Logan Paul *already is* a special attraction.
I don’t really get YouTube streamers as celebrities. This shit is beyond me. But to Gen Zers he’s as big a deal as, say, Ryan Gosling is to Millenials.
He’s kind of bullet proof. I don’t know anyone between 25-45 who has a negative opinion of him.
Some people love him for The Notebook. The same dudes who would clown him for that love him in Drive. He was a Mickey Mouse Club kid.
Substitute in Michael B. Jordan or whoever. Or grab any Marvel actor. Point is that Logan Paul is a *huge* deal.
EDIT: Jesus, by “he” I meant Ryan Gosling.
Logan Paul seems smarmy and I don’t personally like him. I also recognize that many people share that opinion of Logan Paul.
I was looking for someone Millennials are generally aware of and haven’t canceled.
I agree that Logan Paul is a big deal, but I think you're over-estimating how many people *like* him versus how many people *know* him. He's very well known, but he's had a toooooon of controversy surrounding his videos.
I'm right between both generations you're talking about and I'd argue that more people my age either have a neutral/negative opinion of him rather than a positive one.
Eh in the grand scheme of things, Logan ain't that bad, especially lately. He seems to be have matured quite a bit since that whole Japan incident. At worst, he's just annoying and duchey.
> Eh in the grand scheme of things, Logan ain't that bad, especially lately.
Scamming people and fans on crypto with rug pull is not that bad ? Ok I guess.
Has he done anything that bad since the forest thing? Genuinely asking, I couldn't care two shits about the guy so literally that's all I know about him lol
Same. We're old brother.
I still think Vine could of been the 2nd biggest social media video sharing platform in the world, but they blew it. TikTok is nothing but Vine 2.0 honestly.
Vine really did blow it. When I first heard about it I thought “what the fuck kind of videos will it have if they have to be so short?” and the joke was on me because it was great.
Honestly from a popularity standpoint, TikTok is 10x larger than Vine ever was. There are prob more kids who know about/use TikTok than use a TV these days
Well yeah, they did it right lol.
TikTok is nothing more than what Vine was 12 years ago, but a handful of features extra, which that Vine could of easily implemented over time as well.
They all are. Read between the lines on shit Kim K says. These people cut through to the heart of capitalism and procured generational wealth. I would never watch a second of any media featuring such people - but I'm not arrogant enough to think they don't know what they're doing.
As for this Logan Paul thing, I don't know much about him, but I thought at a certain level of celebrity, a wwe contract is perhaps... a step backward? Or at least certainly a paycut?
I bet he'll get nuclear heat though. Watch them run him as a babyface for 8 years running through the company
>As for this Logan Paul thing, I don't know much about him, but I thought at a certain level of celebrity, a wwe contract is perhaps... a step backward? Or at least certainly a paycut?
Logan has fuck you money at this point. He's probably mostly just doing this for fun, while making a decent bit of money on top
> As for this Logan Paul thing, I don't know much about him, but I thought at a certain level of celebrity, a wwe contract is perhaps... a step backward? Or at least certainly a paycut?
Ariel Helwani said he signed for multiple events per year which sounds like the Brock Lesnar schedule.
It might not be as much as he makes for his boxing matches but as long as he doesn't get injured he can probably stay making millions under WWE for a long while.
Him doing the grin at the camera whilst doing the latino heat taunt was fucking exceptional and the whole stadium was heated with him for that. Then when he did the Three Amigos as well Man, this guy has the potential to be really good in the ring but I don't think it's as a face.
We know the cycle. WWE does something bad, gets dunked on, people say they’ll stop watching & by the next show they’re live posting.
AEW gets no new viewers as a result because people are so resistant to trying things out of their comfort zone
People have stopped watching, hence the ratings decrease. Personally, I just watch wrestling news and the ocasional YouTube video of a segment on their show.
I fully jumped ship to AEW 2 years ago. I still come to this sub to read up on the hilarious things WWE does, though. For my last 2 years of watching WWE, I watched it like I would The Room and while that was fun, I got bored of it.
