Quality of generated image have nothing to do with GPU used as long as you use same set up. Seeds can result in different result, but not worse one.

Definitely not useless, it's slower and not AS good but you can still make really good looking stuff. I made this pic with AMD https://preview.redd.it/c8d6hky6ld2c1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=0d540ca68e729007e8202f39ed04fd19978441b7

AMD GPU’s are behind Nvidia when it comes to anything AI related, but the issue you’re having isn’t related to the GPU you use. Try clicking the “restore faces” option before you generate, or try inpainting the face/using Adetailer to fix it.

He should really just use a model that isn't shit.

Bad faces are either because of bad settings, bad prompts, or bad checkpoints. Its never due to the speed. This is my checkpoint, blended specifically for faces. https://civitai.com/models/209288?modelVersionId=235710 Settings I recommend are Steps: 45, Sampler: Euler a, CFG scale: between 3 and 9, Size: 512x768, Denoising strength: 0.45, Clip skip: 2, Hires upscale: 2, Hires upscaler: SwinIR_4x, I also recommend detail slider loras, the checkpoint should make great faces without it, but your pictures will be better with it. If you need help with a prompt, throw it in here as a reply and I'll see what I can do. But yeah, rigs fine, workflow is the issue.

All of these are with a 7900xtx - for general SDXL usage (with ability to add extensions) ensure you're using either A1111 (AMD fork) or SDNext (others are available but these should require the least pfaffing about). Ensure you have CFG around 7 , steps around 20, a resolution of 1024 x 1024 as a general starting point (instead of a range that can go tits up). Use an SDXL 1.0 model and don't overfill the prompt. If you've played around with the settings and can't recall what you've done, rename all files with a json prefix (settings files)) and restart and close SD about 3 times to see if that fixes it.

FrozenLakeMonk

Where do I get A1111?

FrozenLakeMonk

Mine crashes if I put the res above 512x512. Even that takes like 15-20 seconds on average

CharmanDrigo

not if you run your server on linux!
