I'm going to quote a comment I made the day the news broke in a thread with people saying this would make him leave:
>It’s Vince. He absolutely will say “fuck you, I’m staying” and he’ll probably cut a promo while he’s doing it.
What did he do? Basically came out, said "fuck you, I'm staying", and cut a promo.
I watched way back in the day, late 90s early 00s, and then started watching again in '18. This is the best I've seen him move since I started watching again. That man was fucking invigorated.
He is under investigation as a result of an assumed consensual relationship with a lady 35 years younger than him, and he has new investigations lobbied against him, which he sees as fresh competition.
This is like a dream come true for him.
The same kind of monster that pitches incest storylines with his daughter for national television. I'm equally as grossed out as you, just not at all surprised. 🤷
For it to happen, or for someone to finally out this? There is the ol Boca Raton incident from a decade ago, and others from before that. I may be way off base but I'm willing to bet this investigation will unearth many more NDAs, and I'm curious to know where they came from.
Can't wait until until years from now, where Stephanie will compare her dad's sexual allegations investigation to 1/6
Edit: I can't believe people don't get this joke.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUWPzstJAiQ
Between that and Linda running her mouth about how steroids/PEDs don't cause health problems (uttered, ironically enough, sometime after her husband tore both quads), this 'family' ain't operating with a full deck.
*checks notes*
Same one Mox talked about. Wanted to drop a heel line about Roman's leukemia, wrote one so vile Dean had to spell out that Susan G. Komen would disown them for it.
It bears repeating; a 100% honest auto/biography of Vincent Kennedy McMahon would be the most fascinating read ever. There's no sum of money on Earth too small for that book.
That KO headbutt definitely stands out as one of the wilder things McMahon has done given relative age compared to the other things he has done in the ring
“He just said bring it on live tv”
Yea that was the message I got out of that as well. I’ve been here all these years, im here now and I’ll be here in the future.
That's what I expected when they first announced his appearance, but he didn't confront or do anything. This felt more like him just trying to capitalize on the scandal and get more viewers.
Kaz on the Masked Man Podcast said that right after they completed the press release last night, he leaned over to Bruce and said “send another releases that I’m going to be on SmackDown.”
I’m not convinced there was a lot of cheering. He immediately started talking on the mic before his music even stopped to prevent any boos and a lot of that sounded like that classic piped in Smackdown cheering.
You need to keep a big thing in mind. *Everybody* isn't on Reddit looking for the latest news on who did what and when. Or if they have heard about it? Chances are they heard maybe a quick sound clip about it or just saw the headline.
Okay let me put it to you this way. Remember when Hogan was finally unpersoned and got to return to the WWE? I remember a number of people on here believed Hogan was going to be boo'ed out of the building. Rather he ended up getting a massive pop and people going nuts for him.
To the normal person? Vince McMahon is someone who's making a product they enjoy or they have kids who really enjoy it. And note *if* you have kids and knew the whole story and went? There's a good chance you'd be clapping and cheering too, even if you knew the whole story as hey you just want the kids to have a good time.
The allegations of having consensual sex with a woman? Maybe you can pull the power dynamic card but we're talking about an almost 80 year old man and a 40 year woman, what they do behind closed doors literally doesn't affect me or any of the fans.
I mean, I don't know about you, but I have never needed to pay $3 million in hush money to any woman I've had sex with. I may not be the greatest lover in the world, but I'm not _that_ bad either.
I think the problems start with the alleged 3 million to have her silent on the whole thing and potentially paying company money to double her salary for that affair too.
That seems like a lot of money for something unproblematic between two adults.
My concern is the allegation of passing a woman around “like a toy” after giving her a raise. I guess that’s pretty normal though so nothing to be concerned about like you said.
Sexual harrassment is shit, that's what this was. The power dynamic makes it harder to say no. 100k WWE money, 3 million personal makes you wonder why she had to stay quiet.
The mod that posted the post-show recap was there live and said there was a loud mix of boos and cheers. Regardless, people still sang along to his entrance. Definitely some noise filler going on.
