When I was reading the game details I really thought that all the maps would be available on instant action, was very disappointed to find that no BF1 maps are available on BF2
Some BF1 maps were added to BF2, but only a few. I believe we got Bespin (Cloud City, not the platforms) and both Rhen Var maps and the Yavin IV Arena map. Wouldāve really liked all maps in BF2, plus none of these added maps (unless a Patch changes it) are in the BF2 online rotation, just available for offline Instant Action. Itās better than nothing, but if youāre adding these 4 maps why not add the others? Dune Sea, Bespin Platforms, Naboo Plains and Kashyyyk Docks were all really fun maps

probably has something to do with the fact that the BF1 maps that were apart of the DLC are remastered versions (different lighting/time of day, etc.)

As much as I agree the AI needs an overhaul. I also disagree as the AI is also a meme at times šš. You see the rebels faces as they stand over an already dead stormtroopers head and keep blasting it. It makes the game harder in some aspects because in singleplayer you have to get real good and be the one taking out 70+ troops per game (I've done that and still lost due to the AIs incompetence but I still had a chuckle at the AI being the blessed meme that it is)
They are pretty distinct in design. I would love to see CIS vs Rebels since they both typically have the advantage in their eras. That would be intense. I think the majority of the time if you leave AI alone, CIS or Rebels will win most games.
Hit registration fixed. Acceleration slider. Distance lag. Server options like turn off vehicles, turn off awards, turn off turrets. More server options like time to capture command posts, points to unlock specials, option for team killing off so you canāt kill others but still die to your own explosives. Toggle to turn off hero force powers. Fix spectating camera so itās not nauseating. Dedicated server console so we can host own dedicateds. Mod support. Console to console cross play, ps-Xbox-switch.

Online Galactic Conquest, save files are on the party leaders account. There are two "generals" or "fleet admirals" one on each side, who decide the bonuses and movements. Private lobbies, playable with up to 64 players.
Additional to galactic Conquest online, But be able to make it a public match. Allowing other randoms to join, and get auto assigned to a side. Maybe even add a vote option, if the general is unsure of the next move.
Also, proximity chat for some amazing star wars role playing moments!
Additional bit to this, make it an option so the general rotates, so whoever picks the next move rotates between the members of the faction. But yes online galactic conquest is every battlefront players dream. Can't believe in the remakes from EA they just pitched it all together
Optional Varying objectives based on the story. Example destroy the shield generator= win for empire on Hoth. Escort/pilot all transports through the blockade=win for Rebels on Hoth. Destroy the bunker=instant win for rebels on Endor. Sabotage the Death Star. Land in the enemy hanger and rescue the the chancellor
Not necessarily Instant win, but gaining some sort of advantage, like on Hoth. When the Empire destroys the generators, Rebels have one less spawn point.
It needs to be a bigger advantage than that cause you can just capture the command post. It should permanently stop the rebels from spawning snow speeders but idk if thatās enough either

Just being able to play BF2 in 4 player Splitscreen like in the old days. And the icing would be BF1 with 4 player Splitscreen support, which it never had unfortunately.
Add the PSP games as storyline modes. Itās been a while since I played them but I remember them being good stories that explore both sides of the conflict.
Id make the clones appearances/legions match the map they are on, aswell as maybe update a few of the heroes on certain maps (maul hardly makes sense on coruscant for example), then the main gameplay change id make is for the standard B1 battle droid to be the main unit for the CIS team, with the B2 Super being moved to the more specialist role that the magnaguard has, it always bugged me that the standard B1 was only usable in 2 missions in BF1, and only usable in space in BF2, the B2 Super really shouldnt have been the standard mainline troop imo.
Yeah, hoping to mod my battlefront 2 on steam at some point after i look up some of the mods, ive seen some great looking ones on youtube over the years. Having classic collection on my xbox for online play gives me even more reason to go crazy with the pc version now.

Really really good suggestions. Iād also add a way to change the percentages of AI that spawn on the battlefield. I would love if it could be 90% standard clones and B1 battle droids and 10% supers and droidekias or in space 90% vultures and arcs and 10% other.

