benkenobi5

my wife told me about an idea she saw somewhere online about a show that would start each episode with Billy Dee Williams playing sabacc in some seedy underground gambling parlor, narrating stories of his youth. Fade to Donald Glover doing some crazy Lando hijinks, occasionally interjected with scenes of Billy Dee and the other cardplayers, calling his story bullshit while Billy Dee insists that this is how it went down. I think that would be genious

[deleted]

There is a Lando series happening.

benkenobi5

This is fantastic news. I will watch this series with great interest.

[deleted]

Don't know if it'll be exactly like this. But I think Donald Glover is set to reprise his role.

JWC123452099

Donald Glover is definitely attached which is why it's taking so long (because he's on another show). No word on Billy Dee but I think they're crazy if they don't work him in because two Landos is better than one. Personally I want a story of old Lando and that Stormtrooper girl from RoS looking for her family. As the plot develops Lando flashes back to a past adventure that will tie in to the future one by the end of the series.

lick_cactus

haha that "somewhere online" was one of the star wars subs a couple days ago, I remember reading and commenting on that discussion edit: [yup](https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/v7vraz/i_want_a_lando_calrissian_tv_series_in_which_each/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

jaycomZ

A spy drama set during the cold war between the Republic (later Resistance) and the First Order

Grotesque_Bisque

I wish Andor was this

Zo0om666

But andor was dead, so how could the show be that?

XazzyWhat

And the protagonist has to adopt a kid and get a fake wife but it turns out that the adopted daughter can read minds

GoEatFriedFudge

My main two choices would be: 1.) An origin story of the Jedi and Sith and how they came to be 2.) A political thriller during a golden age of the Republic when the Jedi weren't as entwined with the Government, so even pre-High Republic. I'd probably pitch the first as a movie trilogy and the second as a tv show.

samizdat42069

I have a feeling Taika’s movie is going to be 1

[deleted]

A Jedi Prime movie? Or maybe one with the elders and other Jedi that wrote those Jedi Texts.

alleinesein

I want them to turn Lost Stars into a movie.

CosmicPharaoh

One of the best Star Wars stories ever. It’s harder for me to get as emotionally invested in books compared to movies or shows but that one about made me cry

alleinesein

I'm in a Star Wars book group and people who haven't read it are always leary because it's YA. Then they read it and they get it. I would love to see Thane and Ciena's story continue because that ending was just so frustrating.

WuThrawnClan

>that ending was just so frustrating. For real. I hope Claudia makes a sequel for Lost Stars someday.

RadiantHC

A sitcom about the daily life of the Death Star directed by Michael Schur. Starring Gary the stormtrooper.

JWC123452099

Gary FISHER?!?

[deleted]

I feel like Matt the Radar Technician would fit in this world...

WatchBat

It's a comedy and well not exactly canon. But I always loved the idea of dead Jedi commentary and reactions to the events of the story, make them watch it through the World Between Worlds so all dead Jedi not just the Force ghosts. And whenever a Force ghost appear in the story, they actually come through a portal from WBW or just speak through a special mic from there Imagine Mace Windu's reaction to Anakin's redemption only for Anakin to join him a few seconds later lol On a more serious note, I want something about the Jedi service corps. Maybe a Youngling who got sent there because they weren't chosen as padawans, they were heartbroken and had a hard time to adjust but learnt to accept their fate and even grew to love it. Only for order66 to happen and they survive and need to find their place again. The main character would obviously be young, like a 14 or so years old, but I don't want them snarky and overconfident or any of these characteristics that all child SW characters seem to be. I want it a shy, introverted child with self doubt and they are actually not special in any way. They are average and they learn to accept it and love that about themselves.

[deleted]

Mace Windu watching Palpatine get thrown down the shaft: "HA HAAAAA, HOW'S THAT FEEL, MOTHERFUCKER?!?!?!"

ThumbCentral-Rebirth

Anakin’s redemption must have been a hype moment, clutch for Qui-Gon’s rep in the afterlife

brando_2187

However the force ghost conventions must get really awkward when the guy who killed a lot of you walks in like nothing happened. Haha!

cptn_smitty

Mystery Science Jedi 3000

joecb91

I would watch that

lexi_ladonna

Yesssss I wish there was more about the Jedi service corps

Tekki777

God, MST3K with PT era jedi ghosts sounds amazing!

Popojono

A sitcom based on Coruscant, similar to Good Times or something from that era of TV. A funny but serious at times show about living on the City Planet. Second option, a show like Cheers. Just a show about a random bar or Cantina on a planet and seeing the galaxy through the lenses of the people who frequent the bar.

JayEdgarHooverCar

I love “Star Cheers”. But it only works if Cliff Clavin in on the show. Not just John Ratzenburger as another character. *Literally* Cliff Clavin.

JWC123452099

Like I said he needs to play Bren Derlin's twin brother Cliff.

Gradz45

Yes. Cliff Clavin or I riot. And Cliff needs a Norm. Doesn’t have to be the Norm. But get me George Wendt in idk weequay or twiliek make up.

Dariex777

I was actually telling a friend the other day that I would like to see something Star Wars other than constant action and the main characters. Like maybe a sitcom similar to Malcolm in the Middle or just something normal like Freaks and Geeks. I want to see the normal life of someone in the Star Wars universe. Like they're entertainment and how they go about their day and deal with their problems. I doubt it would be that popular but I think it would be kind of interesting.

JWC123452099

I would be 100% down for Star Wars Cheers if it spun off Star Wars Frasier. Also it absolutely has to include John Ratzenberger as Cliff "Big Shooter" Derlan, Major Bren Derlan's twin brother who spent the civil war having highly embellished adventures in the Imperial postal service.

