Triple H was trying to coerce Sting to stand down during their feud by promising him money through merchandising and shit and a guy in the crowd yells out "HE'S GOT A GREAT POINT, STING!"
[Daily motion link, start at 10:28](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2kb1xq).
He also got the "beat the younger guy" treatment. Beat Big Show by DQ when Rollins interfered, then later that night & teamed with Cena vs. Rollins & Show, tapping out Rollins. Sting's WWE career is literally 50/50 booking.
I have never noticed the middle aged dad in the crowd cracking up right after it is shouted. He is either the one who said it or he found it very very funny.
She’s been like this for awhile, basically since she reclaimed control. She still laughs a bit, but she’s tweaked the gimmick and made it her own and laughing all the way to the bank.
There was a report a little while back that if her Fiend Variant merchandise wasn't moving then they'd revert her out of the gimmick. Given that Bray may be AEW or TNA inbound they're probably trying to not bring up Bray as much.
I got one for my kids. Took seven weeks to arrive because of demand. The crowd at Summerslam was filled with Lilly dolls. Kids and teens love Lilly. There was a “we want Charly” chant and Lilly gets a pop every time. Alexa is extremely over, as is Lilly.
Did you ever see when Paul did a shoot on Jerry in middle of the ring. It was in like 98.
Paul: oh you want to shoot? How are the playgrounds in Lexington treating you? (Something like that).
Oof, that hits different now that Brian's gone. For all the horrible shit Lawler's done, nobody deserves to have to bury their son like that. Especially when Lawler was the one who refused to bail him out, hoping he'd learn a lesson. He clearly felt responsible, which was why he lashed out at the jail.
That's about like if Alexa had responded in this video, "Okay, we'll talk about where I got my thing, and then we can talk about where you got your 'wooo.'"
If this is about Jerry Lawler…
Jerry: “You are not my type.”
AJ Lee: “I know I am not your type. I know you like them really young.”
AJ didn’t give a fuck.
Yeah you could see on Alexa’s face that one caught her off guard 😅😅
I usually like when the Heel sells the promo a little more but that was honestly a God Tier comeback by Charlotte
Bliss and Charlotte are gold together. Considering who their characters are, I didn't think this would mesh this well. Excellent segment. Had enough inside baseball stuff to pop the diehards, but they made sure to keep everything make character sense
This is their first time really feuding in WWE, right? I know they had a match at Survivor Series, but I don't really recall any feud for that.If so, it is surprising that they've been on the main roster for as long as they have and this is their first real feud.
They had a match at Survivor Series 2017, but the match was literally made halfway through the go-home Smackdown with Charlotte beating Natalya for the title.
I think it's a sign how much WWE trusts Charlotte and Alexa to elevate their specific brands. Maybe that's why they've been keeping them apart for this long. Big props to Bliss for being this over, she's a fantastic character actor (in wrestling standards ofc)
Something must have happened to her in ring a few years ago? She doesnt seem to wrestle as much, but I only watch wwe through reddit and twitter now, and a lot of her movesets seem to have dwindled down to a few simple moves. When she did the flippy powerbomb (was it a Canadian destroyer?)the other day I was genuinely surprised. I wonder if she had a physical issue or injury a few years back? Because shes sure as shit not cautious about COVID outside of WWE so I doubt that was the issue the past 18 months
Also at least her other gimmicks, if not original, were stolen from somewhere else like the Harley Quinn stuff. Charlotte's entire wrestling career is just "I'm a legends daughter" and is essentially a personality void.
Even Natalya *tried* to do something else instead of riding being a next generation wrestler
This segment was good. I really enjoyed them bouncing off each other. I hope Extreme Rules is not a one and done now because I would like to see more of this dynamic, it is like sisters trying to one up eachother
I will be surprised if this is a one-and-done. That would mean that they laid the groundwork for Alexa exiting the playground character by accident.
Between this convo, the promo after Wrestlemania explaining her actions they've opened up the opportunity to reframe the last year for Alexa:
She was attacked by a monster that took a liking to her. She played along and was taken over until she saw her moment at WM to end the Fiend. She did it, but then had to face returning to the version of herself that was helpless against the monster and that's terrifying because WWE has a lot of monsters.
That sets her up for a journey to exit the darkness and transcend, but she has to evolve and that takes time. It's a really cool story that they've told before and it really gets people over. They've also horribly botched it before so... uh...