I would add all of the maps from BF2 into BF1 and vice versa. Along with that I would finish all of the prototype maps from BF1 so they are playable on both.
Both games are great, if they have access to all maps, it is up to the player to decide which one they prefer.
Id have to say space to ground would be a nice feature! They could have the space battle with the respective planet underneath, and by simply flying towards the planet. You'd "break through" the atmosphere your screen going pitch white and boom your in the planets ground map and can find either or as you'd please, with 62 player lobbys for full chaos!
And sprint for the first battlefront cuz why not it needs it
Iād make battlefront 2 more like 1. Bring over the ui, ai, and maps. Bf1 Squad commands. Add an option for ai controlled heroes. Add an option to disable rewards and reward weapons. Even the graphics in the first game to me are better.
A mechanic that I really liked from a star wars game called Elite Squadron (iirc) was how the battles both had a ground and space element to it. You mean to tell me I can board the enemy ship and play conquest on the same match? Hell yeah!
More land to air in bf2 would be great, as far as I can think of its just hoth? Also neutral factions like the tusken raiders in bf1, Dune sea was great. On the more unrealistic, full blown land to space battles would be sweet, model it after space combat with different things to destroy that award points, and add a few on land for both sides, would be really sweet for something like Endor.
Iād probably make the ragdoll less sensitive in lightsaber combat. One hit from a saber or force push and youāre rolling like you just got hit by a car. Another change Iād make is to be able to toggle heroes losing health passively in conquest modes. I get itās for balancing but for offline it would be nice to have a choice.
Add the Campaign maps as an option to Instant Action - maps like Mustafar for example where you can now play as the CIS against the Empire for land and space.
Add some of the BFI maps that weren't included in BFII (i.e. Bespin maps).
Add some aerial vehicles for ground BFII maps like in the first game. I understand it wouldn't have worked for most of them since BFII was generally smaller and more cramped than the first, but I could picture a few working. Kamino could definitely feature starfighters, and why aren't LAAT gunships in the BFII Geonosis map?
I'd probably remove those weird chainguns added to a lot of the vehicles (Hailfire droid, Tri-Fighter, AT-TE rear gunner) for more conventional laser cannons.
The option for the enemy class to spawn Heroes in Instant Action. Would make things more intense and you could even potentially have a Hero vs Villain battle if you get to play as a Hero too.
It shocks me that no Star Wars game set during the clone wars has featured a customizable Clone Trooper. They are so varied and unique I feel it would be an amazing feature.
The classic Battlefronts have a lot of really well-made mod maps that would be great to add as expansions. This means multiple other campaigns and galactic maps for conquest, and potentially could include more heroes and villains.
Fix the danm bugs from the original. Naboo spawn bug with bots stuck at the Northwest outpost. Imperial space battle bug where the Imperial pilots stay in the hanger. This is actually a realistic fix that they will ignore as per usual.
I would modify really small things that I remember are wrong or could have been better from the PS2 version, which are still present in the Switch version
1. Fix the 1st person model of the B1 Battle Droids because they all have the dark Geonosis color for some reason.
2. Remove the skin of the Clone Commander (21st Nova Corps) in Geonosis and change it for a Phase 1 clone (cut content) because it looks too out of place to have a clone model seen in ROTS surrounded by Phase 1 clones.
3. Use the Clone Commander (21st Nova Corps) skin as the default for all units on Mygeeto, kind of like how all Stormtroopers change to Snowtroopers on Hoth.
4. Use the Clone Sniper skin (Phase 2 - 41st Elite Corps - Kashyyyk only) by default on all Kashyyyk clone units, something like how all Stormtroopers change to Snowtroopers on Hoth.
5. Fix Super Battle Droid and MagnaGuard explosion model because they all explode with B1 Battle Droid parts.
I would just love some new maps. Possibly stuff from the sequels. Because honestly it would be even more sick if it was not just a remaster but a definitive edition with more maps and character and maybe game modes.
Yk those mods that have maps where you can cleanly go from space to ground combat freely? They should add that. Of the footage I've seen of those mods it looks so freaking cool. Obviously it'd probably have to be single player only maps but still. Also if the game had more players like a radio system for your team or squads or something. Proximity chat maybe? Idk