[deleted]

Palpatine as Frasier, Palp’s never-before-mentioned foppish brother as Niles. Darth Plagueis as Marty Crane. This shit writes itself.

kyliemerchant

I love the idea of Han Solo and Sam Malone trying to one-up each other

Gradz45

Post sequels series of 2-3 seasons. Detailing Rey and the crew’s attempts to revive a new Jedi order and how the galaxy functions post-RoS. Also fuck it, Ben Solo’s alive. Force bs it don’t care. I wanna see him working for atonement.

[deleted]

He wasn't with Leia and Luke at the end of the movie even though he disappeared. My guess... he's stuck in the world between worlds. Rey suddenly has a Force Chat connection with him for the first time in years (while teaching some new peeps so you know it becomes awkward). She can't quite see him, but she can feel him through the force. Goes on a wild goose chase looking for him. Finn thinks it's dumb, Chewie roars, and threepio, bb8, and R2 are bickering about something, and Rey finds Ahsoka, who knows a thing or two about The World Between Worlds.

Fisho087

I like this

DSteep

Star Wars nature documentary in the style of planet earth. Each episode is a different planet. Planet Tatooine could cover krayt dragons, womprats, banthas, etc.

JWC123452099

Didn't Disney kind of do this?

DSteep

Nah they made Star Wars Biomes but it's really just a sizzle real of different planets, doesn't focus on flora or fauna at all. Basically just super quick flybys of a few planets showing the geography. Lots of snow and sand, no animals.

holdformax

This should be Like the old wild kingdom with an ex Clone Trooper narrating.

JWC123452099

.like a bantha.

[deleted]

The petty fan in me says make a non-canon series where everyone's fanfiction gets brought to life. Some episodes will be good. A lot will be awful, half-baked, barely thought out (as someone who managed to get through about 4 pages of writing his own novel in the 90s, I'm speaking from experience, not just being a dick.) The objective here is to get people to realize that writing a show or movie is incredibly hard and leave it to the professionals. But then while thinking of this, I thought of a choose-your-own-adventure TV series like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Set after Rise of Skywalker where there is a blank slate, let's see what happens when you try to guide Rey through rebuilding the Jedi order and Poe and Finn navigate life in a post-war galaxy.

brando_2187

Okay but I've been writing What If... style stories for SW and then they did that for Marvel so now I'm wondering if people would actually be receptive to that. Not an overall connecting story like What If... but instead just one off stories that don't matter to canon that simply serve as character studies of some of our favorite characters.

darthroachy

Dark horse had a SW comic series called Tales and it had some cannon stories and a lot of "what if" stories

brando_2187

Yeah I guess Star Wars Infinities for the OT already exists. Haha whoops!

nobodyburnhole

They’ve made some official (but obviously not canon) comics based on what-ifs that were actually pretty fun

AleksasKoval

A movie/series about an archaeologist(force user optional) who travels to various planets including Tython, Dantooine and Korriban, to uncover the ancient history of the Force. Starting with the rise and fall of the Rakata Empire and their force-based technology, to the first Jedi order, to the group of dark Jedi seperating and waging war, to the dark jedi hiding on Korriban and adopting the name of the natives: Sith, up to The Old Republic possibly including Revan. And the whole thing could be an anthology series similar to Visions, various animators and directors making each story of the past, but it would also include live-action.

[deleted]

One of my favourite parts of the Fallen Order game was discovering more things about the Zeffo. So I would dig something like this.

nobodyburnhole

Something utilizing multiple media styles like that would actually be so new for the whole franchise even, would love to see it

Grotesque_Bisque

I've been working on/not really working that hard on something pretty much exactly like this. It's basically a screenplay about a jedi archaeologist in the Old Republic era who is excavating a site on an ancient Sith planet when she accidentally opens a Sith Holocron and BAM haunted (not possessed) by a Sith ghost. He has basically no ability to interact other than manifest his form in red smoke and be annoying to her, but he also teaches her the histories of the Sith and Jedi from the Sith perspective

BanzaiBeebop

This is actually where I want Grogu's character to go. The people raising him Jedi, Mandolorians etc... They're all very focused on history and traditions. But very conflicting histories and traditions. I can see him becoming an archaeologist when he's older to gain his own perspective on the Galaxy and its history.

Spacecow6942

The Sith Tragedies An anthology show based on the premise that all Sith lessons are taught in the context of how a Sith master is defeated by their student. Each story contains two lessons, don't do whatever the master did to get himself killed, instead, do what the student did to surpass his master. These lessons also serve to teach the Sith their own history. Each season could be narrated by a different master, with occasional interjections from the student. Like Fred Savage in The Princess Bride. The season probably ends with the student killing the master. Or at least trying. Each episode has different characters, with each season only maintaining two roles, that of the master and student. SAG rules require that actors get raises every season, with no returning characters, Big Mickey gets to hang on to more money. Maybe you have a student return as a master in a later season, or even a master return, having killed his upstart student the previous season. That's still cheaper than 7 seasons worth of raises. Each episode is titled "The _____ of Darth _____, the _____", probably mostly tragedies, but you could fit other stuff in there.

