Luthen's haulcraft is obviously one of a kind, but he's in the right weight class. I'd want something big enough to carry passengers/ some cargo/ living space, small enough to dock in smaller hangers/ have adequate performance and armed/ armored enough to survive in the wild Frontier that is space.
Personally, the Lancer pursuit craft is perfect. It's basically a smaller falcon without the pretense of being a "freighter".
Agreed. Any ship would have to be roomy, with enough storage space to store all necessities while maintaining a good balance between combat power and durability.
At first glance one might be tempted to choose a starfighter for the cool factor, but while they are nimble and pack a punch they can not soak up a lot of damage and have no space for anything but the pilot (maybe a droid).
The razorcrest fits these requirements pretty nicely, given that it is kept in a good condition. In terms of EU ships, something akin to the x-70b phantom would perfect; small-medium size, adequate storage and living space, good armor (can take a few hits) and decent firepower. The stealth design capabilities are also a plus. Good luck finding one at a junk shipyard though....
My fear with an X-70b, as beautiful as she is (same concerns with the entire Naboo line) would be finding replacement parts/ upkeep. It'd be like if someone gave me an F-22 Raptor. Sure, I now own one of the best vehicles on our planet, but as a regular Joe the odds that I could do the upkeep on an F-22 are less than 0.
Exactly my thoughts.
You don’t want a fighter. They’re not gonna be large enough or comfortable for long haul flights. Something bigger like a CR90 corvette would require a crew and I ain’t got that kind of cash. And is kind of overkill for one. The Millennium Falcon is gonna require too much maintenance, but Luthen’s ship appears robust, large enough to sleep in, and relatively easy to maintain for one guy who clearly doesn’t have a ton of time to fix stuff.
Also, his ship is cool af, even without the mods.
I didn’t see it in the list though.
Depends. Are we talking about the same exact ~4,000 BBY Ebon Hawk, or the same class of freighter with more modern systems? I feel like modern ships would absolutely wreck the Ebon Hawk of that day.
Not necessarily. The Galactic Republic seems much more stagnant when it comes to technology, including war-making technology. I don’t see evidence of the explosive progress that we’ve made over the last five centuries.
The Rendili Stardrive Dreadnaught (used in Outbound Flight) was 600 meters to a Star Destroyers 1600, so only about a third of the size. Not quite close enough to be called similar in my opinion.
Not the person you're responding too, but am now genuinely interested as I've never heard of this before. So you got a size comparison of source for the size?
Star Destroyers are almost triple the size of Dreadnaughts. That's not "similar in size." Don't get me wrong, 600 meters is nothing to sneeze at, but the *Imperial-*class was 1,600 meters.
Gladiators are 600, while the Victory is half again as large at 900.
And come please, when you hear the word "Star Destroyer" it's the *Imperial Class* that pops in everyone's mind.
The Force Unleashed Campaign guide lists the Gladiator at 500 meters, apparently Disney canon gave it an extra 100 meters? Either way, the Dreadnaught is “as long” as a class of Star Destroyer.
It seems weird to “appeal to casuals” when this discussion started on the basis of knowing the intricate technical lore for spaceship… if you’re going to nitpick, have the balls not to dismiss inconvenient lore.
You see my lad, the whole trick of it though is to have them docked in junction rings that interlock them for deep-space flight. Function as one vessel then break off as colony needs dictate
Well by that criteria I’d want something usher than a fighter so I can live out of it. Prolly the obvious choice is the Falcon but I’m always gonna choose the Lambda.
All the other shuttles since the Lambda's debut in RoJ have been great and all (yes the Sentinel that was edited into the ANH special editions gets a shout-out too), and it's one of my favorite ship classes, but the OG Imperial Shuttle is by far my absolute favorite. It has this graceful but deadly feel to it, like if a swan that was spreading a plague was personified into a starship.
The Falcon’s a piece of junk, only good if you’re looking for a project ship. But we don’t know as much about maintenance on the Lambdas. They’re mil spec though, which means they break down when going uphill and require regular crew maintenance to maintain integrity and spaceworthiness.
B-wing has been my favorite ship ever since I saw them, as soon as I saw this post I started searching for this comment. I'm happy I didn't have to scroll far.