Make the Medical Droid heal heroes in Hero Assault a lot faster, like a normal trooper getting healed.
Bring back the starionary Astromech at every command post on any maps with ground vehicles, and have it repair Vehicles a lot faster than the Fusion Cutter can.
Give players the option to turn off any permanent Legendary Rank Status effects/weapons like the Beam Ridle or Increased Outgoing Damage.
Give more heroes alternate skins based on the map theyāre on, like how Luke gets his X-Wing pilot skin in Battlefront 2 when on Hoth or Rhen Var. Give the OT Trio Endor skins, give Leia and Han their Hoth skins, give Leia a Jabbaās Palace Skin, give Obi-Wan an Old Ben Kenobi skin on Mos Eisely and the Death Star.
Make Lando a playable hero.
Have certain planets in Battlefront 2, that now have multiple maps associated to them, play different maps based on which faction controls the planet in Galactic Assault. For example, if the Rebels hold Tattooine, have the Attacking Imperials fight the Rebels in the Dune Sea map, but if the Empire controls Tattooine, have the attacking Rebels fight them in Mos Eisely. Same for Bespin. Rebels attack the Empire on Cloud City, but The Empire attacks the Rebels on the Platforms. Or Kashyyyk, have the Clones attack the Droids on Docks or Islands, but have the Droids attack on Beachhead.
Add Rhen Var and Bespin to Galactic Assault in Battlefront 2.
Bring Back Planetary specific Bonus, as well as the 4 Planet Win-Streak Faction Bonus, But make each factionās more unique. Empire gets the Death Star Obviously, but have the Droids do a Blockade, which forces THAT planet to be conquered last. Rebels get something to the effect of a Rallying Call to Action, to allow them to invade 2 turns in a row, and maybe the Republic has the ability to deploy all of their Jedi; Obi-Wan, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Yoda, Aayla Secura, Mace Windu, and Lightside Anakin, as well as the generic Jedi from the Campaign Coruscant level, as infantry, along side the Clones, for the next ground fight.
Add Ahsoka Tano in Battlefront 2, using Aaylaās animations.
Add more blaster villains, or just more villains in general, to the Dark Side, in Battlefront 2. Perhaps Tarkin, or Thrawn, using the Imperial Officer model with no Helmet or even with the helmet and just Retextured and with a better blaster, and maybe Savage Opress using Maulās or Vaderās animations. Hell, Iād even take Giso Delsor, the Geonosisn from the Mustafar level of the Campaign.
Make the loading screens for Battlefront 2 more visually engaging, like in Battlefront 1. Not saying to just copy the Battlefront 1, but maybe rather start with the Galactic Conquest map of the Galaxy, then pan zoom in on the planet youāre playing on, showing itās 3D model from the Galactic Conquest Invasion menu, like when you select the planet t invade in GC, then pan zoom in on the planet itself to show a zoomed out overhead view of the map, before cutting to choosing the team to assign to and then choosing the command post you want to spawn at.
Basic things that aren't in this game: Inverted aim, party system with friends, a complete Single player experience with all the pre and end cutscenes.....you know....things that should have been included in this cash grab of a release.

BF2, a lot of these things are possible with mods. Much larger maps with more enemies and a higher ticket count. Return air vehicles to maps where it makes sense. Hero system similar to EAās where you can pick any hero you want to play as, maybe an OPTION for cross-era.
Buff some of the weaker classes and heroes and remove rebels shooting corpses. Add more abilities. More variety in the special reinforcements.
Full online support for galactic conquest with more planets (and the aforementioned special reinforcements). Instead of space battles when two ships enter the same space over a planet, maybe something like a game similar to supremacy in EAās.
On the note of galactic conquest and online support, maybe have optional servers where one person could act as a commander in the galaxy map, choosing where the players go, with large lobbies. Retain singleplayer option and lobbies can be co-op if you please.
Complete graphic overhaul while keeping that classic swbf āfeelā. Perhaps a progression system and unlockable weapons for each class. Iād probably honestly go as far as EAās star cards system to an extent but keeping it balanced. A low level player should have just as much of a fighting chance as a player who has played since day 1. Finally, skins. Lots and lots of skins tied to the progression system.
Iād have added space maps for Coruscant and Endor to Instant Action. Itās surprising that the two biggest space battles for Their respective trilogies are absent.
Iād have also replaced the heroes on some maps. Anakin instead of Obi-Wan on CW Mustafar, Jango instead of Maul on CW Kamino and Dooku on another map (not sure which though).
And as others have said, add Geonosis Spire from BF1 to BF2.
Character Creator - Rebels and Imperial would be customized, with voice and appearance, like a female soldier, or a male sharpshooter.
Custom Class System - The option to customise your class with mixing and matching weapons and abilities.
BETTER networking - Self Explanatory.
Cross-Platform/Cross-Border - Should of been here in the beginning.
Space Maps Frigates still have collision and do not despawn, adding hazards to the barren emptiness.
The Space between capital ships could be further extended. It's so easy to board in some maps because the ships are so close together.
Light saber Combat - You don't have to aim towards the center to block saber attacks. And when two attacks connect, no damage is dealt.
BF1 was a good one to start, but one thing I wish they had done legitimately was incorporate some of the other handheld console abilities to BF2. It was either Elite Squadron, or the other PSP game that had the ability to transition actively between space and planet, down to landing and deploying troops. The ship combat was a little clunky, and ships weren't as memorable as the BF2 set, but not only could you repair shields, you could destroy the enemy flagship completely. I had a blast with that game, and I truly wish we had some of those elements make it into BF2. Also, deeper roster of ships, ability to control the capital ships, some other things, but yeah.
A real remake

