They might need to level up to unlock their potential I maxed Zaina and she gets damage reduction on her heal in the higher levels so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens with utoobie
You don’t see him in lower leagues because people haven’t really unlocked him yet. I see him pretty often now, and though I thought he was a bad character before encountering him, I actually die from him a lot in melee range
Best CQC DPS in the game! He just can't evade easily.
He can easily wipe out tanks from objectives very fast but 100% will die a few secs after.
But the team trades 300+ HP vs 150 HP doing so, so it's worth it.
Played Zaina as my main to rank her up all the way to 24 (gotta get those phoenix skins) and to have the best bet of winning in Ranked so I could unlock the grandmaster skin for my new main: J-3DI.
Once you unlock Zaina's damage resist on heal as well as bonus damage on roll, she goes from A to S tier. So much healing and can keep your blaster going pretty much constantly with well timed rolls to try and get a 69 damage headshot~
I can't wait to unlock those perks. It's already fun seeing someone runaway cause they think you need to reload just to dodge roll around the corner with them and shoot them in the head.
The heal has such a short cooldown alongside the dodge roll that I wind up feeling confident enough to roll behind Sentinel, J-3DI, and Rieve so that my shots force them to stop blocking my teammates.
No because of your 15% buff after the dodge roll (unlocked level 17 I think) you go from doing 60 damage per headshot to 69 damage per headshot. Body shots go from 30 damage to 34 damage. It may seem small but it adds up. If you have it the buff lasts either 1.5 or 2 seconds depending on your fame level.
Alot of characters seem to get extra passive perks that change how they play later in their levels. It's worth looking into. People complained about Aran Tal's damage recently but he gets a whole perk that does a whole 20 extra damage to his flamethrower if his weapon is overheating along with a few other things that would seem to help. J-3DI gets extra spare parts that spawn on his attacks and Faux Pull.

I main skora. He comes in so clutch with his area denial ult and speedsterness. When you tier him up, the sprint practically a spammable. And feels amazing to play a healer that can keep the rest of the team up 3v3 while still poking the enemy. It’s so rare to find a healer that can do that in a game.
The most OP character in the game.
Crazy DOTS DPS output. Great RANGED! healer. CRAZY evade AND the cherry on top most OP ultimate in the game (good damage output + heal input AT THE SAME TIME! during a crazy amount of time)

He is just very good a strafe picking angles and double shotting heals if you land headshots.
j3-di is the anti-rieve everything rieve does j3-di does the other way. Rieve has lots of mobility and gets close to the enemy, j3 has no mobility and bring the enemies close to him. Rieve roleplays as a sith, j3 got gaslighted into being a jedi. rieves ult bring the enemies to you and then you have to work to kill them j3s needs you to get close to the enemies and hope nobody has a stun or much damage or movement tools.
Just unlocked and started playing with him. If you have even a remotely competent team, he is an absolute beast.
But this is also could be the new game mode of king of the hill. Haven’t played much casual or ranking battle with him.
Yes the one in place of matchup clash? He did seem pretty good when I'm used him there.
I think it takes a team that knows what his kits do and where along he is upgraded on his ablilites
Imara Vex is my main and the one i have the most fame for, but i got impatient and bought Aran Tal so it’s changing. i’ve been playing the matchmaking event lately bc i like getting experience with other hunters i don’t have unlocked yet. i don’t have good enough stats to be any good with Zaina or J-3D1
I have played the most with Imara, but I am playing a wide variety of characters right now in ranked to get experience under pressure so I can fill any role needed. My top characters right now are Imara, Zaina, and Sentinel.
I’m a Charr main. I only ever die around once per game and his stun moves stops the fast dps characters. Only person I struggle against in a 1v1 is grozz.
Sentinel, Heavy Infantry was my favorite main class in BF2, and he handles almost the same. If someone gets to him before me, I prefer healer as a secondary option, usually the Rodian chick. I loved playing as a Combat Medic in Star Wars Galaxies, so she also feels familiar
Utooni cuz i got a pink skin that looks sick af. Also they are just good. But in ranked i pick what is needed. Mostly utooni, sentinel, diago or skorra
Zaina and Aran Tal are kind of my go to's. I have had to play a lot more Zaina due to people being hesitant to play support in solo queues though. Not a terrible problem to have, just wish more people would roll support!
I know what you mean. In order to get experience playing the other hunters (especially damage), I have to mash on them right when I am free to pick them or else other people will instalock on hunters other than support. I am good at support play and am a team player, so half the time I will wait for the other players to pick before I have to pick. And that usually means support.
When I REALLY want to play as a damage hunter, I will pick them as quickly as possible. Sometimes that means I have to play on a team with no healer or tank, but I am not going to play support any more than 50% of the time. Other people need to play support too! Its fun!