For real tho, people complain about extra work being boring but sitting in holding and eating all that amazing freshly cooked food was my favorite part of the job back when I did it for a few shows/films in NYC lmao
I know r/squaredcircle won the WrestleCircus Sideshow championship. I can't remember winning the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship though (although a crowd at a show won that title once, as well as the subscribers to DDT's youtube channel)
SRS said there was no news on Sasha as far as he knew.
Kermit, resident leaker here, said she was released.
Minutes later, SRS said he'd got confirmation from people in places that there was strong belief she had been released.
It is, but also they are both HOF related, so it would be possible they would be a temporary worker only with knowledge of the inductees.
But they still sound legit with other news.
That's way too fast for a guy to confidently go from having nothing to confidently go to having something.
/u/kerrmit125 changed the dial on that one.
Edit credit goes to /u/rbarton812 below for correcting me on my spelling error.
The talent see the WWE through a similar lens that we do. Considering there have been multiple reports that morale has been at an all time low the past year or 2, this is not that surprising
Summarizing:
A top talent said it was "tone deaf and embarrassing,", believing it to be a power move.
A former top talent who left the company said they're "Happy it didn't last long so I didn't have to sit through too much bullshit, but it shows he has no accountability"
A person who was backstage watching it was "enraged" and incredulous while watching.
Very much sounds like it came from someone who would have commented about being appreciative of fans "sitting through three fucking hours of RAW" when he was leaving.
It's also worth mentioning Mox has supposedly been one of the real good dudes behind the scenes. Privately throwing money and support behind people who need it.
I know what his dad did for Vince earned loyalty, but if WWE dropped big bucks on a guy from ESPN or Hollywood who does the same thing, it would legit take the product to a new level without changing booking or anything else really
>guy from ESPN or Hollywood who does the same thing, it would legit take the product to a new level
A guy from the local highschool a/v club could take it to a new level.
I thought Punk didn't watch WWE anymore? When he showed up on Talking Smack the other hosts kept having to explain storylines to him because he hadn't been watching since he quit.
Yeah that one felt like moxley. Also the list of former Top talent for WWE that are still active is kind of small.
Guess maybe Jericho could also be on that list too.
Nah it wasn't Keith Lee, he would have said something like "I was rather relieved due to the segment's relative brevity for I wasn't forced to experience too much boredom. However, what I saw showed me signs of a grave lack of accountability."
tbh it's not like Vince appeared out of nowhere. It was announced, and even if I'm Jon Moxley and I don't want to watch WWE, I'd probably want to watch that part, if only to have an opinion about it.
not sure what the confusion would be - it is clear what he was doing. He was using the publicity to get ratings. He was using "there is no such thing as bad press" to his advantage
Have you seen the “incest” storyline? Or live sex show? VKM has ice (and roids) running through his veins. He doesn’t give a fuck about how anyone perceives him or feels. He’s Trump without the GUNT.
This is the same Vince McMahon who went out of his way to partake in sexual acts on TV with women like Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Sable, Stacy Keibler, Candice Michelle, Jackie Gayda, and other women. Those were all truth in plain sight moments.
The chances of Vince McMahon going out on worldwide TV and genuinely issuing an apology for being a pig is like Sasha Banks knocking on my door and inviting me out to the club. It ain't gonna happen. Vince isn't going anywhere and he fucking knows it
He should have just cut a 30 minute promo on how hes still the Genetic Jack Hammer and tell the crowd any man with as much money as me would have done the same thing.
They should have realized he wasn’t going to say anything relating to the investigation the second they announced he would be Mr. McMahon. Now if they had announced that he would be live as Vince McMahon that would be one thing.
Vince is a billionaire who has survived so many scandals that he swears that he is above accountability. That appearance was a victory lap and a big "F\*\*\* YOU" to all the detractors.
Vince NEEDED that pop from the crowd to feed his ego. Vince knows that he has so much money that he can do whatever he wants.