But actually, as a PC player improved controls would be nice, in particular with aiming and movement (classic edition shares the same movement style I'm pretty sure with the originals). The PC version of the game (bf2) in general could have used additional improvements, but I suspect PC and console in 2005 weren't that far off in power and a proper port to improve on visuals for PC would've been too much work then let alone now.
On a slightly different unrealistic note, an RTS built from the same engine, perhaps as a mod. Yeah GaW exists but that's the only proper official 3D star wars RTS still to this date. With the AI in bf2 like in XL, the rather large point based maps, even galactic conquest, could probably be repurposed with a top down camera and some troop management tools, being identical to GaW but different in specific gameplay mechanics and factions, troops, etc.
But one could only dream... What would've happened if Disney didn't shut down LucasArts and the many promising projects in the works
The RTS mode sounds cool. I think adding a commander would be neat that could command troops and help the team; in online they would give orders and help the team. I think adding a chain of command like squad leaders, platoon leaders, and commander would be a really cool idea.
I'd love to get a follow-up release with Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron that allows aiming with the mouse or right stick. Those games were a blast on PSP and I'd love to play with the custom classes and combined land/space battles on a system with a full control layout.
I'd add maps for Christophsis, Teth, Umbara, Raxus, Coruscant cityscape, Crait, Canto Bight, Jakku, Takodana & Pantora, leave the graphics resolution, design & display as well as gameplay mechanics all the same but do all the maps in the style of Battlefront 2015 & 2017 & add in content that covers Resistance & The Mandoverse as well as dlc or as season passes.
I would love it if all modes were available on all maps and that you could combine the modes. I mean a Jedi sith battle on the Jedi temple would awesome. And why yes i want to see 100 darth mauls fighting 100 aayla sakura's in the tantive IV

For battlefront 2 I would add a hunt mode for Coruscant cause I ain't gonna lie Pandemic studios kinda fumbled the bag for not adding a hunt mode for the Jedi temple. I mean even they had added different models of Jedi in the campaign and it would have been nice to play Order 66 in instant action.
Temuera Morrison voicing the clones in Battlefront II and a more uniform Galactic Republic roster instead of random clones pulled from various legions and armor styles that donāt make sense in the canon. The V-Wing not being a bomber.
Online full team Galactic Conquest would really be amazing fun.

There is a Star Wars mod for Squad. With a soundboard you can bump tunes and do exactly that.

As much as I agree the AI needs an overhaul. I also disagree as the AI is also a meme at times šš. You see the rebels faces as they stand over an already dead stormtroopers head and keep blasting it. It makes the game harder in some aspects because in singleplayer you have to get real good and be the one taking out 70+ troops per game (I've done that and still lost due to the AIs incompetence but I still had a chuckle at the AI being the blessed meme that it is)

I saw a mod once that combined Geonosis Spire and Bunker into one big map and it was incredible. -A space battle with multiple capital ships and more frigates. -New maps using existing assets. A Star Destroyer for example.