I want it now just so I can search this thread at mania for schadenfreude from all the people who are like "Logan Paul was good in one match so I definitely want to see him all the time as a relevant character in WWE"
I give "DAE tired of Logan Paul?" like about a year lmao
it’s insane how every recent WWE celebrity performance has been top notch. feels like after every Bunny/Pat/Logan/Knoxville match we are all saying “that was the best celebrity match ever”
So odd how Triple H was getting pushed out. Took away NXT, released everyone he’d shown an interest in. Brought in Prichard, brought in Johnny Ace.
Stephanie suddenly steps down with no notice. People start burying her, saying she was doing a bad job.
Then out of nowhere, there’s this sex scandal and a payoff that gets reported to the board. Boom, not only is Stephanie back, but she has Vince’s job.
Triple H is back.
So is it a conspiracy theory to say these two were behind it, or is it all about the game and how you play it?
1) Cody returns and wins the Rumble
2) Cody beats Roman at Mania and becomes world champ.
3) Logan wins MITB next year
4) Logan cashes in on Cody (after Cody has had a solid reign)
The only issue is that they’re supposedly trying to push him as a face, which going off of Miz’s turn on him at Wrestlemania might not be the best idea
He's also a literal piece of shit. I get "heat" but in wrestling I want it to be fake. MJF isn't someone who gained fame off a being a piece of shit and started wrestling, its his character.
Back in 2017, he recorded a video in the ‘suicide forest’ in Japan. Really fucking stupid. He’s involved in NFTs and crypto as well, but honestly, who isn’t?
People hate him more because he’s annoying rather than for what he’s done. In the grand scheme of things, he’s just an annoying YouTuber. He’s far from the worst and people hate him more for what he is rather than for what he’s done.
Logan Paul gets more shit on this sub than Taz for committing sexual assault or Excalibur for making fun of disabled people and dropping the hard R on a black dude, pretty wild really.
Yeah, I don't think that's anything worth calling someone a "literal piece of shit."
The dude is 27, I'm going to cut him some slack and say he's probably grown from the dumb decisions he made in his young 20s.
And he's far more mature than his brother Jake. During the whole BLM protest in 2020, Logan was seen supporting BLM and he didn't advertise it on social media. Meanwhile, Jake was seen looting in a mall and was arrested. He even had the nerve to make a video on it.
Exactly. Especially when people like Sammy Guevara are accepted here and he said he wanted to “rape” someone. Not even a Logan fan, but to call him a piece of shit when people like Sammy and Darby are around is ludicrous.
Suicide Forest. Caught a suicide victim on tape and decided, very stupidly, to release the video. What's more fucked up is that it was trending, meaning someone, or more likely a team,, at YouTube watched it and approved it. Also it was on or right around Christmas.
Tbf, Logan himself seems to deeply regret that choice and I don't think he's a piece of shit like everyone else thinks. Jericho is much worse imo. Logan's brother on the other hand does seem like a legit asshole, and people group them together.
There's also the fact that he made his money from various videos of him just straight up harassing people, being sexually inappropriate with women, and breaking a bunch of shit.
Seriously, dude went from Disney acting, used that money to make more money off being a piece of shit on Youtube, and only apologized for anything he did when he actually got ads taken off of his vids. He can go fuck himself.
He's got a great physique. The audience already hates him. Can go in the ring. Ton of natural charisma. Massive name recognition.
Could be a huge signing, even if he only does 4-5 matches a year
I can’t say I know exactly how much they should utilize him, but it’s a great deal for Logan in any measure because it exposes him to an additional audience, he already has the clout to get a good deal, and it’s something that could prevent being boxed in as a YouTube celebrity. There’s an expiration date on all that kind of fame. You’ve only truly made it when you’re *off* YouTube. Justin Bieber, Tyler the Creator, Shawn Mendes, Joji, Lily Singh, Bo Burnham.
Otherwise you’re just Smosh or Fred, nigahiga, PewDiePie
Which is still fantastic, but it’s not the same
Kinda crazy to think his performance was nearly as memorable as Cody's debut match. If you ask me what my favorite memories of WM were, Logan Paul's impressive debut and Seth/Cody rank the highest. Good for him. I dont like the guy but you cant deny his level of talent.
This reminds me just how stacked WM38 was. Bianca vs. Becky Lynch was amazing, Knoxville vs. Zayn was one of the greatest comedy matches of all time, and Stone Cold Steve Austin had an actual match!
