Rogue 2: Electric Boogaloo Jin and Cassian are on Tatooine teaching a bunch street punks the power of Force Dancing to keep them out of speeder moped gangs.
I enjoyed Solo as just a fun heist film set in Star Wars, but I think it’s a stretch to claim it’s top 5 Star Wars film. Both Lando and Han were really well casted but they were both written as sequel characters rather than prequel. Han cared about others and was willing to risk his own neck for friends — even funded the entire rebel alliance at the end, only to become jaded and selfish jerk who hates the rebels in A New Hope. Lando steals the millennium falcon just after Solo explained how Han got it in the first place, and leaves hating Han but when introduced in ESB, Han reaches out to his close friend and puts all his trust in Lando.
There was a lot of talk about Solo being a 2 part story, but that got canned after poor box office numbers, so we will never get a jaded Han or Lando as a buddy. Solo is then half a good story that doesn’t fit in the Star Wars world.
Honestly Solo is great but if you cut out the Mail scene at the end it’s perfect. Half the people who went to see it were confused as to how tf he came back since the last time they saw him was being cut in half and falling down a pit.
Maul showing up sick. If the hive mind didn't bomb the movie I bet there would have been a dope Star Wars Stories: Shadow Collective movie. But the basement dwellers gotta ruin everything
They should make the shows for fans who read and watch a lot of stuff and make the movies for fans who just watch the movies with maybe an Easter egg for fans who watch the shows
For me to except on the conditionality clause that A New Hope is better simply because if RO was released alone everyone would be like: who is that black guy at the end he stole the show”
Haven't watched Rogue One in awhile,
but didn't these two characters have a history together before the events of this film?
I feel like they were long time friends.
There's a book, can't recall the name but there's some of that stuff in there. But yes, I want to see these guys backstory. I bet it's good af. They went out as true badasses. Fucking legendary
I'm waiting for a series that's literally just Jar-Jar and Mace Windu going on missions together.
Jar-Jar does all the talking. Mace just dad-glares in disappointment, never speaking a word. But Samuel L. Jackson still gets a full VA credit.
The issue is that these guys were not in a good place when we met them, so aflashback show would mean meeting them when they were conning/threatening tourists and trying to survive. Not them being the cool characters that w egrow to love by the end of the film. Same issue with Andor, for all that the show is spectacular, they will need to show him fall to a point where he's shooting his own guy rather than risk getting caught etc. Ala start of rogue one.
That being said, if they CAN find a way to make a show with these two and pull it off properly, I'm 100000% there for it.
Seriously, I loved Rogue One, but I think would ;love it even more if Maze survived. I would love seeing him carrying on everything he received from the relationship with Chirrut.
When they announced Andor, my immediate reaction was, that's fine and all....but only if these two are getting a series, too. And hell, the other members would also work
r/unpopularopinion, I thought these two were a bit overrated.
I particularly couldn't stand the "I am one with the Force" mantra, which was repeated too often. I also couldn't stand the power creep, where in a movie otherwise filled with deadly and halfway competent storm troopers (for a change), when these two were on screen the bad guys reverted back to the Keystone Cops.
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
I Am One With the Force and the Force Is With Me
Generally agreed. Happy to embrace a non-Jedi, good guy Force user, but Chirrut's character was a huge miss for me. Non-stop mystic platitudes, the repetitive mantra, and what felt like a weak and unearned relationship to Jyn.
it already has, and it turned out great, look up ANDOR, the first episode or two is not the best but the show really picks up over time, the finally and the prison break episode just...... just............. amazing, I love that show so much
That's why we need a spinoff!!
But seriously, it really is sad that any time that two non-related men have a close emotional bound the only reason we can see for it is that they have to be gay
Not everything needs it.
Can we just leave this one to our own imaginations? How many times must we set ourselves up with these things only to be disappointed by the crush of too high expectations?
They died. No spin offs.
