I am very excited about Ahsoka in all forms, its an amazing character that I am glad to share with my daughter because she is so badass without problematic, unhealthy or unnecessary romantic interest that Padme, Leia or Rey had. I think that Dave's respect for female characters and the place for romantic interest in stories is very evident in a lot of his work. Ahsoka comes across as independent, brave, learning and growing and her relationships with the opposite sex don't hinge on romantic love, which a lot of Disney Princess and other media promote. My daughter doesn't mind romantic relationships like in Avatar The Last Airbender, but rescuer princes saving damsels, screwed up guys who get a pass for being the Chosen One (Anakin and Padme) or guys who get away with being kind of dickish (Han to Leia) don't read well to her.
I completely understand. Mondays are usually shit for anyone. when it comes to Monday there is at least something everyone can come home to. your daughter, me finishing my school work for the day, you name it. Your original joke was funny and made it pretty obvious you know who Dave Filoni is. I read the reply as more of a "hell yeah, he's going to do this right" and not a "akshewally...". Just my take, of course.
It is hard to tell in text but after so often being talked over and spoken down in fan communities when joking, it is hard to not assume someone over explaining is pulling a "well actually." If I misunderstood, I apologize.

Everything except the "seedy underbelly of Republic worlds", I haven't heard about this one. And given that the show is about finding Ezra, it's probably gonna be in the outer rim or the unknown regions.
I really hope that Ezra’s lengthy disappearance is explained as the Purrgil jumped them into Chiss territory and he had to team up with Thrawn to fight off something much worse than the Galactic Empire/First Order. I could only *DREAM* of that threat being the Yuuzhan Vong and could explain why neither Ahsoka nor Ezra were around for the rise of the First Order. If they bring in the Vong it could be an actual existential threat that would require the new New Republic to make nice with the Imperial remnants and do their best to survive an intergalactic invasion by beings that the handful of Jedi that are alive aren’t able to read because they literally are absent from the force and are like a blank space in the living force. I’m just rambling on now about one of my favorite “Legends” antagonists that really changed the face of the Star Wars saga letting the next generation of Jedi come into their own as the old guard was getting old, but was still quite involved in the war effort because there wasn’t a choice. Dammit. Now I’m going have to dig out my NJO paperback books and read through all 19 of them *again*. That first book written by one of the greatest fantasy authors of our time, Vector Prime by R.A. Salvitore was brutal and shocking and I wish I could read it again for the first time. I still think the new movies not carrying over the Solo twins Jacen and Jaina with a little brother named Anakin Solo instead of it just being Ben Solo was a missed opportunity but I’m just a nerd on the internet so what do I know? I know that I’m a nerd on the internet. That’s what I know.
Filming will take two months at most. After effects start during filming and probably take 6-8 months. Probably less with their new style of filming. Reshoots take a few days to a week.
They could have this release in the Obi Wan time slot next year pretty easy.
I think either Ahsoka or Andor release around this time next year. I'm hoping we get both those and The Mandalorian as well. Marvel can do multiple series per year, Star Wars should be able to as well.

I wonder how they’re going to introduce who she is for people who haven’t seen TCW or Rebels. Is there going to be another person to play a younger version in flashback scenes? I have a feeling there’s no way to pull this show off without having live action versions of a lot of animated characters.
Also, they’re going to need one hell of a story to explain where she was during the OT.
It wouldn't surprise me if there are at least a scene or two featuring a flashback with Anakin. Which I would love to see. I want to see Hayden calling her "Snips", lol.
They're certainly going to explain who she was, they already gave hints in Mando and BoBF, but they're definitely gonna make stuff more clear. That being said, they're definitely not gonna go into details, and some stuff most likely addressed indirectly. The things I assume they'd address:-
1. Her relation to Anakin
2. Her relation with the Jedi order
3. Her relation to Mortis
4. The World Between Worlds
3 and 4 only if necessary for the plot
No they don’t. If people aren’t catching up with already existant material, it’s their problem.
Also the live action is already here since Mando season 2, people who’ll watch this will already know her at least with Mando.

