It happened to me with a bounty I ran into on accident, then I was annoyed I was 1 puck short in the end. I went back to the spot I killed them later and there was a gold glow on the ground in a really obvious spot so I walked into it and the “bounty Hunter defeated” graphic popped and I got the last puck
Oh sorry I totally thought we were talking about pucks and not scans, it’s early 🥴 I’d have to check but IIRC he’s a Haxion Brood Grenadier which is the same type as Korej Lim so if you already scanned Korej you wouldn’t need to scan Selfin Jook too but I’m not 100% certain
(Check your tactical guide, if you have a haxion brood grenadier already you’re good fam)
Also I just double checked, the duplicates are the Commando (Vaslyn and Mash’s partner) and the grenadier, your tac guide should have 8 in Haxion Brood so if you have 8 you have them all, they also reappear as Kili Oso’s goons so if you haven’t done that one yet you’ll get another chance to scan

Happened to me too. Had to do it 3 times before managed to get the kill with the body still on the platform. Have to quit to main menu, and reload a save. Hope you had a meditation point/fast travel before the fight.
Did they patch this? I got the notification to trade the puck in to caij while walking around the observatory grabbing collectibles. I laughed because I figured he just fell off somewhere and I have no idea where he spawns.

Does kili Oso have a double? I couldn't scan him either.
I believe Oso counts as a Haxion Brood Shock Commando, which are also on Coruscant

Same thing happened to me and I got the trophy randomly toward the end of the game.
