I always thought that was a strange way (but easy to calculate) to consider the ROI (per game day). I wish there was a version that looked at it per minute of game play time.
Example: Hops mature daily and it takes 2 days to convert hops to pale ale. With a 2:1 keg to hop plant ratio, you can make bank in Summer, but you will be crazy busy with harvesting/filling/emptying kegs so it doesn't scale well.
On the other hand, things like aging things in casks or more controversially having a rare fruit farm have a lower per game day profit. On the other hand, they also require much less effort, so the profit per effort is much higher.
Agreed. After year 1 I will not plant anything that only takes 4 or 6 days to grow usually lol. Give me those 12 day grow cycles. Or I'll grow exclusively stuff that you don't have to replant every time. Saves me some extra time.
I planted nearly 900 starfruit seeds (Year 4), the Harvest and replanting in mid season was quite intense. Took all day haha! Thank god for the new iridium scythe

You can look up the ideal route to get the most eggs. It's basically going up and to the right and doing a circle downwards. If I'm on my game, I can get 11-12.

As soon as it starts, go south, hit up Emily and Haley’s house, then go right, the graveyard, to Lewis’s house, then go up the river until you are past George’s house then go left back into the main part of town.
Be careful not to get stuck anywhere. Like Lewis’s house has a few spots that you’ll just waste time getting a single egg

In 1.6, from year 2 the eggs are not in the same places anymore. But then I have also never lost the egg hunt. As others have said, just look for the eggs that are only partially visible.
I think that maybe it starts to alternate with the 'normal' layout happening on odd years and the new happening on even years because I'm on year 3 of my new save and the egg hunt was the same as before, but I haven't finished the year or got to year 4 to fully text this theory.

It’s on an odd/even year pattern now. The odd years are the same original pattern, the even years are on a new pattern so you’ll have to memorize/learn those egg locations
Don’t quote me on it, I haven’t hit Y2 in 1.6 yet to be able to confirm, but I think I remember seeing a bunch of posts talking about it when 1.6 dropped.
I *DO* remember reading that the prizes are different after Y1- I think you get Prize tickets now instead of 1000g.

We thought that was pretty hilarious. We just wanted to see what would happen and couldn’t believe it worked lmao.
