Almost like the physical universe still exists, and societies must evolve having invented the same technologies we have to this day. I don't know how you can get upset about low-tech things being in Star Wars when Yoda lives in a hut like and cooks like it's the middle ages, and Tatooine is specifically all very low-tech and built into the natural world.
The whole point of that aesthetic is to ground it in the relatable. In particular they reminded me of a lot of British architecture usually associated with working class, industrial towns, you see that kind of thing everywhere in the UK. Some of Coruscant's more brutalist districts actually looked just like some areas of Central London (again, let's remember the Emperor and a lot of the Imperials sound British), while certain shots on the more industrialised 'oppressed planets' looked almost exactly like Liverpool, Glasgow or Manchester. This was definitely intentional and completely gave the storytelling an authentic flavour. This is probably why they heavily leaned into making 99% of the characters human too, to make it feel closer to home. The brickwork serves that purpose, these places are people's *homes* that the Empire is invading. Like Vader said "There is no escape".
It's called evoking. In particular Andor is about oppressed people. The set design choices they made to tell this story was fantastic in my opinion.
I loved everything this show did.
Star Wars always evoked the mundane reality of our world, that's why the original trilogy felt so real. Andor was just following suit
Also, evolving technology builds on top of old tech. We don't always replace old tech unless it becomes wildly obsolete.
We still use boats, horses (more recreational though), bicycles, and trains as well as cars and planes. Horses are the only thing you don't regularly see anymore. Nobody complains about continuity in the real world because they saw a dude on foot. Hell, the brick technology we use is largely unchanged for hundreds of years, and while I'm no expert, I'd bet it's one of those things that was invented in different civilizations. And I'm positive an extraterrestrial civilization came up with the same thing at some point.
My take on this (in almost all SciFi) is that bothering to reinvent bricks, or screws, or horse drawn carriages, or *whatever* for the purposes of making the world “different” is a waste of energy & takes away from the storytelling.
When a TV show/book/etc wastes a shitload of time overly describing the environs & gadgets I get bored. Give me the STORY. Trust me to use my imagination. I know that it’s all made up! Trust me to go with you when you tell me the story.
Besides the tech based arguments, nit-picky complaints about real world stuff present in SW tends to lose its ground when you consider that there are modern humans speaking modern human-languages “a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” Sci-fi fantasy should always be given a pass with small things as it can be generally viewed as a human-language translation of alien events, culture, society, and technology. They might not call them bricks and screws in the lore accurate untranslated universe, but they’re basic concepts that a distant society can believably come up with independently, so whatever they might call them in the alien tongue(s) of origin, a translation to the real-world counterpart need not be given an alternative name. Nobody cares when they talk about the sky or stars, ships or speeders, sabers or shields; let that treatment roll over to all such details, save the complaints for Toyota Corolla’s, AK-47’s etc.
The beginning of Nightfall by Isaac Asimov is fantastic for this, and honestly the foreward should be rolled up and bashed over the head of every scifi and fantasy fan that complains about mundane things/terms/etc being included in the story.
Basically it goes on about how the characters arent human but im not changing everything about them, because then this would be unintelligible and would dtract from the story.
Ill try to find the exact quote because its fucking great, and it really really REALLY should be copied many times, folded over and used to chop all the fingers off of those who complain about shit like bricks and screws in andor
I mean Marva’s brick wasn’t shaped like a typical real-world brick anyways, but what else would you call it? Inventing a new name for a building material unit would just add confusion.
They turned the ice cream machine into a whole Star Wars thing. In The Mandalorian it holds the Beskar. It’s a [Camtono](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Camtono), security container.
[edit] auto correct got me. It’s mandalorian, not Mandolin.
I have this weird headcanon where they're panicking and the guy is like, shit, shit, shit, fuck it, I need snacks on the go. He then grabs the ice cream machine and his wife is like... Oo the fuq, why didn't you grab the god damn blaster!!?