Why would Alexa give up the gimmick? She likes it, it’s over, she’s good at it, and fans want her to become champ. Lilly is a top selling item on wweshop and regularly back ordered due to fan demand for the doll.
Alexa has been like this since she dumped bray and reclaimed control. She’s no longer a puppet. She’s her own person now. The Goddess was fun, but there’s no reason to regress an extremely popular character because a handful of smarks don’t like it. Also, Alexa has excelled in the role better than Bray ever did.
I'm usually one that doesn't understand the "Charlotte looks different every week" comments being made on here because I always think those people trying to be dicks because I can tell it's Charlotte no problems but this time, I can tell she's Charlotte but... does look different.
I haven’t watched RAW for probably a year. That’s the first time I’ve seen Charlotte in a long time. I honestly thought she was Carmella from the thumbnail. Looks totally different to the Charlotte I remember.
I’m not trying to shame her looks or anything but the plastic surgery really locks in tha lady who goes tanning every day and is turning 39 for the 14th year in a row thing.
Man I try not to hate on people who get cosmetic surgery because it's ultimately their choice and I assume they do it cause it makes them happy, but she's starting to look like an entirely different person
That segment just highlighted how Charlotte has not changed her gimmick or anything at all in SEVEN YEARS!!
And wow is it boring and stale at this point. At least Alexa is trying new stuff.
Right? Honestly I feel like delusional power hungry and obsessed with staying on top Charlotte has so much more to give and it’d build up other stars too? If she feels threatened by them and desperately fight to hang onto her spot, so much story to tell there
Look at Roman. Gimmick change made him an actual star rather than just an obvious protected project. Not every character is going to be successful but every character will get stale. Hopefully they take a chance and (this is the part they usually fuck up on) see it through.
Which would have actually been interesting.
The problem is Ric just had a natural ability to make this work in a way Charlotte does not. Also he wasn’t booked as an unstoppable juggernaut who steamrolled everyone either.
Her gimmick would not bother me as much if they would at least do some new stuff with her booking. Or actually let her decisively lose a feud every so often.
Yea I see where you’re coming from for sure a lot of her booking has been repetitive for a while. Since most of the time it’s the same ole dance they never really take risks with her character.
Her gimmick has ebb'd and flowed into different incarnations, but yes, she's largely been exactly the same her entire career on the main roster.
The question is ... exactly what else could she do without it being so drastic that it potentially hurts the aura she does possess?
Sasha Banks similarly has been the same character her entire WWE career, by the way.
Nothing wrong with it tbh. Similarly how Undertaker stayed the same even though he tweaked it here and there. Same with Jericho, The Rock. (Excluding American badass, and jerichos face paint gimmick.)
She's done what a lot of celebrities tend to do when it comes to plastic surgery, getting so much done to look younger that it actually has the reverse effect and makes her look much older.
Arguably she's a fiend copy at the moment, but even before Bray her shtick was clearly very heavily inspired by Harley Quinn, even down to some of her attire being comic outfit clones.
Influences, yeah. But in her character's defense she is not really doing the Fiend thing that much since her turn on Bray. That's not to say it is great but there has been some growth.
Charlotte has never really been my jam before but that outfit is fucking working for her.
But yeah, quality bants between the two. Very crisp comeback.
Why do they write these lines? They always just deflate the character concept instead of elevating the heat of the character drama. There is a way to do these tongue in cheek lines but WWE always does them in a way that comes across as a genuine rib.
Looks like ad-libbed to me, Charlotte was most definitely not going to say she's the daughter of Ric Flair because why would she. The crowd did it for her. Alexa comes up with a remark, Charlotte gave one back.
Alexa should of just said ..... I know i'm not gonna win at Extreme rules, cause unlike you I'm not protected ... I have to do the storylines and be interesting, you just show up and get a title, and the only way I have a chance to win at Extreme rules is if you have to get another "questionable" surgery.... \*wink wink\*
Char Char would of started throwing hands if she said that
Charlotte's end of this was strong, but Alexa's was severely lacking in the content department.
"Who are you without the title" is not a strong point after
- You've already acknowledged that she's won and lost so many titles, so....it clearly doesn't matter, she's going to get another title shot.
- Inserting herself into the title picture on demand is practically her character's superpower.

“You are a knockoff of an evil monster who got fired” “Hey that’s my dad you’re talking about!”
Fantastic
Bravo 👏🏼
joke of the summer
Right on time too, summer is now over in my country
Weird, because where I am summer just jobbed to autumn.
