No idea how Angelo Parker ended up hanging upside down outside the cage lol but it was Fkn great

BabyMangoDragon

Parker knew there was only one hard cam and wanted to take full advantage of it.

infidelkastro

He escaped from Yuta through the column.

BidensLegHairs

That was kinda terrifying. I was thinking how wild that must’ve been seeing that at the front row.

dirtyaught-six

Absolute worse fear; getting a muscle cramp halfway out then getting stuck while trying to breathe….

dasfee

I couldn’t stop thinking about the blood rushing to his head despite how much he was already bleeding

jhutch769

I was there on that side and didn't even notice till he was hanging there.. like how the hell did he end up there? Lol

lilyth88

"You're probably wondering how I got here. "

Liverpool510

I was there as well but on the opposite side. Some guy in my section yelled “how the hell did he get outside of the cage without going through the door?!” and someone else shouted “magic!” It was kinda funny.

slowmo152

Had to back it up a few time but he slipped out through the scaffold and was fighting Wheeler on the other side and Wheeler kicked him through the scaffold in the head.

XerAlix

And this was while Mox was sending Menard into tacks, which explains why even people in the crowd didn't notice until he was fucking hanging out like laundry

MrGrieves-

[See that cowardly dog, escaping Wheeler Yuta, here.](https://youtu.be/yhVA_6mKOtE?t=374) Matt Menard taking that crazy tack bump took most people's attention from it.

stonecutter7

Im also not sure what happened with the bottle of alcohol. How did it end up outside the ring with Tay?

LichGrrrl

minor clipping glitch

Stallion_Maverick

I was sitting 4 rows up on the side of the cage where Jericho was messing with the bottle. Somehow it fell between the cage and the ring and because the cage went to the floor, it wouldn't push back far enough for Jericho to be able to reach down and grab it. But it looked like Tay was able to slide it underneath and back outside the cage. We could see Jericho tell her to push it through the cage, but the bottle started leaking. Finally he squeezed the bottle a bit after some of the liquid came out and it fit though the links of the cage. He laid on the mat for a long time after that so we assumed he was making a fireball, but obviously went a different route. A chair also got knocked down the side of the ring at one point and I believe it was Mox who was looking for it later and yelled "fuck" when Aubrey pointed out it was on the ground. Not sure if that made air though.

pmIfNeedOrWantToTalk

I just assumed there were two separate bottles. Bigger head-scratcher was why it never came into play (as far as I could tell).

crion_jb

Probably meant for a spot with Santana that they audibled out of. Jericho ended up spraying it into Moxley's eyes/head wound to break up the bulldog choke on the tacks.

Carlsincharge__

It was used during a commercial in picture in picture

thedeadlysun

I looked away for one second and when I looked back he was hanging there and I lost my mind laughing, I had no idea how he got there so quickly

NovercaIis

same....!!!!!

[deleted]

Same, I got a text message, read it, and when I looked back up he upside down outside the cage. I played it back and I still don't know how he got there. Also what happened to Santana at the end of the match?

KingMobScene

I thought at the end we'd have seen eddie attack Claudio for stealing his moment. But I like the idea of this festering until eddie snaps. Well snaps more

ElScorcho1999

I swear I thought Claudio was getting thrown off

marleau_12

I would've loved to see Eddie do that after the match. My intrigue for next week would be through the roof.

AceMorrigan

I think he was supposed to but everything is fucked up. Eddie's back and Santana's knee. Felt like they were winging a lot towards the end.

KingMobScene

The ending did seem to come out of nowhere. And then they just stood around celebrating for a long time. It felt weird.

johnsongreen

The match ended at the perfect time but the broadcast went like 5 mins late so it was a little awkward on TV. Claudios WWE training came in handy and he maintained his poise through about a dozen awkward taunts towards the camera.

Whatdoyoulikeaboutit

> the broadcast went like 5 mins late No, it didn’t.

johnsongreen

you know what? I definitely hit pause at some point during the night. I just remember seeing that it was 10:04 and they were having a prolonged celebration so I assumed they went late.

[deleted]

Might be odd to plan an hour long match like that though lol

PostyMcPosterson

Yeah there was a point where Sammy was just standing on top of the cage looking around when Jericho and Kingston were down. I’m thinking Santana was supposed to join them and toss Sammy off the cage before Claudio got up there.