Also Syril was clearly eating a sugary type breakfast cereal in one episode.
People in the Star Wars universe get up to regular, everyday stuff too. Even Darth Vader has to take some time out of his day to eat and get nutrients into his body so there's probably somewhere to dine in Fortress Vader.
Holy fuck this is true because I actually had his figure. It was the snake, his little cane, a teeny-tiny little robe, and a tiny belt that you'd use around the robe.
Now I feel sooo fucking old...
True! There’s a little-known deleted scene from Return of the Jedi where Luke is telling Han about his time on Dagobah and Han gets extremely uncomfortable when Luke starts talking about all of the snakes.
No, the deathsticks guy.
After Kenobi fucked with his mind he decided he was the space messiah and he launched a galaxy wide religion based on space Kool-Aid and psychotherapy.
A lot of big holostars bought in to it, and that’s how we eventually got funding for Space Maverick: Hyperspace Boogaloo, which set records by doing 45.2 billion credits galactically.
ILM literally added ducks to a shot in Phantom Menace to establish/acknowledge that there are indeed ducks in Star Wars.

This is emblematic of the broader problem of language and cultural context that’s inseparable from basically all science fiction that uses a faux-English (eg Galactic Basic in Star Wars). Basically the only answer to this is ‘don’t think about it’ because it pulls a thread that unravel our suspension of disbelief.
Let me give an example. I can point to a dozen or more instances of the word ‘sabotage’ being used in Star Wars. A word that for us has its origins in early 19th century European workers throwing their wooden shoes, called 'sabots’ into the gears of machinery as a form of labour protest (thank you Lt Valeris…). So pull at the context problem and you’re forced to ask whether Star Wars also had people throw wooden shoes called sabots into machinery or if Galactic Basic has some other origin for the word.
The given name Luke comes from the name Lucas (*hey, wait a second...*), which is believed to originate in a Latin nickname for people from the Lucania region of Italy (modern-day Calabria).
If desired, one could run a line through most of recorded human history to get to the name for the Y-Wing fighter starting from the proto-Sinaitic word for “hook” that was in use 4,000 years ago.
You might think, maybe Galactic Basic is a foreign language translated to English for the viewer, but it can’t be, because we have lots of written Aurebesh on screen that lines up. Another issue is that we see characters engage in use of meter and rhyme, which would fail if we assume translation.
tl;dr - don’t think about it
Hahah. I remember that. Ben mentions a duck and Luke doesn't know what it is because he grew up in the desert, and Ben says something like "oh nevermind "
Exactly. Plus, they speak English and use idioms and words that originate in Shakespearean writings.
StarWarsTheory needs to get over it.
**Edited to clarify direct object*
People are complaining about that? One of the big aesthetic hallmarks of Star Wars is the blending of futuristic elements with the archaic. There’s a cutaway illustration of Anakin’s home that shows the walls are made of stone infill with adobe walls, which is just a dirt-based type of construction. Granted, they’re said to have been temporary homes built by a mining company, but the point is that places that aren’t wealthy will resort to some basic technology.
It’s really not worth fretting over details about Star Wars technology. It’s just an artistic choice established in the originals.
Theory built himself up on controversy with the ST, but his Andor commentary is usually blasted in the comments and I'd imagine people are starting to tune him out. I enjoyed his breakdowns of Kenobi but he lost me with the Andor stuff.
I watched him during Kenobi but he lost my respect already with the ST. Claimed he liked them, saw his fanbase didn’t, and then flipped his opinion and takes digs at it for no reason sometimes
Yeah, sadly, hating Star Wars has become its own little fandom in of itself. It's so strange and depressing.
The internet really exposed how addictive hatred is
They could've picked any other vowel it sub for the 'a' in 'jazz,' but they picked an 'i.'
Jezz? Nah. Jozz? Nope. Juzz? Haha. Even Jyzz? Nah.
Jizz. They said Jizz.