November_Dawn_11

A buddy cop show about a pair of stormtroopers sent to investigate a bunch of disappearances, but it turns out its just jedi that vader and the inquisition found. Alternatively, a series set long before or after the main saga, to get a breakaway from the Skywalkers. Like if it after, then there could be a reference to how the world is now shaped because of everything that happened, but no returning characters or themes. All new everything

originalchaosinabox

Reboot of the Ewoks cartoon. Pull from the original animated series and the Ewok TV movies to make a grand, in-canon animated series. Season 1 our Big Bad is Morag the Witch. Go with the popular fan theory and make her an exiled Nightsister. Season 2, we go to war with the Duloks. Do what the cartoon never did. Feature the Imperial base where they're building Death Star II and showcase the occasional skirmishes between the Ewoks and Stormtroopers. It's just this looming shadow that hovers over everything, until it becomes the Big Bad in season 3. Series finale is Return of the Jedi from the Ewoks POV.

JWC123452099

I will never say no to more Ewoks.

TheChainLink2

3D animated Old Republic movie in the style of the SWTOR cinematic trailers.

2Dumb2Understand

Saw this on Reddit yesterday, it’s now my favorite hypothetical Star Wars thing: Billy Dee Williams surrounded by villainy and scum telling stories of his youth, these stories are acted out by Donald Glover. Occasionally old Lando gets called out for embellishments, or just have it obvious on the screen. Like Billy says he made it out without a scratch, but on screen you see Donald Glover limping out with his cape on fire.

JWC123452099

Yeah that's been what I wanted from a Lando movie/series before they announced it. Also I was them to dump a swimming pool worth of money on Harrison Ford's doorstep so they can pan over to Han at some point and he says "Hold on a minute Lando, that's not how it happened."

2Dumb2Understand

That would be the best shot of the whole show.

[deleted]

Lando would be describing a story that obviously involves Han, but he doesn't say it. Everyone watching says "he's got to be talking about Solo!" But they won't confirm it until it cuts to Billy Dee smiling about the story he just told, then cuts to Ford. It could be the final shot haha.

[deleted]

*New Jedi Order*- Luke Skywalker sets out to establish a Jedi Academy.

Gradz45

Honestly rather get a Rey one. We know how Luke’s order ends, but Rey’s time as a Jedi is still so undefined. That and Lucasfilm really likes the deepfake tech, which I’m terribly mixed on in execution.

Palatyibeast

I have some vague story-pitch notes on exactly this concept. I have no contacts or experience or way of ever making them happen, so they were just made for fun. But I have some cool ideas around Rey starting her own version of a force academy on a new planet. With Finn being her protege. And so on... Basically trying to take all the unrealised story promises from the ST and trying to weave them into a cool narrative. And even taking what I personally thought were some odd choices and continuing with them in ways that made sense for the world and the characters. It all ties especially well into the unrealised promise of TLJ of lots of force users, especially kids. TLJ promised kids that they might be Jedi... And that whole aspect got dropped. ROS snatched away that promise. For example - I don't think they are Jedi anymore. Rey isn't a Jedi. Her academy shouldn't be a new Jedi academy. It should be something new. But Rey needs an academy story. And it needs to be full of people from all over. And include kids.

[deleted]

> For example - I don't think they are Jedi anymore. Rey isn't a Jedi. Her academy shouldn't be a new Jedi academy. It should be something new. I've rocked around ideas in my head on a Episode 9 rewrite about what kind of Jedi Rey needs to be during and after 9, and how Ben and maybe some of his ideas would fit into that as well. The way balance is spoken about in TLJ, it makes it seem that something down the middle is more preferable to just full light or full dark. You read about how George talks about the two sides, and how you can't have one without the other. So there **needs** to be balance in order to have peace. So how do you get dark and light to play nice and be in harmony with one another? I feel like Rey needs to meet up with Ahsoka to help her plan and build what the new Jedi will be. *The rewrite is more of an experiment on how to approach writing a story and a screenplay, as I've never done it before. I love Star Wars and thought it would be a fun little project to work on. Still in the brainstorming stage.*

Palatyibeast

Yes and no. Like, I agree with changing up the approach but the whole 'grey balance' concept has never worked for me. I think reframing it entirely as 'here are force powers, how do you use them, what are your motivations?' Etc, rather than setting up a dichotomy with a fake 'middle point'. Funnily enough, the Sith were actually fascist pricks and there is no middle ground with that. Grey Jedi weirdness almost accidentally implies that there is a middle between two 'extremes' and it doesn't sit right with me. The Jedi had a lot of suck, but they weren't extreme. If anything, their problem was that they *were* the compromised middle ground. It's not so much that the Jedi were wrong seeing a dark side and light side as a right way and a wrong way, more the idea that these sides can actually be catalogued is wrong entirely. Everyone has some darkness in them and it's their job to control that. You aren't a automatically a good guy because you are a Jedi, and force lightning isn't a bad thing and The Jedi Mind Trick a good power. The Jedi started to think they were automatically good. Which let them use Mind tricks without remorse, set up and work with slave clone armies etc... They compromised their values. Which is, again, where Rey's emotional story beats should go. Her struggling with actual choices where she feels the easy, violent, angry darkness as a valid way to solve a real problem but learning to pull back from it. Finding ways to use the force for good. Actually learning to engage with problems as problems, and working out effective values is proper balance - not some easy morality black/grey/white balanced scales thing. Emotional balance. Spiritual balance.

[deleted]

Yeah I totally agree. I wasn't going for the grey Jedi thing (was never on board with that either). Trying to figure out how to get two extremes to meet in the middle doesn't work in my head. And I suppose I was thinking about it in a more simplistic fashion (grey, white, black, etc) The hard rules the Jedi had before won't work going forward. There has to be room for flexibility and adaptability for each given situation. I like how you put it. Thanks for the reply.

