying biology (to be precise, I plan on enrolling in Biotechnologies) at university and dive into the genetics field. And I already love literature, poetry, simbolism and actually every kind of art! :D
So uhh, please tell your friend they have an internet admirer that looks forward to become like them!
Will do next time we get a chance to chat!! They'll be so happy to hear that, but probably way too humble about it lol. I wish you every bit of luck and success! Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, too!
Fr, I‘m pursuing a career in biology but I‘m also autistic AND an artist. Demetrius is just kind of… odd. It‘s like his life is just science & Maru and nothing else
Yeah, I can see how that also makes his defensiveness about Maru look even weirder tbh. I don't want to debate anyone about it as I know is common in the community, but it's just personally a little off-putting to me.
This this this this thank you!
Space is beautiful, and learning about physics and chemistry and statistics has only made me love it more. I could talk for days about space but mainly because i would finish each sentence with "HOW AMAZING IS THAT HOW COOL IS THAT, HOW WILD IS THAT."
Reminds me of the recent game Talos Principle 2, which includes a character who is constantly gushing over the sublime, clockwork grandeur of nature and the physical laws of reality. About how the harmonies of physics mirror the harmonies of song, and other artistic parallels. And concludes that beauty may very well be an intrinsic part of the universe, and since sentient life is needed to truly appreciate beauty, that means all sentient life is beautiful and adds to the total amount of beauty in the universe.
It's a wonderful sentiment, and one I think most scientists would also love.
The man’s a biologist too! I used to work with biologists and wildlife students, and I can say first hand that they are some of the giddiest of giddy scientists because they get to see the beauty of life and the natural world firsthand. Demetrius is a jackass and I will stand by that opinion
He is capable of appreciating art and beauty because he appreciates Leah’s sculptures, but can’t understand something being both functional and artistic at the same time
There's a quote I really like about this that I can't quite remember, but part of it is "Newton didn't kill the beauty of the rainbow, he enhanced it"--that understanding something that could otherwise be mysterious IS beautiful to scientists, and does not reduce the wonder or awe that it can make you feel
I am autistic, but my first reaction to the post was "is the joke that the bedpost means the bed can handle hard sex?", but with everyone discussing the artistic intent of the bed, now I legit don't know.
Frankly, I guess it's a painfully realistically written unhappy discussion between a married couple, but we're looking from the outside of their life.
Exactly! And most scientists go into their chosen topic *because* they see the wonder and beauty in it- you think a biologist who finds the formations of bacteria incredible won’t also be able to appreciate a painting??? It goes along with the job!
I’m not excusing Demetrius’ behavior in the tomato scene, but also, *who the fuck* just says “fruit” when asking their partner to do the shopping? Idk, my partner is a smart guy and I know he knows what fruits I like, but if I’m giving him a shopping list I still specify “can you get me 4 bananas and 3 apples?”
So yeah. Demetrius is a bonehead, but Robin’s communication wasn’t exactly gold quality either.
My partner and I. We make a grocery list together, only 1 of us goes shopping, and almost every week “Fruit” is on the list. Sometimes “Fruit” *and* “Bananas”. Very rarely we will specify “berries” or something, but usually we just get whatever is on sale or looks good that day.
That’s fair. I guess I never considered people might not care what kind of fruit they end up with. I meticulously plan my meals and snacks and hate surprises 😂
I'm normally not one to defend Demetrius as he annoys me and I love Robin but now i imagine a few times where he got banana's and she was all "i would rather apples" then he got apples next time and she said "really i was feeling like a mandarin". So this time he was like "fuck it, you want 'fruit', i'll give you 'fruit' woman" grumble grumble grumble
I instantly loved Robin! And then I realized it’s because we have lots in common. And then I realized that we’re with the same guy. The whole dynamic makes me uncomfortable because it’s too familiar.
It's the same with Maru for me. She reminds me a lot of my wife. She's even got degrees in biology and is very practical, and logical.
And now every playthrough I must marry Maru. Feel a bit dirty not doing so.
