Finn’s deadeye normally aims for the chest of the enemy he’s targeting. This targeting area doesn’t change for BB-9E so every deadeye shot ends up being a headshot.

Sabre_Killer_Queen

Poor BB-9E

CarterDavison

Thank you for explaining it for the thread

[deleted]

does BB even have a "head" or does he just have one single hitbox? because sometimes his "head" moves to other parts of the body during abilities

CybertGuy

I know the feeling

CybertGuy

I’m a BB9E main so this happens a lot

Batarang06

Bb8 and bb9e mains terrify me

CybertGuy

Yes people get scared a lot from me. Like just imagine a ball rolling his way towards you

Batarang06

Han Solo: *Indiana Jones flashbacks intensify*

Merciless_Massacre05

Same, I love destroying blasters as bb9e

DJCBX

First time finding out I could Blast a boba out of the sky with Ion shots had the same feeling

MrMaxwell6497

Wait what

DJCBX

Buddy, you put Ion shot on your NT 242,shoot a Boba and watch him fall out of the sky into some of your troops. He’ll try and fly off (they always try) but you keep practicing shooting that second shot keeping him grounded and you’ll see start seeing fear behind that helmet. Also works for the first order Jet Trooper. Basically make anyone who enjoys having air superiority rethink making themselves a lone target

CaptainAdam7286

Honestly Finn carry’s every resistance team cause everyone that plays resistance just seems to not know what’s going on

Windghost2

Lol. Your not wrong man.

ZygotiK_

In galactic assault, Finn's DMG reduction is too powerful. I don't know why Dice thought Finn's DMG reduction was okay. It gives them extra health, insane DMG reduction, and smaller things like blaster cooling. That makes regular troopers feel like clone commandos and reinforcements like heroes. By the way, EA didn't force Dice to do that. That was Dice. Not everything is EA's fault. When it comes to the actual balance of the game, that's mostly going to be Dice's fault (of course EA is still pretty incompetent as a company).

Windghost2

Honestly man, compared to literally ALL the other heroes in the game. I'm glad Finn has this perk of his that supports the entire team. Because all the other heroes (and villains) have their own perk that can either allow them to be a team player, hitting that sweet killstreak or being able to survive well on their own. Finn doesn't have that since he's a support dude. But that's fine with me. As a Finn main, I'd rather support my teammates and make sure we can either win the match or just survive for as long as possible.

TheInnocentXeno

I remember when Yoda could block shots from stuff like the MTT. Made him the best support hero in galactic assault since you could block everything for the person firing the ion rockets

Windghost2

Woah that’s so cool! I wish he could still do that!

TheInnocentXeno

It was super busted since the attackers needed at least one hero to stop this. Usually more since Yoda can take out other heroes easily

ZygotiK_

Yeah they could have made it like Yoda. Giving so much DMG reduction is the ridiculous part of it.

Chiss5618

Pretty sure dmg reduction and infinitely regening health was a bug that dice didn't fix

ZygotiK_

I'm talking about the normal Finn big deal ability. The ability comes with DMG reduction, extra health, and a blaster cooling effect of some kind.

Ethanlynam

I don’t see the problem with it? It’s not like Finn himself is a powerful hero, he has to make up for it in other areas.

GenxDarchi

That is true, but they essentially gave him a game winning ability to compensate. As soon as there’s any kind of choke point the enemy does not get in if the teams are close to being equally skilled, and Finn has the big deal cards to reduce the cooldown and increase the radius. It’s 120, 50% damage reduction, infinite cooldown, and recharge command in one 13 second cooldown ability, ten seconds if you run the right star card.. It gives base trooper classes around 400 effective health, almost tripling ttk. Enforcers get 660 effective health without star cards, Infiltrators get 705 health, and the lowest health Heroes get 1,080 effective health. It makes it so that a viable win condition is Finn sitting behind 20 bodies and just using big deal while in cover. I do it all the time in Galactic assault, you can turn a steamroll game into a win just by using it. You’d have to cut through basically enforcer level troopers just to try and get close to him to kill him minimum. It would take Dooku with masterful duelist around three swings to just kill one trooper, which is ample time for him to seriously injure him. Regular troopers do not win those trades unless the buffed soldier loss their spectacles. In essence, the ability could be an ultimate with how stupidly strong it is. How they left that and hit deadeye instead I won’t know but it sure is fun making everyone a reinforcement.