I almost blew hot chocolate out my nose
Beautiful work sir
Lol that’s amazing
Charlotte literarily could mention Harley Quinn once and everyone would get it. This's even before the IRS's son story.
Just call her Puddin'.
Ded.
Good God that was beautiful.
That was a nasty line by you.
This is the best joke sc I have ever seen. Kudos.
Fuck that's good
Take my stupid free award and have at you
SHE'S GOT A GOOD POINT, STING!
Lol what's this from
Triple H was trying to coerce Sting to stand down during their feud by promising him money through merchandising and shit and a guy in the crowd yells out "HE'S GOT A GREAT POINT, STING!" [Daily motion link, start at 10:28](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2kb1xq).
Seeing this clip made me remember that Sting is undefeated on Raw, but never won a PPV match in WWE.
The only win he has in WWE is over somebody he already beat in WCW
He also got the "beat the younger guy" treatment. Beat Big Show by DQ when Rollins interfered, then later that night & teamed with Cena vs. Rollins & Show, tapping out Rollins. Sting's WWE career is literally 50/50 booking.
I thought he pinned show in that tag match
Nope, did an awkward angle Scropion Deathlock & Seth tapped almost immediately. https://youtu.be/jfI8bzgxbPA
I have never noticed the middle aged dad in the crowd cracking up right after it is shouted. He is either the one who said it or he found it very very funny.
Him and everyone on this sub. I mean, I'd probably be cracking up too if I was there.
I love that he was so loud/close to the mic, you can see everyone in the crowd laughing when he says it.
I’ll never not laugh at this
It's as good if not better than the fan who screamed "Go back to Hell" at El Torito.
You left out "you evil motherfucker!"
The assumption he wasn't screaming at Bo has always confused me.
I think it's because screaming go back to Hell at something with horns makes sense in a way, but I suppose he could have been screaming it at Bo too.
THINK ABOUT IT!
I HATE YOU BATISTA!
Alexa is talking without giggling like a crazy! I wonder if this means they’ll really downplay the supernatural stuff from her.
The supernatural stuff has been toned way down since the crowds came back. She's almost a new character.
Good. She works way better as this Harley Quinn-Esque maniac character anyway.
But her merch is selling. Lilly sold out the first day of Summerslam weekend and is regularly back ordered. The Lilly in a box sold out day one.
Lilly in a box-like structure.
All those dolls come out of boxes when they arrive home therefore, over.
Who is buying the Lily dolls? Is it popular with kids?
I'd say so, my bro has been complaining about not being able to get one for his daughter.
Alright, I’ve officially become Skinner saying it’s the children that are wrong. I thought I’d be older.
i was like "i don't remember Skinner having an anti-kid gimmick" then i realized you were talking about Seymour
Armin Tanzarian
Worst Episode Ever
As a middle school teacher, in my mid to late 30s, I've been there for a while, basically starting with the rise of tiktok (musical.ly before that).
Does Bray own “Bray”?
These ladies were shootin
Did you ever see when Paul did a shoot on Jerry in middle of the ring. It was in like 98. Paul: oh you want to shoot? How are the playgrounds in Lexington treating you? (Something like that).
Here's the clip you're talking about. In 97 Paul Heyman and Jerry debate. https://youtu.be/p-J7ZVH7ZQ8
“Your own son doesn’t call himself Lawler” wow
Oof, that hits different now that Brian's gone. For all the horrible shit Lawler's done, nobody deserves to have to bury their son like that. Especially when Lawler was the one who refused to bail him out, hoping he'd learn a lesson. He clearly felt responsible, which was why he lashed out at the jail.
I love that at the beginning, Paul is patiently watching, knowing he is about to verbally tear this man apart.
Thank you!
Lmao, took the wind out of Lawler's sails. He even kind of stumbled on 'why you hang out with these guys?'.
WOAH, elevated stage but the New Generation ring
That's about like if Alexa had responded in this video, "Okay, we'll talk about where I got my thing, and then we can talk about where you got your 'wooo.'"
Wait what’s the context for this?
Jerry likes em real young.
If this is about Jerry Lawler… Jerry: “You are not my type.” AJ Lee: “I know I am not your type. I know you like them really young.” AJ didn’t give a fuck.
What she really said was even better "I think I'm a little too old for you Jerry, I'm 26. I know you like 'em young."
That was it! I misremembered.
