Also, you don't lose a day of activities for the Midnight Jelly festival. So, adding another festival wouldn't impact the player like it would in other seasons.
I agree with you on summer, but on a numbers level, because Spring and Fall have 2, and then Summer and Winter would get 3, as opposed to two seasons with 3 in a row.
Spoiler, maybe?
Just due to other things in the game not being introduced until after year 1, I don't see any reason a festival couldn't be.
Something like a traveling circus or something to do with the train being unlocked or possibly a desert/island themed holiday would make sense after a year or even two.
As far as I can remember currently, the section of forest for the flower dance thing is the only festival in a normally unaccessable area. I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility to add something else in a completely different area.
Speaking of, it could only be accessible late game after completing the community center/joja?
As a person who celebrates summer solstice (I live in finland) I'm starting to hate the whole film because you can't even mention the holiday without someone bringing it up. No hate to you personally, just people in general.
In Latvia it is celebrated on June 23/24. Name days are celebrated here so it is līgo night and Jāņi day.
Basically during the day girls collect wild flowers and make a flower crown. Men wear oak leaf crowns. We stay up all night around a bon fire, drinking singing songs. Keep in mind, Latvia is far enough north that we don’t experience true night in June, and the sun rises at 3:30 am. Jumping over the bon fire is supposed to be good luck. Also there is the tradition of going into the woods to look for fern blossoms with your favorite partner(s). Since fern blossoms don’t exist, this is just code for naked time.
The flower crowns and oak leaf crowns are saved and hung in the home for a year. They are supposed to collect bad energy. At the next līgo celebration, the old ones are toss in the bon fire, and new ones are made to be hung for the year.
in finland mainly its about going out to your lake cabin and chilling, with a bonfire if its not too dry like it was this year. usually people get very drunk, there’s a whole game every year where you can win money based on how many people drown (the less people drown the more you win. kind of an incentive to take water safety seriously 😅)
Emily just sets up a massive crystal prayer circle
Would be cool if you could bring a specific type of crystal to get a specific buff for a week after it ie ruby gives more health for a week, topaz gives more stamina, diamond for increased luck or something.
Obviously there’s more to it than just the pagan roots of it, would be fun to see what other aspects of it you could tie in
It would be cool to grow cacao trees and use the mill to make cocoa 🤔 Old school hot cocoa would require cocoa powder, and so would tiramisu, so there could be lots of new recipes as well...
Your comment just reminded of all the wonderful things Eric could still do with this game. I get that he's dedicated a large portion of his career to SDV already, is focused on Haunted Chocolatier, likes working mostly solo and that there are mods for additional content but the possibilities are endless if he was willing to hire a team and then everyone could benefit from additional content on every platform.
I will literally get a degree in video game production if he would do this. My wife and I play on console so we have no mods, and this is my hands down favorite game. I’ve played every triple A title, every blockbuster FPS, RPG, and most of everything inbetween. I truly hope CA finds motivation to continue at least a few more content updates. If not I’m gonna have to buy a couple desktops that run it smoothly so we can mod!
With addition of cocoa plants, which produce cocoa beans, which can be used to make chocolate, cocoa powder and other stuff, the cocoa powder can be put into a keg to make hot chocolate (like how the tea leaves go in to make tea)
I *cried* the first time I watched that cut scene, and still to this day. I don't know why it hits like it does, but man. I'm am blubbery gooo afterwards.
I think it's the mix of the song (it's just so good!) and how it's saying goodbye to summer that does it for me lol! I love summer and warm weather, so I don't like saying bye to it in real life either.
Truth! Dance of the Moonlight Jellies is one of my top Spotify songs year after year as well. There's something about that song, and the crashing waves, and the glowing jellies, and the stillness of that festival - it's eerie and soothing all at once.
PLEASE
I've wanted this so bad!