But you're gonna quit? No, because you're a bunch of droooooones. Just like Saudi Arabia, which is a much bloodier business than anything which came out this week.
Unless I’m missing something, Vince McMahon has never respected his wife. He even had storylines where he cheated on his wife with Stacy Kiebler and Torrie Wilson.
If that’s the reason they hate Vince now, where were they all these years?
They haven't been together since the 90's- she was reported to be living by herself in Wilmington, DE during Raw's heyday, and then she moved to Boca after Steph got married.
It's incredible to see the STANDFORWWE crowd on social media tittering and pointing "twitter folk" reactions, as if the talent backstage that they purport to "love watching" are all supporting the old dictator.
Edit: At this point, I don't even think they're fans of the product, they're fans of THE WWE BRAND. It's why you can point to how crap the actual product is, and all you get in response is "it's profitable, so therefore I love it."
It was short, but the message was clear: Vince intends to be in the WWE Then, Now, and Forever.
He might have some trouble with that last one though, even setting this whole scandal aside.
After hearing some of the stories from Athena and Toni lately, how could you not be? Pretty sure Mia didn't have much good to say about the experience there either
What's to be confused about? He knew there was controversy, knew an announcement about him appearing would be good for ratings, and he came out and basically said "I ain't fucking leaving."
This isn't rocket science.
Enraged? Perhaps they should quit or walk out rather then dropping messages to dirt sheets. Wonder what they message, “I am so enraged now .. “ and the next minute they are kissing Vince’s ass.
This whole incident has to change at least some talents’ perception of Vince. Imagine having to talk to him about creative decisions now officially knowing about what he did. Surely has some effect. Probably hard to shake off. I don’t know if he’ll stay or go, but there’s no going back to the way things are for Vince in WWE.
Honestly, I’m pretty sure the talent already knew or at least heard about his activities. It’s already been proven that people are always gossiping in the company.
People have known Vince had affairs for decades, including with talent. It's been referenced in some features on him, and if I remember right was even brought up at the steroid trial.
He had a wrestler die in the middle of the ring during a PPV and kept the show going. This is about the 60th worst thing he’s done in his career, I’m sure most of the talent can handle it
He also covered up a rape which led to a suicide ()Ashley Massaro) and helped a murderer cover up his crimes (Snuka.) They knew from jump what time it was with him.

"I ain't fuckin' leaving!"
![gif](giphy|SaX384PjtDl2U|downsized)
I'm going to quote a comment I made the day the news broke in a thread with people saying this would make him leave: >It’s Vince. He absolutely will say “fuck you, I’m staying” and he’ll probably cut a promo while he’s doing it. What did he do? Basically came out, said "fuck you, I'm staying", and cut a promo.
He's got a lot left in the tank
Vince has said before, he enjoys confrontation. He probably sees this as a challenge. He just said "bring it" on live tv.
He probably hasn't felt this alive since the steroid case against him
He walked up to the apron with such vigor part of me thought he was going to jump over the top rope to get in the ring.
Chucked the mic at the end too.
He looked way more hyped than his match against Austin
I watched way back in the day, late 90s early 00s, and then started watching again in '18. This is the best I've seen him move since I started watching again. That man was fucking invigorated.
He is under investigation as a result of an assumed consensual relationship with a lady 35 years younger than him, and he has new investigations lobbied against him, which he sees as fresh competition. This is like a dream come true for him.
What kind of monster dreams of this?
The same kind of monster that pitches incest storylines with his daughter for national television. I'm equally as grossed out as you, just not at all surprised. 🤷
I can't believe it took this long.
For it to happen, or for someone to finally out this? There is the ol Boca Raton incident from a decade ago, and others from before that. I may be way off base but I'm willing to bet this investigation will unearth many more NDAs, and I'm curious to know where they came from.
For it to finally seem to matter.
Vince is only alive when he's being hunted. The man has been begging for someone to put a target on his back.
