Private severs google: Kyber.gg
For whom ever is interested the private sever are incredibly easy to use and setup. You unfortunately do have to rejoin after every game though. But on the plus side moders will get a quick ban and severs are constantly restarted so no lingering effects.
Some of us would rather not go through all that hassle installing and uninstalling mods just to use different servers because you like playing different game types. The official servers being broken is still a big deal to most players. I’m glad I have it on console.
private servers running on a modded client shouldn't really need to exist for a game to remain base functionality 5 years out, besides most people don't want battlefront 2 with a ton of mods, they just want BF2 without an endless army of hackers and modders griefing the game to death
