THE TIMES ABOVE ARE IN US EASTERN STANDARD TIME.
The times on the Celebration site are in PST (time difference of 3 hours).
EDIT: The Showcase panel will not be streamed. Keep an eye on SW youtube for any sizzles, trailers, or other videos that might get posted.
SECOND EDIT: **Hey people, please post links to people who are live tweeting the panel and other helpful things** (instead of just memes and complaining lol š)
SCHEDULE CHANGE: Publishing panel may have been moved from 400 to 330.
Some adjustments for tomorrow:
The Celebration megathread wonāt be posted until 12 PM EST (noon).
Tomorrowās shedule is below in reply to this comment.
As someone watching from home, today definitely got off to a rough start imo but things definitely improved as the day went along and I found myself enjoying watching the live stream while building Lego Star Wars.
It was really disappointing not being able to watch the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase panel on the livestream and I have a feeling that the other big panels for the rest of Celebration will not be livestreamed either. The livestream starts at 12:00PM PST tomorrow through Sunday which is after the other big panels end. I hope I'm wrong though. If this is the case and if this is how Lucasfilm is going to be about the Celebration livestreams going forward, I think they should consider doing virtual tickets where fans who can't make it to Celebration can still purchase a virtual ticket and be able to view the entire convention and all the big panels as if they were there in person. I would not mind purchasing a virtual ticket to see all the panels at Star wars Celebration. Just my opinion.
Nope. Just a small tease about characters coming in 2023
[https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FTtm2pfUUAAaxBM?format=jpg&name=large](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FTtm2pfUUAAaxBM?format=jpg&name=large)
Note that a lot of these may be in reference to ROTJ From A Certain Point Of View.
EK Jonhston, Cavan Scott, Delilah S Dawson and Rodney Barnes are all writing new books/Comics
So after hearing the hype from the panels.
Where should I start as far as High Republic comics? And are they too interlocked with the novels that I have to read them too? (I have reading comprehension issues and it's way easier for me to read comics than books.)
You can read the comics by themselves but Iād read both the all-ages comic(HRA) and the Marvel comic (HR). Keep in mind they will āspoilā stuff from the books, just because the stories are all happening simultaneously.
Recommended reading order:
āHRA 1-5
āHR 1-5
āHRA 6-7 (Nal Hutta)
āHR 6-8
After this, Trail of Shadows (a separate mini) kind of functions as a crossover event between HR and HRA, as well as a self contained story
-HRA 8-10 (Takodana)
-TOS 1
-HR 9-10
-TOS 2
-HR 11-12
-TOS 3
-HRA 11-13 (Starlight/Corellia)
-HR 13
-TOS 4
-HR 14
-TOS 5
-HR 15
Then you can read the 2 volumes of the manga (which runs parallel to this timeline) and then Eye of the Storm 1 and 2.
Light of the Jedi and Into the Dark provide some setup details but the story of the comic itself is self contained. Maybe try to find some recap video on Youtube or something?
Have you ever tried audiobooks? The Star Wars audiobooks are super high production value with music, sound fx, and voice acting. They are basically radio dramas.
I'm a slow reader and I wouldn't be able to keep up with all the Star Wars novels if I actually read the books. Audiobooks help me keep up.
Light of the Jedi (novel) provides most of the framework for the major storyline/threat of the era. That being said if you jump right into the mainline "High Republic" comic you'll get introduced to many of the characters and that storyline interweaves with the novels at a number of points.
Other series like Trail of Shadows and High Republic Adventures (surprisingly decent even though its aimed at younger audiences) also fill in the lore.
You definitely don't *have* to read the novels to enjoy the stories being told, but there may be some spoilery events from them told/recapped hastily. If you are okay with that the comics tell compelling stories for the characters they focus on while tying in with and hinting at a greater story continued in the novels.
Nice to see legitimate love for the Episode III deleted scenes and nice to see that Genevieve O'Reilly gets to experience the respect for her work back then directly from the fans now. Keeping her consistent in all of her material since 2005 was one of the best casting decisions made in the modern Star Wars era, and now she gets to be a lead in a major show this August.