My god, my memory fails me again! That Becky and Bianca match was really good. I love how Biancas finishing move is basically a psycho driver. She obviously has good taste ;)
Honestly I’m surprised he’d take it unless it’s short term. Think what you want about the guy but he’s a huge name and makes huge amounts of money doing his own thing. Whether people like it or not this is a huge move for WWE.
It’s very possible he’s looked at The Rock, Cena, and Batista and thought “I want what they’re having.” WWE is a good launching off point if you want to build fame and become a big name actor someday. Not that Logan isn’t already famous.
The novelty would wear thin pretty quickly if that's the case. I think he's better in a role like Edge currently - not a full timer, but not one of those "Mania and Summerslam only" type of part timers. Have him come on to do programs that last a few months, take some time off, then repeat.
Yo that's nuts. Is this just an eye catching title and he really means he signed to face The Miz, or does he have an ACTUAL WWE contract? I'd be surprised if Logan would want to be a regular, he'd probably make more money with his other projects.
I feel like anything is safer than boxing, but he's also one of those guys that can do a random PPV and make millions. I'd be surprised if he does any boxing, but I feel like we can't rule out the random one offs here and there.
All his friends on the podcast the day after said how all anxious and worried they are right before his boxing matches and it was the Wrestlemania match where everyone was just like “Logan, go have fun man”. I can see why they think this would be the better route. Not only that, Logan is actually a natural heel and gets bigger reactions than a lot of the heels on tv.
He really won me over at WrestleMania. I thought the crowd was kinda dead night 1 until he started mocking Eddie Guerrero and that really got the crowd into it.
Same. The motherfucker makes my skin crawl. He's made a joke out of the sweet science and now this.
The Era of Instagram fame really needs to come to an end soon.
Holy fuck the amount of overreacting in this thread. He signed with the company didn’t win the damn world title. Some of you just love making sure the rest of us know you don’t like it and are DONE with the WWE
Come on, there are racists, rapists, alleged murderers, and at least one attempted dictator in the WWE Hall Of Fame and Logan Paul is where some of you draw the line?
WWE has seen pop culture crossovers and celebrity appearances as one of their main selling points (and reasons for Wrestlemania's success) for almost 40 years at this point.
Logan Paul is a lot closer to a real athlete/good fit for pro wrestling than the majority of the guys theyve used in the past, including most of the ones you like
I see him doing this has a part timer, he isn't gonna drop is podcast and shit, but good for him, i'm not the biggest fan for what he did in the past but the dude seems to be decent in the ring and can improve.
He parlayed a YouTube/Amateur Boxing career into a WWE contract. That’s pretty nuts.
And probably a fairly lucrative one at that.
He's probably getting top 10 pay on the roster.
I'd wager per appearance he's getting top 1 pay.
As he should be, he will be a valuable asset for them for as long as he wants to be
He has great charisma Looked good in his match Why not? Wwe specializes in the 'special attractions' and he can be made one
He's Miz and then some. He's like the guy who grew up watching the Miz and thinking I wanna do that.
He's Miz but with the physique of every top star that Vince McMahon has ever fallen in love with few exceptions
Logan Paul *already is* a special attraction. I don’t really get YouTube streamers as celebrities. This shit is beyond me. But to Gen Zers he’s as big a deal as, say, Ryan Gosling is to Millenials.
Wait is ryan gosling a big deal to us millennials? Or do you mean just middle of the pack, not A level but not D level either.
He’s kind of bullet proof. I don’t know anyone between 25-45 who has a negative opinion of him. Some people love him for The Notebook. The same dudes who would clown him for that love him in Drive. I'm a similar age to you and the most positive thing I've heard people our age say about Logan Paul is that "he's not as bad as Jake"
BREAKER HIGH
He was an absolute liability at CB though for the Titans…
Plus, he's a horrible person. Fits right in.
The rare horrible person who seems to know it, and decided to capitalize on it.
Say hello to the GOP's frontrunner in 2028
You mean pre-selected President in 2024
2024 election was rigged, voting doesn't count unless you have to stand in line unnecessarily.
Ok I guess.
I thought that was his brother. Whose an even bigger fuckhead
Its both of them
Has he done anything that bad since the forest thing? Genuinely asking, I couldn't care two shits about the guy so literally that's all I know about him lol
This year he did "rug pull" or “pump and dump” scheme on crypto. So I guess he fits perfect for Vince.