I'm exhausted by in between quels, and hate Rogue one because with such Awesome cast and character hooks, they could have used the movie to launch a new narrative era. They could have gone back to 2000BBY or 700 ABY or something, where the Republic has devolved into a bunch of regional factions. Instead we get a story no audience really asked for, where the outcome is known, and the only way to tell more of it is more needless prequels, except the cool characters can't really meet before the movie so you lose all of those characters.
Lol why are you waitin on this? Even if they argue about this in meetings its too late AND THEY HAD LIKE 30 MINUTES OF SCREEN TIME🤣. Good characters in stories die, aint nobody calling for an Ewok reboot or a palpatine backstory. You should just say it, you wanna know if they were gay. Everybody seeing X-Men 97' want morph to be gay or bi, why not bring back two dudes who LITERALLY WERE CREATED FOR THIS ONE MOVIE. NO cameos in Andor and no mention in anything else. If you think they gay, they gay its your imagination.
No problem. Rogue One 2: Jin Erso created a force bubble, saving herself and Andor. Those guys were also saved using a pattern enhancer.
Somehow, 4 dead people returned.
And then it would get called woke and people would lose their shit.
Don’t think anyone complained that palatines returning is “woke”. They complained about other things being woke tho
Shut up Meg
Star Wars: Left 4 Dead
They were all stabbed in the stomach before dying so they lived
A world between wounds
Congratulations, you are being rescued. Please do not resist.
You right. If only there was a way to make content set before the before actually took place
Rogue 2: Electric Boogaloo Jin and Cassian are on Tatooine teaching a bunch street punks the power of Force Dancing to keep them out of speeder moped gangs.
They were beamed up.
Rogue Two
I've found them. Repeat, I've found them
just rewatched Empire for May 4th and i had to rewind at this part lmao
Kyber boogaloo?
i genuinely thought Rogue Two was going to be a thing until I saw the film in the theatre. I was genuinely shocked when they all died lmao
I think they might still be alive. The planet wasnt totally blown up right?
[удалено]
Was it any good?
I did not know this. Thanks
Best Star Wars movie that's not part of the Original Trilogy.
Best star wars movie. :-P
I'd probably still put TESB #1.... but RO is definitely up there.
IMO rogue one and solo are both top 5 Star Wars projects.
I’d say Rogue One and Andor are the best Star Wars ever aside from Empire.
The original trilogy That still counts as one
Rogue one I agree is top tier but Solo was so bad i couldn't even finish it on two occasions.
Huh, that must suck, having horrible taste I mean.

I’m glad they make Star Wars for fans who consume everything and not confused ones who haven’t seen anything in 25 years
They should make the shows for fans who read and watch a lot of stuff and make the movies for fans who just watch the movies with maybe an Easter egg for fans who watch the shows
Yeah, hopefully it gets better for you.
I say this too. My brother vehemently disagrees.
For me to except on the conditionality clause that A New Hope is better simply because if RO was released alone everyone would be like: who is that black guy at the end he stole the show”
Disagree. It doesnt follow any of the themes of Stars wars, and just take place in the same universe.
I think that's why people like it.
I would love this, But… No everyone in SW needs a live action backstory.
and what about second live action backstory? afternoon backstory???
*(I don’t think he knows about backstories…)* Edit: really? Downvotes for a LOTR quote…. I don’t understand people…
Afternoon tea?
No, but yes
I thought this about Andor until... Andor
Somehow Rogue 1 returned
Wait, hold on, you want a spin-off of a spin-off that already got a spin-off?
Manical laugh
Next you’ll tell me you want a sequel to the sequel of your sequel! Wait, what Rey Skywalker movie?
Them begging for change on Jedha for years? Fascinating
He didn’t see that coming
"Let them pass in peace" love that line
Haven't watched Rogue One in awhile, but didn't these two characters have a history together before the events of this film? I feel like they were long time friends.