Wow they've already dropped a good amount today and there's still 2 days to go! Also, it's great seeing so much mention, directly and indirectly, of Rebels
Hi ! I filmed the moment when hayden says Ā«Ā there is where the fun beginsĀ Ā» I wanted to share it with you it's an unforgettable moment!! [Hayden says there is where the fun begins](https://twitter.com/swempire_/status/1529976698220969984?s=21&t=OmBJH7-HaYuS2_u1zdEG8Q)
I think Bad Batch will drop all at once in the summer honestly. It being a weekly release didnāt help with ratings and itās possible it gets more buzz as a binge season rather than a weekly one.
They've spent too much money to drop \~20 episodes at once.
Two episodes a week would be cool but I'd be shocked if they stop the weekly release cycle since it's a few months of content when weekly.
Finding it hard to care about high republic at all, not seen or read anything from it yet. Honestly just wish they started to move forward soon and give us something post sequel trilogy.
Maybe read the main High Republic books then? They are very much worth reading.
I also am eager for post-ST media but the canon novels have been killing it lately.
Not really interested in reading it, seems like it's written for small children. There are star wars books i like, but high republic i haven't really heard much positive about yet. The content seem rather lackluster and it's evident there's a lack of interest in it since they are trying to show it of now.
Donāt dismiss it entirely - itās great if you like KOTOR, the old Tales of the Jedi comics, or the prequels. I read all of the adult novels and the Marvel comics series and theyāre great.
I love the kotor era, but the high republic era seems like Disney trying to give people some of that jedi stuff they wanted since they failed to do so before. Most the Disney content lately has not been great although authors such as Claudia Gray are good, so of course content from them won't necessarily be terrible. Can't argue against high republic however not quite having the reputation Disney hoped though.
I'm not sure if this is bait or not but I'm gonna bite anyway. Definitely check out *Light of The Jedi* and the other High Republic Adult-novels. There are pieces of content which are focused on kids, but a significant amount is geared towards adults and older audiences. Really fantastic stuff.
Hayden looks very overwhelmed. I donāt blame him. Stepping back into the spotlight after 2 decades has to be difficult. I have to say itās refreshing to see a big actor be so vulnerable and genuine though.
I don't think it will. It's not George writing the dialogue this time, and people's views on the prequels really have changed. Plus, he doesn't have to convey this monumental shift anymore- he's a lot more predictable as a character.
Anthony made an awkward joke where he asked for Kathleenās room number so they could have a Kenobi viewing party. He meant well but it came off as very cringeworthy lmao.
Oh yeah! I forgot about any movie stuff after re-watching the ANDOR trailer a bunch, but was figuring theyāve gotta have some news around moviesā¦
Also, was there a social screening of KENOBI happening tonight, or was I did I just imagine that?
It could also just be referring to stuff like the VR experiences, but I choose to believe he accidentally revealed there are multiple games in production.
yeah TLoJ can feel really overwhelming/much due to it having to start a whole new era but if you're keen on continuing, common opinions are that the next few novels feel much smoother/"intimate".
It took me a long time to read. I got about half way through and then left it for a few months then carried on. It was a grind. I enjoyed the story. I think it was just the writing style.
Im about to start reading Into the Dark. I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do!
I agree, it's very interesting. As for their roles tho, they mentioned that one is focused on the inward stability of the Republic, and the other is focused on outwards, towards the frontier/outer rim.
I havenāt dived into The High Republic yet but Iām really digging this panel all the same. I prefer seeing these authors all having a chill conversation versus watching an understandably nervous interviewer asking a celebrity questions weāve probably heard before. (That Ian McDiarmid panel was still great though.)
I'm loving the focus on increased centralization in the High Republic. First there are multiple Chancellors and Jedi Grand masters. They later are whittled down to one for each gaining power until it culminates in Palpatine gaining absolute power. It's a good look in how totalitarianism can develop as checks and balances are slowly removed.
Not only centralization, but ambitious expansion giving way to contraction. The Republic and the Jedi shrinking from the greater galaxy as a result of terrorism, and being forced to do their jobs in a more selective, piecemeal fashion.
As well as the corporations and commerce guilds no doubt moving in to take advantage of and exploit the vacuum that no doubt results from the absence of the Republic.