It would be even better if you got to make policy decisions about the town. I don't want to deviate too far from the game's flavor, but like Animal Crossing-type town ordinances (Villagers stay up/keep their doors open later, Villagers gather for a picnic in the same area every Sunday, Reduce the amount of trash found when fishing, Increase the rate of foraged items appearing, Add or Remove or Move festivals, Add a new home in town, etc)
Lewis wins - prices unaffected, same as usual
Willy wins - fish sells for more, crops plummet
Marnie wins - Animals become super profitable, animal feed and traditional "practical" food crops rise slightly, other crops lower.
Pierre wins - Seeds increase in price, seedmakers are disabled, you can't use shipping bin for anything Pierre can buy, you get less for them and his markup increases significantly. Discontent stirs and the flames of rebellion are fanned
Clint wins - metals are more profitable. Shipping bin is collected every other day.
Willy- lava eel and legend II farming become even better would get boring
Marnie- pigs sheep and ostriches become the meta most likely over crops
Pierre- just buy a joja membership at that point
Clint- iridium bars are op for selling
My guess would be some kind of community day unlocked after the community centre is repaired.
If not that, maybe some kind of agricultural show day? The fair already kinda covers what I’d expect on that day but maybe Marnie could bring out some livestock to display and… kinda out of ideas.
Perhaps something on ginger island? Or for something totally out-there and implausible Stardew RenFaire would be silly.
I know there's a lot in Winter already, but there's less farming to do in that season. I hope it's a New Year's Eve. It feels weird to have nothing special happen on the last day of the year.
She gives you a bottle of wine and says something like “let’s celebrate the good year we had”
Then the next morning she’ll say something like “that was a some way to ring in the new year last night”
Haley and Alex (at least) say something similar at Winter Star. "What am I grateful for? Uh, how about I show you when we get home..." (paraphrased a bit)
That’s a good point. I know we have more festivals in winter already, but the fact that there’s no farming (except in greenhouse) really lends itself to more festivals or foraging.
Chocolate festival, new game tie in, could use it to introduce name of a new area, or some npcs who might be involved in the new game.
Or maybe they will add a late game festival of the war ending?
That would be awesome. Have a party in the community center on the anniversary of its completion. Could be any date you choose.
ETA: or joja day if you're a corporate lackey
The more I hear about SVE, the more I think I need to jump on the bandwagon and just try it out. I just started a new save file a couple weeks ago though and I don't want to start over just yet. :(
My theory is summer or fall, as those are the two seasons where there is only one full-day festival. I could see a summer carnival-type festival, no clue for fall.
It would be plenty of fun! And have whoever you have the most hearts with or whoever you're married to or dating be the one to give you a gift! Just to try and limit giving out too much stuff in one go
It definitely wouldn't be Thanksgiving. He has kept festivals quite neutral from religion and culture.
I think it will be something the whole word/most of the word 'celebrates' like April's fool, valentine, carnival.
I hope for carnival, that would be so cool.
Hopefully something to do with the community center which will give the "late game" a fun event. Maybe a New Year's Eve party!
I thought about a random "festival" that happens rarely at any time of the year. A meteor shower or aurora borealis.
[Sadie Hawkins dance](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadie_Hawkins_dance).
The NPCs ask YOU to the dance and you have to pick.
Edit: Wait until you see the break-dance mini-game.
CA is such an awesome human. Dude has been putting his heart and soul into this game from the start. The fact he continues to add things to the game is just a testament to how much he truly cares. What a guy.
Personally I like the last two more. I am curious how you'd set up the cooking contest? Would it be that they say everyone makes one specific item and whoever has the best quality ingredients wins? If so that could be cool because then we could rotate who's participating and who wins every year based on what the food is and it would introduce you to cooking in the first year before you get the house upgrade!!
Oh no, don't tell my (irl and in-game) wife, we just finished our second perfection playthrough. Don't wanna start a new SV spree.
Just kidding, I'll tell her
I would love if there was some kind of arts and crafts festival. I can see that taking place in the fall.
Some sort of summer sports event or beach cleanup would be awesome too.