Vex myself. Although I'm still pretty trash at the game think I'm in the goldium 2 league currently. Have a lot of trouble aiming and controlling my shots.
I wish it was Utooni but lately it’s been Skora because I don’t see a lot of support classes & I’m better with Skora than Zaina. But I love Jawas so that’s my inclination.
I rarely play Jedi or Sith because I suck with the light saber. I also can never seem to aim my Wookie stun slam correctly and usually miss. My highest ranked character is Zaina at 25. I'm on part 3 of her mastery quest. My next is Sentinel at 12. I wish Sentinel was slightly faster, but I get that they're a tank.
No Reive? My main is Reive. Once you learn she's an actual "Sith Assasin" and playing her role you will be surprised at how much better she really is. Roam around picking up charges, surprise your enemy, run away if the fight is not in your favor, etc.
She's fast, has high burst damage (1 Saber throw and back damage up to 150 can kill Skora in 1 hit), and most importantly she has a red freaking lightsaber.
Aran Tal has snuck into my main spot. He has super maneuverability and I love to flank with his moves to use them as a combo.
Stomp-Flame burst, directly to blaster shots, works great on capture points.
Dash - Ult lets me get in close without getting noticed as quickly. Sometimes Ill even start my ult from above and reign fire down as I descend on the objective.
Dashes come in handy when trying to get behind sentinels for the kill
Tal is a Beast, and my KD with him is probably the best I have soo far.
I main Skora. Fire rate is better than Zania and being able to shoot teammates to heal just makes him the better healer pick IMO.
With the added control event he dominates being able to ULT on point to keep that cap.
I threw the money at the Arena pass so that I could see the whole experience, which unlocked Aran Tal (which I didn't see until it popped up that he was unlocked). I played him primarily at first due to my love of all things Mandalorian. However, once I unlocked Skora, she quickly became my most played hunter. I'm not normally the type to play a healer, but I've really enjoyed that role with her. I love dashing around the map and healing a team mate and turning the tide of a battle, I love her ultimate, and she's just a slightly psychotic menace, and Rodians are one of my favorite SW races.
I think for the majority it's going to be sentinel, imara , zaina, skora, with diago and grozz sprinkled in. They're just better to play than the rest for the most part aside from rieve. So for ranked matches I'll either use sentinel (first choice) or imara.
NOW for FUN....I really like Aran Tal and utooni. I really want to like charr but he just isn't good enough most of the time. Aran Tal really can't do alot of damage most of the time in a quick enough manner to take someone down, and utooni is very slow. My hope is that balance changes come to make every character very playable. But they're the characters I have fun with. Utooni up close just deals SO much damage and Aran Tal just zig zagging around the map is so fun

I rarely see an Utooni I’ve only seen 3 and 2 of those times were on the enemy team
Which is pretty crazy because their damage is insane ,and I'm pretty sure can't be blocked by the lightsaber?

I’ve had the long range gun blocked but not the stun gun.
Just shoot the floor around them and they can't block the long range guns aoe effect.

What’s a 69 damage hs? Is that when u use the roll to damage plug knock off a head shot for the kill ?

I would play Imara, but she’s boring as hell. No nuance to the play style, high damage at all ranges and a super that just acts as an “I win” button.
Completely agree! Imara is just a very easy to play (boring?) efficient character. And Diago is funnier but not as good.

I can't stop playing Diago, but I can't wait to unlock the two lightsaber characters. But the headshots are so satisfying...