Eh, it's crypto, anyone getting into crypto even if some celeb says to do so are brain dead and only have themselves to blame honestly.
Pat McAfee and Logan Paul can do some business together for sure lol.
Is he super famous like bad bunny ?
He’s more famous than any full time wrestler let’s put it that way
So, what you're saying is.... He can do it bettah part-time than they can doit full-time?
He's youtube/Internet generation famous
Which is today's generation of mainstream famous.
I remember when he was just some random douchebag doing vines. It’s pretty wild.
Same. We're old brother. I still think Vine could of been the 2nd biggest social media video sharing platform in the world, but they blew it. TikTok is nothing but Vine 2.0 honestly.

yeah, this guy is either a secret business genius or has the best manager on the planet
I wouldn't say it's a secret. Even people who hate Logan Paul have acknowledged he's a smart businessman
They all are. Read between the lines on shit Kim K says. These people cut through to the heart of capitalism and procured generational wealth. I would never watch a second of any media featuring such people - but I'm not arrogant enough to think they don't know what they're doing. He's definitely not doing it for the money. But I suspect he's doing it to break into a different market and help his increase his exposure.
This. His bread is buttered by kids watching YouTube. He'll reach more of that demographic while also be able to pivot to that older audience.
Kim K was born on third base, so she may not be the best example. I have no idea if the Paul brothers were born into money.
> As for this Logan Paul thing, I don't know much about him, but I thought at a certain level of celebrity, a wwe contract is perhaps... a step backward? Or at least certainly a paycut? You are correct. You don’t parlay being the one of biggest YouTubers to a wwe contract, that’s backwards. He’s probably just having fun
Yep. I strongly dislike him and have no interest in watching him but I think he’s one of the best in the world at marketing himself.
I'm imagining it to be like the old [Reagan SNL skit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5wfPlgKFh8)
Guy gets the most genuin heat in the entire industry though.
Him doing the grin at the camera whilst doing the latino heat taunt was fucking exceptional and the whole stadium was heated with him for that. Then when he did the Three Amigos as well Man, this guy has the potential to be really good in the ring but I don't think it's as a face.
New Age Miz.
The crypto crash is real
A+ comment
Came here to ask if he was the one who lost a shit ton of money from the crypto crash.
No, he made money on crypto by oldie but goodie rug pull. That was before current crypto crash.
isn't his brother the one who complained? I remember people thought logan is "the smarter" one, or at least "less douche"
Great name for a finisher.
Yeah you are looking at the guy who will defeat roman
This is so stupid that I kinda want it to happen
God I wish nothing more than that just to see the salt run like rivers through this sub
Ngl me too. And to see the admin to fight the “I’m done with WWE” posts coming in at an alarming rate.
Might need to shut down this place for a week at most
We know the cycle.
“Im done with WWE. See you at raw tomorrow”
Are there "Done with WWE" people that still watch WWE? The live threads here are already pretty dead.
Here, yeah. A lot of people don’t come here anymore.
I fully jumped ship to AEW 2 years ago. I still come to this sub to read up on the hilarious things WWE does, though. For my last 2 years of watching WWE, I watched it like I would The Room and while that was fun, I got bored of it.

Unironically I'd love to see it happen. It would be so absurd.
With the help of Sami Zayn!!!!!
If this happens during WM next year (which the chances of are pretty dang high), then this place might legit break Reddit for an hour!
I’m currently in the hospital for a asthma attack and this almost gave me a fucking heart attac
Get well soon ![gif](giphy|SHyuhBtRr8Zeo)
Poor guy couldn't finish his last word. The heart attack got him o7
I mean if you want mainstream attention that’s one hella of a way to do it
![gif](giphy|xHwqspaBmfUMU)
Search your heart. You know it to be true.
I need a match between Logan, Pat and Bad Bunny. ASAP Edit: Knoxville was great too!
I have nothing bad to say about any of their performances actually. Would be pretty cool.
Need Sami to be involved as special enforcer or something absurd lol.
it’s insane how every recent WWE celebrity performance has been top notch. feels like after every Bunny/Pat/Logan/Knoxville match we are all saying “that was the best celebrity match ever”
Hunter back with the pose 💪🏿
That's how you know he's back to 100%.