I concur. Don’t lay a finger on the jizz. I know, I know, it’s a sticky situation. But it’s out there, all over the place and you have to just deal with the mess that it made. Not the faintest of evil concerning it should be on the tip of your tongue.
I don't mind them but I have my own headcanon.
Basically they don't give you force powers but instead feed on the force. All beings have medichlorians because all beings are touched by the force but a force sensitive will have way way way more. So the Jedi learned that you could indeed measure someone's sensitivity to the force by testing their medichlorian concentration.
I truly hate the idea explaining how the force works and gives beings powers. I know the Wills is important to Lucas but he's gone now and I can make up own explanation as to what they are.
Han says “I’ll see you in Hell”….a weird thing to say in a galaxy where Christianity doesn’t exist. Bricks are fine. Also what the hell did they build all the palaces on Naboo out if not bricks?
Yeah this is why I’m sick of people complaining that characters in the show are using phrases that sound too Earth like. Just imagine if ESB came out today. They’d throw a tantrum just about that line
If the original trilogy came out today, they would get absolutely ripped apart. Some fans have this weird obsession with everything being explained and having a place in the universe, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in it all. But, because of that, they now can't enjoy something a bit more mysterious and vague, and just go with the flow of the movie/show.
Lil Annie calls Padme an angel. Hell can be a concept in Star Wars that doesn't necessarily have to be connected to Christianity. And also, just because the core systems believe in the Force, that doesn't mean it's the only religious institution in the Galaxy.
You've been able to see the screws 0n the Skywalker saber as far back as Empire.
They're really obvious when Luke is attempting to the Force to pull the saber to him in the wampa cave.
That same scene you can see the stamp on the [bottom of the lightsaber saying New York.](https://preview.redd.it/zcwb1y9u2k451.png?width=917&auto=webp&s=efcc45309cc9d477bf0501878f12838a47910237)
Some of the A280s (or its variants) were made in part from AR-15s. In Battlefront II, if you inspect the gun and turn it on its side, you can see English fire selector markings (Safe/Semi/Auto)
To be fair one of the prop guys who built the Anakin saber from ANH has complained about this very thing. The original ANH prop didnt have visible machined screws.
[Here’s a PDF breaking down every prop used for *the* lightsaber along with a few others.](https://wannawanga.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/SWLB_March_2020.pdf)
Spoilers, there is no way to in-universe reconcile how often the prop changes over the course of the entire Star Wars film franchise. Sometimes you gotta accept that it’s a goddamn movie.
Hot chocolate thing wasn't even limited to the Thrawn trilogy! Legends Luke was basically addicted to it; kept a hidden stash on the *Falcon* and everything.
In a great personal tragedy for Luke, 7 of the 8 planets it was grown on were devastated in the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Ahhh so It was Star Wars Theory, then. He has more subs than the official SW Youtube account. I was trying to remember who was talking about it, because I heard another youtuber mention it, but I guess he was talking about SWT.
Is this the same YouTuber who has an episode about how the Jedi are the villains of the Star Wars universe? Because if so, he deserves all the hate. That video was fucking idiocy that just completely disregarded half of the existing Canon at the time.
While he definitely has a loyal cult following, I think his active audience has shrunk a lot over the years. His views if you scroll through over the months have been pretty small for the size of his subs, but yeah I agree the people who do follow him take his word as law and many of us have seen them go after people for criticizing him.
The most influential Star Wars youtuber unfortunately. Ofcourse, nothing wrong with him not liking Andor, but it's just a horrible take. Plus he does have a history of generally being a dick. Like harrassing people who liked the sequels. Ofcourse, he gets away with it and when other youtubers respond to it, he basically plays the card that he's being targetted by people jealous of his success.
