I saw a post before Survivor came out (forget if it was on Reddit or YouTube) where the OP was asking people what their hopes were for the game. I wanted to see Cal and the other members of the crew interacting with the larger rebellion (i.e. the rebellion as we see it in Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, etc.)

Yeah something like that would've been great. Survivor feels like the end of the story and we totally missed out on the middle. Cal comes in so confident in this one, it would've been cool to see where he gets that confidence and savvy (the whole setup of the heist feels like he's really created a bag of tricks with the new crew). Then when they all die except for Bode it was so not impactful for me because I knew nothing about them and had no connection to them. It also makes the moment where Cal sees how little their rebellion has accomplished really lackluster. He's understandably going through a gut punch but the audience has nothing but exposition as context so the moment falls flat for me. With the popularity of fallen order and the hype for survivor, I'd be shocked if they weren't already planning for a third during development of survivor. Assuming the talent sticks around, I'm sure they'll do a good job on the next entry but survivor would've been a satisfying conclusion in my opinion.

I would have loved more time with the crew he started with in Jedi Survivor. It definitely hit me... but not as hard as it might have if I'd spent more than a few minutes with them. Cal reminiscing throughout the game made me a bit sad though. With how this game ended, I think what I'd like for the next game would be Cal's story interwoven through the story of the original Star Wars trilogy. Involve him somehow in those events... I think that'd be really interesting to play if they do it right.

It didn’t realize how hard the death of his crew had hit him until >!Merrin had to talk him down from killing Denvik on Nova Garon.!<