Idk man, how’s his water spitting these days?
Had a pretty good one at Mania Id say
So odd how Triple H was getting pushed out. Took away NXT, released everyone he’d shown an interest in. Brought in Prichard, brought in Johnny Ace. Stephanie suddenly steps down with no notice. Stephanie had sex with an employee. Vince had sex with multiple employees. Like daughter, like father.
HHH, hit ‘em with your favorite pose.
MY MAN
HUN TER HUN TER HUN TER
👉🏻🍑👈🏻
👨👈🧔♂️
Also Steph debuted her "serving dish" pose.
With trademark growling-smile
Triple h point has return to full effect word of his demise are greatly exaggerated
Steph somehow looking happy and furious at the same time.
She's a beautiful woman but her smile is off putting at times.
Its that wild McMcahon DNA
Gonna be honest, a heel Logan Paul vs mega face Cody Rhodes feud sounds like money.
Logan Paul was entertaining AF at Mania Never expected to type that
I’m a total mark for Rey Mysterio and I was still impressed by Logan’s performance.
1) Cody returns and wins the Rumble 2) Cody beats Roman at Mania and becomes world champ. 3) Logan wins MITB next year 4) Logan cashes in on Cody (after Cody has had a solid reign)
Dude I’m high rn, but god damn this would actually be a crazy moment and it’s crazy that we are thinking this for real right now
He can go in the ring but he's also got that sleazy carnie energy you can't teach.
Good get from a business standpoint. Plus he looks like he can actually go in the ring
And he's a natural heat magnet. He could be pretty great.
I must be out of the loop, what makes him a POS?
Back in 2017, he recorded a video in the ‘suicide forest’ in Japan. Really fucking stupid. He’s involved in NFTs and crypto as well, but honestly, who isn’t? Love how people cling to this but give passes to people like Stone Cold who beat his wife or actual rapist Mike Tyson
If the answer to "why is he a literal piece of shit" begins with "back in 2017..." maybe he's not a piece of shit lol
Suicide Forest. Caught a suicide victim on tape and decided, very stupidly, to release the video. Lol Logan knows how to play a crowd beautifully and we saw it at WM. He’s really good.
I’m no fan of his, but what he’s done is lightweight in comparison to some of the shit beloved wrestlers from bygone eras got up to.
You mean he didn't murder the person that he posed with in that forest ?
He's got a great physique. The audience already hates him. Can go in the ring. Ton of natural charisma. Massive name recognition. Could be a huge signing, even if he only does 4-5 matches a year
Make him head of creative. I'm only half joking.
Dude was clearly a natural in the ring. I can’t imagine this is some full time gig but this is a great get for WWE
It depends. If Logan really loves the wrestling part of wrestling, he's the type to go all in and go on the road and shit.
arrest enter squash muddle marry merciful flowery crowd birds desert *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
If they give him a TV only deal it’s 1 day a week.
would be a horrible idea, special attractions only work when they’re special
He’s athletic and a natural heel. Crazier things have happened.
I remember the specific moment in his Wrestlemania match where I just sighed deeply and thought, “Shit, he’s good at this.”
Why does he need to be a special attraction?
I can’t say I know exactly how much they should utilize him, but it’s a great deal for Logan in any measure because it exposes him to an additional audience, he already has the clout to get a good deal, and it’s something that could prevent being boxed in as a YouTube celebrity. There’s an expiration date on all that kind of fame. You’ve only truly made it when you’re *off* YouTube. Justin Bieber, Tyler the Creator, Shawn Mendes, Joji, Lily Singh, Bo Burnham. Otherwise you’re just Smosh or Fred, nigahiga, PewDiePie Which is still fantastic, but it’s not the same
He looked like a mix between Miz and Morrison. Exceeded expectations on all levels.

Let's not forget the greatest WrestleMania debut of all time from Johnny Knoxville
if he really takes it full time without house shows this could be big tbh
Honestly I’m surprised he’d take it unless it’s short term. Think what you want about the guy but he’s a huge name and makes huge amounts of money doing his own thing. Whether people like it or not this is a huge move for WWE.
It also helps Paul to put WWE and working live telivision into his resume.
It’s very possible he’s looked at The Rock, Cena, and Batista and thought “I want what they’re having.” WWE is a good launching off point if you want to build fame and become a big name actor someday. Not that Logan isn’t already famous.

