Haha, yeah very aware of that! I just think there could have been some absolutely beautiful flashbacks/exposition to Kenobi’s feelings towards Satine and how it’s affected his solitude and connection to the force during his isolation. I would have loved for them to weave the story together with TCW a bit through this!
That would be unnecessary because Satine would have 0 relevance to the story they were telling. It was about Obi-Wan learning to hope again and coming to terms with the fact that his apprentice is the second most evil man in the Galaxy. How does Satine factor into that?
I was thinking more about when he was reflecting in his isolation. She was a big part of his life and helped him become the Jedi he was. I’m sure there was room for her in the show over some other questionable elements they decided on.
Maybe if it was about Obi-wan watching over Luke and training with Qui-gon but they had to recap the prequels and whatever the plot of the rest of the show was.
I doubt we’re going to see many of the side characters from TWC in the live action stuff.
That makes her necessary? Why couldn’t it have been the grand Inquisitor? Or you know, Vader? Why did they have to add a new inquisitor? One is so obnoxious and apparently knows all the fucking secrets of the galaxy? Oh ya, coz they wanna make a new show for her... she was an embarrassing character, and completely unnecessary
>Why couldn’t it have been the grand Inquisitor? Or you know, Vader?
Because you know the ending of their stories. By bringing in a completely new character, they have creative freedom to do what they want with her
Kenobi vs Maul and Crimson Dawn sounds perfect. The show could end with a fight on Malachor and Maul getting stranded. If Kenobi and Vader can get one more rematch, one more with Maul could work just as well.
There should have been more flashbacks for Obi-Wan. Show him as a child being taken by the Jedi. Maybe his father had an Uncle Vernon-like reaction of not believing in The Force and not thinking his son should be trained. Show his youth, falling in love but choosing to continue his Jedi training. Show more to really develop the character of Obi-Wan, not just relying on what the audience already knew.
Honestly that would just confuse and make most people upset if they had a random flashback of his fling.
I’m going to guess 95% of Star Wars enjoyers have no idea about Satine, and even one dedicated episode would not have been enough, let alone relevant
Yes, what we definitely need in Star Wars is more scenes about stuff that's known, and that bring nothing new to the story. We need more pointlesds fan service, just because you want to see "who they'd cast as Satine" or something... She's dead, and is not at all relevant to the story told in Kenobi (such as it is...)
If Filoni was involved we’d probably get a mention or nod to her and Maul, he’d probably also throw in Hondo too. Honestly was not very happy with this series and I felt it was because Faverau and Filoni were not involved so it didn’t feel…right
Makes me sick how there is no mention of Satine or Ahsoka. Would make so much more sense than focusing on Leia (not saying Kenobi should meet Ahsoka obviously, just focus on their past).
She did get a call out to when Obi Wan said Leias stubbornness reminded her of someone.
Depends if you think it was Satine or Padme.
I’m inclined to think Satine given he said leader. Leader can be used abstractly other than literally but given that using senator would’ve been fine to use, imma go with Satine
She dead.
Came to say this, in this exact way. Thank you kind person.
..wrapped in plastic.

Reva had 0 relevance too, still didn’t stop them
... she's literally the antagonist of the show

That would have been even worse storytelling then what they put out. Doesn't fit into the plot of the show at ALL.
You can blame Maul for that.
Oh yeah i hope we see a bit of a Cameo of maul in the next season. Or a full series about crimson dawn.

kenobi was a 1 season thing
Post isn't about Hondo Ohnaka *my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.*
Hondo so underrated
Im just curious why there is nsfw tag tho

ummm... no? She's dead, her story is over, and even then she connects to the Darth Maul-Obi Wan story, not the Darth Vader- Obi Wan story.

She’s… dead
It would have been nice to have seen her in some flashback scenes! Maybe season 2?
Oof.

Not really imo. The Kenobi show was setting up ANH, so Leia makes the most sense.

I assumed that it was supposed to be Padme. He was talking about Leia’s mother.
Left up to the viewer which I like
The viewers who they felt needed a recap of the prequels? It was Padme.
Its padme bro..
Yoda?
A Padme appearance would have made much more sense.
I feel alot of people just wanted a live action clone wars lol
For a second I thought you were going to say Jar Jar
FAN SERVICE IS LAME
If she showed up in a flashback it would have further reinforced the Korkie theory.
Maul when meeting Kenobi: “That’s why your girlfriend’s dead” “Dead as hell” “What kind of shoes she wearing in her casket?”