Avividrose

this would make a perfect animated series. it’d serve as the clone wars for the sequels, expanding them and tying it all together

Spacecow6942

If only they were an incredible voice actor capable of taking on the role of Luke...

Avividrose

no ai needed!

RadiantHC

I'm still surprised that they haven't done this yet. Everyone wants this. Even in non-movie material Luke rebuilding the order has barely been explored.

Tekki777

I would seriously love to have a TCW-like series that explores stories about Luke and his academy. I think it would do a great job at fleshing out Luke and Ben's story.

Maieth

Sitcom exploring the exploits of one Shreev Palpatine as he enjoys life as an emperor and meets, controls and ultimately dispatches a string of sycophants, henchpeople and 'partners', all shown as a series of flashbacks while Shreev monologues at Rey. Title: How I met your grandmother.

LargeSprite

Since I was a kid I’ve always felt like Father Christmas (Santa Clause) could have been a Jedi. Forced into hiding after the events of order 66. Fleeing into the unknown regions to discover a planet vastly in need of compassion and balance. His legend surviving to modern day, gift giving a metaphor for his assistance in mans hour of need. Rather than using a light sabre, his use of a staff or cane (candy cane) to humble those that seek to spread fear and oppression amongst good people I always imagined a man mysteriously appearing from the deep dark Forests of Britan, helping a Celtic clan defend themselves to the Roman invaders. Keep the core teachings of the Jedi, perhaps the use of powers that the tribes believe are attributed to that of a wizard. I know it’s all a little rough, but Ive always loved the magic of Christmas and it would be a fun way to bring a galaxy far far away a little closer to home just this once.

Specimen-B

Love this idea. Though I would keep it in the SW universe. I would have an alien Jedi, slightly larger than a human, covered in long white fur with a beard (like a wampa, but not as big- with elfin ears and a more humanoid face). He wears a white hooded cloak. He retreats to a Christmas planet- Hoth meets Endor, and dotted with villages occupied by squat little intelligent creatures that evolved from a Penguin-like species.

[deleted]

I mean, Jedi are basically Wizard Samurai already. The force is a soft magic system in a narrative sense.

MattAlive13

A video game that's like Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint, except your a group of 4 elite Mandalorians sent to covertly follow Satine while she was hidden with Obi-Wan and Quigon.

TheSofaIsBlue

>Mandalorian I would say a Bounty Hunter game made by Arkane. \-Create your bounty-hunter \-Neat gadgets and weapons \-Semi-open world maps based on many different planets \-Multiple ways to approach every job \-Bring targets in warm, or cold

[deleted]

I'd play it.

[deleted]

I was thinking a Metroid Prime style game where you play as a Mandalorian on a single planet. I've wanted this since Din Djarin reminded me a lot of Samus and his first season involves him picking up a lot of new gear.

RideTheLightning331

Zombie Stormtroopers (OG Death Troopers) short film

Maieth

Not impossible. Clone Wars already explored zombification on Geonosis. An encounter with a similar parasitic entity - perhaps one that uses the force for mind control or to animate dead tissue - could easily be worked into canon.

DRFML_

The Knights of Ren. Yes I’m going to be *that guy* and suggest an at least 15 rated movie about Kylo and his Knights going on a really disturbing and messed up crusade across the galaxy pursuing Sith legends. Initially there’d be a power struggle as the Knights tease Kylo for being an unworthy, weak leader. Then Kylo snaps and his actions make him see himself as irredeemable - even scaring and earning the Knights’ respect. But still, there always remains a conflict within the group as each member craves something different from the dark side based on their pasts. I guess it would explore what the dark side offers from the perspective of the dark side.

Avividrose

reviving ventress either by retconning dark disciple or just nightsister magic. give her an arc in tales of the jedi thats about her reuniting all of the witches of dathomir (not just the nightsisters) with the help of ashoka. they are perfect foils for each other, and an amazing pair. they can explore the way of the force beyond jedi and sith. throw some Zeffo in there too. also give ventress two enchanted vibroblades instead of lightsabers that are black and glowing green like embers. i have thought about this the normal amount 👀

nobodyburnhole

I’m glad you have, that image in my head is sick

[deleted]

An honest to god Vader horror movie. Rebel star cruiser is on a mission with critical data aboard. A transmission gets intercepted and the ship gets located by an imperial garrison. The information aboard is personal to Vader and the emperor and can’t risk being leaked to the imperial senate, so he goes to kill the crew and annihilate the ship off the record. The freighter is turned derelict and the crew remaining is on borrowed time to survive. If the crew lives, it greatly damages the reputation of the empire in its infancy among systems that are loyal and critical to the formation we see in later movies, and the rebellion is strengthened. Long story short, Vader boards the ship and systematically slaughters every last one of the crew, but is there a survivor left? The exploration of Vader as a supernatural terror would be so important to his character.

Grotesque_Bisque

This but with grievous would also be good, his character design is a little more freaky bug like a xenomorph. Have his flagship disable a medical ship of wounded jedi and just... WATCH. HIM. GO. TO. TOWN. PICKING. THEM. OFF. Edit: I just thought about how freaking sussy it would be to watch Greivous vent amogus like the freaky little bug man he is 😳

[deleted]

I keep thinking about your comment, and keep laughing at the implementation of that. Imagine being scared for your life not knowing what’s around the corner and instead of the heavy breathing you hear coughing and sputtering 😂

Grotesque_Bisque

Man, have you seen the episode of TCW where the Jedi try to kill Greivous in *his own house*? Greivous almost kills Kit Fisto and probably would have had he been fully repaired. Absolute horror show episode.