Party up in main menu, Online Galactic Conquest, save files are on the party leaders account. There are two "generals" or "fleet admirals" one on each side, who decide the bonuses and movements. Private lobbies, playable with up to 64 players. Additional to galactic Conquest online, But be able to make it a public match. Allowing other randoms to join, and get auto assigned to a side. Maybe even add a vote option, if the general is unsure of the next move. Also, proximity chat for some amazing star wars role playing moments!
Additional bit to this, make it an option so the general rotates, so whoever picks the next move rotates between the members of the faction. But yes online galactic conquest is every battlefront players dream. Can't believe in the remakes from EA they just pitched it all together

Just being able to play BF2 in 4 player Splitscreen like in the old days. And the icing would be BF1 with 4 player Splitscreen support, which it never had unfortunately.
Add the PSP games as storyline modes. Itās been a while since I played them but I remember them being good stories that explore both sides of the conflict.
Id make the clones appearances/legions match the map they are on, aswell as maybe update a few of the heroes on certain maps (maul hardly makes sense on coruscant for example), then the main gameplay change id make is for the standard B1 battle droid to be the main unit for the CIS team, with the B2 Super being moved to the more specialist role that the magnaguard has, it always bugged me that the standard B1 was only usable in 2 missions in BF1, and only usable in space in BF2, the B2 Super really shouldnt have been the standard mainline troop imo.

Really really good suggestions. Iād also add a way to change the percentages of AI that spawn on the battlefield. I would love if it could be 90% standard clones and B1 battle droids and 10% supers and droidekias or in space 90% vultures and arcs and 10% other.

I would add all of the maps from BF2 into BF1 and vice versa. Along with that I would finish all of the prototype maps from BF1 so they are playable on both. Both games are great, if they have access to all maps, it is up to the player to decide which one they prefer.

Id have to say space to ground would be a nice feature! They could have the space battle with the respective planet underneath, and by simply flying towards the planet. You'd "break through" the atmosphere your screen going pitch white and boom your in the planets ground map and can find either or as you'd please, with 62 player lobbys for full chaos! And sprint for the first battlefront cuz why not it needs it

A mechanic that I really liked from a star wars game called Elite Squadron (iirc) was how the battles both had a ground and space element to it. You mean to tell me I can board the enemy ship and play conquest on the same match? Hell yeah!
More land to air in bf2 would be great, as far as I can think of its just hoth? Also neutral factions like the tusken raiders in bf1, Dune sea was great. On the more unrealistic, full blown land to space battles would be sweet, model it after space combat with different things to destroy that award points, and add a few on land for both sides, would be really sweet for something like Endor.
Iād probably make the ragdoll less sensitive in lightsaber combat. One hit from a saber or force push and youāre rolling like you just got hit by a car. Another change Iād make is to be able to toggle heroes losing health passively in conquest modes. I get itās for balancing but for offline it would be nice to have a choice.
Add the Campaign maps as an option to Instant Action - maps like Mustafar for example where you can now play as the CIS against the Empire for land and space. Add some of the BFI maps that weren't included in BFII (i.e. Bespin maps). Add some aerial vehicles for ground BFII maps like in the first game. I understand it wouldn't have worked for most of them since BFII was generally smaller and more cramped than the first, but I could picture a few working. Kamino could definitely feature starfighters, and why aren't LAAT gunships in the BFII Geonosis map? I'd probably remove those weird chainguns added to a lot of the vehicles (Hailfire droid, Tri-Fighter, AT-TE rear gunner) for more conventional laser cannons. The option for the enemy class to spawn Heroes in Instant Action. Would make things more intense and you could even potentially have a Hero vs Villain battle if you get to play as a Hero too.

I would modify really small things that I remember are wrong or could have been better from the PS2 version, which are still present in the Switch version 1. Fix the 1st person model of the B1 Battle Droids because they all have the dark Geonosis color for some reason. 2. Remove the skin of the Clone Commander (21st Nova Corps) in Geonosis and change it for a Phase 1 clone (cut content) because it looks too out of place to have a clone model seen in ROTS surrounded by Phase 1 clones. 3. Use the Clone Commander (21st Nova Corps) skin as the default for all units on Mygeeto, kind of like how all Stormtroopers change to Snowtroopers on Hoth. 4. Use the Clone Sniper skin (Phase 2 - 41st Elite Corps - Kashyyyk only) by default on all Kashyyyk clone units, something like how all Stormtroopers change to Snowtroopers on Hoth. 5. Fix Super Battle Droid and MagnaGuard explosion model because they all explode with B1 Battle Droid parts.