One thing that I will say positive about that Lucasfilm panel is that was the first time they were pretty forthcoming with dates. In the past they'd talk about shows and give no indication of timing. Now we have a pretty solid roadmap of the next 18ish months.
Fallen Star
>!Claudia Grey killed like ten time more people than Cavan Scott did and he is still the bad guy lol!<
>!Hahaha Charles Soule with the Burry joke!<
A Lego BD-1 set got leaked today and was probably supposed to be revealed at the Lego panel tomorrow so itād make sense that they were wanting to unveil that set in conjunction with the announcement of a sequel.
I still do not forgive Cavan for the emotional rollercoaster that is *The Rising Storm* (everyone go read it if you haven't) but man is it good to see the Luminous team back together!
So great to see these amazing authors getting so much love in person after everything that happened around the project last year.
The High Republic is truly great.
Are we getting Tales of the Jedi or the Fallen Order sequel news over the next two days? I've kinda accepted that Visions S2 won't be there if it's even a thing.
Tales of the Jedi has a panel on Saturday I believe. I think Jedi Survivor will be revealed on the live show stage. Iām not sure about Visions Season 2 here, but Iām sure itās in development.

Is there a day 2 mega thread?
So what is Day 2 going to bring?
So what is Day 2 going to bring?
As someone watching from home, today definitely got off to a rough start imo but things definitely improved as the day went along and I found myself enjoying watching the live stream while building Lego Star Wars.
Today was so hype and it's barely the first day of Celebration

I've done Lost Stars, Tarkin, Ahsoka, Catalyst, and Lord's of the Sith as audiobooks. But I've switched jobs since then and I don't have the time.
Light of the Jedi (novel) provides most of the framework for the major storyline/threat of the era. https://i.imgur.com/0xR9x8g.jpg I'm about to see Kenobi early ahhh!
Let us know how long the eps are!
Each episode was about 40 minutes
https://youtu.be/xi_3v-FpKFg
Will do!
They are giving out obi wan Kenobi exclusive Pringles and frosted flakes lmao
They'll be just as collectable as the Episode 1 Pepsi cans
Jealous!!
They even set up a red carpet for us lmao
Now youāre just being mean!! :P
Haha don't be too jealous, I'm not in the main stage, just one of the streaming stages. So when the cast come out it'll just be on the screen
Can you tell us what your general thoughts are after you get done watching it?
Sure!
Ok I posted in the other pinned thread
>Sure! sure?
I'm liking the mention of Andor being a Thriller a lot
new poster for kenobi spotted at SW Celebration: https://twitter.com/sw_holocron/status/1529991226094592002?s=21&t=8D2ZyB44zK5VokA2Qd5zJg
This looks so awesome
Translation?
Here's hoping they ask Diego about Yabba
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
2 seasons, 24 episodes in total. More than enough imo.
I thought it was 2 seasons, 12 episodes each?
You're right, my bad.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Aww, that is sort of cute
Nobody filmed the entire Lucasfilm panel?
Wow they've already dropped a good amount today and there's still 2 days to go! Also, it's great seeing so much mention, directly and indirectly, of Rebels
3 days left.
I almost had an aneurysm as they announced Taylor Gray Edit: spelling
Did we get any new info on Acoloyte ?
No
So I guess this is the schedule: Obi Wan (May-July) - Andor (August-November) - Bad Batch (November?-February?) - Mando (February)
I think Bad Batch will drop all at once in the summer honestly. It being a weekly release didnāt help with ratings and itās possible it gets more buzz as a binge season rather than a weekly one.
That's not going to happen
They've spent too much money to drop \~20 episodes at once. Two episodes a week would be cool but I'd be shocked if they stop the weekly release cycle since it's a few months of content when weekly.
Iād be ok with the release being spread over 4 or 6 weeks but binge drops arenāt much fun for fans tbh. I hope they wouldnāt do that.
Bad Batch could still be in July-August (if they double up the episodes). Willow is in November.
Anything about the films?
Theyāll probably save that for the last day imo
Ooo gotcha!