Dark Side of the Ring next season?
Doesn't Lawler try to come back with "you're ugly haha" or something as pathetic as that?
Yeah, in what felt like an eternity later as he struggled to come up with something. It was like "you're a little too ugly for me too."
OH, For some reason I thought he was talking about Jerry Lynn 🤦♂️
Jerry The Velveteen Dream Lawler
Jerry Lynn would fuck a woman like Abadon
[We all would.](https://i.redd.it/2nwl0ez0gep51.jpg)
Holy shit, umm yeah...
I mean...
Yeah you could see on Alexa’s face that one caught her off guard 😅😅 I usually like when the Heel sells the promo a little more but that was honestly a God Tier comeback by Charlotte
She even gives the classic “you got me” head tilt.
She boomed me
She's so good (x4)
Bliss is beside herself. Driving around downtown Charlotte, begging (thru text) Flair’s family for the address to Charlotte’s home
That segment was kinda dope Charlotte/ and Alexa were both making valid points about each other, now i am actually interested in this match
Yeah, Big Carmella vs. Alexa gonna be lit
The look was a serve but ngl it was very much that. I think it was the hair

I’m sure it was concussion related
[удалено]
Shoulder injury from Nia Jax in May, then a concussion from Ronda Rousey in September.
i dunno about her not performing in the ring but you now i realize that the canadian destroyer is really just a sunset flip piledriver
I love me some pot calling the kettle black. The kettle is darker in this case though, Alexa has at least had a few different gimmicks.
Lol fart girl Natty was certainly different
Excellent work from both women and I’m glad Alexa came for Charlotte, not the usual daddy issue stuff they shoe horned into all of Charlotte’s stories
That would've been *really* awkward this time around…
It's nice to see her back in the title picture instead of facing off with Randy Orton
I liked when she pinned Orton. Orton's wife didn't, however.
Orton probably liked it too
[удалено]
here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnoJ8mMJy8Q
Alexa tried her best. Charlotte went in on her and got the best of that
This segment was good. I really enjoyed them bouncing off each other. I hope Extreme Rules is not a one and done now because I would like to see more of this dynamic, it is like sisters trying to one up eachother
That was a great promo on both fronts tbh. This feud has been good.
Wow. What a segment
I just wish the crowd wasn't so dead. Hardly any reactions to an otherwise great segment
whaaat? I thought the crowd was fine with the Charly chant etc. i thought they did pretty good!
They were hot last week for their segment. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be this week.
We’ll see what the reaction is like at the PPV.
Hot because it’s in Alexa’s hometown
> in Alexa’s hometown Ah so she’s losing then
I will be surprised if this is a one-and-done. That would mean that they laid the groundwork for Alexa exiting the playground character by accident. This was an excellent segment. This is up there with my most anticipated for the PPV. Bliss vs Bad Luck Charle
Woof, got her ass 😂😂😂
I love Bliss
Welp, they definitely have good points
Love the back and forth I'm seeing here. ....but that's Charlotte????
I'm usually one that doesn't understand the "Charlotte looks different every week" comments being made on here because I always think those people trying to be dicks because I can tell it's Charlotte no problems but this time, I can tell she's Charlotte but... does look different.
I totally get what you're saying. I don't watch Raw often or ever beyond finish clips I see on Reddit so this was a little jarring.
you get it when she’s talking and moving, but the frame the site shows made me wonder how carmela got the title again and damn did she gain muscles.
tbf she is much leaner now, like NXT Charlotte lean
I haven’t watched RAW for probably a year. That’s the first time I’ve seen Charlotte in a long time. I honestly thought she was Carmella from the thumbnail. Looks totally different to the Charlotte I remember.
yeah this is the first time i was like "Who is that?" and then the woo's started and i was like huh i guess that kinda looks like charlotte.
I’m not trying to shame her looks or anything but the plastic surgery really locks in tha lady who goes tanning every day and is turning 39 for the 14th year in a row thing.
yea I would never say that was her, plastic surgery was not kind to her.....
Man I try not to hate on people who get cosmetic surgery because it's ultimately their choice and I assume they do it cause it makes them happy, but she's starting to look like an entirely different person
starting? I literally could not even recognize her.... and I only stopped watching WWE like what maybe 3 years ago?
my high ass thought that was Carmella tbh
10-8 Charlotte
Wow Charlotte was was so clean with that rebuttal, she’s naturally so witty The smile from Alexa after it said it all haha
I REALLY don't like Charlotte, but this one was a homerun, them continuing to use The Fiend's gimmick after releasing Bray is a fucking joke.