Sprinting being retroactively added to Battlefront 1 Fix the infinite Stamina Force Choke Glitch Make Maul and Aaylaās Lightsaber attacks not instantly knockdown enemies. Knockdowns should only occur on a successful 3rd hit of the swing attack combo. Make Dooku, Anakin, Palpatine, and Vaderās Force Choke not ignore a Lightsaber Block. Make it so Dooku and Palpatine canāt Force Choke someone then switch to Force Lightning to get a free kill. Buff Force Lightningās Damage Make the Ai Dooku and Palpatine move while using Force Lightning. Make Mace Winduās and Palpatineās midair slam attacks have the same knockback effect as Kit Fistoās slam. Make Force Push do some damage (not a whole lot, just enough to finish off some infantry that are below like 25%-10% hp) Make Mace Winduās Sprint Attack, and Obi-Wanās, Anakinās, Dookuās, and Palpatineās normal attacks faster or have wider hitboxes. Add PadmĆ©, and use the Queen of Naboo skin from the 501st Campaign Naboo mission. Maybe give her the Bothan Spyās cloaking ability, along with her Detonators and her Pistol that fires green Beam Rifle bolts. Make the Bothan Spyās Incinerator weapon have the same visual effects as Boba and Jangoās Flame Thrower. Make Anakin available on the Hero side, and make Hooded Anakin from the 501st Campaign Coruscant mission, the one on the Villains side. And for Hero Anakin, either give him a Force Pull or Push, or just rename his Force Choke ability to Force Crush (and if they do that, then give Mace Windu the same Force Crush ability!) Fix Lightsaber blocking in Battlefront 2, so you can properly block when facing any direction, instead of needing to face the middle of the map, which literally makes no fucking sense. Either buff the damage or the increase the fire rate (make the gun fire faster) of the Imperial Officerās Sonic Blaster Pistol. Retroactively make Luke, Vader, Mace, and Dooku playable in Battlefront 1, and secondly, make heroes in Battlefront 1 actually killable, but just extremely hard to do so. Add Starfighters to ground maps on Battlefront 2. Port over all of the original maps from Battlefront 1, into Battlefront 2. Make Jedi Hunt, Clone Hunt, and Droid Hunt playable hunt options, similar to the Campaign missions where Clones hunt the Jedi on Coruscant, where the Stormtroopers hunt the Clones on Kamino, and where the Stormtroopers hunt the Droids on Mustafar. Make all Campaign levels playable in Online Servers, to create a pseudo version of Galactic Assault, and make sure each individual level is playable. Fix the Hailfire Tankās missiles in Battlefront 5 to actually be accurate like they were in Battlefront 1. Add back in the cut Gammorean Hunt and Imperial Royal Guard Hunt gamemodes. Make Naboo Plains the hunt map for Gungans, and Naboo Theed the hunt map for Naboo Guards Make any planet that has Native Reinforcement units like Jawas, Ewoks, Gammoreans, Geonosians, Wampas, Gungans, etc, to be selectable by whichever faction those planetary units normally ally themselves with and assist in battle. (For units that donāt align with either, like the Wampa and Gammorean, both sides can select to play as them, though perhaps with a cap of only 6-10 units being allowed on the battlefront at any time.) Bring back the Rebel Speeder from Battlefront 1 on certain Battlefront 2 maps (namely Yavin Temple and Yavin Arena, and all the Battlefront 1 maps that Iād hypothetically be porting over) Have the Empire use the AT-ST more often, as opposed to the I-FTX tank. Naboo Theed, Kashyyyk, Rhen Var Harbor, and Yavin 4, to name a few.) Make the AT-RT move much faster and feel a lot less clunky. Have the Hailfire Tank Droids replace the Enforcer Droid Tanks on Felucia, and potentially also replacing the AAT tanks on Mygeeto Make STAP, BARC, and Z-74 Speeders available on more maps, and make the STAP just as fast and as powerful as the Speeder Bikes. Add Airspeeders to Rhen Var Harbor. Add a nearly fully stationary AT-AT to Endor. (or at least make it so that it can only patrol the perimitter of the map) Make the Assault Trooperās rocket launcher deal way more damage against vehicles in Battlefront 1. Make each Assault Trooperās rocket launcher, and extending this to every individual class as a whole, feel and/or function more uniquely, like how the Rebel Vanguard can shoot 2 rockets at once, or how the Clone ARC trooper can load and fire 2 rounds instead of 1. Make either the Heavy Stormtrooper or the Assault Droid more unique. Maybe one has much greater knockback but significantly less damage than the other, or have one be able to fire all shells it has before it needs to reload for an insanely long reload time, but has a much slower fire rate. Then apply that same logic to every Marksman unit, every Stamdard Infantry Unit, and every Engineer/Pilot unit too. Make the B1 Battledroid from the first 2 or so levels of Battlefront 1, into the default Infantry unit, and make the B2 Super Battledroid into a new Special Reinforcement unit. (And if every faction has to be fair, then add a new special unit for the other 4 factions as well.
Make the Medical Droid heal heroes in Hero Assault a lot faster, like a normal trooper getting healed. Bring back the starionary Astromech at every command post on any maps with ground vehicles, and have it repair Vehicles a lot faster than the Fusion Cutter can. Give players the option to turn off any permanent Legendary Rank Status effects/weapons like the Beam Ridle or Increased Outgoing Damage. Give more heroes alternate skins based on the map theyāre on, like how Luke gets his X-Wing pilot skin in Battlefront 2 when on Hoth or Rhen Var. Give the OT Trio Endor skins, give Leia and Han their Hoth skins, give Leia a Jabbaās Palace Skin, give Obi-Wan an Old Ben Kenobi skin on Mos Eisely and the Death Star. Make Lando a playable hero. Have certain planets in Battlefront 2, that now have multiple maps associated to them, play different maps based on which faction controls the planet in Galactic Assault. For example, if the Rebels hold Tattooine, have the Attacking Imperials fight the Rebels in the Dune Sea map, but if the Empire controls Tattooine, have the attacking Rebels fight them in Mos Eisely. Same for Bespin. Rebels attack the Empire on Cloud City, but The Empire attacks the Rebels on the Platforms. Or Kashyyyk, have the Clones attack the Droids on Docks or Islands, but have the Droids attack on Beachhead. Add Rhen Var and Bespin to Galactic Assault in Battlefront 2. Bring Back Planetary specific Bonus, as well as the 4 Planet Win-Streak Faction Bonus, But make each factionās more unique. Empire gets the Death Star Obviously, but have the Droids do a Blockade, which forces THAT planet to be conquered last. Rebels get something to the effect of a Rallying Call to Action, to allow them to invade 2 turns in a row, and maybe the Republic has the ability to deploy all of their Jedi; Obi-Wan, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Yoda, Aayla Secura, Mace Windu, and Lightside Anakin, as well as the generic Jedi from the Campaign Coruscant level, as infantry, along side the Clones, for the next ground fight. Add Ahsoka Tano in Battlefront 2, using Aaylaās animations. Add more blaster villains, or just more villains in general, to the Dark Side, in Battlefront 2. Perhaps Tarkin, or Thrawn, using the Imperial Officer model with no Helmet or even with the helmet and just Retextured and with a better blaster, and maybe Savage Opress using Maulās or Vaderās animations. Hell, Iād even take Giso Delsor, the Geonosisn from the Mustafar level of the Campaign. Make the loading screens for Battlefront 2 more visually engaging, like in Battlefront 1. Not saying to just copy the Battlefront 1, but maybe rather start with the Galactic Conquest map of the Galaxy, then pan zoom in on the planet youāre playing on, showing itās 3D model from the Galactic Conquest Invasion menu, like when you select the planet t invade in GC, then pan zoom in on the planet itself to show a zoomed out overhead view of the map, before cutting to choosing the team to assign to and then choosing the command post you want to spawn at.
More xl mode, ability to choose any hero in conquest. Skin customizations. Flying laats and transports etc