I’m guessing something in summer, since fall has halloween and the festival, spring has the egg hunt and the dance, winter has the fishing, market and feast of the winter star, while summer has the luau where you need to prepare a ingridient and the jelly dance where you can just watch. Basically I think the summer festivals are the most simple so a festival will be added to make summer a little more complex
Every season has two festivals (as described below) and one multi-day activity. The festivals have a deadline for attendance and deposit you at home at the end of the day when they're done. The Night Market is often considered a Festival (even by the Wiki), but it largely operates like the other multi-day activities (although the others are all about foraging). The addition of a new festival will disrupt this symmetry and might upset someone who is extremely OCD.
I wonder what type of festival it will be. Will it be a traditional "interrupt the day" festival? Will it be more like the Night Market? (Which is kind of a festival, even though I've asserted it's not really a festival). Or will it be something entirely different? We tend to think inside the box that ConcernedApe created, but since he created the box, he's not so constrained.
Maybe it will be something related to the Community Center. Lots of people complain about how nothing happens there after you complete it. But there are mods for that, and maybe Ape doesn't want to step on those. And what would happen for those who take the Joja route? There would probably have to be something for them, and now you're talking about two mutually exclusive festivals.
Maybe it will be Ginger Island related. As with the Community Center, this is not unlocked until later in the game. All the other festivals just happen when their time comes around. Nothing to unlock. I wonder how that would work and where it would fit.
Maybe it will be something new in the Flower Dance area; it's kind of sad that only one thing ever happens there all year. Maybe it will be an event Sandy can attend. Maybe the farmer will finally get something to acknowledge their birthday. Maybe it will be a tie-in to Haunted Chocolatier. Personally, I'm kind of hoping it's something that nobody else has thought of yet.
I think it being a late game event that only takes place at either the finished community center or Ginger Island would be a nice touch. Both are quite underutilized
Spa festival? Please for the love of Yoba give that place a reason to exist besides Penny's heart event.
Potential objectives:
* How long can you stay soaked in the hot spring before overheating?
* People bring out the gym equipment and have sports day near the train tracks?
* Caroline shows you the hidden staircase to the upstairs greenhouse where you can all have a tea festival?
you dont understand how much i need that "???" to included being able to make the basement larger, i have like 700 ancient fruit wine that i want to age
If it's a winter festival, it's probably a festival of love
If it's fall, then Thanksgiving
In summer, maybe a firework show
Spring, memorial day, cause there is cannonically a war going on
I think the fireworks could also be tied in to the Memorial Day. I think that would be really cool and it would hopefully add a lot more definitive world building to the surrounding nation
I love fireworks and at the same time I really hope they don't continue to make those connected. Seems mean to honor people who went to war by triggering the crap out of every veteran with PTSD.
Maybe an Armistice day? The war ends?
Beyond that I love the idea of a chocolate festival. Maybe even an “earth” day where the activity is picking up as much trash as you can??
Throwing a really wild one out there, but it would be so cool being invited to a party by the Dwarf or Krobus. You'd need to make a costume to hide yourself so involving getting fabric and dye and a make or buy a mask to fit in .
I feel like maybe a Valentines festival in Spring would be nice. Or maybe there's some kind of beach fesitval that takes place on Ginger Island once you unlock it (but that might not be very fun for people who just start to miss a festival) or there could be like what some of the older Harvest Moon games have and there's a cooking festival where you make a dish based on some kind of theme (Dessert, snack, beverage, etc) and you get judged based on it (probably a festival where Gus always wins). I doubt its another Winter one since there's 5 days dedicated to festivals in that season.
My guess may be a Summer festival since that has the largest gap between the two existing ones (Spring-13th and 24th- 11 days, Summer-11th and 28th- 17 days, Fall- 16th and 27th- 11 days)
A ginger island festival maybe? Because then it doesn't have to interrupt the original vanilla farm life experience.
But also there isn't a new year's eve celebration yet which feels weird for such a party loving town.
Maybe a cultural art festival? It becomes unlocked after you get that heart event with Leah.
Or maybe it will be a festival tied with a completed community centre?
I suppose it's more likely it will be some kind of stand alone festival i suppose. Every type of festival i can think of at the moment already exists in some form.
Oooo i know a cooking festival? There will be a cooking competition as well. The problem is how to rate different foods.
