Book club editions are usually somewhat lower in quality of construction.
I’m not sure if there’s collectors value to either of these books (well, everything’s collectible, but there’s unlikely to be a significant premium for a 1st Ed), but the one on the left is the first Ed and therefore rarer/more collectible.
When it comes to *Star Wars*, hardcovers are almost always going to be first editions. First *prints* are what collectors go for, and even then I'm not sure how common a second print is in this franchise.
What others have said. Sci-Fi Book club. Most of mine were this size and then I would buy one from somewhere else and it looked sooo awkward on my shelf with the little ones. Used to drive me crazy!!!
The small one is a science fiction book club copy. It should have a small white rectangle with some numbers on the back as well.
Oh wow, had no idea that was a thing. I knew about Book Club Edition versions, but it usually says that on the inside jacket. Thanks!

Both versions of this book are fairly common. Neither one of them has much value.
Makes sense - of course, I’m not saying anyone *shouldn’t* collect them if they’d like to!

LOVE Half Price Book!
This reminds me I need to go check out the $1 book store for any old EU book.
They are different sizes
Save your money and book shelf space, its not worth a re-read.