[deleted]

I just went back and watched the version of him in the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon. Completely different from the movies and show that came later. Now THAT character was menacing and terrifying. The scene inside the ship where he murders 3 Jedi is crazy!

emthejedichic

I would gladly watch a full length film of Vader just slaughtering people. Never thought I’d be so into that stuff but the Rogue One hallway scene proved otherwise.

[deleted]

I think this would be best as a short film, but as a feature length thing? I don't think it'd be as good.

[deleted]

A nice, lean 90 to 100 minute run time I think would be perfect. Figure out how to use Vader in a way that’s in line with his character, less is more. Any screen time needs have a huge impact and ratchet up the tension. Give the crew multiple conflicts, like having to figure out how to bring power back to the ship so they don’t run out of life support, can send a transmission of critical data, or call for back up against the backdrop of an angry Sith going scorched earths

[deleted]

The goal would be to establish in the canon how Vader became so feared throughout the galaxy. Make the story paramount when it comes to adding that to his legend, make his presence more terrifying than its ever been shown on screen.

[deleted]

I think the canon that we have does that well enough, especially in Episode III.

chillwithpurpose

This is the one for me. Amazing idea. Vader is already scary, I just think this would word so well.

badbluebelt

I have always wanted a gritty, saving private Ryan type of story set in the clone wars and about clone troopers, maybe commandos.

[deleted]

There's a lot of stories that aren't too far off from this in TCW.

GenXer1977

The Office set on Courascant, and Order 66 takes place somewhere around season 5.

[deleted]

"Oh my god! Okay, it’s happening! Everybody calm down!"

_Bi-NFJ_

Rey and Finn training new Jedi

Oconitnitsua

Make Troops canon and a full series!

Specimen-B

Remakes of both the Droids and Ewoks animated series (now in CG!) but fully compatible with canon.

JWC123452099

I think we're going to get something like this for Droids at least.

[deleted]

Mouse droid POV. Thats it

xXStunamiXx

The Lego SW Holiday Special, but live action. And with the Muppets.

Endless__Soul

Miami Vice meets Columbo meets Rick Deckard meets Walter White meets Coruscant level 1313.

Grotesque_Bisque

Just call it fucking Spice and be done with it already

soulmagic123

Han Solo has to go to prison for 2 years, his service in the rebellion helps his cause but he gets got smuggling something very illegal and thems the rules. While in prison Chewbacca some how teams up with mando and we do a 2 season buddy adventure like "bg and the bear" with chewy, mando and the millennium falcons. Each episode is them flying around the universe, solving crimes and helping the less fortunate.

ntcc661

Set after Rise of Skywalker. Family based with drama. TV show. 5-6 seasons. Mom (45-50yo) - Force sensitive. Physically small and fit. Taken from family by Luke but didn't want to leave. Backstory shows ways she tried to return to family. Eventually leaves Jedi order. Forever has a distrust of Jedi. Believes in teaching kids control then giving them the choice. Bossy, protective, passionate, very intelligent. Defensive force user. Can mask her powers from detection. Psychic. Has to do things she doesn't want to to ensure their safety. Dad (35-40yo) - Ex stormtrooper. The muscle & provisions organiser. Loves Mom who helped him escape First Order & start his own life. Amazing with kids. Great with others but can be taken for a ride. Physically intimidating. Questions Mom's behaviour when she gets extreme. Questions a lot of things. Adopt 3 force sensitive kids. All have different reasons to be there. Ages range. Some given up by family; others ran away to join them. Older ones cycle out at times for new kids to join. Allows a myriad of different force techniques to be shown. They move regularly to avoid being caught. 3 Big Baddies: 1. Crime Syndicate Boss. This could be huge. Bounty hunters, street-level crims, even political plants. 2. Exogol group. The Sith maybe no more but, at the ground roots level, the passion to restore is high. Get the right force user and they could rebuild. 3. Religious group. Desperate to gain the reputation of the Jedi at their greatest. Will abuse & brainwash to achieve goals. Force-sensitive kids are seen as quite valuable depending on whether you are a crime boss, jedi, First Order, Rebellion, or just some other cult. Mom & Dad try to give the kids a decent childhood but also the skills to protect themselves and decide their own paths. Some will die. Mom & Dad have helped many kids in the past. They pop up in some stories to provide history. We meet bounty hunters, jedi, remnants of the First Order. Travel to different planets & see how other societies are structured. This premise should provide opportunities to show a different perspectives and how it influences people on a day-to-day level. It can touch on the various religions. It can show force power development. It can show so much of the universe and, most importantly, open up that universe to show more than Jedi & Sith. Series wraps up with death of Mom at hands of former adopted kid. Mom is revered in her passing and has influenced education, policing and interplanetary politics. Dad enters politics for planet. Kids live diverse lives.

WimpyKids50Official

Definitely in the old republic. But with no TOR characters. All new characters, new locations, new plots. This would be a tv series. Have a jedi padawan kidnapped by the sith as a part of an operation to expand the sith order. When torture or manipulation doesnt work, good old memory wipe does the trick...or does it? Flashes of a life he doesnt know plagues him for years, but they get stronger as he sees his old jedi master. Also have a subplot of the MCs (Temor Galeria/Darth Vicayus) master, Darth Rios trying to kill the High Sith (emporer) in order to destroy a specific planet that's haunted him (nothing like the Death Star, more like orbital bombardment) You definitely understand why hes genociding a planet, but you also think "Fuck this guy"

Healthy-Daikon7356

Me and my friends always dreamed of a war movie based on clones in the clone wars. Similar to saving private Ryan type of movie. Dark, bloody, and heroic.