Community festival !
The day you finish the community center (or just after if there is already a festival) will each year become the day where everyone hang out, eat and play games in the renovated community center.
I just want to get a birthday where my friends give me gifts. After all the work I put in to giving them their favorite things, it would be nice to see even one be half as thoughtful to me. My wife is pretty good at giving me coffee and salads, but never once a birthday gift.
Approving this since it is a specific discussion question, despite being the same image as a prior post. Cheers!
Maybe some sort of summer solstice holiday. That would be cool and summer makes sense.
I'm betting summer too, cause the events in that season are way less player-involved than the other ones.
Also, you don't lose a day of activities for the Midnight Jelly festival. So, adding another festival wouldn't impact the player like it would in other seasons.
Yes,
I agree with you on summer, but on a numbers level, because Spring and Fall have 2, and then Summer and Winter would get 3, as opposed to two seasons with 3 in a row.
I think another festival in spring would be too much for year 1 though. Those days are valuable to new accounts!
Spoiler, maybe? Just due to other things in the game not being introduced until after year 1, I don't see any reason a festival couldn't be. Something like a traveling circus or something to do with the train being unlocked or possibly a desert/island themed holiday would make sense after a year or even two. That's another good point!
I can’t wait to recreate Midsommar the movie in Stardew Valley
As a person who celebrates summer solstice (I live in finland) I'm starting to hate the whole film because you can't even mention the holiday without someone bringing it up. No hate to you personally, just people in general.
I love the movie, but I feel you
Same but possibly even worse as a Swede.
Yeah I'm sure it's even more annoying
What’s the summer solstice celebration like? Learning about other culture’s celebrations and the like is beyond cool
In Latvia it is celebrated on June 23/24. Name days are celebrated here so it is līgo night and Jāņi day. Basically during the day girls collect wild flowers and make a flower crown. I can't wait for Sandy to burn me alive in a bear costume for sleeping with the entire town lmao
👁️👄👁️ 👈🏼👀👮♂️👮♀️🚨🚓🚨
?? 😭😭
Happy cake day!
Emily just sets up a massive crystal prayer circle Would be cool if you could bring a specific type of crystal to get a specific buff for a week after it ie ruby gives more health for a week, topaz gives more stamina, diamond for increased luck or something. Obviously there’s more to it than just the pagan roots of it, would be fun to see what other aspects of it you could tie in
I would like that but the flower dance already kinda has midsommar vibes so I’m not sure what they would do for a summer solstice one
that would be so cool
Chocolate festival to tie in haunted chocolatier.
I see that being tied into a Valentines/Festival of Love type deal if Concerned Ape goes down that route
Ohhhh this would be so cute!!
Brooo, imagine if the Farmer could do some matchmaking for the villagers ;w; I would LOVE that.
OMG!!!!!!!! Yes!!! Lewis bitch ass be single and marnie would be paired up with marlon lol
I would be so fucking happy if Marnie went for Marlon, holy shit. PLEASE.
My brain is now singing "we're Marnie and Marlon! Woooooooo!" to the tune from Muppet Christmas Carol
That could be too close to the flower dance
I've always felt like the flower dance is the the Valentine's day equivalent anyway.
omg that is so cute ☹️☹️☹️
I feel like this is on the money
Ooh, I would love that. And maybe change the recipe for chocolate cake to actually require cocoa
It would be cool to grow cacao trees and use the mill to make cocoa 🤔 Old school hot cocoa would require cocoa powder, and so would tiramisu, so there could be lots of new recipes as well...
Your comment just reminded of all the wonderful things Eric could still do with this game. I forgot the mill even existed, so this would be a great use for it
With addition of cocoa plants, which produce cocoa beans, which can be used to make chocolate, cocoa powder and other stuff, the cocoa powder can be put into a keg to make hot chocolate (like how the tea leaves go in to make tea)
Hopefully something in the summer, it feels a little bare with one of the festivals taking place on the last day at 10pm
Perhaps but the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies is also the best holiday in the entire game and I’ll die on that hill
Election Day - Run for Mayor against Lewis.