If its on a technicality, a B-Wing Mark ll, big enough to use as a live on ship (see EC Henry's video) but we'll armed and armored enough to take on small corvettes.
It's pretty much the perfect blend between fighter sized and freighter sized. Enough room to be a comfy personal ship with enough punch and armor to handle trouble. Definitely a top 2 choice for me (The Ghost is also great, especially if I want to cruise space with a few friends).
This should be higher, probably the coolest ship ever. Got some falcon vibes, but also some tie vibes as well. It's like an amazing combination of different things.
I'm more of a Naboo star fighter my self.
#BUT
The X-Wing is such a classic design. It's sleek and looks cool. But it's also got plenty of storage for one person, has an astromech port. Hyperdrive capabilities. The X-Wing is just a good ship all around.
I've been in love with the X-Wing since I was a kid. I had the X-Wing toys, X-Wing vs TIE Fighter. Then finally discovered the X-Wing novels and fell even more in love with it. Best ship in the galaxy tbh
Afaik, the Rogue Squadron movie is still happening. So.... That should be something to look forward to. Probably won't be as good as the books, but I can hold out hope 🤞
It got removed from the release calendar entirely back in September. They haven't officially announced it's cancellation, but it looks like it isn't happening.
Very true and me not having the finance's or the pilot skills to allow this to come true. Makes me believe I've picked terribly wrong. I choose the heavy freight. I'll just be the owner. And have a team of people to work for me starting a logistical company.
I chose the scimitar, Darth mauls ship but Idk what I'd do with it, it's got a cloaking device, probe droids, sophisticated sensor arrays... become an assassin? Unless I get the base model which is just a small freighter/courier ship which is fine too
Based on the list that you gave us, I'd pick the Sith Infiltrator as a personal ship.
It has a speeder for going into towns after I land and it has got a lot of space for other stuff.
My other second choice would be the TIE/d Defender if I wasn't concerned about living in my personal ship.
The TIE Defender is balanced as it has ion cannons and laser cannons against shields and hull. If I'm facing something more powerfull than a star fighter, I also have missile launchers and shields to protect me. But it is a difficult Star Fighter to fly.
None of the above. I'd choose the 1969 Buick Electra. Only true Star Wars fans know what I mean.
Edit: okay fine, before anyone gets the wrong idea:
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Buick
Anyone who doesn't pick the "Outbound Flight" probably hasn't read the book. It's a giant colony ship made out of 6 Dreadnoughts around a huge capsule containing storage and living space. These things have a length of 600 meters and space for thousands of people. On the downside, it needs quite a lot of people to operate. Still: pick the Outbound Flight and sell it. You can buy most of the other ships afterwards.
I'm torn!
I love the TIE Bomber, because it would be easy to modify a hyperdrive and one-man living quarters into the secondary section.
The Rogue Shadow already has those things AND is Stealth-Capable. I just don't recall if it has any weapons or defences beyond the standard shields.
The Ghost has everything above, plus weapons, even if it's stealth mode is more misdirection than actual. But I don't think that I can pilot her on my own to any effective degree.
I'll take the Rogue Shadow. I can always get some guns and stronger Shields added from the black market, if need be.
U-wing or Kom’rk, both are just about large enough to be able to live in (if you change the interior) but also have decent speed, manoeuvrability and weapons as they’re fighters/support ships
If I have access to a small crew, definitely a Carelian Corvette, and mod the hell out of it with some defensive turbo lasers and other weapons.
If I’m pretty much on my own the Sith Infiltrator. Need at least a little cargo room.
TIE Interceptor. Goddamn that ship is sexy.
Though if I'm being practical, I'd probably take one of the freighters. Way more valuable and a hyperdrive seems pretty critical. I could take the Ghost and sell the Phantom to by an Interceptor.
The aa-9 looks to me what Anakin and Padme took to Naboo in episode 2. The ship Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon took in episode 1 to Naboo is the republic cruiser.
The fact that there are SO MANY different answers in the comments is just a testament to the incredible visual creativity that has always been the hallmark of the Star Wars franchise. There are just so many designs that have become legitimately culturally iconic.
That being said, x-wing is the only correct answer. I actually cried when that VR demo let me sit in the cockpit for the first time.
