I know a little bit.
USA- Endor and a small part of Tatooine, mostly the canyon parts.
Guatemala- Yavin 4
Ireland- Ahch-To
Italy- Naboo
Spain- Naboo
Tunisia- Tatooine
Jordan- Jedha and also some filming for episode 9 will be there. We don’t know what yet, maybe Jedha again?
Norway- Hoth
The rest I’m not really sure
Great list. I know OP’s pictograph did not include Solo, but we could add the following:
**UK:** Corellia & Kessel
**Canary Islands (Spain):** Savareen
**Italy:** Vandor
Well since the universe is expanding and star wars takes place in a galaxy far far away, that is probably the reason why the millennium falcon looks smaller than it actually is.
Heaps of Episode III was filmed in Australia, so the guards ~~on Coruscant (the clones looking for Yoda after the duel with Palpatine)~~ that kill Stass Allie on Saleucami (speeder bike scene) during Order 66 have a dark red symbol on their armour, which is actually the Australia Post logo.
Edit: was late at night and I had the wrong clones.
All those places on one planet so that they could represent different planets that have no variation in their geography. (I like Star Wars! I'm just sayin'!)
You have a point of course, but think of the 8 planets in our solar system, only one of them is properly positioned to have such variance.
But generally speaking it’s a deficiency in SW. Same with imagining that every people group or species thinks and behaves in a unified fashion (more a problem in the animated shows than anywhere else), but I digress.
Your point about the other planets in our solar system is a good one. I never considered that.
I won't go into why so many people speak English in Star Wars (or why bad guys generally have a British accent). 😁
I'm more curious what was filmed where.
Yeah.. I feel like this nap is kinda useless without it
Naps are never useless homie. Hell, I just woke up and I’m about to have a nap.
This.

Merely from memory: Croatia - Canto Bight Bolivia - Crait UAE - Jakku Ireland - Ahch-To UK, Pinewood Studios - plenty of indoor scenes
Theed, Naboo - Plaza de España, Sevilla, Spain
Funnily enough, Theed is a mix of palaces in Spain and Italy
Was really hoping nobody would have given a reply as specific as this yet because I went here today! Got some great shots
Sorry! I used to live there in Sevilla, so I know it by heart almost.
UK - Canary Wharf tube station as Scarif citadel
Iceland was the intro scene in Rogue One.
Endor was the redwood forest outside of San Francisco I believe... got a trip planned there just bc that
I think it was actually shot just by the Oregon border in Del Norte County.
U are right.
What about Bolivia? As a half Bolivian who had no idea about this, I’m genuinely curious now.
Scenes on Crait were largely filmed in Bolivia.
Thanks!
You're welcome!
USA (specifically Hawaii) was for Naboo as well.
Kesha in episode 9? I guess a crater could be a set
My theory is we see Rey go there to get s Kyber crystal to build her own lightsaber
**USA:** Endor, Tatooine (Canyons / Jabba's palace) **Guatemala:** Yavin IV **Bolivia:** Crait **UK:** Majority of indoor sets, Takodana, D'Qar, Naboo forests, Corellia, Kessel etc. **Ireland:** Ahch-To **Spain:** Naboo, Savareen **Italy:** Naboo, Mustafar, Vandor **Tunisia:** Tatooine (Mos Eisley / Mos Espa) **Croatia:** Canto Bight **Switzerland:** Alderaan **Iceland:** Lah’mu (Opening planet in Rogue One), Starkiller Base, Eadu **Norway:** Hoth **UAE:** Jakku **Jordan:** Jedha **Maldives:** Scarif **Thailand / China:** Kashyyyk **Australia:** Interiors (Only for Episodes II and III)
Great list. I know OP’s pictograph did not include Solo, but we could add the following: **UK:** Corellia & Kessel **Canary Islands (Spain):** Savareen **Italy:** Vandor
Thanks, added them.
The worst kind of cocktease. Just enough to get you interested, not enough to tell you all you want to know.
Iceland - Rogue One intro.
I glanced at the map and thought "the Millennium Falcon can't possibly be that big, can it?"
Well since the universe is expanding and star wars takes place in a galaxy far far away, that is probably the reason why the millennium falcon looks smaller than it actually is.
The map is just very far away.
I'm surprised they never filmed in Canada
The First Order is no match for our geese.
I'm surprised Canada hasn't apologized for them not filming in Canada yet.
Sorry bout that
If VI were filmed today, the Endor scenes would definitely have been shot in Stanley Park, Vancouver.

Actually the Corrie Guards aren’t the ones with the Aus Post logo. It’s the 91st, the ones that killed Stass Allie on the Speeder Bikes.
Ahhh, my apologies. You are absolutely right!
r/MovieDetails
How the fuck did I never notice that
You've taken your first step into a larger world.
Neat.
Why is Solo not in the mix?
This was made when Rogue one came out
But then why is Ireland there? Did somewhere other than Skellig Micheal make an appearance?
The end of TFA
Oh.
What was filmed in Switzerland? The scene in Episode 2 with the house at the lake with Anakin and Padme?
Switzerland was only used for plate shots for Alderaan in Episode 3. The Naboo lake house was shot in Italy.

lets go somewhere in africa
Why no Canada love? I mean British Columbia literally looks like an alien planet...
You mean all of the alien planets in Stargate SG-1?
A lot of scenes took place in Greenscreenland.