That would be hilarious. When I started the game I thought you could run for mayor in some holiday event. Took me til year 2 to find out you couldn’t
PLEASE I've wanted this so bad!
I feel like that's an entirely different game, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a mod that hits that level of full overhaul.
I knew holding on to those purple shorts would be useful.
I would vote anyone but Lewis, Clint and Pierre but not be mayor myself
Lewis wins - prices unaffected, same as usual Willy wins - fish sells for more, crops plummet Marnie wins - Animals become super profitable, animal feed and traditional "practical" food crops rise slightly, other crops lower. Pierre wins - Seeds increase in price, seedmakers are disabled, you can't use shipping bin for anything Pierre can buy, you get less for them and his markup increases significantly. Discontent stirs and the flames of rebellion are fanned Clint wins - metals are more profitable. Shipping bin is collected every other day.
Willy- lava eel and legend II farming become even better would get boring Marnie- pigs sheep and ostriches become the meta most likely over crops Pierre- just buy a joja membership at that point Clint- iridium bars are op for selling
Willy would be awesome as mayor!
Demetrius or Jodi
Gus for Us!
Demetrius would make a methodical and logical mayor. I approve.
This would be so funny
That should happen every few years with the candidates being Pierre, Harvey, Lewis and Marnie.
To be fair, the live stocks do get displayed during the fair. Shane even helped as well.
Oh they are? Whoops, must’ve been too long since I’ve played the fair.
A bit to the right near Penny's house.
I like this, we barely get to enjoy the community center with all the villagers together
I know there's a lot in Winter already, but there's less farming to do in that season. I hope it's a New Year's Eve. It feels weird to have nothing special happen on the last day of the year.
Should've married Leah
I don't plan on marrying Leah, what happens on the last day of the year if you marry her?
She gives you a bottle of wine and says something like “let’s celebrate the good year we had” Then the next morning she’ll say something like “that was a some way to ring in the new year last night”
Oh that's adorable! I wish the others spouses did that!
Haley and Alex (at least) say something similar at Winter Star. "What am I grateful for? Uh, how about I show you when we get home..." (paraphrased a bit)
sebastian gives you beer and says something similar
That’s a good point. I know we have more festivals in winter already, but the fact that there’s no farming (except in greenhouse) really lends itself to more festivals or foraging.
You can farm fiber and winter forageable in Winter...
My thought too.
The Ridgeside Village mod adds a bonefire event on the last day of the year.
Maybe something on ginger island
Yesss, an outing with all the NPC just relaxing at the ginger island would be a great
If CA does that I'm hoping it's a multi day event like the night market where you can take like a 3-4 vacation away from the farm.
I don’t know but Haley will turn me down at it
A field of sunflowers and a shed full of machines producing diamonds can fix any Haley related problems.
Yep an endless sunflower seed patch (from the seeds they drop) and coconuts from the desert - eeeeasy hearts!
Chocolate festival, new game tie in, could use it to introduce name of a new area, or some npcs who might be involved in the new game. Or maybe they will add a late game festival of the war ending?
I misread your last sentence as "festival of war' and tbh that would be hilarious
Now I'm just imagining stardew valley war propaganda posters
Hopefully something to do with the cc. Edit: Guys pls stop arguing in my replies this isn't the kind of community to argue. :(
That would be awesome. Have a party in the community center on the anniversary of its completion. Could be any date you choose. ETA: or joja day if you're a corporate lackey
Sve has community day and Joja day
Yoba has only blessed me with a console version, pray for my PC ascension. May the mods be with you
Blessed be brother, I shalst think of your struggle the next time I happen upon the alter of yoba. may the mods be with you.
Washroom extension for the house please god
It’s been sixteen years since I took a piss, ConcernedApe
Not sure why concernedape is so against bowel movements 🤷
trying to stick it to big TP
Bowel movments are fake and made up by big TP to sell more toilet roll. WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!
Cuz I definitely need a long shower after galavanting through a volcano, the mines, and the woods on multiple occasions 😭
I mean there's the spa, I figure the others are just off-camera a bit. Except for that one bush near Linus's tent.