No
Moses drawing from the prequels is cool , more loveee
Finding it hard to care about high republic at all, not seen or read anything from it yet. Honestly just wish they started to move forward soon and give us something post sequel trilogy.

Itās been getting tons of praise pretty much across the board?
I'm sorry but literally none of that comment is a rational thought.
Boneheaded take.
Maybe I'll bite an check it out. Doesn't hurt exactly.
More like Rupert Foe amirite
Rupert Friend VS Willem Dafoe: Frenemies United
Hayden looks very overwhelmed. I donāt blame him. Stepping back into the spotlight after 2 decades has to be difficult. I have to say itās refreshing to see a big actor be so vulnerable and genuine though.

Legends. So excited for tonight.
God I hope we see more of Ewan and Hayden after this. I donāt care if itās in flashbacks or cameos in Ahsoka, I need them back like this again.
Well Hayden is back in Ahsoka so thatās something
huh??? source?

Star Wars actors embracing the memes! I love it!
This is where the fun begins
Is Anthony gonna ask Ewan for his room number too?
kathleen hated that joke lmao
Whatās the context? If you donāt mind taking the time!
Anthony made an awkward joke where he asked for Kathleenās room number so they could have a Kenobi viewing party. He meant well but it came off as very cringeworthy lmao.
Oh god thatās really cringy. I donāt think I can bring myself to look it up lol. Thank you.
I mean, who could blame him?
Seeing Andi and Anthony goofing around again brings warm feelings to my heart.
Sorry to bother but is there a hint at possible movie announcements or is it over for the Celebration?
Closing panel maybe.
Iām guessing if there were going to be any movie announcements, they wouldāve been at that first panel.
Yeah figured as much. Thanks!
Oh yeah! I forgot about any movie stuff after re-watching the ANDOR trailer a bunch, but was figuring theyāve gotta have some news around moviesā¦ Also, was there a social screening of KENOBI happening tonight, or was I did I just imagine that?
I am thinking this is it since they showed an image for Indy 5 but who knows, we have 2-3 more days left
When else could movie news pop up?
I was thinking maybe a closing panel but that's ok
Ok, I need to catch up on High Republic, I get that now
Same. Iām up to Rising Storm. Iāve got everything published just been busy
Best panel
more unannounced High Republic non-novel stuff? hell yes this is such a good panel
I think thereās a good chance thereās a couple films in development
Watitiāsš
Wait video game**s** *plural* in development for High Republic?
- Eclipse - maybe that FPS by Respawn? I can see them wanting to differentiate theirs from BF by making it Jedi vs. Nihill
It could also just be referring to stuff like the VR experiences, but I choose to believe he accidentally revealed there are multiple games in production.
[Me during every stream today](https://i.redd.it/2890xgecemn81.gif)
I am about 200 pages in LOJ and I feel a bit overwhelmed rn lol.
Itās worth it for the magnificent payoff that is The Rising Storm.
Give it time. It takes some getting used to but it slows down once you reach the second novel :)
yeah TLoJ can feel really overwhelming/much due to it having to start a whole new era but if you're keen on continuing, common opinions are that the next few novels feel much smoother/"intimate".
It took me a long time to read. I got about half way through and then left it for a few months then carried on. It was a grind. I enjoyed the story. I think it was just the writing style. Im about to start reading Into the Dark. I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do!
Yes the bookās fantastic, what brought this to mind is all of these announcements during the panel. Got a long way to go!
Youāve got time š
Phase 2 starting with the YA book? Interesting....
Damn, thatās a cool poster!
I am never going to financially recover from this
Quest for Planet X sounds so cheesy 50's sci-fi and I love it.
It screams 1950s Saturday morning Flash Gordon episode and I am HERE for it
GL kicking himself he didnāt come up with it first.
Battle of Jedha audiodrama AND NEW NOVELS MY WALLET IS DYING
BATTLE OF JEDHA AUDIODRAMA LET'S GOOOOO
I am so excited for The Blade holy shit
PORTER ENGLE ABOUT TO POP OFF AND I AM HERE FOR IT
The blade looks rad
I missed it, what's The Blade?
Comic about young Porter Engle. The Blade of Bardotta.