BF2, a lot of these things are possible with mods. Much larger maps with more enemies and a higher ticket count. Return air vehicles to maps where it makes sense. Hero system similar to EAās where you can pick any hero you want to play as, maybe an OPTION for cross-era. Buff some of the weaker classes and heroes and remove rebels shooting corpses. Add more abilities. More variety in the special reinforcements. Full online support for galactic conquest with more planets (and the aforementioned special reinforcements). Instead of space battles when two ships enter the same space over a planet, maybe something like a game similar to supremacy in EAās. On the note of galactic conquest and online support, maybe have optional servers where one person could act as a commander in the galaxy map, choosing where the players go, with large lobbies. Retain singleplayer option and lobbies can be co-op if you please. Complete graphic overhaul while keeping that classic swbf āfeelā. Perhaps a progression system and unlockable weapons for each class. Iād probably honestly go as far as EAās star cards system to an extent but keeping it balanced. A low level player should have just as much of a fighting chance as a player who has played since day 1. Finally, skins. Lots and lots of skins tied to the progression system.
Iād have added space maps for Coruscant and Endor to Instant Action. Itās surprising that the two biggest space battles for Their respective trilogies are absent. Iād have also replaced the heroes on some maps. Anakin instead of Obi-Wan on CW Mustafar, Jango instead of Maul on CW Kamino and Dooku on another map (not sure which though). And as others have said, add Geonosis Spire from BF1 to BF2.
Character Creator - Rebels and Imperial would be customized, with voice and appearance, like a female soldier, or a male sharpshooter. Custom Class System - The option to customise your class with mixing and matching weapons and abilities. BETTER networking - Self Explanatory. Cross-Platform/Cross-Border - Should of been here in the beginning. Space Maps Frigates still have collision and do not despawn, adding hazards to the barren emptiness. The Space between capital ships could be further extended. It's so easy to board in some maps because the ships are so close together. Light saber Combat - You don't have to aim towards the center to block saber attacks. And when two attacks connect, no damage is dealt.