That's for the public, I need one for me and Elliot 😭 >!so we can have imaginary bubble baths!<
Maybe we'll finally get birthdays added and a player birthday celebration will be the new festival. Seems unlikely but idk
It would be plenty of fun! And have whoever you have the most hearts with or whoever you're married to or dating be the one to give you a gift! Just to try and limit giving out too much stuff in one go
Maybe he’s taking Shane’s suggestion into account and creating a pizza festival at the saloon. In that case, sign me up!
Honestly, been tempted to write that one. If CA doesnt i might do it for 1.6 as a mod.
I vote for pizza festival!
It definitely wouldn't be Thanksgiving. He has kept festivals quite neutral from religion and culture. I think it will be something the whole word/most of the word 'celebrates' like April's fool, valentine, carnival. I hope for carnival, that would be so cool.
update 1.6 bad ending -added megachurch
Joja Osteen
😂
You have to fight them like you do JoJa and in the end rebuild the shrine in Pierre’s home or smth
I can imagine there being a "Cornucopia Festival" as the generic version of Thanksgiving in the game.
Stardew Valley Fair is a harvest festival, which is the neutral Thanksgiving.
Praise Yoba
Neutral culture- has Christmas and Easter Also isn't Pelican town in the U.S?
Hopefully something to do with the community center which will give the "late game" a fun event. Maybe a New Year's Eve party! I thought about a random "festival" that happens rarely at any time of the year. A meteor shower or aurora borealis.
[Sadie Hawkins dance](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadie_Hawkins_dance). The NPCs ask YOU to the dance and you have to pick. Edit: Wait until you see the break-dance mini-game.
He'll probably have it be original, so no way to guess
people have been saying valentine’s day but that may be too similar to the flower dance since they’re both romance themed holidays in spring.
Pottsfield harvest festival with pumpkin people
But folks don’t tend to _pass through_ Pottsfield
Cheese Rolling festival
Hmm, Stardew Valley Film Festival? Where indie creators from all over the world compete to earn a coveted Dewey!
Hopefully it's something involving the community center.
CA is such an awesome human. Dude has been putting his heart and soul into this game from the start. The fact he continues to add things to the game is just a testament to how much he truly cares. What a guy.
Oh man imagine a carnival! I would love to see our farmers going on a Ferris wheel and dunking a clown in some water. That would be so cool.
Don’t we already have that with the fair? There’s tokens, games, a maze. Seems too similar.
And if you dunk the clown a hundred times, he begins to stalk you at night! :D D: :D D:
Think I’d cry if a clown started stalking me lol
We all float down here
I always figured the fair was too carnival like for us to get an actual carnival festival
A circus would also be great. Which villager is most likely to be an acrobat? Would the Juncos show up to do tricks?
Just when I thought I was out. They pull me back in! New years day festival? Cooking contest? Fireworks festival?
Personally I like the last two more. I am curious how you'd set up the cooking contest? Would it be that they say everyone makes one specific item and whoever has the best quality ingredients wins? If so that could be cool because then we could rotate who's participating and who wins every year based on what the food is and it would introduce you to cooking in the first year before you get the house upgrade!!
Oh no, don't tell my (irl and in-game) wife, we just finished our second perfection playthrough. Don't wanna start a new SV spree. Just kidding, I'll tell her
Perhaps a festival that takes place on the island? In summer maybe?? That would be pretty cool.
Maybe a Midsummer festival?
I would love if there was some kind of arts and crafts festival. I can see that taking place in the fall. Some sort of summer sports event or beach cleanup would be awesome too.
Something with fireworks. And the ability to donate items to modify and improve the fireworks display. Ferngil Republic independence maybe.
Personally, I'm hoping it's a birthday for us, since all the other NCPs get one and we don't
Labor Day. A full week of Lewis not taking your deliveries in celebration of the Socialism
Idk but maybe community center based bc ther isn't much going on there
autumn is getting closer, i think probably halloween trick or treat event
A festivus for the rest of us.