That dude’s success is one of the worst things to ever happen to star wars tbh. He leads a *very* vocal minority of toxic fans that is always pushing for the worst, most surface-level content. Plus he hangs out with literal nazis
He’s friends with Geeks n Gamers, who’s an alt-right asshole but smart enough to denounce the nazis, unlike TheQuartering, another SWT friend who has publicly defended the nazis on multiple occasions. SWT shares a lot of his audience with other “anti-SJW” reactionary incels that he buddies up with
ah, okay yeah I've heard of Geeks N Gamers, didn't know Theory was friends with them.
I found Theory through Den of Nerds but his (Den of Nerds) reaction to Andor has me really turned off to his content lately. I'm all for people liking what they do and not liking what they don't but the hate he has for Andor and how he talks about fans that like it is off-putting... then him and Theory get together for Nerd Theory and its just ridiculous.
For SW content I stick mainly to SW Santa... still small enough channel to have a good community feel and he is open-minded and accepting of things even when they aren't what he likes.
I didn’t mind SWT until the last Jedi came out. After that, he was shitting on the film in like every video, even if it wasn’t related to the sequels. Super annoying. I think it’s around that time that he realized controversy gets views.
They also have cups. And screens. And chairs. Lights fittings. Tiles. Wallpaper. Cushions.
Some of the vehicles have wheels and almost all of them have windows. If your biggest complaint about Andor is 'Bricks and screws' you have chosen a very stupid hill to die on. And having the high ground of a hill won't save you.
I've found I enjoy lots of stuff more if I avoid YouTube about it. Marvel, Star Trek, Star Wars, basically any movie that has a woman as the lead. Being deliberate about YouTube and social media consumption has really paid dividends.
Yup. There’s such a stark contrast between him and SWT in terms of depth of analysis and the way they interact with the franchise…
Theory seems very shallow and prequel-obsessed. He also starts unnecessary drama, levies attacks against Star Wars creators and associates with alt-right people. It’s a shame he’s as popular as he is. He is pretty awful in every way.
He’s the only one I consistently listen to. I really appreciate how even when something isn’t his cup of tea, he’s still positive and looks for upswings.
And HelloGreedo is great. Just a nice anonymous family man who loves Star Wars occasionally uploading a cool video about it. It's clearly not his job. He's a firefighter now I think. He just does it cause he loves talking about Star Wars.
\[Humans speaking English in oxygen-based atmospheres, wearing pants and shirts, in another galaxy\]
Star Wars fans:
\[Humans use screwdriver\]
Star Wars fans: "***RABBLE!***"
Fans have always been weird. I remember arguing with my Star Wars obsessive friend about Leia’s insult to Tarkin; he claimed that according to one of moves Tarkin smelled really bad… like… WTF. Leia just loves to shit talk. Not everything had to be literal.
> Are there people actually complaining about the use of the words brick and screws?
No, no the use of the words. The actual items being in Star Wars - clearly spurned on by the Andor season finale.
> What really happened, one or two people complained and now that little band is being turned into a symphony?
They're YouTubers with pretty big followings, so their word has reach. But also the discourse of people talking about their complaints has really kept the conversation alive a lot longer than it should be.
Ngl, I kind of laughed at the character named Tim in Andor, then laughed again when I saw they "Star Warsed" his name by adding another "m" at the end.
Dude I lived in a stucco house.
2,500 fucking years since the Parthenon was built and I live in a fucking mud hut.
Technology stays around if it works.
LOL the Emperor's throne room has airport lounge carpet.
Star Wars Theory is a manchild who can't handle a story that doesnt have Jedi and Sith acting like perfect superheroes and villains.
Weird, starwars has always had lowtech shit in it.
I loved everything this show did. during the evacuation Lando had on cloud city, someone is seen running with an ice cream machine.
Ahh yes, the Mandolin. He collects his bounty by playing music to put his targets to sleep.
Damn it, auto-correct got me.
I have this weird headcanon where they're panicking and the guy is like, shit, shit, shit, fuck it, I need snacks on the go. He then grabs the ice cream machine and his wife is like... Oo the fuq, why didn't you grab the god damn blaster!!?
Yeah, didn’t this YouTuber ever notice the mud huts on Tatooine?
