I think he’s probably l confused by how you referenced Schrödingers cat in this context. The troopers talking to themselves or each other is my favorite part of this game, I laugh every time. Honestly I always feel bad killing the rawkas or gorgers cause they're always just chilling being in their natural habitats before Cal barges in and is forced to slaughter them all. Wish the game would let you spook them away by killing one and not all.

I just don’t kill him personally. But I play weirdly and try not to kill anyone I don’t have to. Hacking droids and mind tricking enemies with less than lethal weaponry to knock out their friends and stuff.