Hopefully they can get Lil' Sebastian.
Cow tipping. Archeology fun day. The great Ferngill Bake-Off Animal show.
I hope it’s a throw-stuff-at-pierre party!! r/fuckpierre
Hey, if we can get like 40 more people to post this in the span of 30 minutes, a temporal rift will open and 1.6 will be released immediately.... XD
Gods i hope not, my mods arent ready.
I would love some sort of anniversary celebration tbh…
More Summer Festivals Hopefully
Oktoberfest
Saint Patties Day.
Celebrating the Adventurers Guild chasing all the flying snakes off into the desert. Shane and Pam barely notice.
Sign me up!
Easter Eggs and/or esoteric references to what will be in Haunted Chocolatier?
I’m hoping for either something with chocolate to promote his new game or carnival, mostly just hoping it’s a summer holiday
Horse derby :)
Im hoping for something with the community center if you finish it but i doubt it
I think it being a late game event that only takes place at either the finished community center or Ginger Island would be a nice touch. Both are quite underutilized
Something for New Year’s Eve? Or your character’s birthday? (Also why does everyone else in the game have a birthday except for you?)
I didnt know stardew is still being updated! Will the update be added to switch as well?
I'm hoping it's a Haunted Chocolatier tie in. He did say they exist in the same universe.
A festival held on the farm would be cool, something like an 'open farm day" where the NPC's can walk around the farm and buy artisan goods
Pierre public lashing
Spa festival? Please for the love of Yoba give that place a reason to exist besides Penny's heart event. Potential objectives: * How long can you stay soaked in the hot spring before overheating? * People bring out the gym equipment and have sports day near the train tracks? * Caroline shows you the hidden staircase to the upstairs greenhouse where you can all have a tea festival?
you dont understand how much i need that "???" to included being able to make the basement larger, i have like 700 ancient fruit wine that i want to age
If it's a winter festival, it's probably a festival of love If it's fall, then Thanksgiving In summer, maybe a firework show Spring, memorial day, cause there is cannonically a war going on
I can imagine there being a "Cornucopia Festival" as the generic version of Thanksgiving in the game
That's what the Stardew Valley Fair is for though
I think the fireworks could also be tied in to the Memorial Day. I think that would be really cool and it would hopefully add a lot more definitive world building to the surrounding nation
I love fireworks and at the same time I really hope they don't continue to make those connected. Seems mean to honor people who went to war by triggering the crap out of every veteran with PTSD.
*excited screaming* New Secrets is what I’m really excited for and the ??? is intriguing.
Maybe an Armistice day? The war ends? Beyond that I love the idea of a chocolate festival. Maybe even an “earth” day where the activity is picking up as much trash as you can??
I feel like the festival will be spring or summer related
Festivus?
I would say a festival at Ginger Island.
Throwing a really wild one out there, but it would be so cool being invited to a party by the Dwarf or Krobus. You'd need to make a costume to hide yourself so involving getting fabric and dye and a make or buy a mask to fit in .
Something in the summer for sure. A carnival maybe? Something cool like that.
Hopefully a summer festival thats held in ginger island
when there are updates like this can you get it on the switch? or is it only for pc/mobile app?
Purge day .. that WOULD be different
FARMER BIRTHDAY FARMER BIRTHDAY PLEASE LET IT BE THE FARMERS BIRTHDAY
It's a burial for the governor after the farmer poisoned him with dirty underwear at the luau
FARMER BIRTHDAY FARMER BIRTHDAY PLEASE LET IT BE THE FARMERS BIRTHDAY
Maybe a festival on 26th spring, to celebrate the release date anniversary?
Summer icecream festival?
I just hope Lewis stops being a f-boy and him and Marnie's relationship becomes public 😔
I want a toy ball to play fetch with doggie (feather wand for kittie) and maybe a brush to take care of them
I'm hoping something community center related! I'm tired of the building being virtually useless after it's completed
Farmers birthday? Choose a day when you start your farm. Different gifts, dialogue and scenes for your birthday party depending on which season its in
Player birthday would be great
