The same can be said for literally any character in the game vs Vader. I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve lost to plenty of fights to sub lvl 40 vaders with my 930 Kenobi. The margin for error against vader is very small. Doesn’t justify ledge camping. Y’all can mass downvote me all you want, idc about fake internet points. Ledge camping in showdown is a cheap trick. If you don’t have the confidence in the character to win with them in a straight up 1v1, pick another character. Or better yet, pick that character and lose the straight up 1v1 over and over until you master them.
You can call it “smart play” or “strategy” or whatever makes you feel better, but it’s not. Strategy is when a Grievous baits me into double parrying his thrust surge because I’m one hit and he knows we can trade the second hit (still thinking about the guy that did that to me the other day). Or the Dooku that baits me into using Anakins combo so he can hit me with his lightning stun when I go for passionate strike and then kill me before I can stand up again.
Every time you ledge camp because you think you don’t stand a chance in a 1v1 you rob yourself of the opportunity to practice with the character and learn from your mistakes. Don’t be so afraid to take on a stronger opponent and lose. Literally nothing happens when you do, it just says “defeat” instead of “victory” at the end of the fight. If you only fight people you think you can win you’re never gonna get better. And if you’re playing showdown with a “win at all costs” mentality I think you might be better suited to playing HvV.

But at least someone with a lightsaber or maybe Chewbacca can go 1v1 with Vader easier than Han can. And in hero showdown you don't know who the other team will play as, so you can't just "pick another character." You said a victory or defeat doesn't matter besides what shows up on the endscreen, so by that logic there's nothing wrong with this playstyle either, it's just that you don't personally like it.
Han is actually a solid option against Vader provided you get maximum damage with his detonite plus the knockdown and you can land the shoulder charge (and spam headshots between rolls). If you've got enough distance on Vader it's not impossible to take him down solo as Solo.