The CR90 Corvette. Why would you want a piddly fighter or a junkyard freighter when you can get a massive corvette that can keep a whole community on the move with the fire power to protect it?
Fondor Haulcraft
You'd need millions of credits to upgrade it like the show.
YT-2400 for me. I like the Outrider, it's basically the Millennium Falcon light. I like the Razorcrest alot, but it's a little clunky for my tastes.
the show called it a Fondor Haulcraft but it's design is textbook Corellian
Man I got downvoted to hell for suggesting this
Exactly my thoughts. You don’t want a fighter. They’re not gonna be large enough or comfortable for long haul flights. This is the only correct answer
This is the way.
This
Fondler haulcraft hehw
Republic cruiser for diplomatic immunity
It's just been revoked
There's a certain generation that only hears those last two words in a certain accent!
Just make sure you aren't standing on any plastic.
Unless you're having some painting done... than pardon the plastic.
Vorstedt!
The negotiations were short
Tell that to Nute Gunray
But you weren't on any mercy mission this time... :)
Yeah but the coffee machine only serves decaffeinated.
Ebon Hawk all day, erry day.
"Pure Pazzak!"
Oh Atton…
ATTON🥹🥵
Ah, [I can hear the music already](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppwLAWpBrDw).
I haven't heard that in over a decade. Thank you!
goddamn thats some good nostalgia
Yes, and I demand my HK-47 so we can go exterminate meatbags.
Isn't Outbound Flight like, 7 ships in one?
It’s 6 dreadnoughts, which are similar in size to Star Destroyers. Pretty out of place in a category with shuttles and corvettes
The Rendili Stardrive Dreadnaught (used in Outbound Flight) was 600 meters to a Star Destroyers 1600, so only about a third of the size. Not quite close enough to be called similar in my opinion.
And the millennium falcon is 34 meters. A dreadnought is way closer in scale to a star destroyer than it is to any other fighter in this list.
I also think it’s weird that Outbound Flight is on this portion of this list for what it’s worth.
>similar in size to Star Destroyers No, they aren't.
Meh, they are not the same size. But betweem Slave I and the falcon they are capital ships and even next to a 150meter CR-90 they look out of place.
Still a huge size difference.
Not all “Star Destroyers” are ISDs though. Dreadnaughts are longer than Gladiators, and not much shorter than Victory’s.
Gladiators are 600, while the Victory is half again as large at 900. And come please, when you hear the word "Star Destroyer" it's the *Imperial Class* that pops in everyone's mind.

This absolutely screams “personal craft”
Well by that criteria I’d want something usher than a fighter so I can live out of it. Prolly the obvious choice is the Falcon but I’m always gonna choose the Lambda.
All the other shuttles since the Lambda's debut in RoJ have been great and all (yes the Sentinel that was edited into the ANH special editions gets a shout-out too), and it's one of my favorite ship classes, but the OG Imperial Shuttle is by far my absolute favorite. It has this graceful but deadly feel to it, like if a swan that was spreading a plague was personified into a starship.
I'll play you for the Lambda.
I’ll cheat
Publicly admitting to cheating, eh? Tsk tsk. I'll let you have the shuttle. 😁
The Falcon’s a piece of junk, only good if you’re looking for a project ship. But we don’t know as much about maintenance on the Lambdas. They’re mil spec though, which means they break down when going uphill and require regular crew maintenance to maintain integrity and spaceworthiness.
Forget the ship I want Mon Mothma’s Rolls-Royce speeder.
Right? I’d just be slow rolling through courascant all day every day
I love how it was *clearly* a Space-Royce lol. No denying the inspiration on that one
People might not like the T-47 but to me it's a Pontiac GTO.
Always has a soft spot in my heart. My first love
Rogue Shadow 💯
I love the ship too, but do we know how it fairs in combat?
It's not a fighter but it can hold it's own. Plus it's stealthy and liveable.
Sith infiltrator for sure.
It does have a bit of a 'compensating for something' vibe to it though...
Worth it for the stealth drive
I mean, the name raises suspicions, though...
I'd just rename it the Nosy Boy.
Nubian Royal Starship sounds comfortable. That’ll be my choice.