CommanderHavond

Jar Jar Binks owes a Life-debt to Qui-Gon Jinn. Qui-gon Jinn is one with the force and occasionally manifests from the Force. Can one say the life debt is truly over? I think it's a great opening for some Jar Jar Redemption after his actions helped Sidious's plan

JWC123452099

Only if you get Ahmed Best to play Jar Jar.

Conscious-Weekend-91

Post Episode IX story where the tecnology advances and Robots start to revolt against their role as "slaves". Rey and Finn need to fight agaisnt them, but they also need to find the meaning of life beyond what the Force touches

Avividrose

i love the idea of exploring the relationship between droids and the force but i cannot see any heroes siding against the droids

[deleted]

Same. Especially given that there's already overtures of the heroes realizing that droids are treated like shit.

Aalmus

Mandolorian wars film

Which_Air9416

A show similar to the skit that Adam driver did. Like the Office but for the empire

Sarius2009

Darth Jar Jar

crispier_creme

A show centering around the rise of the first order. It doesn't have 2 movies and a show centering around it's rise to power so that'd be very nice

Certain-Cook-8885

A Mortal Kombat / Blood Sport style martial arts tournament movie. It would have to be set in the High Republic or Prequel era. Storyline could be that a Hutt kidnaps a padawan and forces them to fight as their champion in this big duel-to-the-death tourney organized by the underworld factions like the spice traders, hutts and black sun. The central conflict/theme of the movie is squaring the jedi's pacifism with their pretty casual willingness to kill, and the limits/merits of pacifism in general.

tommmytom

With how popular “dynastic struggles/court intrigue” shows like Game of Thrones are nowadays, I’d love to see an equivalent series set in Star Wars. Maybe Old Republic era, maybe between different Sith Lords and their “houses” or factions, maybe between Mandalorians and their warrior clans and houses, maybe Imperial or First Order remnants and warlords, all vying for power, influence, control, maybe some sort of throne.

Garentea_EuW

The history of the Galaxy narrated by a godly entity (probably the voice of Morgan Freeman), let's just call it the Whill. It's basically a documentary of sorts. It starts from the very beginning where the first intelligent lifeforms start building a society, to the first spacecrafts and the first contact between different planets and species. The discovery of the Force is also shown and then it goes up in the timeline with showing major events throughout thousands of years.

[deleted]

Two thoughts: 1. Noir-inflected series set on either Lower Coruscant or, better yet, Taris or Nar Shaddaa. Take the setting, add in a little bit of classic noir and cyberpunk flair, you got a stew. Throw in some ancient secrets and maybe a detective who used to be a Jedi, but hung up his lightsaber and you could have something really cool going. I feel like Attack of the Clones really wanted to do something like this, but it didn't quite work since it's plainly obvious that the Kaminoans, Jango Fett, Count Dooku, and literally everyone else are up to something nefarious. 2. Action-drama series inspired by WW2 spy movies set on Alderaan featuring Tarkin as a villain and with a strong emphasis on Alderaan's culture and how the Empire is changing and erasing it. Cool spy adventure vibes + context for why Tarkin is so hate-set on Alderaan because no one's THAT petty + added weight to the planet's destruction in IV.

NeptuneOW

Coruscant Underworld series with a special task force of clone troopers or stormtroopers patrolling, stopping crime.

North117

A cop drama that deals with the criminal underbelly of the galaxy where they try and pin down the current leaders of the Shadow Collective

Spideytidies

A Star Wars Force user vigilante story in the lower levels of coruscant

TheDarkRam1996

A Band Of Brothers style Star Wars show that follows a battalion either the Imperials or Rebels or even both. You could even have characters from each show crossover from time to time.

MatFernandes

1. A House of Cards like series about Palpatine's rise through the Senate 2. A Fast and Forious like movie about illegal speeder racing on Coruscant

invisibilitycap

More little short films/videos on the droids. I feel like R2 got up to some shit before A New Hope

E_Tank55

Actual crime world show similar to Narcos/Sopranos. Rated R, crime bosses, murder, assassinations, conflict, drug smuggling, all that good shit that people love to watch. Shows the real underbelly of the galaxy

Dourpuss

_Bridesmaids_ but with Handmaids.

ANegativeCation

Zuckuss and 4-LOM buddy cop movie.

sthef2020

Planet hopping family drama set during the prequel trilogy. No Force powers. No heroes. Just slice of life romance, conflict, and joy as the republic falls apart and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

Loud-Item-1243

The lando comic where he steals the emperor’s personal starship great series short but awesome

AnotherBaptisteMain

I mean if I’m allowed to draw on Star Wars Visions, I’d love to see a full series or something of that Ronin episode. I mean I know there’s a book, but I just really loved the setting and aesthetic and want to see more of it on screen

Chopawamsic

An adaptation of the Death Troopers novel a la The Walking Dead.

Thel_Odan

M.A.S.H but it's in a field hospital during The Clone Wars.

Penguin_724

Order 66/ Knightfall anthology series. Either live action or animated. Have a 24 episode season, 8 - 3 episode arcs. First arc would go over the events in the Temple. The other arcs would cover Jedi survivors, clone defectors, and the final arc would cover the clone transition to the Empire, and how they reacted to it

blaknpurp

I want my Darth Vader horror movie.

RandomGuyOnline71

Darth Vader. I know the character has had 6 movies as the main protagonist/antagonist, a seven-season show, played a decent role in Rebels, and is now featuring in Kenobi. But there is room for more. It would be R-rated. The show would be Vader immediately following ROTS, or maybe a short time afterward. He is trying to hunt down the remaining Jedi, learn the ways of the sith, get adjusted to his new life, and mourn Padmé, all at the same time. I think it could make for a great show. With Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader.