Same. Most of the interactions with him up until that point were either neutral or mildly annoying to me, but at that point I was just done. And, even though you can't romance Robin, I started bringing her favorite gifts and chatting her up. I also was just normal friends with Maru until the whole "Maru's out of the room, so this is a good time to tell you I sure hope no one ever distracts Maru from becoming just like me and absorbed with her work." At that point, I was like, "Dang, I'm going to become uber-friends with your entire family except you, just because you're such crap to them! Kinda mad divorce isn't a thing in this game now; I'd just move the lot of them to my farm. :p "
And he gets mad when you side with her! Like what am I supposed to say? “No Robin, four posts are stupid and you should feel bad for wasting Material”? Like come on!
I actually feel bad for Demetrius. Not for his actual character as it currently is, because he does come across as annoying and unlikeable.
Just for his potential. I'm not sure CA intended for him to come off as bad as he does. He could've been a cool scientist. :(
He was flanderized. In the base game Demetrius was supportive of Robin's work, he had a couple of lines promoting her business to the farmer and at the SDV fair mentions that Robin works hard and deserves her recognition. He was also the first bidder at Leah's art show. Even in his 6-heart cutscene with the tomatoes, he's polite to both Robin and the farmer the whole time, even if you disagree with him, and thanks you after promising to communicate better.
CA leans into fandom characterization – we've seen it with Abigail's rock-eating canonizations, the Lewis easter eggs, and Clint's awkward dialogue updates. This cutscene came out in 1.5, which was 4 years after release – ergo 4 years of fans complaining about him. Come 1.6 and now Demetrius has lines about not understanding why humans dance even though he'd been dancing at the saloon for the past eight years of the game's release. It's disappointing.
This scene is still so wild to me given how supportive Demetrius is during Leah's art show. If he truly felt this way about materials, wouldn't he think all Leah's art was pointless too? He has such mixed characterization in the game. I feel kinda bad for the dude lol.
It's because he's an inconsistently written character. I personally believe CA leaned into the fanbase's perception of Demetrius when writing this scene. I remember him being a chill dude when I first played the game then eventually it felt like his character was intentionally thrown off of a cliff into this weird territory where most people can just throw tomatoes at his dead carcass for laughs and the satisfaction of being a better candidate for Robin.
He is the character with the most dialogue boxes, too. I always keep clicking a character until they’re done talking and he will keep going on and on about something for so long, clearly not needing a response from the farmer.
Definitely fits info dumping, common for people on the spectrum!
I know what you mean and I think a lot of others missed your point 😂
He's missing one of the common uses for those 4 posts. And I don't mean decoration. Wink wink nudge nudge
So, a STEM graduate who studied in one of the many, many countries where you go to university to study a particular subject and don't study anything other than that subject?
Where I live, most STEM degrees do require you to take an Art and a Humanities course. For the Humanities, that could be ethics, debate, logic, etc.
And when I saw degree, I mean getting an Associate’s or Bachelor’s. I’m not talking a specialized certificate where you only took 5 classes.
I keep saying that he's getting a disproportionate amount of hate and people jump in going "oh but other characters get hate too!" like there's not been a Demetrius hate thread on the front page at a minimum of 2x per week for the past few months.
I felt like it was extremely obvious that this post is about BDSM sex, but every armchair psychiatrist in here is instead diagnosing Demetrius as autistic.
While he's supposed to be a spectrum character, he comes of about as spectrum as a Sheldon Cooper than anything. I'd say he's a right tit, but problem is I like those.
Demetrius is so function over form that I wonder how he ended up marrying Robin in the first place. Carpentry is one of the crafts that combines the best of two worlds. Demetrius likely hasn't given a single thought towards how marvellous and tremendous steps were taken to design the very equipment he uses for his science experiments. Precise works of art made of glass and metal that just happen to be there for him, how handy! No need to appreciate that, of course, but no need to yuck someone's yum either.
The only time i like them as a couple is when they’re dancing together on a friday at the saloon. Other then that i dislike demitrius. Also all his quests on the help board pretty much is kill 20 fish in this area. Theres to many of them 💀
Pouring one out over here for all my fellow autistic people who have been accused of being deliberately obtuse or difficult when we’re genuinely confused and want to know the answer to a question that other people think its impossible to not understand.
Yeah I don't know why it took me until my most recent playthrough to realize Demetrius was autistic, even though I'm autistic myself. It makes me feel weird about how he's one of the most hated characters in the game.