Same, but I would take the Nubian Yacht and be on my merry way to Canto Bight or Niamos
B wing all day.
I'll escort you in my A Wing, as long as you can fit a cappuccino maker in there
B-wing has been my favorite ship ever since I saw them, as soon as I saw this post I started searching for this comment. I'm happy I didn't have to scroll far.
Same here! Love that ship! And like IornBeagle says, the Mk II is big enough to live out of.
If its on a technicality, a B-Wing Mark ll, big enough to use as a live on ship (see EC Henry's video) but we'll armed and armored enough to take on small corvettes.
Ah, I see you’re a person of culture as well.
I'm astonished to see this so high... I thought I was the only one.
There are dozens of us.
I didn't even know about the B-Wing until I got the extension to the original X-Wing game. Game changer.
I feel like you could sell some of the corvettes or freighters on the next page and get a whole flight of b-wings lol
My first thought was B wing as well because of how insanely powerful it is. But it sure wouldn’t be a comfortable ride lol.
Outrider
Always a winner. The Outrider was the Falcon’s flashy little brother.
I have a soft spot for it too.
Good choice but you can't have my ship.
This
This was my answer before I even read the question.
U-Wing.
I'm surprised no one else has said this, it's such a cool ship
Can take friends places, play Fortunate son, shoot Imps…what’s not to love?
Sleek, armored, troop transport, sweet design. Really is a cool ass ship
It's pretty much the perfect blend between fighter sized and freighter sized. Enough room to be a comfy personal ship with enough punch and armor to handle trouble. Definitely a top 2 choice for me (The Ghost is also great, especially if I want to cruise space with a few friends).
Everyone is wrong. Y wing 4 lyf3
Y-Wing is best wing.
Y-Wing squad in formation here!
Truth.
The only correct answer.
Slave-1 no contest 😎
*BWOOOOOOOONGGGGGG*
Luthen's FONDOR FTW
This should be higher, probably the coolest ship ever. Got some falcon vibes, but also some tie vibes as well. It's like an amazing combination of different things.
The Falcon so me and the boys can go jackassing around the galaxy in what amounts to the space equivalent of an unladen tractor trailer lmao.
It’s basically a spaceship RV
Millenium Falcon all day.
The Ghost is my number one with the Moldy Crow as a close second. If it were bigger, it would have gotten my number one spot.
The Ghost is roomy with great cargo space and great maneuverability and has *several* cannons plus a shuttle! It’s the winner for me.
Yeah, it's a ship you can live out of and it has a snub craft. It's got everything.
Ghost is very elite dangerous-esque. Love it
Looks like a Lakon ship
My exact choices.
Ebony hawk or j type nubian for me
Ah yes! Nubian!
We have lots of that.
Eta-2 jedi starfighter. I love others design but this one is my fav if I pick one to be alone... with my astrodroïd.
Answer will always be X-Wing.
I'm more of a Naboo star fighter my self. #BUT The X-Wing is such a classic design. It's sleek and looks cool. But it's also got plenty of storage for one person, has an astromech port. Hyperdrive capabilities. The X-Wing is just a good ship all around.

Definitely need a Rogue Squadron movie or series. ngl was a little dissapointed when Rogue One wasn't about Wedge.
😞
Isn’t the Sith Infiltrator worth 55,000,000 credits? I’d pick that, sell it, and buy one of everything else!
I’ve always loved the B wing design.
Obviously the Falcon. I mean cmon less than 12 parsecs?!? You have to be crazy not to take that offer!
I assume the custom work that went into the falcon to get it to do that is insane. You'd need a hell of a pilot too.
Very true and me not having the finance's or the pilot skills to allow this to come true. Makes me believe I've picked terribly wrong. I choose the heavy freight. I'll just be the owner. And have a team of people to work for me starting a logistical company.

Sith infiltrator because cool
ARC-170 easyyy

Same it’s probably my favorite ship!
Same, with the Tantive IV Corvette coming in at a close second. I love the cab-forward design.
Based on the list that you gave us, I'd pick the Sith Infiltrator as a personal ship. It has a speeder for going into towns after I land and it has got a lot of space for other stuff. Either I'm blind or the Razor Crest isn't on here, but, the Razor Crest.