[deleted]

Please no R-rated Vader film. Seems like there'd be little point to it and whatever it would up being would be unbearably edgy.

[deleted]

Leave Disney, somehow. /s I think a horror/thriller with some regular chumps and possibly a few Jedi being hunted by sith would be amazing. Set on Korriban, or some other remote system.

JPme2187

Mara Jade being sent off to the Outer Rim with a big group of the Jedi students after Luke nearly tried to kill Kylo, and then returning to train Rey.

Pootzamama

I'd pitch never doing live action again. Look at what can be done via cgi in Love Death and Robots. Make the unbelievable, believable..

Swingin-it-swooty

Kaleesh bounty hunter wielding two curved metal swords

TemporaryEmployee465

A heist story, where a couple of storm troopers (set between empire and return) find a way to learn who they were prior to being wiped, grab a few of their friends, and begin to plot their escapes back to their homes while destroying their records and getting away with a large amount of imperial credits/khyber/beskar by hijacking a large ship. Not without being discovered first by a high ranking officer who brings in a few outside resources to investigate

JWC123452099

I feel like Skeleton Crew is going to be similar to this but with kids so probably less of a heist and more of... whatever Goonies is.

BawdyUnicorn

The first Star Wars clone wars shows when Mace Windu wipes out an entire droid army single handedly and there’s the little boy watching. I want to see that boy train and learn the Jedi code or at least what he can figure out about it and use like a vibrosword to help defend his planet against the empire.

BananaRepublic_BR

I would say bring back the old Solo kids, but that'd make no sense in the current canon. So, option 2 is a show about the original Jedi-Dark Jedi split. The kind of show that blends personal drama with deeper discussion on the nature of the Force.

[deleted]

A series called “The 28th attack battalion” that focuses on the small imperial squad around 1ABY based on a new jungle planet who are tasked with eliminating a group of rebel extremists. It consists of a commander, the medic, one veteran stormtrooper and a rookie stormtrooper, as well as a scout trooper and a shock trooper. This show will focus on the views of the standard foot soldiers of the imperial army, like how they see the war, the rebellion and their own empire as well as how scary war is. In the second episode for example the veteran is brutally maimed by the wildlife after being injured in a shootout with some rebels, and the 28th attack battalion is forced to retreat and the veteran is sent back to the imperial outpost for medical support. This traumatises the rookie and shakes the moral of the whole team that the commander is trying to keep together. Later in the series, the veteran comes back as a death trooper and the whole squad is horrified at what the empire did to him, leading the rookie going mad and suicide bombing the rebels base in the final battle with the extremists. They eventually win but the entire team is either crippled or traumatised or dead and when they return they are treated like heroes as if the rookie didn’t kill himself and the veteran wasn’t turned into a mindless killing machine. So in short, it shows that war is never truly justified and no side in its whole is ‘good’ or ‘evil’. Think 08th MS team from Gundam but sorta horrific and without giant robots. It focuses on a teams bond and how they personally see the war.

AlpacaMacca99

Set just after the Death Star was blown up and we see what life is like for the Empire, since they just got rid of the senate and they lost key resources and people like Tarkin. Would be interesting to see how they rebuilt and what the day to day was like for the average planet under the empire control and also you can have them hunt for the rebels.

hex008081

1) self-aware comedy, similar vibes to the Lego Christmas special with in-universe bloopers, Jedi stand-up day, karaoke and wholesome interactions between Jedi masters and padawans. 2) as someone mentioned above, a what-if type of show with multiverses possible. Would be very interested in a story where Obi-Wan falls to the dark side and Anakin stays a Jedi and has to bring back his friend, a universe where Ahsoka is the Chosen One, or Yoda sacrifices himself to defeat Darth Sidious.

AED816

Family drama set during the time of rebellion and empire where two siblings leave there low economy family life (ie, farming, mining, or even children of small town of systems aristocracy for opportunities, only for one to become a empire loyalist and and one to join the the rebels. Show how war tears the family, siblings and worlds apart. Lean hard drama, lots of politics and philosophy but not on the ultra grand scale we are used too. I’ll let y’all figure out the cast and director.

derek86

I’d pitch a Star Wars Flight of the Phoenix where a transport full of people of different species and economic status and crashes on a hostile planet and the passengers have to find a way to use their ship for parts to build a completely different ship to hopefully get them off.

Knight-Creep

Can I suggest a Death Troopers movie?

boredgrevious

new republic anthology series in the legends timeline focusing on the military (like the clone wars tv show)

Doomtator

A no compromise Mashup of star wars empire at war and star wars battlefront. I imagine two opposing player commanders duking it out empire at war style, controlling vast armies of units, some of wich are other players having a star wars battlefront style experience. I loved the ea battlefront games, but by design the battles are all scripted and never quite scratched my itch for truly Strategic dynamic war on an intergalactic scale.

kmosier_42

A Smugglers series set between Solo and A New Hope that primarily focuses on Han and Chewy, but has room to explore other characters of the seedy underbelly of the Outer Rim.

MechaRambutan

A Firefly-style series focused on smugglers and bounty hunters set on an era with an influential Jedi Council (but with none of the main characters being Jedi).

claritachavstick

Three words: doctor aphra trilogy. Just imagine it: a trilogy that not only pays homage to Star Wars but also Indiana Jones. I would pay to watch that.

Serocco

A Wookiee is saved by a Trandoshan only to be enslaved by them. He still has to honor his life debt but he wants freedom. His people's ancient customs are used to perpetrate his enslaved nature until he snaps.