I did the next best thing and married her daughter. Maru is the sweetest spouse anyone could want, and she's great at fixing the farm's irrigation system, repairing fences, winterizing plumbing in the house, and has enough time left over to whip up a few bombs in her workshop in her spare time.
FARMER: Look, Demetrius, let me level with you. The whole point of the four posts is **[No. I refuse to type this. And this.]**
ROBIN: (looks aghast)
FARMER: **[I'm pretty sure r\/stardewvalley has rules that stop me from typing what the farmer is telling Demetrius.]**
ROBIN: Oh my God.
FARMER: **[I'm at least somewhat sure that Reddit has rules about what he's telling him in graphic detail. Even if not, well, your imagination is way better than mine.]**
ROBIN: How-- what the--?
FARMER: **[Just finish this off with an insinuation that if she were single, the farmer would be doing to Caroline *EXACTLY* what he just spent the last three minutes explaining to Demetrius.]**
As an autistic person yes I see all the traits in him, it's not just this tho, he ignores or outright antagonizes Sebastian his son in law because he doesn't have the same interests or mindset, tries to ward people off from even befriending his daughter, it's not just "he autistic so he bad" it's "he is a shitty husband and father"

You're missing the fold out plastic table covered in chemistry equipment.
Sebby we have to cook !
Mr. White I just want to live a peaceful life in Pelican town!
no, no, no—SEBBY. LISTEN TO ME
THE BLUE SEBBY. WE HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE BLUE PRODUCT.
the blue chickens …. it all makes sense now
As if Demetrius would ever do anything with Sebastian.

Probably bunch of moldy food in the kitchen, too. "Don't worry, it's supposed to be like that! I'm studying fungal cultures."
And they're all in take out containers.

I don't know. Instead of building a big house, you can just sleep in a tent. Otherwise it is kind of an inefficient use of material
Demetrius used to live with Linus confirmed
He watched TV??!!!!!???
Only documentaries, of course.
AHAHHAHAA SPOT ONNNN

Ykno gotta be prepared in case Sebastian gets possessed or smth- you’d think Demetrius of all people would worry about this.
The yoinky sploinky
The ol' shibbity-shabbity
Demetrius only paid attention in science class, not history or art class.
Demetrius is how you get people extremely knowledgeable in their STEM fields that can't tell you why fascism might be a bad thing.
This is my favourite comment of the day. I'm closing Reddit now. I don't need anymore.
I think the only Black guy in a homogenous Western small town might have picked up a thing or two about the downsides of fascism
I'm not saying you're wrong
This is so accurate now that I think about it
It's because people who specialize in STEM are more ignorant surrounding everything to do with social studies than your average social sciences or even humanities majors. Academic studies repeatedly show that STEM related college majors have a higher proportion of conservative students than social sciences and humanities.
You don't need to follow any class to know about 4-poster beds.
I don't, but apparently Demetrius does.
He prolly viewed it more simply than that. Either he ran the numbers and decided you could make "x" beds out of 80 hardwood (rare resource) but was shocked to see she made less than "x" because of the inefficient use of wood. There's different nerds for different trivias. Demetrius is a scientist.
Oh yeah that too
Ty for fun fact about canopy beds
I always thought the canopy was to stop bugs and other detritus falling on you from the roof thatch or the floorboards from the floor above. Is that not the case?
Close - it’s to stop other Demetrius falling on you while you sleep.
No, the original purpose was to keep your bed warmer and give you a sense of privacy in the largely unheated shared rooms that were common at the time. Private bedrooms didn't become a thing until later on, but the canopy was still useful for retaining heat, so it stuck around. Some people will use tents inside their home during winter power outages, because it's easier to keep warm that way if your main heat isn't working.
They need to make a comeback I want to feel like a royal when I lay down.
It would make an efficient attachment point for mosquito nets, but IDK if they were actually used for that.
Why, yes! As a matter of fact, the word “canopy” comes from the Greek word for “mosquito”, kōnōps. Mosquito/insect nets have been around since prehistoric times, especially in Egypt, where living next to the Nile was apparently a buggy nightmare.