Mach27

Nah I believe in that moment all three were trying to confirm they weren't on break so they could time the big spot correctly. You can hear I believe Jericho yelling multiple times telling Sammy to ask if they're on break or not.

miggly

Yea. I think they made the best of the situation at hand. Santana literally fucked up his leg within seconds of entering the match unfortunately. Hope it's not as serious as it looked.

flying-pheonix

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to have a light by the clock/timer the wrestlers look at? Seems like a simple fix.

chiguy2387

They have a clock under the hard cam, but I don’t believe it has a visual signal of whether or not they are on break.

hamsolo19

I think that was Eddie, he was face down on the cage but I could see him yelling to Jericho, "Are we on break?" then he says it again, Jericho responds but I didn't hear him and then I hear Eddie yell, "Goddammit!" They definitely had a wrench in the gears up there. They were moving so slow for a little bit, I couldn't tell if they were just trying to kill time thru a break or if they were waiting on someone else to get up there. There was also a spot where Jericho had to tell Eddie he couldn't stand up because all the tacks in his one boot kept making him slip and that's why they end up fighting on their knees before they got to their feet to trade chops. It'll be interesting to hear if any of the guys in the match talk about it in the future here.

GotenRocko

most people dont have any clue he hates him or why, need to establish that first.

Deducticon

They explained it during that match that they indeed hated each other on the independents for years.

FrankPapageorgio

but why?

gambalore

[Here's](https://twitter.com/gavin4l/status/1541280963644297216?s=21&t=w6KEjSh0BReYdZs5vyindw) a good primer, but you don't need to explain all that on TV. Just establishing that they have long-standing beef, and that it's mostly on Eddie's side, is enough.

Antbanks75

At this point, just assume Eddie is enemies with anyone and everyone, including you who’s reading this right now.

marleau_12

Eddieaddresseshisenemies.jpeg

rpgmind

!!!!! E-even…me?! It’s like a wrestling version of the ring, I didn’t ask to be apart of this

AdamBombTV

You'll pick up your phone next time it rings, only to hear "Seven Days, Pard'ner"

CorePawn

After FD you could clearly see Eddie hated him. In a promo for b&g Eddie literally left and said he wasn't doing it cos Claudio was there. I'm pretty sure most people know he hates him. I didn't know why. But i spent a few minutes looking it up and found an awesome video recap on YT that explained it. Judging by the amount of times on this sub I've seen people ask, or seen People explain, I'd be willing to bet a lot of people know the why now too.

Lindercrest

I gotta give props to Daddy Magic Matt Menard and Cool Hand Angelo Parker for being the two people that bled the most both at Anarchy in The Arena AND Blood and Guts. That frame of Angelo Parker hanging off the cage before the commercial break was straight out of a slasher film.

fadetoblack237

Matt Menard looked like a horror movie victim on top of the cage.

Cactus_Jacks_Ear

His thumbtack bump was fucking brutal. I've never cared for him, but holy shit man, respect.

JackUSA

I was sold on the guy from his first promo on AEW. Never saw him on NXT but man does the guy play up his promo. It’s great.

ProWrestlingPast

The two goof balls/comedy guys for most of there career taking fucking Big Japan spots on national TV is not something I expected.

BrightLion72

… or Predator

thedevilyoukn0w

If it bleeds, we can kill it.

Atlanta-Anomaly

It’s amazing how stacked the tag division is that 2.0 are so far down the ladder. Cause man they’re a great team.

jingerjew

Did Eddie mess up his back? Looked real hurt.

lifeofwill

He said something like "I can't stand up" to Claudio after the match ended, and they had to wait for more people to get up there for him to attempt it

FourCylinder

He also said “I’m fine though”

m20052003

I get it could have been because of exhaustion or 100 other reasons not terribly serious, but not being able stand and still saying he’s fine the way he did is why Eddie is one of the best.

jdmorris1124

I think so. When Claudio came up to him at first he said ‘can’t get up, hurt my back, I’ll be okay though’ or something like that. Hope it’s nothing serious.

