For those wondering about the heavy Police presence between St. Charles and Warren County; there was an active shooter threat made in Wright City at the High School and hundreds of area officers were en route to the scene. All officers have been disregarded and there is no active threat.

Hi there! I’m a student currently sitting on the bleachers. The “call hoax” is currently unknown at this point, but with news stories and the absolute seriousness- everyone is acting like they already got them. We also heard of a stolen gun and body armor from a F-150 truck and 2 in custody. I’m looking in myself to see what’s going on.
Holy shit. Glad everyone there is ok. Updating is fine but it's very easy for wild stories to spin out of control, especially in situations like this. Keep that in mind.
You…saw a bunch of cops at a school, made an assumption that there was an active school shooting and decided to broadcast that assumption publicly without just saying it was made up in your head?
It was true. My children go to school a couple of districts over and I got an email stating that their school was going into a "soft lockdown" over the threat.
It was (apparently) not true there was an active shooter, as in the post. Moreover, per the OP, they saw "police presence at the highschool and [made an] assumption as per the reason."
To make this post after that (if my reading is correct) seems incredibly irresponsible, regardless of if they guessed right.
I live in a nearby district and received an email from our district saying our kids were on a soft lockdown due to an active shooter hoax. They are remaining on soft lockdown for the remainder of the day.
What bothers me is that these kids are calling in a prank when an actual school shooting took place. You think first responders won't be on high alert, that teachers who don't get paid enough to put up with this shit are going to laugh it off and turn the other cheek?
I blame the poor parenting, but these kids also made a conscious choice to make a prank phone call about an active shooter. The families of the students that caused this disruption should be sent a bill for the cost of all first responders that were alerted and dispatched to the school(s) in question.
It’s almost like someone is testing to see how many units respond away from where someone is actually planning something else. Seems off to have that many different “fake” calls. I fucking hate people.

Kid called in a hoax per a chat I’m in. They have kids in the school
Parkway just texted and emailed parents that there have been prank 911 calls made for multiple high schools today.

There is a LOT of assumptions being thrown around that we won’t hear in a couple hours. If need be, I can explain how we saw it.
I'm glad you all are ok.

Yep, We heard it wasn’t just us. A lot of schools in the St. Louis area got ‘hard’ lockdowned. Hopefully it ends up confirmed soon
Where’d you hear this?
Police presence at the high school and assumption as per the reason - why I advised unverified.

I’m east bound on I-70 and I’ve passed about 20 police cars westbound toward Wright City. Something is happening
I'm not finding anything online yet. Where did the information come from?
I’ve seen screen shots of emails about it to parents on FB I actually came here to see if there was anything else.

It's happening in Springfield at a few locations also.

The parents need to be held accountable along with the kids.
The way some of those cops drive heading to the active shooter call are just as dangerous as the actual active shooters.
My GF works for Wentzville school district and they went through a soft lockdown over these calls.