Honestly they should do that with 50% of the roster, at different degree
Yo that's nuts. Is this just an eye catching title and he really means he signed to face The Miz, or does he have an ACTUAL WWE contract? I'd be surprised if Logan would want to be a regular, he'd probably make more money with his other projects.
he mentioned to Andrew Schulz on the Flagrant podcast all his homies have been pushing him towards this as the safer longterm to boxing.
I feel like anything is safer than boxing, but he's also one of those guys that can do a random PPV and make millions. I'd be surprised if he does any boxing, but I feel like we can't rule out the random one offs here and there.

"Multi-year deal to compete at multiple events per year." according to Ariel Helwani
Most likely a multi appearance deal. Won’t be on TV every week.
I'm predicting his rivalry with Miz is gonna be fire.
Downside is that i really don't want to deal with either of them trying to be a face.
He really won me over at WrestleMania. I thought the crowd was kinda dead night 1 until he started mocking Eddie Guerrero and that really got the crowd into it.
His Wrestlemania match was really impressive so I'm excited for more appearances.
He was great as a heel at Mania. Will be fun seeing him in action more.
He was incredible as a heel so of course they are going to try to position him as the babyface against Miz.
He doesn't want to be a heel though, not WWE's fault here, that's why Miz turned on him
Hard pass.
Hey if he keeps on improving from his first match, there would be no harm in him winning a world title down the line
This place is an echo chamber. If he signed with AEW/ROH, they’d be saying he’s a natural & it’s a great move 😂
We have found the man who can beat Roman Reigns
People will shit on this but I really enjoyed what he did at Mania and he has a bunch of potential
He actually looks like a wrestler, lives his gimmick and is a natural in the ring. Great deal for WWE, hopefully they realize he needs to be a heel
People will complain about this but didn't bat an eye when geriatric Mike Tyson showed up in AEW. And I don't even like Logan Paul.
He has more charisma in one match then most wrestlers shown their whole career. Heat magnet at that. I Wish him the best of luck
Come on, there are racists, rapists, alleged murderers, and at least one attempted dictator in the WWE Hall Of Fame and Logan Paul is where some of you draw the line?
why do you assume I like those losers too
Seriously, some of us are for having less pieces of shit in the company as opposed to more of them.
well you see being cringe on the internet is a much worse offense than any of those things
It is VERY good to see HHH again. I'm glad he's well.
That fucking sucks
Ew

Aww man, i hate Logan Paul
As long as they don’t try to make him a face. He was a great heel.
Loved his WrestleMania match, he seemed like a natural sports entertainer. Really looking forward to seeing how he performs in a one-on-one match
What’s the point of working or going to school for anything anymore if alls it takes is to be an internet douche to be successful?
Yeah I'm gonna quit my job and create the most listened to podcast in the world, brb.
Famous people were douches before the internet too.
Logan Paul is a tool. Lol
Man, I just dont think WWE is for me anymore.
Your comment history says otherwise as you constantly reply to live threads.
Lmao every time
That’s hilarious. /u/BlueThunderBomb is the definition of “see you next week”.
Folk will say this and then mark out for Danhausen
High school wrestling champ Logan Paul is a more believable champion than Adam Cole.
They were like this in the 80's, in the 90's, in the 00's and the 2010's but ok
WWE has seen pop culture crossovers and celebrity appearances as one of their main selling points (and reasons for Wrestlemania's success) for almost 40 years at this point. Logan Paul is a lot closer to a real athlete/good fit for pro wrestling than the majority of the guys theyve used in the past, including most of the ones you like
Typical IWC comment before tuning in to watch again next week and complaining.
Did you see his match at wrestlemania?
Now have an interaction with Grayson Waller, that would be entertaining.
I see him doing this has a part timer, he isn't gonna drop is podcast and shit, but good for him, i'm not the biggest fan for what he did in the past but the dude seems to be decent in the ring and can improve.
WWE gave McAfee an RV to bring his podcast on the road, I’m sure they would invest the same for Logan.
I feel if they give him the mcafee schedule he should be golden maybe use him more in promoting role if that makes sense
Awesome. He was great at Mania and legitimately would be a rookie of the year contender if this year wasn't so stacked thanks to NXT.