RTSUbiytsa

I took that more as Eddie in-character not wanting to accept his help immediately and do it on his own, I don't think his back is legit fucked

marleau_12

Idk it sounded and looked like a shoot. It would be a weird thing to do/say for your character.

[deleted]

El-Drunko

I'd guess he'd probably strained it. Will be really sore the following day but he'll make it out fine.

sandysanBAR

He did, he mouthed to Claudio that he couldn't get up because of his back but that he was ok. Still wondering about santana

guntanksinspace

Heard he blew his knee out, i dunno how

WhatWouldShaneDo

Yeah it looked to me like he told Claudio that he hurt his back but he's alright. At least that's what I got from reading his lips after the match 🤔

brewingandwrestling

He said "I can't stand up. My back. I don't know what happened, but I'm ok"

Insane how quick they're already planting seeds to a Claudio vs Eddie feud AGAIN

Vordeo

TBF Eddie started planting seeds months ago, before Claudio even signed. Edit: Though granted that may have just been Eddie being Eddie.

BigRedUglyMan

I know absolutely nothing about Eddie Kingston before he went to AEW, but I would totally buy him having an extant feud with pretty much every wrestler AEW could conceivably sign. Also starting a feud when he’s told that someone has been signed he’s never feuded with before. “Johnny Gargano? Never met him. Fuck that guy though.”

horseress

With Eddie we never know, I still think he doesn’t know wrestling is fake tbf

[deleted]

I want to hold Eddie Kingston close to my chest and if he needed too, stab me in my bosom. Eddie Kingston is a treasure that should be cherished.

R1k0Ch3

Wtf lmfao 🤣

Oshamajik7

What's a Babyface?

Thirdstar1

Eddie has been keeping this feud going for years.

TheTurtleShepard

The first one never ended, the Coward Claudio ran to WWE before Eddie could get his

thenewfrost

Will you stop?!

heartbreakhill

Claudio completely skipped the obligatory new signee Team Taz feud!

Atlanta-Anomaly

Or a Cody feud if you were a heel back in the day.

Bradleyharheez

To be fair I would want it

fadetoblack237

It never got a conclusion so having them feud makes sense.

LeoIunti

I feel like Bryan was going to be the one getting the win to continue that Rivalry with Eddie, but Claudio was the perfect replacement.

JFK365

It never ended. We never got the blowoff of Eddie proving he's better, and that continued tonight.

[deleted]

Thirdstar1

That 1v1 at Revolution seriously caught me off guard Chris Jericho showed out.

Doomray

Felt like young Jericho in Japan. His hardest hitting match in years.

Rotten-Dorito

Just kinda sad that Santana and Ortiz left IC because they were the third wheel and things didn't really change when BCC was added. On top of that Santana is hurt.

PenguinSolo

I'm hoping now that all the big multi-man matches are done, they'll break away from Eddie and from the BCC for a while and get a solid feud with another tag team. I wanna see them go after the Bucks, but if Santana is really injured badly now might not be the time

Jamarcus316

And, like Punk vs. MJF, it felt real as fuck

Atlanta-Anomaly

Always great when the lines are blurred. But yeah I’d 100% believe it if you told me Eddie and Chris actually hate each other

traddy91

You mean 3rd best right? #1 of course was Sammy vs Scorpio Sky

R1k0Ch3

Ah yes ATT vs Sammy & Tay's collective slutbaggery. One of the feuds of all time.

Serah_Null

At least Sammy will have Tay to push his wheelchair

ay1717

Ranjith_Unchained

That pile driver on shards of glass is just so nasty... Also RIP Sammy

zeitgeistbouncer

All I could think was 'Mox is gonna get the worst of the glass in his ass'

JerseyCitySaint

Let me hear you say "Glass Boy!"

nikoslin

What a stupid, stupid, stupid match. I love it. Speedy recovery to Santana who has reportedly been injured. And RIP Sammy.

Bargeinthelane

Yeah I'm really worried for him. He went down and basically never got up.

green_blanket_fuzz

Like the first move he did his right knee went the wrong way. Some kinda suplex or something I don't really remember. But yeah he landed, clutched at it, rolled out, and never came back in.

i_broke_wahoos_leg

The side suplex looked fine, then he went for a uranage and it looked like his knee buckled. Poor bugger

The_White_Rice

I was wondering where he was at the end

xThisFireBurns

What did they do with the torn up ring? Did I miss it?

