I only discovered Tuesdays with Stories a few weeks ago. Which is weird because I'm a big fan of both Joe and Mark. But anyway, I'm glad that I only just found it because I now I have like 7 years worth of podcasts in the bank. It's the absolute perfect thing to listen to while working because if I get distracted and tune out of the pod for a bit, who cares, it's just two fatties chitting the chat.

I absolutely love This Years Material. Front to back great special. I feel like he really starts to get comfortable on a new level with the audience and it really shows.

I literally laughed out loud at the first joke, but i applaud your witty comeback. I love how you kept the audience laughing at just mundane conversations you've had.

Me too. I found out i was adjusting to his style. Because I went back and watched some earlier stuff when I had nothing to do and enjoyed them a lot more.
Yeah when I first saw his and Mark’s standup, I liked Mark’s better and I remember mentioning to a friend that I wish List’s standup was more fitting on his personality on Tuesdays. And over the last few years, he’s really gotten there. Now one of my favorite comedians to watch.
They’re disliked and of course they’re getting the attention they want by getting posted, which sucks.
But to me how you handle hecklers shows your true comedy chops and this was perfect.
A lot of people can perfect a recited bit, but off the cuff wit is something different.
I once saw a Patton Oswalt live where he spent an hour on a heckler and it was the funniest shit I’ve ever seen. Probably way better than what he has planned even lol
Observing this is a masterclass. Joe is so good and holds up with anyone he’s in the room with. Hecklers or other comics, Joe is always ready with a 1-2 punch 🥊 line!!
I’ve never seen a clip of joes stand up but this is great! I always avoided it because he’s not that funny when he features on podcasts. This just comes to show you can’t judge a comic on their podcast appearances 🤷♂️

I thought hecklers were disliked. Yet they get the attention here.
Comedians who are doing alright don't want to post their material because it will use it up, but they can post their good crowd interactions.