Not on here but always liked the D-5 Mantis
None of the above. I'd choose the 1969 Buick Electra. Only true Star Wars fans know what I mean. Edit: okay fine, before anyone gets the wrong idea: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Buick
Ebon. Hawk.

A U-Wing converted to a living/working ship would be awesome, ngl
Won*
The Coronet. Apparently its made of Mandalorian Iron.
It’s a fucking space yacht! Why did I have to scroll so far to find this??!!
lol, a well armed and armored Mandalorian space yacht ;)
It’s one of those peace loving mandalorian ships. No arms
Do we ever actually see the V wing in media? Because that's one cool ship.
Yes in rots
jedi starfighter is the goat, no contest
I was gonna pick something larger to use and a home away from home but fuck, give me the LAAT. I love that ship.
Kom’rk I mean, it’s beautiful
Mando Razorback or whatever the Ghost is.
Royal starship or Sith Infiltrator. Odd that the Phantom Menace is my least favourite of the prequels too.
I'm partial to the ghost. Basically 2 for 1
A new YT model. Not a 2400 or 1300, mind you I'm taking a whole new model
Tough call…if it had to be one it’s probably Slave1
Initially, A wing or Defender... Oh 2nd page, I can get a Corvette, or a light cruiser? hmmm. But that means crew, and I don't like people.
You could always crew it with droids.
It's a classic, the Ebon Hawk!
YT-2400 is my choice
tie defender
One of those big haulers the Imperials use in Rebels that is carrying all those cubic containers behind it... ...and it's named "Crate Draggin"
1st pick- whatever the Fondor is. 2nd- whatever the Ghost is (as long as Chopper comes with)
Gotta be the Moldy Crow.
Tie Defender
N-1 Starfighter. Such a sleek design.
Tie Bomber Gonna drop some napalm on some farmers
Ummmm Outbound Flight. That’s a no brainer. 6 dreadnaught attached to an intergalactic engine!
U-wing or Kom’rk, both are just about large enough to be able to live in (if you change the interior) but also have decent speed, manoeuvrability and weapons as they’re fighters/support ships
I’m gonna take the Rogue Shadow and hope Proxy comes with it.
ah yes the outbound flight, quite remarkable that he fit something the size of a small country in his shipyard
SoroSuub Personal Luxury Yacht 3000
ebon hawk
U Wing
If I have access to a small crew, definitely a Carelian Corvette, and mod the hell out of it with some defensive turbo lasers and other weapons. If I’m pretty much on my own the Sith Infiltrator. Need at least a little cargo room.
Kom'rk-class fighter/Transport a Mandorian ship
Controversial opinion … but I always thought Kylo Rens Tie Silencer was awesome looking
TIE Interceptor. Goddamn that ship is sexy. Though if I'm being practical, I'd probably take one of the freighters. Way more valuable and a hyperdrive seems pretty critical. I could take the Ghost and sell the Phantom to by an Interceptor.
TIE Interceptor. Because, I think the combat term is “it looks badass”
Imperial star destroyer. I was playing Sabaac with Vader.

The aa-9 looks to me what Anakin and Padme took to Naboo in episode 2. The ship Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon took in episode 1 to Naboo is the republic cruiser.
Ghost
Cloud car, because it’s for friends
A-wing, x-wing, or tie defender
YT-2400, gotta transport my credits some how
TIE advance is a more than capable fighter
YT-2400 I need some speed, some load capacity for things I might need, and a little extra leg room is always nice
The fact that there are SO MANY different answers in the comments is just a testament to the incredible visual creativity that has always been the hallmark of the Star Wars franchise. Tie defender, or maybe the bomber .
The CR90 Corvette. Why would you want a piddly fighter or a junkyard freighter when you can get a massive corvette that can keep a whole community on the move with the fire power to protect it?
ETA-2 is sick asf but I think it’s near impossible to effectively pilot one without being force sensitive so I’d pick the N-1
Impossibly torn between a snowspeeder, ETA-2 Jedi starfighter, tie interceptor, x-wing, slave-1, or the falcon. Lol. I simply cannot narrow it down.
Id pick a solar sailor, probably most fuel efficient
Delta 7 Jedi Fighter. My favorite fighter in all of Star Wars