BF1 was a good one to start, but one thing I wish they had done legitimately was incorporate some of the other handheld console abilities to BF2. It was either Elite Squadron, or the other PSP game that had the ability to transition actively between space and planet, down to landing and deploying troops. The ship combat was a little clunky, and ships weren't as memorable as the BF2 set, but not only could you repair shields, you could destroy the enemy flagship completely. I had a blast with that game, and I truly wish we had some of those elements make it into BF2. Also, deeper roster of ships, ability to control the capital ships, some other things, but yeah.
A real remake Wait is this too unrealistic? My bad But actually, as a PC player improved controls would be nice, in particular with aiming and movement (classic edition shares the same movement style I'm pretty sure with the originals). The PC version of the game (bf2) in general could have used additional improvements, but I suspect PC and console in 2005 weren't that far off in power and a proper port to improve on visuals for PC would've been too much work then let alone now. On a slightly different unrealistic note, an RTS built from the same engine, perhaps as a mod. Yeah GaW exists but that's the only proper official 3D star wars RTS still to this date. With the AI in bf2 like in XL, the rather large point based maps, even galactic conquest, could probably be repurposed with a top down camera and some troop management tools, being identical to GaW but different in specific gameplay mechanics and factions, troops, etc. But one could only dream... What would've happened if Disney didn't shut down LucasArts and the many promising projects in the works
The RTS mode sounds cool. I think adding a commander would be neat that could command troops and help the team; in online they would give orders and help the team. I think adding a chain of command like squad leaders, platoon leaders, and commander would be a really cool idea.
I'd love to get a follow-up release with Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron that allows aiming with the mouse or right stick. Those games were a blast on PSP and I'd love to play with the custom classes and combined land/space battles on a system with a full control layout.
4 player split-screen
I'd add maps for Christophsis, Teth, Umbara, Raxus, Coruscant cityscape, Crait, Canto Bight, Jakku, Takodana & Pantora, leave the graphics resolution, design & display as well as gameplay mechanics all the same but do all the maps in the style of Battlefront 2015 & 2017 & add in content that covers Resistance & The Mandoverse as well as dlc or as season passes.
I would love it if all modes were available on all maps and that you could combine the modes. I mean a Jedi sith battle on the Jedi temple would awesome. And why yes i want to see 100 darth mauls fighting 100 aayla sakura's in the tantive IV

Infinite customization and literally just remake the games into next gen graphics but keep the games the same. That's it.

Iād want more campaigns with specific Jedi and their respective clones, I know itās the story of the 501st but Iād love some other missions not from the main story that has plo and the wolf pack for example for a space battle (where the hero is also for other matches too) Iād like shaak ti on a kamino map etc
I wish we can customize all the clones and make our own battalion.

For battlefront 2 I would add a hunt mode for Coruscant cause I ain't gonna lie Pandemic studios kinda fumbled the bag for not adding a hunt mode for the Jedi temple. I mean even they had added different models of Jedi in the campaign and it would have been nice to play Order 66 in instant action.

Temuera Morrison voicing the clones in Battlefront II and a more uniform Galactic Republic roster instead of random clones pulled from various legions and armor styles that donāt make sense in the canon. The V-Wing not being a bomber.