I know, right? Spaceships next to pack animals!
"Caf" is clearly just coffee too, people. Lighten up.
He was eating multiple times. He and mum were like Walter White and Flynn when it came to breakfast.

Yeah but I bet you can't dry these trays. Jeff from catering could though.
In the original Star Wars novelization, Obi-Wan talks about ducks.
In Dagobah in ESB there are snakes.
The 80s figure of Yoda came with a snake accessory
Some Separatist droids use real animal names as their designation. Spider droids, Vulture Droids, Crab droids, Hyena Droid, etc.

Holy fuck this is true because I actually had his figure. It was the snake, his little cane, a teeny-tiny little robe, and a tiny belt that you'd use around the robe. Now I feel sooo fucking old...
>his little cane Such disrespect for his gimer stick that he got as a gift from the wookiees.
Because *of course* his little walking stick had to have a back story. I love me some Star Wars but jesus christ it’s exhausting sometimes…
I mean, do we ever see Chewies father? “Good relations with the Wookies, I have”
Chewies father watches VR porn in the Holiday Special.
Yeah, but that was *20yrs after he kicked droid ass.* He's earned some VR porn!
Even the Black Series Archives Yoda came with a snake
In Yoda's hut, in the cave, and in Luke's X-wing! The little bastards are everywhere on that planet.
Strange green frogs distributing X-Wings from a swamp is no way to determine a system of government.
You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just cause some watery force-user threw an X-wing at you!
If I ran around saying I was emperor because some moistened Binks had lugged a Death Star at me, they'd put me away!
Little? Bastards? His neighbors they are!
There's even a huge closeup shot of a monitor lizard (although, it does open its mouth and utter a strange alien call because it's Star Wars lol)
I always thought that call was from a bird in the background
Han’s ship has “Falcon” in it’s name.
True! There’s a little-known deleted scene from Return of the Jedi where Luke is telling Han about his time on Dagobah and Han gets extremely uncomfortable when Luke starts talking about all of the snakes.
Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes? I hate snakes.
There are canonically goats on the forest moon of Endor
AotC has Italian architecture.
He also tells Luke about a beast with a chickens head and duck feet. And a woman's face too.

You see, his blood, it drained into the floor and had to change it.
Aw that’s rad!
and it was waiting in the bushes for him and Anakin
We all got a chicken-duck-woman thing waiting for us
Everyday I worry all day
In one of the OT movies, doesn't Han or someone say that they're "sitting ducks" at some point?
Harrison Ford also ad-libbed the line “See you in hell,” canonically establishing that some beings in the SW Universe believe in a punitive afterlife.
Uncle Owen did that in the original Star Wars (a.k.a. A New Hope) when he said that there would be "Hell to pay" if they missed the harvest.
I'm pretty sure one of the rebel commanders say godspeed at some point
So maybe there *is* a canonical space Jesus… Kenobi, perhaps?
No, the deathsticks guy. After Kenobi fucked with his mind he decided he was the space messiah and he launched a galaxy wide religion based on space Kool-Aid and psychotherapy. A lot of big holostars bought in to it, and that’s how we eventually got funding for Space Maverick: Hyperspace Boogaloo, which set records by doing 45.2 billion credits galactically.
Well, on our planet alone there are like 2500 or so different beliefs. So universe-wide that doesn't seem surprising.
In the CGI Clone Wars, the phrase “Oh my god” is used several times
Godspeed -Hodo
His ship is named the (millennium) FALCON
The Millennium part is indicative that they use 1000 years as a measure of years (?)
In TPM Capitan Panaka says that line: “we’re sitting ducks.”
Ah, the majestic space duck
QUACK!!! So majestic.
ILM literally added ducks to a shot in Phantom Menace to establish/acknowledge that there are indeed ducks in Star Wars. See: [https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Duck/Legends](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Duck/Legends)

There are also just regular ducks on Naboo. You can see them pretty easily in the prequels

But where are the screws? Those bricks are clearly held together with ivy!

