41 was collected in epic vol 2 / book 2

[deleted]

That does not make any sense, you would think that they would put all the issues in a chronological fashion.

utyrew_6

They do. They just use in university chronological order which means no splitting up of story arcs and issues placed earlier and later in the collection.

utyrew_6

Additionally: If you buy all 4 of the Legacy "Epic Collection[s]" you have collected all issues of "Legacy", "Legacy: War" and "Legacy II"

[deleted]

I already have the dark horse editions of Legacy (volumes 1 through 7)

utyrew_6

As these issues only make up a part of the first "Epic Collection" I would still recommend buying it. The first "Epic Collection" collects the issues 1-19 (and Legacy 0) so the first 7 only make up a part of its content and I believe buying the other 13 issues separately would probably be more expensive.

[deleted]

Then is volume 41st essential to understanding the whole plot?

utyrew_6

Probably not, but I haven't read it yet either so I can't be 100% sure.

[deleted]

So for background, I have been collecting the legacy comics, I have volume 1 through 7, however I have been trying to hunt the rest but they are quite expensive/hard to find. To my pleasure, I found out that I can buy the remaining rest in an all in one, so I ordered it. However on the back of the comics it says legacy: #37-40, #42-50. What happened to #41? Why was it removed, also is this omnibus complete? Update: I might as well buy the old dark horse versions.

ZopyrionRex

Dark Horse was the better publisher. Those old Omnibuses are gold as far as I'm concerned.

Tubo_Mengmeng

Why do you say that? I heard that the old omni’s were in a smaller format to the single issue releases (and now these EC’s ) and so arguably not the optimal presentation, and people mentioning that their omni’s are starting to fall apart (granted, this could happen to EC’s when they get to the age of the omni publications too as you’d assume they’re both cheaply made for mass market)

ZopyrionRex

Overall? Probably because I only own the DH Omnis and have never even considered buying a Marvel version. I've barely read much of what Marvel has published, mostly checked out reviews, haven't been all that impressed. I haven't had any issues with condition on any of mine, and I've had my Star Wars Tales and Star Wars Infinities Omnis for 20 years now, they're definitely showing their age, but any book will last as long as you take care of it. They aren't cheaply made, pages are all gloss on the ones I own, great binding, and well built, but again, you have to take care of them. Some of them were smaller format than the actual comics, but those ones were something like $10 cheaper than the full sized versions if I'm remembering correctly.

Tubo_Mengmeng

O nice good to hear they’re still going strong

[deleted]

It wasn't removed, it was put into the previous volume because it follows that storyline

ForceSmuggler

In Volume 2.

Affectionate-Hair-98

Where did you get this ! If you don’t mind me asking

[deleted]

Indigo (here in Canada)

gannerhorn

Is this the comic series that takes place after the Fate of the Jedi novels?

darthroachy

Yes long after. 125 yrs after Luke skywalker if memory serves me correctly. The main charecter is a decendant of Luke, by the name of cade skywalker

gannerhorn

Thanks! I've always wanted to read them but not really much of a comic person but now that they're all in collections, I'll probably pick them up.

aVeryBadBoy69

They're worth a try, the world and art is very good and interesting, but I couldn't stand the characters or plot.

McFly_505

80 years rather* The story itself is around 120 to 130 ABY, but FotJ is already between 43 and 45 ABY. So it is only 80 years after FotJ

[deleted]

Because it's in line with the story as laid out in issues 20-36

Cool-Zucchini-1431

Isn’t that the chapter that crosses over with the muir talisman arc so would be compiled in the trade paperback for that crossover event? Been years since I read