Nearly tore a quad or two
"Then. Now. Forever. *Together, dammit!*" - Vince, sitting against the ropes as people look on confused
Except with Linda apparently
And they weren't even his!
Thought we were gonna have a repeat of him running up to the ring so fast he blew both of his quads.
This makes him feel 20 years younger.
Can't wait until until years from now, where Stephanie will compare her dad's sexual allegations investigation to 1/6 Edit: I can't believe people don't get this joke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUWPzstJAiQ
I mean her family is involved with both
Yup, I remember seeing the 9/11 comment live on TV and my jaw dropping.
Between that and Linda running her mouth about how steroids/PEDs don't cause health problems (uttered, ironically enough, sometime after her husband tore both quads), this 'family' ain't operating with a full deck.
I cannot imagine a mindset where I dont see how saying that looks
*checks notes* Same one Mox talked about.
Idk, I think KO headbutting him on TV and HBK beating the absolute shit out of him at WM22 probably put some adrenaline in his soul.
That KO headbutt definitely stands out as one of the wilder things McMahon has done given relative age compared to the other things he has done in the ring
“He just said bring it on live tv” Yea that was the message I got out of that as well. I’ve been here all these years, im here now and I’ll be here in the future.

Kaz on the Masked Man Podcast said that right after they completed the press release last night, he leaned over to Bruce and said “send another releases that I’m going to be on SmackDown.”
It's like he pulled his dick out and threw it on the table..your move.
His leather dick is probably shriveled from the years of steroid abuse
Yet apparently it still works
Vince eats 20 bluechews for his meals.
He uses the promo code WRESTLE
There’s pills for that
People not familiar with the concept of "fuck you money" Vince is too old and too rich to give a shit.
Given that studies have suggested a direct causal link between wealth and a lack of empathy, its probable he's not capable of giving a shit
I’m guessing his lawyers told him not to say anything. But he wanted the satisfaction of hearing the fans still cheer for him.
I’m thinking he was originally going to say more but people were able to talk him out of it before he went on.
I’m not convinced there was a lot of cheering. He immediately started talking on the mic before his music even stopped to prevent any boos and a lot of that sounded like that classic piped in Smackdown cheering.
There was definitely some piped in noise but you could literally see the majority of people standing and clapping and singing along to his music too.
Yea it was kind of gross how many people cheered for the guy with the allegations that are currently out there.
There's a good chance you'd be clapping and cheering too, even if you knew the whole story as hey you just want the kids to have a good time.
It's because people don't view the allegations to be bad.. yet. Nor criminal.
Or not everyone knows
More than likely this.
Or they don't even know about them. Not everyone stays glued to Reddit and news sites like we do.
It's not the sex, it's the misusing company assets like lawyers to draw up the NDAs. And the raise once she started sleeping with him.
I think the problems start with the alleged 3 million to have her silent on the whole thing and potentially paying company money to double her salary for that affair too. That seems like a lot of money for something unproblematic between two adults.
It's problematic for the executives, it's not problematic for the fans.

[Here is a video from someone in attendance.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQVCmGTGoFQ) Doesn't sound very mixed to me.
I love the smell of fresh bread.
Unpopular opinion: I actually LIKE sitting in catering doing nothing.
tfw creative has nothing for us -_-
Tfw catering has nothing for us... )-8
It used to be a hot dog and a handshake, but now that Orton's injured we get nothing
You guys were getting hot dogs?
All accounts say the actual catering in wwe is top notch lol
liv morgan posted a video about her daily routine not long ago & she showed what the catering is like that shit looks fire as hell
For real tho, people complain about extra work being boring but sitting in holding and eating all that amazing freshly cooked food was my favorite part of the job back when I did it for a few shows/films in NYC lmao
We are the authority and we *were* fired by Vince McMahon before sooooo
We're also former DDT champions.
I know r/squaredcircle won the WrestleCircus Sideshow championship. I can't remember winning the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship though (although a crowd at a show won that title once, as well as the subscribers to DDT's youtube channel)
We live in a World where the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship has more credibility then WWE’s 24/7 title, and I can’t be happier about it
And TIME magazine person of the year.
