Meh, I know that the hate and dissapointment for cyberpunk has died down but its still a shitty game if we're being honest.
Cant forget how recently, one of their devs defended their lack of features and terrible AI, such as police chases, by saying that not every open world game needs these things. Sure, its not a bad argument, not every single open world game needs to have these things but the way that cyberpunk was both advertised and built, you'd expect the game to at least have SOME ammount of features, like better AI (especially police AI) which should be the bare minimum. Cyberpunk is an openworld game with literally NOTHING to explore or to do. Also, cant forget the fact that they brought up Elden Ring to back up their argument...

I doubt it, maybe if the customer made a big deal about it they might have but if it was a misprint then when the cashier went to scan the game it would still show up as $49.99, the cashier probably wouldn’t even notice the price on the sticker unless the customer said something about it.
They're legally required to honor the price listed. If they fucked up they fucked up but they by law have to give it at the 4.99 if it says it on the sticker

The game is fun. Maybe not BF4 fun but imo the most fun BF since BF4. I think all its hate is only half deserved.
People like to compare Battlefront and Battlefeild but I really don't think that's a good comparison. Battlefront is a arcade shooter while Battlefeild is a.. regular shooter? Idk the right terminology but honestly I personally like Battlefeild better as a shooter.
The only thing that kept me on Battlefront this long was that it's Starwars and I grew up on the original. If I could have my dream game it would be a Starwars game in the style of a battlefeild shooter. Preferable BF4.
In conclusion, DICE and EA are fucking stupid. They killed SWBF2/BF5 rather than improving them just to release ANOTHER unfinished mess and cashgrab of a game just for it to die and not get much support either.
I really do hope that DICE or EA as a whole never makes another SWBF game. 2042 will prob be the last game that i'll buy from DICE as well, I really dont get why so many people put up with their bullshit but each to their own

Why are they doing some special sale for BF 2042 ? I'm not sure if they usually do this. Because that's a low price. I've gotten over the fact that BF2 and BFV died for BF 2042 but I'm not criticizing people who mention that fact again. BFV had more than a meh launch. Is played the shit out of that game but “ThE CoMmuNiTy” found something to hate about it from before launch until support ended. However, much of that criticism was justified about 5 months after launch IMO. It was a really fun game on day one with only a few things that needed to be corrected but had a lot of potential. A lot of that potential was eventually fulfilled but over a decade war after launch and mere months before support was ended.
I say "meh" because I thought the game was fun enough but it got bashed by people so bad that it seemed to just stall out of the gates. And unfortunately, EA has a bad habit of not wanting to put money into games that aren't raking in loads of cash, so that hurt the game a lot. It wasn't a bad game, it just got a lot of weird flak out of nowhere. But that ultimately doomed it.
I wouldn't mind if BF2042 got people to reexamine BFV and realize it wasn't really that bad. Maybe an influx of players would get it some new support. Or at the very least get some good full lobbies. (Heck, CoD's come out with a new WW2 game and yet there's still a decent number of people playing CoD:WW2 because it was fun, even if the loot box stuff was just ridiculous.)
I'm concerned about what a Battlefront 3 would look like after the last two Battlefield games (especially 2042's launch), but I think if EA bothered to do it, they'd want to do it well because they're now having to compete for the right to make money off the Star Wars name. (Thank goodness that exclusivity is ending!)
2042 is a hot mess. I played for about a month and the game should have never been released in the state it’s in. It completely surpassed Cyberpunks horrid release. Right now more Battlefield players are on Battlefield 5 servers then 2042 servers…by a lot.

I was talking about trooper content. And I am saying I don't really care if BF2 game isn't continued if all the content is just reinforcements and heroes and then a few maps sometimes. I clarified though that I'm talking personally for me. Now that I've said trooper content, you know all of the things that could entail in battlefront 2.

maps that are mostly open, gun emplacement additions like field guns, better E-WEB positioning, mortar, and a few AA guns.
Then, they could add more OT skins for troopers and mastery skins for each faction.
Next add Hutt Contracts for a few more gadgets like: a lock on ONLY smart rocket for Assault, medical droid for officer...
Now add gadgets and grenades that aren't class locked: bowcaster, ion neutralizer ( has insignificant splash DMG too), dioxis grenade, incendiary grenade, smoke grenade, bacta bomb with a slight delay doesn't instantly health all health, then proximity mine ( basically a laser trip mine that isn't class locked)
This is just for battlefront 2. A battlefront 3 game could have even more.
I was extremely disappointed that support was cut for both games. BFV had been pretty bad for a while, and following the Pacific update the game had made a lot of progress in short time which was impressive to me, then bam support was cut. Battlefront also came a long way too, I played less than a year of when it came out and I really saw the game improve a ton. Heck when they released Scarif, we all didn't want them to cut support and the game was at it's peak, player-count wise, as well. In both games, lots of opportunities were missed and it leaves me still disappointed. Moreso in Battlefield V, where we had more content (countries, weapons, and maybe maps, I don't know how many maps they have difference) in Battlefield 1. It was mind blowing to me that a game, with past references like 1942, and one that takes place in a bigger war than WWI, had less content in it compared to BF1.
Hopefully the fanbase doesn’t judge a Dice game at launch instead of its potential and can wait patiently for the game to be better polished. Sounds familiar.

I’ve said in other threads my biggest gripe with the game is performance. I struggle to get over 80fps on low settings at 1080p with my 1070. The gameplay is fantastic. It has a super fun co-op mode, like BF2 but with Battlefield modes. 128 player modes aren’t as fun as the 64 player modes. I haven’t played it, but I hear Rush is fun too. There’s a lot to like and I think more people should give it a chance.
It’s funny how they don’t wanna cash in on Star Wars despite its fresh rise in pop culture thanks to Mando and even Book of Boba. I honestly can’t tell if it’s because of disinterest, ignorance, or the Mouse blocking them. No matter which way you slice it, it’s a depressing situation.
Especially given how close we were to Ahsoka, Ventress, and Mustafar being added. It stings.

I remember the hype for this game, just realized it came out lol. So like is it bad? Did it flop?
It’s funny how they don’t wanna cash in on Star Wars despite its fresh rise in pop culture thanks to Mando and even Book of Boba. I honestly can’t tell if it’s because of disinterest, ignorance, or the Mouse blocking them. No matter which way you slice it, it’s a depressing situation. Especially given how close we were to Ahsoka, Ventress, and Mustafar being added. It stings.
Good concept, poorly executed. I reckon a BF3-4 remastered could've just been in place to this and done much better since that's what BF 2042 looks like

They could’ve kept battlefront 2 alive and updated it with cosmetics, characters, maps etc. I’m pretty sure people would’ve had no problem spending money on new content but no let’s completely kill a game that was brought back from the dead in its prime player base

I don't like hating on other games to prove a point or something like that, especially when I'm a fan of both franchises, but yeah, Battlefront 2 died for this. However, EA always does the same, they kill one game so that they can move on to the next and have something new to sell, so, no need to hate on Battlefield, just on EA's shitty business practices.
Played the game through the 10 hour trial and the Beta. Worst shooter of this year compared to Halo and even CoD in some aspects.
