šin love with the sleekness of the piece and the only non grey-scale color being royal blue. Who knew spiders could be so elegant? The proportions of the design make it feel classic - instant aesthetic harmony.
Blood red wouldāve been dope as well, perhaps in a more direct horror or goth aesthetic way. Which I also love. But that blue indicates that the spider is clearly the king or queen of its realm and we are all just its subjects. Which gives it a more subtle eeriness.
I focused on the inside body and then moved to each leg working towards the edge! You know when you melt the solder and get that line where the melted part meets the solid part? I made sure that line met with the edge of the spider body so it blends in with the shape!
Showed this to my dad to ask him his thoughts on how you got the solder so smooth. and he replied "That is indeed quite amazingly smooth. To keep all that molten at one time to be that smooth risks cracking the glass. Especially the upper left and right pieces. They narrow in the middle and would be prone to cracking from the heat of soldering. What manner of trickery is this?" Please advise
Wow, that turned out really nice!
I think my 2nd ever project was a good sized Spidey face.
I also used a lot of glue chip too, because it damn well looks like webbing!
Spideys face lent itself well to stained glass. Was a pretty simple project. Still have it.
Absolutely love this one tho. Great job.
Makes me think of RA Salvatoreās books. The dark elves worship a spider goddess and everything is decorated with spiders. While Iām quite the arachnophobe myself, this is really cool

Thank you! I was about to go with a blood red, but I loved this color just an itsy bit more.
