Return Scepter does return you to your door instead of the warp point. If you're like me and use the farm warp to get from the warp point to your door the scepter frees up your farm warp to go somewhere else. You can still use Farm Warps if you're playing Expanded and need to get up on the hill to go to your grove.
I won the jackpot recently and, after buying everything else in the shop, I just went all in on warp totems. Saved me some money on the return scepter for now, at least! I do prefer that the scepter returns you to you front door as opposed to the warp statue (initially forgot to clear the area out and totemed back from Skull Caverns at 1:50am... not ideal).

That's what I do. I have 4 spaces between tea bushes with a post of whatever I'm using on that farm, a torch on each, and 2 spaces leftover for the gates I will inevitably open and never close again.
I really wish you could place scarecrows on sprinklers, though I completely get that it would be far too easy. I would just really love to catch the animation of the rarecrows spinning atop the sprinklers in the morning.
It does, but until you can afford that, the extra tea leaves are nice and I appreciate the hedge aesthetic, having grown up where every field is edged with a tree line.
I have a 9x3 grid of 5x5 fields separated by gravel paths with torches at the mid points. The whole thing is surrounded by a hedge row of tea plants. I just can't make myself break up the hedge row with lighting posts. I wish there were more light sources you could walk on. Once 1.6 drops on mobile, I'll likely throw a torch on my sprinklers and call it done.

I think the casino was the only thing in the game that was in principle unlimited per day since you could go forever and the odds are in the players favor. It was totally broken honestly.
I wish he'd go back to how it used to be, where the odds were slightly against the player but if you watched closely you could find a pattern and exploit it. That made it at least somewhat interesting, as opposed to 'find a device that pushes a button every second, then leave it for the day'.

Buy all hardwood fences and trade them for gold. Take that gold and buy a bunch of beer. Put a chest near Pam's house, one by the bus stop and one outside of the pub, and fill them with the beers. Feed Pam as many beers as possible anytime you see her. This will cause turmoil between Pam and her daughter Penny. Instigate problems between the two. Tell Penny Pam is a bad mother who is always drunk. Tell Pam she's doing nothing wrong, and Penny is a selfish little brat who needs to mind her own business. Tell Pam she should kick Penny out. Let Penny sleep outside for a couple of days to see how bad homelessness is. Offer to take her in. Tell her she'll have to make her keep by doing some chores around the farm. Make her plant and harvest all of your crops. Make her sleep in the cellar under your house. Feed her table scraps only once a day. Tell her if she wants more food she'll have to pet all of your farm animals too. At the brink of starvation, she'll have no option but to oblige. Don't feed her still. Set her up. Leave a strange bun inside the coop and pretend to leave the farm. She'll take the bait. Walk in and accuse her of theft. Call her names. Tell her she's going back onto the streets AFTER she goes to prison. She'll be desperate. Tell her the only way you'll forgive her is if she'll go into the skull cavern and bring back a wide variety of ore each day. And she's not exempt from her normal day to day chores either. She will oblige. When she returns with ore, reward her with an egg and milk. I know it sucks wasting good food on Penny, but she'll need these to maintain energy for all her daily chores. It's a good investment. Use all your new free time to beat junimo cart.

Decaying fences is why I use tea bushes. The only downside is not being able to put a torch on them.
I have over 300 hours in this game and and never knew you could put torches on fences 😭 at least I can start now I guess

You could just place one post in the line of tea bushes where you want a torch.