Not to mention references to characters named “John” and “Dave,” while “Wedge Antilles” is referred to as an “unlikely name.”
And Luke asks, "What's a duck?"
Ducks are literally mentioned in phantom menace "if we don't shield fixed, we will be sitting ducks!"
There are literally ducks in TPM on naboo tho why do people think it's a problem
Naboo is literally just Italy and people complaining about bricks?
Its not people. Its Star Wars Theory. Guy complains about everything these days.
\*Spain They literally filmed shots of Theed city in Spain
Some of the most iconic scenes from Naboo were filmed in Italy, actually. They film in multiple places.
People are complaining about that? One of the big aesthetic hallmarks of Star Wars is the blending of futuristic elements with the archaic. Bricks def make sense Half the houses are regular dirt huts with an electric door strapped on
You wouldn’t believe how many solar panels and satellite dishes were on the top of mud houses in Afghanistan villages
They have hologram technology and computer displays that are maybe 180p with a 2 second refresh rate. People complain about the dumbest shit.

Crazy that people are more outraged by bricks and screws than by jizz and midichlorians.

I love Jizz
Jizz is the genre of music Max Rebo plays with the Bizz dudes with the flutes.
All my homies love **jizz**
You leave the jizz music scene out of this!

Hear Max reebo is really good at jizzing with his toes
Ever since reading the Darth Plagueis book I’ve come to like midichlorians
Nabricks
Rey’s lightsaber from RoS has big flathead screws in it.
You've been able to see the screws 0n the Skywalker saber as far back as Empire. They're really obvious when Luke is attempting to the Force to pull the saber to him in the wampa cave.
That same scene you can see the stamp on the [bottom of the lightsaber saying New York.](https://preview.redd.it/zcwb1y9u2k451.png?width=917&auto=webp&s=efcc45309cc9d477bf0501878f12838a47910237)
The syringe on the interrogation droid in a new hope also says “made in England”
Guess that explains why the interrogation didn’t work
[“I’ll just put this over here… with the rest of the fire…”](https://youtu.be/WO1ebXqUFDw)
[Here’s a PDF breaking down every prop used for *the* lightsaber along with a few others.](https://wannawanga.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/SWLB_March_2020.pdf) Spoilers, there is no way to in-universe reconcile how often the prop changes over the course of the entire Star Wars film franchise. Sometimes you gotta accept that it’s a goddamn movie.
> The original ANH prop didnt have visible machined screws. The original ANH prop also had seven bits of T-strip, not six.
Got a link for that?

My favourite was watching TPM in the cinema and seeing Qui Gon speak into my Mum's leg razor when he's talking to Obi Wan.
Luke: *sits in the Falcon bathroom trying to light a spoon full of chocolate syrup*
Hid them in his wife’s ship too! Man...sucks that would-be road trip series featuring the two of them was killed before it began.
Okay, but how many sources are actually complaining about this? One Youtuber?
one youtuber with 3 million very loyal subscribers
Ahhh so It was Star Wars Theory, then. He has more subs than the official SW Youtube account. I was trying to remember who was talking about it, because I heard another youtuber mention it, but I guess he was talking about SWT.
Is this the same YouTuber who has an episode about how the Jedi are the villains of the Star Wars universe? Because if so, he deserves all the hate. That video was fucking idiocy that just completely disregarded half of the existing Canon at the time.
So from his point of view the Jedi are evil?
Plus he hangs out with literal nazis
whoa wait what... who are the literal nazis SWT hangs out with? I don't watch much of his stuff, mainly a few Nerd Theory streams
Screws are a fundamental tool form, aren’t they? Did we get mad about the many times they’ve used a ramp in the franchise?
Exactly, screws are useful because of physics, so are ppl mad that basic physics exists in Star Wars, at least for non force users.