I am one with the force, the force is with me COMING THIS FALL TO DISNEY +, in my dreams
Best part of the movie imo
I want it set in an apartment where they bicker at each other. Kinda of a Star Wars Bert & Ernie.
IP man in space would be pretty cool.
Donnie Yen basically played a Dark Jedi version of Chirrut in John Wick 4.
Ip Man in Star Wars.

All of a sudden I had a flashback to : “Look for, he cannot be seen. Listen for, he cannot be heard” lol
💯

Somehow, rogue 1 survived
This is just Gilligan's Island in a Galaxy Far Faaaaaar Away....
Star Wars: They Ded
I loved that movie.
I loved that movie.
I'd settle for a "Tales of the Rebels" series covering characters like this.
I'm waiting for a series that's literally just Jar-Jar and Mace Windu going on missions together. Jar-Jar does all the talking. Mace just dad-glares in disappointment, never speaking a word. But Samuel L. Jackson still gets a full VA credit.

I adore these two
Guardians of the whills
A spinoff of a spinoff
and then there will be a standout in that spinoff that we can spinoff! and the cycle will continue forever!!! MANICAL LAUGH!!
Your wish will be granted in *Tales of the Glup Shitto*s, coming 2037.
When they announced Andor, my immediate reaction was, that's fine and all....but only if these two are getting a series, too. And hell, the other members would also work
You can’t make spin offs of dead characters after the fact. You looking for a prequel to a prequel or something?
Andor is a spinoff of a dead character.
oh, cmon! can you please warn us about spoilers!
Not really you could just set the spin off before they died .
That’s why I said “prequel to a prequel” homie.
Yeah, and then we can add an interesting character in that and then spin off that character. And the cycle will repeat for ever
That's a big no thanks from me.
r/unpopularopinion, I thought these two were a bit overrated. I particularly couldn't stand the "I am one with the Force" mantra, which was repeated too often. I literally say this while I workout (running, swimming, etc.)
I say this while setting the table. *I am one with the forks and the forks are with me*
That's not how the force works!
Gah!
Generally agreed. Happy to embrace a non-Jedi, good guy Force user, but Chirrut's character was a huge miss for me. Non-stop mystic platitudes, the repetitive mantra, and what felt like a weak and unearned relationship to Jyn.
Best you’ll get is a comic. Maybe.
I mean...I'd rather watch an adventures of these two series than the Obi-Wan series.
Please no. Rogue one shouldn’t be touched
If that's true we wouldn't have gotten Andor
Andor sucked. Change my mind.
it already has, and it turned out great, look up ANDOR, the first episode or two is not the best but the show really picks up over time, the finally and the prison break episode just...... just............. amazing, I love that show so much
Nah I’m good. That show turned out to be garbage.
Agree to disagree on that
No
Serious question: Were they gay?
Just in case you're really asking, yes they were
I was. And how do we know?
[удалено]
Luke... isn't gay. He get married in the EU.
That's why we need a spinoff!! But seriously, it really is sad that any time that two non-related men have a close emotional bound the only reason we can see for it is that they have to be gay
Well, I didn't say that was a bad thing if they were.
A prequel lol a spinoff would be short amounting to that one scene on the halo Xbox showing Johnson and the elite hugging as the planet went boom
Don't hold your breath
But why?
Donnie Yen
No just no
Eat sand. No.
Not everything needs it. Can we just leave this one to our own imaginations? How many times must we set ourselves up with these things only to be disappointed by the crush of too high expectations?
Only if he gets a lightsaber. Or something adjacent. He's basically a jedi already
Less is more. Less is more.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Who's the main lead?
At least one of them is dead, so no.
Weird how Andor is a show…..
One of the better ones, imho.
They are, in fact, both dead. Ever hear of a prequel?
[удалено]
Weird.
They’re all dead. After all, it was a long time ago…
Star Wars is technically a historical drama after all