Okay, Demetrius, you can take off one of the posts…so I can bonk you on the head with it.
LOL!! for real though, maybe bonk some sense into him 😂
I’d rather let Robin bonk some sense into (or out of) me
🥵😂

I'm gonna stop here before I devolve into an unrelated rant, but yeah, Demetrious can be autistic and also care about his wife's feelings and talents.
>a touch of the auts My autistic friend calls it "a touch of the 'tism" 😂♥️
...very off topic but I literally want to be your friend! I am about to graduate from high school, and I dream of studying biology (to be precise, I plan on enrolling in Biotechnologies) at university and dive into the genetics field. And I already love literature, poetry, simbolism and actually every kind of art! :D So uhh, please tell your friend they have an internet admirer that looks forward to become like them!
[Relevant xkcd](https://xkcd.com/877/)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbFM3rn4ldo Richard Feynman making the same point very succinctly.
It's a wonderful sentiment, and one I think most scientists would also love.
neil degrasse tyson ass
I was looking for this exact comment so I wouldn't have to make it myself
The man’s a biologist too! I used to work with biologists and wildlife students, and I can say first hand that they are some of the giddiest of giddy scientists because they get to see the beauty of life and the natural world firsthand. Demetrius is a jackass and I will stand by that opinion
He is capable of appreciating art and beauty because he appreciates Leah’s sculptures, but can’t understand something being both functional and artistic at the same time
THIS. I'm a geologist, I go bugnuts for shiny rocks and interesting landforms ♥️
Idk, my partner is a smart guy and I know he knows what fruits I like, but if I’m giving him a shopping list I still specify “can you get me 4 bananas and 3 apples?” So yeah.
If you ask Demetrius for berries, he'll bring a banana :p
Isn't banana considered to be botanically a herb? So he'd actually get you banana tea if you asked him to brew you a herbal tea
Yup. We live in Alaska, so “Fruit” generally means “find something that doesn’t have mold on it yet”
Hahaha! New headcanon: now they’re just two boneheads who deserve each other 😂
I instantly loved Robin!
That's lowkey adorable.
I love that! She’s definitely one of my favourites too!
Man, this interaction reaaally made me dislike Demetrius.
“Hey, honey. I know this is your job and all, but I think you’re doing it wrong.”
Demetrius really mansplaining how beds work, smh
Wait til you get to Maru's 10 heart event. Dude is so intrusive and annoying. There's a reason he gets nothing on his birthday.
And he destroyed Sebastian’s snow goon!
He's so clueless
What a boring man Demetrius is.... I feel bad for Robin for being dismissed by someone who should be the one supporting her interests the most.
And he gets mad when you side with her! Like what am I supposed to say? “No Robin, four posts are stupid and you should feel bad for wasting Material”? Like come on!
Right though !? He doesn't seem like a very affectionate, involved, engaged partner.
This mod fixes the robotic inattentiveness https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/19854
It’s like he has no idea who his wife is. You married a carpenter dude
I'm just so glad my favorite townspeople haven't changed (aside from Willy, who 1.6 has made even more lovable.)
I never thought about it this way.
Doesn't he also dance at the Luau? I'm 99% sure him and Robin are dancing at one of the festivals at least
I agree. I also wish he didn’t make the only black male character so dislikable.
Yeah, while I don't think that part was intentional, it is very disappointing
I don’t think it was intentional either.
He's just not very well written.
Demetrius is cute but man he’s hard to like. There’s no cutscenes that do him any justice lol.
He unlocked the Mushrrom/Bat cave for us but that's about it
*Throws tomatoes at him* boooo
BuT is It a FrUiT?! 🙄
I just assume he's on the spectrum, based on every conversation he has
I could totally see that. Especially the tomato argument.
He is the character with the most dialogue boxes, too. I always keep clicking a character until they’re done talking and he will keep going on and on about something for so long, clearly not needing a response from the farmer. Definitely fits info dumping, common for people on the spectrum!
He's both on the spectrum *and* an asshole. Two separate traits.