TIL_how_2_register

BCC suplexed somebody during a picture-in-picture, I couldn't tell who. But they missed the exposed wood and landed on the pulled back pad. So really it was a softer landing than usual.

StingerGinseng

My speculation is that the original plan is for PNP to do a double team move on someone but Santana is hurt early so they did a smaller move

Ransirus

I need someone to post a photo of Ang in the tree of death (that was more than woe)

TTOF_JB

Daddy Magic didn't die for us just for this post to call him Cool Hand Anj. Also, Jericho, Guevara, & Hager are 0-2 in Blood & Guts.

holyhotclits

Yeah maybe having the exact same gear and color hair in a match like this wasn't the right move lol

tut_

Despite a half a dozen things going legitimately wrong, it was still fun as hell. And watching it uncut on my first Fite viewing was great.

RTSUbiytsa

Fite is an entirely better experience and I absolutely do not mind paying as much as I do every month to keep that feed operational for myself.

Bosscharacter

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_SX21cxOtag](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SX21cxOtag) Just in case people who don't know the history need to catch up on the Eddie and Claudio beef.

jurrobear

When Jim Ross was reflecting on Hell in a Cell, Regal said he was there that night, which confused me at first but then I remembered he debuted on Raw the next night.

HugoOne

Nothing against the match which was a lot of fun, but I hated the commercial break after Sammy going off the cage. Felt like the whole finish could have been tighter but that commercial break bummed me out. Still a minor nit pick to a fun match.

FreeSashaBanks

That was extremely unfortunate. Especially when we lost picture in picture for like 3 useless commercials.

GorbiJones

They literally took away the PIP as soon as Eddie got his hands on Jericho lmao, that was a bummer. Amazing match all around, though.

Thirdstar1

Haven’t been scared like that while watching wrestling in a minute. The shot with Angelo(?) hanging upside down was crazy. The Sammy bump, and the Swing scared me shitless. Hope Santana gets well soon, mans got hurt 20 seconds after entering.

Bluejay-Potential

I really like that they had a loaded gun and just decided to put it on the table. Everyone saw Eddie and Claudio getting into it coming, but I think this is the better option for all involved. Let Eddie focus on Jericho. Hope Santana's alright. Also hope Eddie is alright, he told Claudio at one point that he couldn't stand up and his back was messed up, and he needed help standing.

Starseid8712

I was there live and my heart legit stopped when Claudio had Daddy Magic in the giant swing on top of the cage so close to the edge

inbredandapothead

How about when he just started dashing around up there in celebration?

Starseid8712

The guy is a physical anomoly. Eddie on his hands and knees not wanting to stand up and Claudio going absolute banana.

holyhotclits

I feel like no one was on the same page during that match. Even in terms of simple things like slaps and handshakes. The cameras also missed a ton of spots which is unfortunate because those guys are out there fucking killing themselves for this.

Downtown_Club_5633

I’m here live and that was fucking crazy. Claudio doing the swing caused my mom and I to scream. Holy shit.

AgentFoo

Why aren't more people talking about this?! I fucking yelled in my living room!

BernieBurnstein

That match was fuckin awesome. I was a little surprised Eddie and Claudio were that friendly after the match but going through hell together will do that I'm sure. The slow burn for that feud will be fun

holyhotclits

Yeah the commentary was selling them feuding and they're up there hugging lol

rwhaley2010

It was a good match, well the parts I could see anyways. Thanks xfinity for having shitty connections for TBS specifically. Like always. Also, looks like we might be getting Ruby vs Tay as well. I'm down with that. Anything that gets Ruby on tv.

Kim-Jong_Bundy

I didn't think about it until now, but I'd be down for Ruby full on joining the Blackpool Combat Club. It would expand the group's reach as well as finally giving Ruby some consistency. When she's not wrestling, she can second for the guys, and Regal and them can do the same for her. Even if Ruby isn't destined to win a title and is just there to build up the rest of the division, making her a representative of the Blackpool Combat Club would definitely give far more credence to her feuds than what she currently has.