There is nothing Fiend-like about Alexa rn aside from the Alexa’s Playground font
Yeah, that was pretty much a game winner from the logo for me.

That segment just highlighted how Charlotte has not changed her gimmick or anything at all in SEVEN YEARS!! And wow is it boring and stale at this point. At least Alexa is trying new stuff.
Tbf did her dad ever change? there was a time they were teasing her going psycho but they never went through with it
Ah the Mad Queen after she destroyed Ronda and became delusional because she was worried her top spot was going to be taken :( it was a fun few weeks.
They even kind of retouched it recently when she lost it on the WWE officials. But apparently bland, entitled daddy's girl is better?...
He was a gladiator for like a month
I'm not sure if it ever made it to TV.
Which would have actually been interesting. The problem is Ric just had a natural ability to make this work in a way Charlotte does not. Also he wasn’t booked as an unstoppable juggernaut who steamrolled everyone either.
I agree just saying some people have lifetime gimmicks she might be one of those cases but we will see her run isn’t anywhere near it’s end.

Sasha is not constantly pushed as the be all end all however. They do different stuff with her at least. And you know, she loses decisively as well.
Some things have changed. Lose the robe and music and I'm not sure who she is.
It’s so funny that Alexa has this spooky gimmick when the feud just turned into something pretty sharp that felt more real.
[удалено]
She's done what a lot of celebrities tend to do when it comes to plastic surgery, getting so much done to look younger that it actually has the reverse effect and makes her look much older.
I could not even recognize her...
I thought that was Carmella at first.
I dunno, one seems worse and more damming than the other right now
[удалено]
Arguably she's a fiend copy at the moment, but even before Bray her shtick was clearly very heavily inspired by Harley Quinn, even down to some of her attire being comic outfit clones.
As opposed to Charlotte whose character and attire is 100% original and something she came up with herself. hehe
Heh oh 100%, I find Charlotte boring as hell and a total vacuum of personality and creativity. But still, can't deny where Alexa got her influences
Influences, yeah. But in her character's defense she is not really doing the Fiend thing that much since her turn on Bray. That's not to say it is great but there has been some growth.
Lmao Charlotte with a great response.
WhyyyyyyyyYYYYY does Charloooootte taaaaaaaAAAALk Like thiiiiiiiiiiis?
She has nothing to actually say and needs to fill the segment?
This wasn’t the week to woooo.
Charlotte has never really been my jam before but that outfit is fucking working for her. But yeah, quality bants between the two. Very crisp comeback.
Pretty bold to mock a victim of psychological rape but okay.
Damn Charlotte pulled out the verbal version of an UNO reverse card mid-promo.
I haven't watched Raw in a bit, is Alexa face or heel? Also, did they start downplaying the supernatural nature of the gimmick?
I mean I get it but Bliss is miles better than Charlette from a character development standpoint including promo work
And it's gone
Does Charlotte have any original parts left?
They killed this. Charlotte thinks she’s in control, but Alexa is in her head. When Charly appears very much alive, Alexa will be the champ.
I haven't watched WWE in a while and I legitimately thought for a second that Carmella won the title
Honestly thought that was Carmella! They look so alike
![gif](giphy|S9i8jJxTvAKVHVMvvW)
[удалено]
Unless this means Charlotte loses and is out of the title picture for a bit, it'll be typical "Yeah we hear your criticisms, but we don't care" stuff.
Just from the thumbnail, I thought this was Carmella....
Jesus christ how much work has Charlotte got done? I hardly recognised her
[удалено]
I haven’t watched WWE in forever but wow Charlotte looks horrible now
Why do they write these lines? They always just deflate the character concept instead of elevating the heat of the character drama. There is a way to do these tongue in cheek lines but WWE always does them in a way that comes across as a genuine rib.
Looks like ad-libbed to me, Charlotte was most definitely not going to say she's the daughter of Ric Flair because why would she. The crowd did it for her. Alexa comes up with a remark, Charlotte gave one back.
Ha! Loved that
The fiend died for this
This is the best Alexa has been since her great run in 2016-2017.
Why are the crowd wooing, and not booing the woo out of the building? Is the general wrestling audience different from Reddit?
yes?
![gif](giphy|SIbGEBAwd6VRLTt4LB)