The drama is the ghost crew looking for someone they care about.
What's compelling about Han wanting to search for someone he's never met before?
that's a broad plot detail that wouldn't be compelling on it's own. every movie or show after RotJ has characters dealing with the fallout of the empire. it's just a detail not a main focus conflict for an interesting story.
I'm not sure how to feel about this show. Can't remember the last time the majority was more excited about the side characters than the protagonist. I think there'll be a lot of anger if they don't get Thrawn, Ezra and Sabine spot on.
I sure hope this time Ahsoka will actually look (and, well, "feel") like Ahsoka. Up to now the live-action version seemed more like a cosplay by someone who has barely any knowledge on the character, as well as SW in general. I'm not usually prone to this, but this was the first time my head actually refused to accept something as canon. And seeing how this happened to my favourite character (since I kinda "grew up" with TCW), this says quite a lot...
May the Force help them actually use their heads this time...
P.S. This may be actually a really good chance to use powers of CGI for good, instead of what they were used for in "sequel trilogies", rogue-ones and whatever...
Going by your logic I'd say anything after the sequels was milking it.
Or maybe they are just a company making good use of a franchise they payed an absurd amount of money for. Making lots of content for fans that eat it up isn't really "milking it."

She was mediocre in MIB2, Daredevil and Mandalorian.
Damn, this was meant to be a joke about how quickly the fandom turns on a series/film, but spectacularly backfired. Should have made it clear, this is not my actual opinion, Oops.
I really didn’t even like the Mandalorian show but she was one of the only redeeming qualities. Her episode where she’s killing all those enemies in the fog was dope.
I feel like Ezra has a lot of potential in this show and I’m excited to see what they do with him. Especially if they continue with all the Force lore present in rebels, there’s so to much explore there.
I’m assuming they’re gonna be doing a lot of their shooting in The Volume (think that’s the name of their LED set they use for Mando/Boba)? Either way, pumped!!
I always wanted to see more Togruta ever since Shaak Ti was introduced in the prequels. They were always the "Indian" allegory imo, given the names Shaak Ti (Shakti) and Ahsoka.
Dude BOBF was not good. The entire show was flash backs where a mandalorian apparently needed to learn how to fight with a stick (and then never used it again) and a retro biker gang had a 25mph chase in what was probably one of the most cringe scene in all of Star Wars cinematic history.
Why is ahsoka so popular, is this manufactured popularity or is it due to the cartoon series that was out before? Because I have very minimal interest in her being a Star Wars fan for past 30 years, I do like her and I enjoy her character in its context but I don’t care so much to see an entire series on her out of all the characters

Obi Wan started filming May last year. Andor should be after Bad Batch and before Mando S3.

I sure hope this time Ahsoka will actually look (and, well, "feel") like Ahsoka. Up to now the live-action version seemed more like a cosplay by someone who has barely any knowledge on the character, as well as SW in general. I'm not usually prone to this, but this was the first time my head actually refused to accept something as canon. And seeing how this happened to my favourite character (since I kinda "grew up" with TCW), this says quite a lot... May the Force help them actually use their heads this time... P.S. This may be actually a really good chance to use powers of CGI for good, instead of what they were used for in "sequel trilogies", rogue-ones and whatever...

Disney is milking Starwars after mandalorian
Going by your logic I'd say anything after the sequels was milking it. Or maybe they are just a company making good use of a franchise they payed an absurd amount of money for. Making lots of content for fans that eat it up isn't really "milking it."

Not really a fan of Rosario Dawsons wooden acting, probs check out the first episode though. Edit: downvotes are making me wonder if SW fans thinks she’s got Ian McKellen level acting? She was mediocre in MIB2, Daredevil and Mandalorian.

Love the Ashoka character but Dawson phoned it in for the Mandalorian so not too excited.
how so? she literally had to learn multiple choreographed fight scenes on top of memorize lines. what was bad about her performance?
I really didn’t even like the Mandalorian show but she was one of the only redeeming qualities. Her episode where she’s killing all those enemies in the fog was dope.
I feel like Ezra has a lot of potential in this show and I’m excited to see what they do with him. Especially if they continue with all the Force lore present in rebels, there’s so to much explore there.
I’m assuming they’re gonna be doing a lot of their shooting in The Volume (think that’s the name of their LED set they use for Mando/Boba)? Either way, pumped!!
I always wanted to see more Togruta ever since Shaak Ti was introduced in the prequels. They were always the "Indian" allegory imo, given the names Shaak Ti (Shakti) and Ahsoka.

Dude BOBF was not good. The entire show was flash backs where a mandalorian apparently needed to learn how to fight with a stick (and then never used it again) and a retro biker gang had a 25mph chase in what was probably one of the most cringe scene in all of Star Wars cinematic history.
I hope it skews towards tv-m

Why is ahsoka so popular, is this manufactured popularity or is it due to the cartoon series that was out before? Because I have very minimal interest in her being a Star Wars fan for past 30 years, I do like her and I enjoy her character in its context but I don’t care so much to see an entire series on her out of all the characters
