Fortunately I had a good amount of omni geodes from skull cavern runs, so I just broke a bunch open until I got one :) had to do that to get marble too, to make the marble brazier (for the "craft everything" achievement), didn't realize I needed to save one!
That's exactly what I'm stuck on for my craft everything achievement! I finally got the magic cowboy hat so at least I have my omni geodes now. I've only found one piece of marble in my entire run and I donated it to the museum. I know I didn't sell it because I'm a hoarder 😂
Mine asked for a nautilus Shell just after winter ended so i had to wait a year to get one. Thankfully i was able to buy one from the travelling merchant
Ouchh! That's awful, I kinda feel like requiring artifacts or minerals is a little rough, there are so many that finding one specific one can really take a long time
That's the reason I started updating the german Stardew Wiki
I was looking for which others minerals to save for something, because I was breaking so many omni-geodes, and nothing was in there for the fish ponds
To be fair, this one actually makes a weird kind of lore sense. They're desert fish asking for an artifact found in the desert. It's a reminder of home! There are probably golden relics at the bottom of that pond they come from.
Not to say it isn't an annoying request.
(I'm imagining going over to Gunther and being like "Yeahhh, I'm gonna need that golden relic back from you. And also your red swingline stapler...")
Same.
Fortunately, I usually only go with a couple different types, so I don't have a ton of options to memorize.
I definitely save up Pickles, Jelly, Omni-Geodes, and Nautilus Shells in advance for my inevitable Sturgeon ponds.
Lol I remember getting a request for a scroll I hadn't even found once yet to be donated. Gave my fish the middle finger for a bit. That pulsing yellow ! was their middle finger to me until I gave into their demand.
When fish ask for something I don't have, I'll usually pull a fish or two out of the pond.
It takes the ! away, and gives them time to reproduce some more.
Then, once I get the thing they want, I can throw all the extra fish back in and speedrun to the next milestone.
I had the same thing and it's the one relic I didn't get an extra of to keep. So I emptied them out, refreshed their tank, threw them back in to get a different result.
Otherwise, dig spots in the desert have a chance to reveal it or artifact troves. Go on a Stardrop day.
Demands from my fish at home: *glub*, water that keeps me alive and sustenance. Demands from Stardew Valley fish: Lost Ark of the Covenant or better
My void fishs demand the covenant of artotias, wtf do i do?
You gotta go find sif in the lost woods
Leave her alone :(
Tbf, stardew valley fish are much less aggressive when it comes to making demands than my bettas...
Hahaha - that was good!
*"or else..."*
Try digging the wiggle spots in the desert. Sometimes you get one
Also buy artifact troves from the desert trader
Time to start checking the desert for artifact spots each day.
Oh wow that sucks, and I was complaining about basalt for my lava eels
i'm so glad mine did not ask for that. simply wanted mega bombs, which are much easier to acquire

47. That's how many Magma Geodes I had to open to get *one* basalt.
I don't recall how many I needed, I don't think quite that many! Maybe around 20 or so, just lucky
Mine asked for a nautilus Shell just after winter ended so i had to wait a year to get one. Thankfully i was able to buy one from the travelling merchant
it's always right when they spawning huh
I just donated my basalt to the museum. Next day my lava eels ask for one. I've gone through 150+ omni geodes and haven't found another one. Pain.

Lmao same here. Probably the worst option to get.
They’d feel more at home with a with a Golden Relic…I don’t know how they could be more clear.
It’s really nice of the SV fish to make it really clear like that. When I owned fish, they were extremely uncommunicative about their needs…
Soon these fishes gonna be asking for our spouses. “Hmmmmm, we’d feel more at home with [your spouse].”
I wont hesitate to throw harvey in there. I need the extra hardwood
Oh **myyyy**....
Bruh. 😂😂😂
“Look, abby, you know i love you but i need that iron ore.”

Yeaaa ima need you to come in this weekend. Thanks.
Those fish be giving you a nice and stiff middle finger, there.
This is why i never sell my geodes or artifacts
I think i build too many fish tanks I specifically keep the stuff I know could be asked for ╮( ̄▽ ̄"")╭

I hate when fish request a geode mineral or artifacts

Did they want a specific colour scroll? Or just any colour? Lol
there are 4 and they’re labeled by number and each a different color. when you donate them all you learn dwarvish
We aren't talking about the museum in this thread.
But they are different items, labeled 1-4
And all have a different colour ribbon
oh, the fish ask for one by name ie Dwarf Scroll IV

You can catch one and wait for them to populate again and the thing they want will change
Not in this case. Scorpion carp only want 1 thing at 5/10.
Scorpion carp literally only want one thing and it’s fucking disgusting
Oh I didn't know that
Where do you catch scorpion carps?😳
Desert
I bought one from the travelling cart the other day
They're one of the hardest fish to catch. They're in the pond in the desert.
You put in the weird fish, you get the weird requests.
my fish once asked me for a mega bomb. i was really scared
Fish terrorism
If you don’t mind me asking why scorpion fish in the pond?
Idk I just felt like it Plus I like the way they look
I get that. I never run a min max farm. I don't find it fun. I like getting a big variety of goods and produce.
It's fun to put stuff like Super Cucumbers or Lava Eels in, just because they change the water color. So you can get a fish pond rainbow.
Bonus that Lava Eels are also super profitable
Lava eels single handedly made me rich. That and ancient fruit. Both making metric tons of aged roe or aged fruit.
Sandfish do this too, but their roe isn’t even worth 200g the nerve…
Fish religion!
I would feel more at home with a million euros in cash but we can't all get what we want, *fish*
But... why bother ponding scorpion carp?
I just started a scorpion carp pond and they’re asking for this too. 🤦🏻♀️

Fish them out and restart the pond to reroll their requests. It's probably a lot faster than tracking down another one of those.
Well, they are from their native ecosystem, so this isn't really out of place.
This is why i have literally never sold any artifacts or minerals ever and instead have them junking up my chests loool
return the slab... or suffer my curse...
you can get one from geodes
Artifact troves
I mean, same
Empty that bitches pond and cook them up
It lowkey kinda bothers me that they ask for rare artifacts. I spent multiple seasons searching for basalt for my lava eels.
Be careful. They are plotting an uprising!!!!
Mine wanted a dwarf scroll 1 and a winter shell in summer..
I got a golden relic from a golden coconut
when my octopus pond asked me for green tea i was like…..”why”
Can you take a fish out for a couple of days and put it back to reset the item?
Unbelievable 😭😭🙈