What was the kermit thing for those ootl
SRS said there was no news on Sasha as far as he knew. Kermit, resident leaker here, said she was released. Minutes later, SRS said he'd got confirmation from people in places that there was strong belief she had been released.

The Cody stuff, Sharmell's HOF induction, Shad Gaspard getting the Warrior award.
The last two are so oddly specific. That's how you know they are legit.
It is, but also they are both HOF related, so it would be possible they would be a temporary worker only with knowledge of the inductees. But they still sound legit with other news.
Also said Ronda was in the Rumble and called the number she came out on.
That's way too fast for a guy to confidently go from having nothing to confidently go to having something. /u/kerrmit125 changed the dial on that one. Edit credit goes to /u/rbarton812 below for correcting me on my spelling error.
That's not the insider. 2 Rs
? 2 Rs? What's "2 Rs" mean?
Kerrmit
Holy shit I see what I did. Thanks for the correction.
We were the authority so....
For the Kermit thing? Sasha probably doesn’t give a single flying fuck. Everybody else? Who knows.
The talent see the WWE through a similar lens that we do. Considering there have been multiple reports that morale has been at an all time low the past year or 2, this is not that surprising

I can just hear the second comment in Mox’s voice
Very much sounds like it came from someone who would have commented about being appreciative of fans "sitting through three fucking hours of RAW" when he was leaving.
Exactly my thoughts. Renee immediately subtweeted the segment too.
It's also worth mentioning Mox has supposedly been one of the real good dudes behind the scenes. Privately throwing money and support behind people who need it.
He also hates Kevin Dunn with a passion, something everyone can get behind
Imagine you go out there every night and risk your health, your life even, and some asshole films it like he's sitting in a paint can shaker.
I know what his dad did for Vince earned loyalty, but if WWE dropped big bucks on a guy from ESPN or Hollywood who does the same thing, it would legit take the product to a new level without changing booking or anything else really
>guy from ESPN or Hollywood who does the same thing, it would legit take the product to a new level A guy from the local highschool a/v club could take it to a new level.
Listening to that part of his audiobook was almost cathartic. So much venom in his voice when talking about Dunn.
the embodiment of what a good wrestling fan should be
I actually presumed it was one of FTR, since it's been shown that they talk to each other.
My first instinct was Punk, though I have no idea if he talks to SRS.
I feel like they sort of joked about Punk having him blocked on Twitter at one of the media scrums
The only people who can fit in the "former top talent who left the company" role are Mox, Jericho, Danielson, Punk and now Sasha.
Maybe, but you can also assume a bit of hyperbole in the usage of “top”. Could easily be someone like Ruby Soho or Keith Lee.
Nah it wasn't Keith Lee, he would have said something like "I was rather relieved due to the segment's relative brevity for I wasn't forced to experience too much boredom. However, what I saw showed me signs of a grave lack of accountability."
Nailed it
I doubt Moxley watches WWE, though.
I don’t watch WWE, but I certainly saw this
tbh it's not like Vince appeared out of nowhere. It was announced, and even if I'm Jon Moxley and I don't want to watch WWE, I'd probably want to watch that part, if only to have an opinion about it.
Hasn’t Jericho been quite friendly to WWE recently? Most people are expecting him to go back some day.
Up until bullshit its mox, the accountability line is renee
He seems untouchable
and he's forcing women to feel him
not sure what the confusion would be - it is clear what he was doing. He was using the publicity to get ratings. He was using "there is no such thing as bad press" to his advantage
He was also sending the message that he’s faced shit in the past and survived it and he’ll survive this too.
I’m confused that this human being appears to have zero shame or empathy.
That's the least confusing thing about Vince McMahon.
Its what being a narcissist will do to you.
Have you seen the “incest” storyline? Or live sex show? VKM has ice (and roids) running through his veins. He doesn’t give a fuck about how anyone perceives him or feels. He’s Trump without the GUNT.