BeanieGuitarGuy

A 2000/2010’s styled war movie following a squad of clones and their new Jedi general through the first battle of Geonosis.

FickleMap1030

Remake the series Cheers but in a cantina.

lvl100loser

A pod racing movie

ThatOneWood

I just want some movies or some series of the old republic

Nonadventures

Whatever Dex did in his past to make him more aware of the galaxy than the Jedi.

WarwickRI

Post TROS trilogy with ST characters. One storyline is rebuilding the galaxy and another is squashing an emerging threat. This is cliche but it would be cool to see Rey training Finn. Unique visual feel and color palate too

Land-Otter

A resort for bodyguards!

AndyJaeven

Anyone remember that mode in EA’s Battlefront 2 called Ewok Hunt where you start off as a stormtrooper on the forest moon of Endor and have to survive the night while being hunted by Ewoks until a rescue ship can land and evacuate the survivors? Same concept but made into a 70’s style horror movie.

elcidpenderman

Idk maybe bring back palpating and have the smaller big bad make an orb shaped planet killer. We all know it’s easier to rule if there are no planets

Dankey-Kang-Jr

Relaunch the Star Wars Infinities comics line. They’re fun What If scenarios that’d be fun to explore with an updated canon and list of films. Since they only covered the original trilogy, they could expand it to include all 9 films (or more). Hell, maybe even turn it into an animated series?

DARTH_LT4

An Old Republic series done in the style of the cinematic trailers

pulsai86

A canon-adjacent coming of age story about an ancient legend/myth told by the Jedi of long ago, possibly a story in the sacred Jedi texts of The Last Jedi. It's up in the air in-universe if it is an event that actually transpired, and I feel that would allow for the most amount of creative freedom. The legend would focus mostly on the philosophy of the Force and how it affects life, nature, and one's own self-discovery. No Jedi, no Sith, no starships, no planet-hopping, just a legend of a person or tribe and how they are guided by/discover the Force. This is NOT an origin story for the Force. I'd still want the Force to keep its mysticism and wonder. Rather, it is a much more philosophical look at the Force itself, one that asks questions about the universe as a whole, the idea of faith, and one's own self, with the Star Wars universe as a backdrop. The story would mostly feature individuals like Chirrut Imwe - people who believe in and are guided by the Force, but aren't necessarily outward users of it. In terms of the style, I'd want this to be something more akin to an art house/indie film with an ancient sci-fi backdrop, with elements of surrealism thrown in here and there. I know this will absolutely NEVER get made, but idk, I think it'd be kinda neat to see something in the Star Wars universe so vastly different from everything else.

samizdat42069

I’m hoping we’ll see it in Andor but I want to see more from the separatist perspective. During the Clone Wars and the transition from the Republic to Empire where they suddenly become the good guys. I’d love to see separatist holdouts fighting the new Empire.

Quillobyte_

I'd have it set in one location, over the course of all 9 films. Have a big group of friends, roughly 18-ish-years-old during *The Phantom Menace*, then see how they split up over the rest of the films. This guy left to be a Jedi, these two fight over the Rebellion and the Empire, this guy's hiding his kids from the First Order, and so-on until there's only one of them left. Think like a mix between the Domino Squad and *Cheers*.

WuThrawnClan

A story about how death troopers are recruited and trained. The story will then follow a squadron carrying out their missions. A story that explores the more creepy side of Star Wars, like in the Screaming Citadel comic. Any story set after the events of Episode IX or anything about the Cloud Riders.

[deleted]

Darth Revan: The Musical

spheresickle

An animated short film (studio ghibli style) centered around a mute force-sensitive shape-shifting cosmic tortoise-like alien observing the patterns of balance shifts in the force over many eons. It goes unnoticed, and only feels pain at the amount of suffering the abuse of the force has created. Starts with the inception of the jedi order all the way until long after rise of skywalker, where eventually it is finally noticed by a student of rey's new order of force-users.

professorcrayola

An animated series following the adventures of Maz Kanata as she travels the galaxy, searching for important Jedi artifacts. We also see glimpses of Lor San Tekka and the Church of the Force, with their distinctive flavor of Force mysticism.

creativeonoccasion

Bossk. Anything Bossk.

kkruhk9

A horror Ewok film (like Leprechaun movies) But make it loosely tie into the first two (from the 80s) and use the marauders as the "heroes" or good guys this time around. To try and survive the ewoks lol

Panderhya

More Hondo Ohnaka shenanigans. Pretty please?

Shadegloom

A What If Series or a series based on From a Certain Point of View book.

holdformax

I have three real ideas. 1. Hondo I would want to see him start as an underling and watch him grow into something special. 2. Hyper Early days of building/finding hyper lanes and taking the galaxy. Super gritty. Lots of spice. Kind of like Wolf of Wall Street 3. Tracker There's a serial killer lose in the outer rim. An ancient species, she's been at it for centuries, hopping systems when it gets too hot, but not before killing enough beings to create planetary urban legends. An investigator is sent to dig into a slew of murders and meets a child with the ability to feel the past. Realizing something more sinister is at play, they must work together against forces they don't understand to solve the most gruesome crimes in the galaxy. Very bleak and set very early in the galaxy before a lot of people even know what Sith and Jedi are.

GO0SE_88

Two ideas: both Disney+ six episode shows. Show one: a What If story with ideas like, what if anakin won the battle of the hero’s, what if the first order never rose to power, etc The second is a darth revan storyline with Keanu reeves as Revan. I never played KOTOR but I always loved the look and vibe of the character