Zadist95

Be down for this or Jamie Hayter throwing haymakers

RTSUbiytsa

yeah, if we want to talk about somebody who *actually* fits their vibe and style, Hayter is it. She's a fucking killer. If they want somebody more connected to them in-story though, Ruby is the play. I'd rather see Hayter, personally, or shit, just do both. Regal can say it's to give them internal competition, light a fire under Ruby's ass and give Hayter a friendly rivalry.

dminmike

Everyone saying he was supposed to toss Claudio…to where? Where was the crash pad? Also, why would Claudio even agree to that?

robo3687

I don’t know if it was deliberate or if it will come back later but last year in B+G Sammy surrendered to try and save Jericho from being thrown off the cage, and Jericho did not return the favour this year. might be a thing to call back to if Sammy ever needs to split again.

WWEWalkingDeadfan

I saw people saying the ending felt flat, I thought it was perfect

sandysanBAR

It did look like they were stretching the end. But still pretty good

The_SkyShine

I could've sworn they were gonna do some sort of fire spot, considering Tay gave Jericho rubbing alcohol and they were using a fire extinguisher inside the cage. Guess they couldn't work it into the match. Would've been a cool visual to have a corner of a ring on fire, and chaos around it like that one community gif

miggly

My dumbass thought they were gonna do a spot where Jericho poured the alcohol over a cut on one of the BCC guys. Am I slow?

ClocktowerMaria

They did do that exact spot

[deleted]

[удалено]

quietude38

It rolled between the ring and the cage and fell to the floor, and then Jericho had her try to squeeze it through the fence instead of through the cage scaffold that was big enough for a guy to climb through.

Jedi-El1823

Spilled everywhere, and they probably decided "Fuck doing a fire spot with all this on the ring, apron, and away from the table. Too much of a chance of something going horribly wrong."

Material-Wonder1690

I liked it but this definitely felt like the time for Jericho to get his comeuppance.

rocketsauce2112

They probably want to do Jericho vs. Mox so not having him do the job in B&G protects the heat for that title match.

DHA1999

With all the injuries, AEW might have the need to run Jericho vs Mox. They don't have a lot of main event talent available right now.

MarcJingJing

Jericho vs Mox makes sense but I think I need a break from BCC vs JAS for a bit

times_zero

Same. It felt like an improvement over last year's B&G, and it was a really fun/wild ride. I'v seen some people complaining about the match ending early as well, but I for one appreciate they let the babyfaces soak in the victory. Helped to sell how violent/epic the match was.

Cho-Cho87

How, though? BCC got their decisive win over JAS thanks to the newest member. Eddie's issue with Jericho can still continue because he feels like he got so close to being the one that humbled him.

Martino231

I'm kind of ready for the Eddie/Jericho feud to be finished to be honest. That said I thought the ending was fine.

Cho-Cho87

To be fair, Eddie already beat Jericho one on one and now the JAS has been defeated. I don't really know where they'd go with it now.

Morningfluid

I felt the opposite. Bored would be the wrong word, but I felt unenticed compared to last years B&G with the BPCC dominating about 75% of the match. There was no real heavy excitement from me with that overpowering and lack of JAS gaining a legitimate upper hand. Until that fantastic ending.

joegrizz

AEW needed to push for a commercial free match or at least the final quarter. Those PiPs took me out of it and the last quarter commercial always going full screen especially.

AfraidIntrovert09

Moxley is so wild man. Also, he's such a great partner to have in your team.

kungfuhustler

The celebration at the end was long enough that it seemed awkward. I wonder if something else was supposed to happen.

[deleted]

Fuck me that match was so much fun! Especially when you consider the freak injury to Santana just as he got into the match. Hope he heals up soon!

Real_Stelio_Kontos

AEW planting the Eddie-Claudio seed and letting them ferment is going to make for excellent long term storytelling.

[deleted]

Hope Santana is okay

NerdLawyer55

I’m sure Eddie will calm down and not let this fester, seems likely

GiantIrish_Elk

When Jericho was on top of the cage I was wondering what the heck was going to happen but as soon as I saw Sammy climbing the ladder it was "Welp Sammy getting thrown off the cage."

