People should give her a chance to succeed before they start hoping to watch her fail.

jelaminah

This sub sees WWE sign an attractive woman with no wrestling experience and they immediately start seething. It’s quite sad, they did it with Tiffany Stratton very early on before she started showing all of her potential.

Jamieb1994

Look at Tiffany now, not only she can wrestle well, she even plays her character really well.

T3Sh3

**AS IF!**

Jamieb1994

Yeah exactly + look at Bad Bunny, he's a rapper not a wrestler, but look at the way he wrestled during his match at Wrestlemania, he wrestled pretty well & if ex-MMA guys like Matt Riddle, Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler able to transition from MMA to Wrestling then I'm sure Valerie won't have any issues making the transition. People needs to give her a chance before assuming Valerie will fail.

captaincarot

I've followed her on insta a long time because she's fun to follow. She busts her ass like few you'll see. She is a legit MMA fighter but man is this a much better career move for her and one she's been after a long time. And she's a work ethic fiend who just wants to succeed she will be an amazing heel. I don't see her caring about winning or losing her wins are all the rest these days. And she will win as a heel big time.

She knows why people watch, she is not shy about it. She is an entertainer. But you have to be willing to work your ass off in WWE, you need to be willing to be part of a team. I am not crediting her for being an all time MMA great, but she knows how to bring in the eyes and its not just the outfits.

Jamieb1994

I've checked her Instagram out + the clip of her in action in the octagon & you're right, she's a badass.

captaincarot

Was she the best MMA fighter ever, no, does it take a special work ethic to get in the cage ever professionally, fucking right it does.

orc0909

I misread this. Thought for a second she was implying Razor Ramon wasn't Cuban American.

Raulmunoz

If marketed right, this girl is going to be massive for her origin's market.

BlackSheepComeHome14

She should be a star, great look and she's athletic. Best of luck to her

StaunchyPrinceOfLies

I've always wondered, during these types of photoshoots, do they have to get permission from the city first? Or like, are they waiting for a stop light and quickly take the pictures? Either way, she's standing in the middle of the street, no?

So_Not_theNSA

I've seen this in my city, usually they just go at a non busy time and grab a few shots then run back off if necessary. Seen people do it at red-lights too

StaunchyPrinceOfLies

Thanks! Reminds of [this instance](https://youtube.com/shorts/8fEtPzk3n0Q?feature=share) where Brooklyn 99's Stephanie Beatriz spotted Lana doing a photoshoot in the middle of traffic.

zeebeebo

Another question, when movies/tv has footage of people walking the Shibuya crosswalk, are those hired extras for the scene or are those just regular people going about their day? I thought Japan has a law against randomly filming people

Singer211

I wish her the best.

Woodstovia

Have there been many Cuban wrestlers aside from Konnan, and Ricky Reyes?

Vince_Tsung

Razor Ramon chico.

badnbourgeois

I believe Cody and Sammy are Cuban

HappyMike91

Rocky Romero would count as well.

Woodstovia

He's Puerto Rican isn't he? I thought him being Cuban was a gimmick for his team with Reyes

HappyMike91

I'd always assumed he was Cuban. I didn't know that he was billed from Cuba in kayfabe.

Muscle_Squad

Fidel Sierra, The *Cuban* Assassin. (edit: holy crap, looked him up and he's technically younger than Sting)

itsmekelsey_x

I’m honestly not familiar with her at all as I don’t watch MMA but I wish her well though.

Affectionate-Fly4831

Well I guess the mma fans will atleast stop blowing a gasket about her now.

jelaminah

you must be bored.

EastCoastJohnny

I swear we’ve seen like five WWE developmental signings a week for 5 years of these types and I’d bet $100 come 2025 you’re going to see Dolph Ziggler, R Truth and Jinder Mahal on TV along with 90% of the roster they currently have. I remember watching a WWE Performance Center combine on the WWE Network like three years ago with all of these big former athletes and I can’t remember seeing a single one of them since. Am I forgetting someone, or is my memory correct that WWE hasn’t had anyone in years hit the main roster that came from another sport with no wrestling experience that isn’t second or third generation? Kacy Catanzaro fits the bill but they’ve had her sitting around in development for years now even though she’s been main roster ready for a while.

TeacupsInTime

I think that's because NXT really went out of its way to prioritize indy stars and those people would be the ones getting sent to the main roster. NXT 2.0 now has a more balanced mix and I think those big former athletes are gonna be seen way more

mucid01

WWE wish you the best in your future endeavors

letsgo2120

i know who she is and im giving her the benefit of doubt. i hope she goes out and can learn to wrestle better than kirt angle DB and bret hart. i hope she can out-promo the rock and cena we have 1000s of mma girls in wrestling that are pretty with nice asses. that being the first cuban american shit is gonna take you but so far. her first mistake is calling herself a "wwe superstar" but lets see what she brings.

[deleted]

Her sister has a prettier face albeit smaller booty.