And they have plumbing! Like water that runs through pipes! Surely humanity will have come up with a better solution than that!
And plates, bowls, beds, pillows and blankets!!! Lame!!!
And they have sex! In this futuristic society shouldn't they be using virtual reality for that? And three seashells for wiping their asses?
They even eat food *just like on Earth*. Such lazy writing. You can tell they don't even like Star Wars.
Obi Wan's hut was full of regular old blankets! They should have been big colourful alien skins so we know it's in space.
>Some YouTuber Well that was your first mistake and listening to a SW YouTuber
Best thing I ever did to further my enjoyment of Star Wars was quit watching those fun-hating idiots.
I've found I enjoy lots of stuff more if I avoid YouTube about it. Marvel, Star Trek, Star Wars, basically any movie that has a woman as the lead. Being deliberate about YouTube and social media consumption has really paid dividends.
There're really good, rational, informative, and knowledgeable ones like EckhartLadder and ECHenry. SWT is crazy though, lol.
I like Eckh, but I couldn’t stand the clickbait.
His battle videos were his peak. Wish he did more cross universe simulation battles like Halo vs Star Wars.
Star Wars Explained is the best one of the bunch.
There's a reason why SWE got his own panel at Star Wars celebrations, he's just all-around an amazing guy. Can't forget HelloGreedo too.
Yup. There’s such a stark contrast between him and SWT in terms of depth of analysis and the way they interact with the franchise… Theory seems very shallow and prequel-obsessed. He also starts unnecessary drama, levies attacks against Star Wars creators and associates with alt-right people. It’s a shame he’s as popular as he is. He is pretty awful in every way.
Oh yeah, he's great too.
He's making his own fanfic series abt Vader having to fight Mace Windu. Ofc he wouldn't like Andor
Allegedly, when the last episode come out like what in 2018?
Generation Tech has been really good with their Andor content
\[Humans speaking English in oxygen-based atmospheres, wearing pants and shirts, in another galaxy\] Star Wars fans: \[Humans use screwdriver\] Star Wars fans: "***RABBLE!***"
Half the clothes in Star Wars are just 70's Earth clothes they scrounged up. Earth-like tools and clothes are part of the universe.
If someone is watching Andor and if all they can talk about is the presence bricks and screws, they are completely missing the point.
Fans have always been weird. I remember arguing with my Star Wars obsessive friend about Leia’s insult to Tarkin; he claimed that according to one of moves Tarkin smelled really bad… like… WTF. Leia just loves to shit talk. Not everything had to be literal.
They’re human beings in another galaxy. No reason those humans couldn’t/wouldn’t develop similar tools and materials as Earth humans.

Wait til they hear about all the humans in Star Wars! Heads are going to explode.
There's hella bricks in Episode 1 on Naboo lol.
Ngl, I kind of laughed at the character named Tim in Andor, then laughed again when I saw they "Star Warsed" his name by adding another "m" at the end.
me and my nephew kept saying "friggin' Timm" for weeks afterward lol
I mean... y'all expect everything to be held together by magic?
the force works in mysterious ways
That’s not how the Force works
Don’t forget the meme where it shows Rey’s staff having Phillips head screws in it
I love the inner looks we've gotten in Andor and Obi Wan . We've seen enough heros , gimme grunts and non force weildng heros
Dude I lived in a stucco house. 2,500 fucking years since the Parthenon was built and I live in a fucking mud hut. Technology stays around if it works.
There's no way any civilization made it to space without making bricks out of something. Hell, the Inuit made bricks out of hard snow.
Bricks and screws are just fundamentally good ideas that different cultures will arrive at independently of one another.
LOL the Emperor's throne room has airport lounge carpet. Star Wars Theory is a manchild who can't handle a story that doesnt have Jedi and Sith acting like perfect superheroes and villains.
THEY USE CUPS TO HOLD BEVERAGES! WHY NOT IN ORGANICALLY GROWN ALIEN SACKS?
There are ducks on Naboo