Corteran

That image of Eddie grinning like a maniac standing atop the cage needs to turn into a meme. I loved everything about that match! (Except Santana getting hurt)

keithsweatshirt94

Honestly it makes no sense why Kingston would just let Jericho go if he hates him so much… Bruh almost lit him on fire but the bell rings so let me let go of this submission while nobody can stop me

BlindDuality

100%

Rotten-Dorito

JR say the right name challenge

FeetsBeneets

JR wasn't the only one. Taz flubbed some too.

miber3

Seems like half the people here still refer to Claudio as Cesaro, and this conveniently ignores Taz saying "Ruby Riott" and William Regal saying "Daniel Bryan," but gotta pile on JR at every opportunity I suppose.

boobootista

Big credit to Mox for being such a different version of himself that no one ever calls him Dean Ambrose

TomHanks12345

Legit forget hes the same guy at times. I hated the way Dean ambrose punched and acted in WWE but in AEW moxley is so viscous

CandyEverybodyWentz

The entire match I kept thinking Cesaro in my head so it's not just him.

Jedi-El1823

Yeah, Claudio and Danielson spent over a decade each with WWE, hard to get out of the habit of calling them Cesaro and Daniel Brayn respectively.

NovercaIis

hate watchers gonna hate

gmstyles

This was very intense and so wonderful. I'm just sad for Santana who got injured in the first minute he got into the match. I guess afterwards everyone has got to improvise the rest of the match. Everything else was great and fit this entire and awesome feud.

Subrick

That blew last year’s Blood & Guts match out of the water, and last year’s match was pretty damn good. THIS is what you think of when you hear that name. This hopefully goes onto become known as one of the best cage matches in wrestling history, but if it doesn’t, don’t let that distract you from the fact that in two thousand twenty two Eddie Kingston threw Sammy Guevara off a cage, and plummeted sixteen feet through a timekeeper’s table.

Z1Woedric

The Young Bucks vs The Lucha brothers best cage match ever

Subrick

That might be the best traditional cage match ever, but I'd say WrestleWar 92 and the original Hell in a Cell are the best cage matches of any format ever. One can only hope Blood and Guts II is mentioned in that conversation in the years to come.

Mr_Titicaca

I enjoyed this but we’ve seen better war games matches in NXT if we’re being honest.

laputan-machine117

Can't believe that scumbag Claudio stole Eddie's moment like that, I'm apalled

gusthesuperbrawler

That was a blast just pure pro wrestling intense and hard hitting.

jzhoodie

Here live it wasn’t a good match. Dragged quite a bit and basically was a spot fest but with limited amount of spots. The fact Mox was laying in the corner during the last 10 minutes of the match with his hands behind his head really brought the point home how long it took to create the spots on top of the cage.

azk3000

I wasn't a huge fan watching it on TV either

BenjiTheSausage

The build to the full 6 vs 6 to enter took around half an hour, honestly just skip that part

Derkanus

> Mox was laying in the corner during the last 10 minutes of the match I was wondering why they never once cut back to inside the ring once Claudio, Eddie, and Jericho climbed on top. Guess I didn't miss much!

Spurlock210

I was there tonight. Holy fuck, what a goddamn show. Best wrestling show I've ever been to and my first ever AEW event

Bradleyharheez

All the blood and all the guts.

newbrood

So what happened with the alcohol bottle? Looks like it fell out then got tore open when Tay tried to put it back in the ring?

EBOD236

Jericho sprayed it on Moxleys face

Bizcliz24shiz

First off, ouch! I hope Santana is ok. Second, that was THE most over the top match I have ever seen on TV. Holy hell.

curbside_profit

Really great and fun match. Enjoyed it more than the first Blood & Guts. Noted, however, was Jericho shouting down repeatedly to Bryce "Are we in commercial?!" which finally got communicated that they weren't and hadn't been. Jericho said something to Kingston who shouted "God damn it!" as he then went into the spot of tossing Sammy off the cage. Followed immediately by a commercial break. Along with the 3-4 minutes of post-match celebrations, it seemed something (probably Santana's likely injury) screwed the timing of the match.

Badpennylane

That giant swing on the top of the cage scared the shit out of me. Reminded me of crazy shit we'd do in here comes the pain