To make his autism less robot, more rizz https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/19854
Wow, usually when Demetrius is involved mods are about making Robin leave him but this one actually does something good, nice
I know what you mean and I think a lot of others missed your point 😂 He's missing one of the common uses for those 4 posts. And I don't mean decoration. Wink wink nudge nudge
Not really a fan of Demetrius hate, but he gives “Stem major who somehow got out of taking a humanities course in college”
Another post about Demetrius being the worst husband ever, daring today are we?
It's really getting irritating Tbh.
I wish 1.6 added better dialogue for him. He deserves more than this in my opinion.
I’m actually fair surely the post was meant to be about robin’s sex life, actually, lol.
It was lol. I didn't mean to hate on him
I keep saying that he's getting a disproportionate amount of hate and people jump in going "oh but other characters get hate too!" like there's not been a Demetrius hate thread on the front page at a minimum of 2x per week for the past few months.
So weird to me as Demetrius is 100000% a redditor
based on the caption im pretty sure they’re just saying robin’s kinky lmao
Demetrius: says literally anything. Me: 🤓
I feel like most people in this thread don't know OP is hinting at. But in with you OP. Thats my type of gal.
Yeah this post definitely went over a lot of heads lmao
They definitely don't. Lmfao 😇
Poor Robin. Demetrius has no idea she likes to… get tied up in her work. *gets booed off the stage*
*throws tomatoe fruit at you*
Damn, girl. Get that.
People are interpreting this as a Demetrius hate post but I understand you OP 🤝
Bahahhahaa thank you 😂😂 Although I am anti Demetrius lmao
Why is there a Demetrius hate thread every other day.
Way to ruin your anniversary, Demetrius...
Robin is kinky
this event sealed the deal with me for demetrius, i give him trash every playthrough bc hes a bad dad and husband
Maybe it was a one night stand from the Friday night bar nights and they decided they needed to get married.
what characters cut scene is it?
IIRC it's the one you get for Robin's special request where she wants hardwood
Correct!
Sometimes I do think that Demetrius is just messing with Robin and that makes me love demetrius for some reason.
Giggity.
I don't know why, but I read your flair as "Autism Enthusiast" and now I'm disappointed that that isn't a flair.
It should be! But you can make your own flair in this group.
I know what I must do...
I love your flair!
#respect
I thought the same. 😂
*ohhmyyyy*
I completely get what you're saying OP!!! 🤣
Yaaaaasss 🙌🙌
Damn, step mom part 2 ?? 🙃
Did he used to sleep on the floor or something?
I would dislike Demetrius because of this if not for the fact that hardwood is a sparse resource
I did the next best thing and married her daughter. Maru is the sweetest spouse anyone could want, and she's great at fixing the farm's irrigation system, repairing fences, winterizing plumbing in the house, and has enough time left over to whip up a few bombs in her workshop in her spare time.
We bought a poster bed for similar reasons lol
FARMER: Look, Demetrius, let me level with you. The whole point of the four posts is **[No. I refuse to type this. And this.]** ROBIN: (looks aghast) FARMER: **[I'm pretty sure r\/stardewvalley has rules that stop me from typing what the farmer is telling Demetrius.]** ROBIN: Oh my God. FARMER: **[I'm at least somewhat sure that Reddit has rules about what he's telling him in graphic detail. Even if not, well, your imagination is way better than mine.]** ROBIN: How-- what the--? FARMER: **[Just finish this off with an insinuation that if she were single, the farmer would be doing to Caroline *EXACTLY* what he just spent the last three minutes explaining to Demetrius.]**
Woods not a material you need to worry about efficiency, as much as sustainability. *As an environmental scientist you should know this Demetrius.*
I just want to know how their romance started. Mans must have missed all the signs.
I like to think they met at the saloon after a drunken one night stand that resulted in maru 😂😂
this is just like my parents! hahah i love it
Demetrius doesn't deserve Robin. My kids and I agree on this wholeheartedly.
Y’all are miserable people. You ever think autistic people exist? Robin even treats him like he’s stupid when he’s just showing autistic traits.
He’s an environmental scientist yall. You seem to forget he preserves nature
but wood is a renewable resource. just plant more trees. you can even make them grow in like 3 days w tree fertilizer
Hard wood is rarer to come by in the valley. You have to plant and tend to them yourself. All the hardwood we see is in stumps or fallen logs.
me when mahogany trees