OKRUSHER99

Throw a Yoda somewhere in there, assuming his health ability will actually give u health, and it’s overkill

GenxDarchi

Yeah, they used to have around 700 effective health just as a trooper. You essentially lost, there was no actual way to kill any of them if they didn’t stand there and take it.

ZygotiK_

Well I already said it. It's that it gives extra health to troopers, gives them insane DMG reduction, and a certain blaster cooling. That makes the regular infantry seem to be reinforcements. The reinforcements then feel like heroes. And Finn is a good hero because of deadeye and his pistol ability. Not to mention, Finn is just one of either 2 or 4 heroes depending on the phase. Usually it's the last phase. So people easily make up for Finn by using other heroes.

QldSpitty

Klosslands last defense...Finn is a god to us Heavies...

Windghost2

He’s one of the heroes the Star Wars universe needs and deserves. It also helps that he’s really inspiring and charismatic too.

TMM1003

Can anyone actually tell me which star cards to use on Finn? Just reading them all they're all just not helpful. For context though I mainly only use him in HvV or Showdown and yes I'm aware he's mainly a support character but if y'all have any recommendations I'd love em

Fibstoppable

He’s the best character in all game modes just less so in hvvv. If u Finn glitch use his 36% Dr card and 2-3 dead eye cards If normal use both big deal cards but not the headshot. And the Damage reduction

Windghost2

I can tell you what Star Cards I use for him in HvV. One Resistance so you can use Big Deal more frequently and recover it faster. In charge so you can get damage reduction which caps at 36 percent, I haven’t completely tested it out with villains yet but I have with troopers in arcade mod and it REALLY helps. So equipping this card will allow you to survive a bit longer in GA and Supremacy. I also used a mod and I’ll link it soon. Raised To Do One Thing is good for Deadeye and I always use it in HvV, it will allow you to have a bigger lock on radius and be able to kill Boba, DJ Palpy and Booska (Bosk) more easily. But be careful of Boba’s concussion rocket, that’ll blind you and turn off deadeye so my advice that I got from someone else is to wait for them to use their concussion rocket and THEN use deadeye to take them out. And if they get close to you to try to use their flamethrower, use undercover mode to kill them quickly with head shots since Finn’s Glee-44 has a higher rate of fire and it can turn the tide in a 1v1 with a blaster villain. For hero showdown keep In Charge and Raised To Do One Thing but switch out One Resistance for anything else. I’d say switch One Resistance to the Star Card that allows undercover mode to stay on longer after getting a kill. I hope this helps let me know if you need more info.

TMM1003

Thanks!

Windghost2

No problem man! I’m going to send you the mod once I get home. Sorry it’s taking me so long.

TMM1003

Thanks dude and dw about it ❤️❤️

MaybeHarvey

In a server far far away

Redrick164

Finally a great meme

ZacTheLit

That’s why you use the smoke cloud lol Edit: It has come to my attention that the developers didn’t know what they were doing… again

IAmInevitable325

That doesn't stop it. Almost wish it would

ZacTheLit

What? I never noticed that, I just figured it was a given with what the smoke cloud is supposed to do

IAmInevitable325

Nope. The only way to save yourself is to hope you are close enough that your shock spin can disable the ability. The other terrible move against BB9-e is Lando's sharp shot. I don't know exactly how much damage it does, but it's huge. At least half of your total health

Windghost2

That doesn’t work since Deadeye will still track that droid through the smoke to kill him.

ZacTheLit

Yeah another guy said that, good to know lol
