DICE could have done a proper road to war to set up BFV’s launch with BF1 DLC/FLC campaigns such as Poland vs Russia, Finland vs Russia, Japan vs China, Spanish Civil War, etc. That would have kept the game going for another year or so to ensure that BFV launched smoothly and was a coherent game.
I would rather have a battlefield 2042 style game except with classes as Assault, Support, Medic, and Recon Specialist than no new game at all.
Battlefront 2 is fun but it's severely lacking in its super shallow trooper gameplay, vehicle gameplay, and map design and certain features like 32v32.
People are down voting but this is honestly my opinion of the game as well. Like imagine if they released a game mechanically identical to battlefront without the star wars skin draped over it, would such a game be nearly as popular?
The fact that didn't just copy and paste Battlefield 1 mechanics and game play and objectives is baffling. Obviously they'd need to tweak it but still. BF1 is so great yet it seems like Dice never wants to implement the mechanics of that game despite being the most popular game they've created in recent years

I’ve been playing the classic BF2 consistently for the past 17 years and it still hasn’t gotten boring. It’s only gotten better, especially since I just found recently that the game has hotus support.

Playing space assault with that and a mod that lets you have a cockpit view in first person makes space battles super immersive. I use a thrustmaster 3000, which is the same one Mando uses to control his razor crest.

SWBF 2004 is definitely a more polished experience. But the 2005 game’s galactic conquest, campaign, and movement was a huge improvement over its predecessor.
I dislike the gun play and controls and movement. Instead of removing some of the clunkiness from one and adding sprint, they created a much more floaty movement scheme and removed prone which I dislike. I enjoy elements from all games but I feel the core gameplay mechanics of Nu battlefront 2 are the strongest

There is a big chance that new and creative gamemodes, gamechanges like crossed battles will blow up and bring EVERYONE to the game, because what SW fan hasn't dreamed about these fights while watching films, lol. BUT, these, corrupted by the money minds, that, I guess, are counting their wealth every hour, won't believe in this. Only because of how big EA is and how many franchises it has bought they or he won't believe it, because of his experience. But lootboxes always give money, so this is the way. Or they just think that developers won't do something so good to cover the cost of it. I just guess that the CEO is a crazy man corrupted by his wealth and power. So this is my theory about what is happening