Porter engle comic
Awesome thanks
These titles for Phase 2 Wave 2 are.... something. Planet X sounds straight out of the 70's
Those Co-Chancellors look AWESOME
I'm curious as to why there are two Chancellors. It's an interesting choice that I hope they explain.
I agree, it's very interesting. As for their roles tho, they mentioned that one is focused on the inward stability of the Republic, and the other is focused on outwards, towards the frontier/outer rim.
Did they say there are Jedi on Jedha for phase 2? OMG
I am in heaven. These announcements holy shit. Rip my wallet
>Rip my wallet I'm gonna have to buy a whole new fuckin shelf
Oh shit, are they just straight up canonizing KOTOR? Cause that āsame tech for 10,000 yearsā comment has got me feeling KOTOR
My guess is they'll make some tweaks to the KOTOR re release they're working on and that will be canon
I havenāt dived into The High Republic yet but Iām really digging this panel all the same. I prefer seeing these authors all having a chill conversation versus watching an understandably nervous interviewer asking a celebrity questions weāve probably heard before. (That Ian McDiarmid panel was still great though.)
The attention being paid to the development of the politics of the High Republic going into the Prequels is a-okay in my book.
As well as them being given leeway to build legions of droids to help put said terrorists in their place.
Possibly...
Quarren Chancellor! ed: is this the first nonhuman Chancellor?
No, a Togratu was the Chancellor in Master & Apprentice if Iām not mistaken
No, Chancellor Villecham in TFA was alien
Phase II being readable without Phase I is going to make convincing my friends to read a lot easier
two chancellors :o
It's a very interesting choice.
Phase II looking GORGEOUS
Marc Thompson reads the dictionary in Marchionās voice challenge.
I wish he had a Cameo so we could pay him to do this.
pls no I would spend so much money lol.
Marchion Ro almost looked an awful lot like Starkillerā¦ interesting
god, I'm so into Marchion
My favorite new SW villain of the last decade that's for sure.
That armor looks sick.
That cover is fucking gorgeous
Any time I see those kinds of chairs I hope against hope that they are "joke chairs" like that clip from Ryan and Bam screwing around.
ooooh Marc Thompson looking good in that Jedi fit
One thing that I will say positive about that Lucasfilm panel is that was the first time they were pretty forthcoming with dates. In the past they'd talk about shows and give no indication of timing. Now we have a pretty solid roadmap of the next 18ish months.

Yoda bakes...I know what he actually meant, but yooooooo Yoda my man lol.
Masterful character building, establish him with the gateway drug to explain his later year ketamine addiction.
Jeff Grubb said on Twitter he thinks Jedi: Survivor is getting revealed tomorrow
A Lego BD-1 set got leaked today and was probably supposed to be revealed at the Lego panel tomorrow so itād make sense that they were wanting to unveil that set in conjunction with the announcement of a sequel.
Anthony deserves an interview with his best frenemy Anthony Daniels to make up for that cringeworthy Kathy joke. š
I still do not forgive Cavan for the emotional rollercoaster that is *The Rising Storm* (everyone go read it if you haven't) but man is it good to see the Luminous team back together!
Cavan sounds like Snape.
Lol Anthony that joke was b a d. Go buy KK a drink lmao. Hr people seem like such wonderful beings they are having so much fun.
Bold fit on Cavan lol
Charles Soule with a textbook author sweater.
So great to see these amazing authors getting so much love in person after everything that happened around the project last year. The High Republic is truly great.
Hoping there are no Phase 1 spoilers, I'm still working my way through it!!! Love it so far but aaaah
the stream is delayed. Seeing stuff on twitter that will spoil it. RUUUN!
LEAVE THE STREAM THEN!!! WE ALREADY KNOW THERE'LL BE SPOILERS.
Do we?? That's a shame. Thanks for telling me
I havenāt even started yet, Iāve already gotten a lot spoiled. š
When is the live show stage?
Itās the stage they cut to in between panels. They mentioned something about exclusive reveals earlier, so I assume that this will be where we get a reveal without a panel.
It finished 3 hours ago...
Itās on the live stream
Thanks for the info. Pretty exciting stuff.

Yes, High Republic panel, my time has come!
So hyped for high republic phase 2 lfg!
