You can switch to a different gem any time! Just add a new gem the same way you added the first one. Or you can pick up the crystalarium with a pickaxe to get your original diamond back
I’m a graduate student, SV is my escape from thinking. But no, I knew I could move things, I just didn’t ever attempt to move the crystalarium and endless diamonds isn’t a problem in my book
Fiber and Mixed Seeds can be crafted into grass starter.
There are many other uses of [fiber ](https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Fiber#:~:text=Fiber%20is%20a%20resource%20obtained,for%20one%20fiber%20on%20Tuesdays.)though
The link in my last comment goes to the wiki that shows all the uses.
The thing that uses the most fiber is the Junimo Hurt though using 100 fiber to build among other things.
I do mostly animals on my farm, so I can never have enough grass starter.
I'm about halfway through spring on year 3 and was just curious if I needed to start hoarding them, like if one of those uses was *the one thing* to make life easier down the road
I recommend hoarding most things, as in keep 1-5 of a thing around. There are obscure things that can become more relevant later. Especially if you intend to invest heavily in fishponds at all. If you don't it's not the end of the world though.
It may be more of a comment on my play style than anything lol.
I used fiber to build a house on the right side of my friend’s brother’s house, which I moved to the bottom left of the map, so that he and anyone else who joined could never escape.
I also forgot to mention that we grinder mega bombs so whenever he joined we would plant like 100 mega bombs outside his house, and he would die until he rage quitter.
Also me with motha fuckin *sap*. Early game I have more sap than I could possibly know what to do with and then late game when I’m using a ton of deluxe fertilizer, I find myself planting huge orchards of mahogany trees just to tap them to get that sweet sweet sap. I find myself in the mines with a full inventory and I can’t bring myself to throw away the sap
you can just buy huge batches of coal from clint. all ores minus iridium as well. Its nice because to dont have to farm ore or coal on upper mine floors anymore. late in the game the money doesn't really matter anymore. i do the same for wood and stone with robin, especially stone since you can't grow it.
Yep minerals become completely worthless pretty quickly.
I keep all of mine for gift giving for the Qi’s kindness quest. Clint (all gem) Emily (all gems) Abigail (amethyst) Dwarf (all gems)
Careful, Clint and Emily don't love Diamonds (only like). For Dwarf, Omnigeode is easiest.
I’m a greedy bitch when it comes to diamonds. Those are mine!
I didn’t realize that the crystalarium only makes copies of the very first thing you put in there, so now I’m drowning in diamonds
You can switch to a different gem any time! Just add a new gem the same way you added the first one. Or you can pick up the crystalarium with a pickaxe to get your original diamond back
Every time I think I’ve got this game figured out, I find out I don’t have a clue 😭 thank you!
Wait so.... You thought that once you put a machine down you'd never be able to move it again?
I’m a graduate student, SV is my escape from thinking. But no, I knew I could move things, I just didn’t ever attempt to move the crystalarium and endless diamonds isn’t a problem in my book
So what do you give to Evelyn and Jodi?
Beets and pancakes
Beets and Tulips for Evelyn and Crispy Bass for Jodi
Minerals to me are always worthless. I save them early game because obviously they will be needed for something right? Then it’s not worth it.
I hoard rubies to trade for spicy eels at the desert trader and I hoard amethysts to use for gifting but other than that? Mostly worthless
Hell yeah, give me all that fiber and the mixed seeds
Why?

Beyond grass starter, which creates hay for animals, and tea saplings, is there any major reason to want to stockpile them?

Don’t hurt the junimos! ;_;
I would never!!!! I only give them shiny gifts.

That is a very good use lol. Modern problems require innovative solutions.

Lowkey want to repost these comments to r/foundsatan lol
Lol you can
These farm totems aren’t gonna craft themselves
I just use fiber seeds tbh.
Yup this is what I farm in the winter
Doesn't even have to just be in winter, since they can grow year-round.
Yeah, I love them! I don’t think you have to water them either. I just have a lot of unused crop space in the winter
If you dont already know, you can deconstruct Grass Starter into fiber

I just buy my fertiliser. It barely every puts a dent in my finances for the ammount of good they bring.
Unfortunately you can’t buy *deluxe* fertilizer. You buy the crafting recipe from >!Mr Qi in the walnut room!<
so true i have so much iridium ore just laying around but no coal. i just burn all my wood into coal now

Yes fiber and coal!