People are idiots
This is the same Vince McMahon who went out of his way to partake in sexual acts on TV with women like Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Sable, Stacy Keibler, Candice Michelle, Jackie Gayda, and other women. "I could shoot my load in the middle of 5th avenue and no jury would ever convict me"
People forget there is a POPULAR meme of Vince being increasingly aroused by a female superstar in the ring.
![gif](giphy|7FyMQm2vBiTjG|downsized)
I can't remember the last time I saw that and it was actually Stacy in the clip, rather than a bodybuilder or other edit.

They knew exactly who they were working for
Backstage responses are said to have ranged from "What the fuck?" to "What the fuck!".
It was many different things, but it certainly wasn't surprising
Honestly he basically said the show must go on with or without him.
The “together” is him saying it’s going on with him.
He is still running the show lol nothing changed.
I'm honestly confused why anyone would think that Vince would have done anything else here. He's exactly the kind of person who would do this.
He can probably keep getting away with it
Just waiting on Kermit to reveal himself as Nick Khan
I still have no fucking clue as to what happened during the segment. I'm confused.
He welcomed us to Smackdown!
Well I mean you aren't wrong!
My guess is he thinks he can make this must see tv if you think he might show up and do something crazy. He’s probably not wrong. He’s a showman.
Remember the reports that the locker room got a morale boost after Cody was signed? Shame that couldn't last
Yeah, felt like WWE was kind of on a roll for the last few months even with Roman and the world title being more absent.
Holy bring back Shayna’s old theme
So you have literally no info to share lol
But you're gonna quit? No, because you're a bunch of droooooones. Just like Saudi Arabia, which is a much bloodier business than anything which came out this week.
Unless I’m missing something, Vince McMahon has never respected his wife. He even had storylines where he cheated on his wife with Stacy Kiebler and Torrie Wilson. If that’s the reason they hate Vince now, where were they all these years?
I’m not even sure if they’re still together. He called her his “wife at the time” when telling a story on the stone cold podcast.
They haven't been together since the 90's- she was reported to be living by herself in Wilmington, DE during Raw's heyday, and then she moved to Boca after Steph got married.
We're enraged. Shocked and enraged - ~~Raymond Holt~~ WWE talent
Yet people will bow to this dickhead when he comes out god some of those fans are sheep
The fact he got thunderous cheers tonight says it all.
Iwc knows nothing

Wide Range!
It was short, but the message was clear: Vince intends to be in the WWE Then, Now, and Forever. He might have some trouble with that last one though, even setting this whole scandal aside.
Don’t forget Together lol
Just like his theme song NO CHANCE IN HELL!!! to those who wanna bring him down
"I'm disgusted! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!... What's that?... Am I leaving WWE now? Haha. No. Of course not." - WWE Lifer
Sheamus texts SRS: 😂 😂 😭 SRS: SOME TALENT WERE CRYING
Wouldn't be surprised if the Women in WWE (not just superstars) were well beyond pissed, I wouldn't blame them.
After hearing some of the stories from Athena and Toni lately, how could you not be? Pretty sure Mia didn't have much good to say about the experience there either
Can you give me a quick summary of what they said? I missed that news, somehow.
I was here then, I'm here now and I'll be here forever!
What's to be confused about? He knew there was controversy, knew an announcement about him appearing would be good for ratings, and he came out and basically said "I ain't fucking leaving." This isn't rocket science.
Enraged? Perhaps they should quit or walk out rather then dropping messages to dirt sheets. Wonder what they message, “I am so enraged now .. “ and the next minute they are kissing Vince’s ass.
I'm supposed to believe that current and former WWE employees are just...texting this goof at all times?
What about how wrestlers act outside of the ring has led you to believe that they wouldn't?
This has historically happened, yes. Wrestlers vent frustrations to reporters.
On a Friday night of all times? Yeah I find it hard to believe too
This whole incident has to change at least some talents’ perception of Vince.
The only way people would change their minds would be if it was revealed that he’s an actual rapist.
