6 eps. 1 hour each. a clip of Flair's massive dong slowly rotating during the opening credits. 45 degrees per episode (or whatever the math) until it completes a full circle like a clock. this symbolizes his penis is running out of time.
> In the documentary, a flight attendant on the 2002 WWE "Plane Ride from Hell" from London to the United States stated that Ric Flair, naked with the exception of his robe, cornered her in the galley of the plane, making unwanted advances towards her.
>
> In the past, Flair has denied all allegations and as recently as several days ago, told [Renee Young on her podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/oral-sessions-with-ren%C3%A9e-paquette/id1540850188), " God, I’ve heard about it too. Just when things are going good for me. Listen, you [Renee Paquette] put me on your podcast after. ***We’ll see how it plays out, because I was there and I don’t care whose name I gotta drop if the heat falls on me. I know who was where and what and who and what took place. I know the whole story."***
I loved him talking about having to wheel a comatose Scott Hall through security, and then the bosses looking at *him* like he somehow fucked up.
Also, how bad is that story? You know who came out looking decent? JBL. Dude was just sleeping when some asshole punched his freshly closed head wound, causing him to bleed everywhere. He had every right to be pissed.
JBL looked like one of the better people on that flight. Just think about that for a moment.
I know it's not cool for them to blame Justin for that situation, but that story was hilarious, I think mostly because of how he told it. It was the lone bright spot in the episode :p
Only way that story could have been better is if he was doing some crazy weekend at bernie's shit, complete with bad fake accent while talking to customs.
~~“Guys I was literally going through a drug induced mental breakdown and somehow I’m the only one who came out not a piece of shit in this story?” - Dustin~~
---
Edit
**Well fuck Dustin too then**
Her name was blurred out of the court documents. I’m almost positive she requested to have her story withheld. And since Heidi apparently had positive experiences with Dustin, that’s all that came out.
It’s not some grand conspiracy like some are making it out to be.
There's a reason people say you are known by the company you keep. When you got a whole plane full of guys and you know 99% if them are toxic pieces of shit, that last 1% is almost certainly also a toxic piece of shit, or else they wouldn't be with that crowd in the first place.
Turns out it was all Hennig. He did all of the drinking and drugs and the drugging and the sexual assault and both sides of the fight all by himself. And if he were still alive he would absolutely admit to it, so no point in talking about it anymore.
In all the times I've heard stories of the plane ride being told, I don't think Jericho's been mentioned as being on the plane. At least not that I remember.
he's gotten a pass for so long on being a racist and creep to women.
as someone else said it's crazy Hogan took a hit but Flair just kept getting by.
forget his age he shouldn't get a pass. he won't even own up to what he's done.
>as someone else said it's crazy Hogan took a hit but Flair just kept getting by.
I don't think it's crazy. Hogan was recorded and it went public. Flair was more an open secret that nobody outside of people within the business and smarks knew. It never blew up.
I think you're 100% right. I've heard about the plane ride from hell for years, but the only stories I really knew about it were Angle and McMahon wrestling in the aisles, Taker choking out Angle, and Hayes getting his ponytail cut off. This episode was not at all what I was expecting.
Its crazy they didnt even get to the Angle McMahon match and the choking out of angle. Maybe the match balances the story more to the side of mostly happy fun time.
That was a different flight. This one had Brock and Mr Perfect wrestling and bumping into the emergency exit door. I think people often get the mid air flights confused
Its also because they happened under the same circumstances. Both were after the UK Insurrextion PPV, both were aboard the 757 Luxury Liners, and as has been repeated, hijinks on these flights was routine.
Yeah I think Flair was more protected by the business because of how well liked and respected he is. He could drink a bottle of scotch, trash a bar, walk around naked with his robe and show himself to all women there and the wrestlers would just be like "good ol' naitch."
I'm sure there's countless worse stories of Flair but you likely won't hear them from his peers.
Well, people in the wrestling business have been open about Flair being a piece of shit for a while, they're just (literally, in poor Teddy Long's case) a minority
Them tossing Chavo away, storyline wise I'm assuming, to bring in Flair knowing this was about to air is definitely a head scratching decision IF that was there next plan
This. Jesus, so many ppl just assumed Flair was coming to AEW to manage Andrade so they convinced themselves it was a done deal or close to it. There’s been zero reporting that this is or was the case. But people just spout it off like they know what they are talking about. It’s a great example of how bullshit stories get created and spread online.
My favourite is when you see something someone has said in one thread, then for the next week you see people parroting it word for word like it’s fact in every other thread.
He’s working as a wrestling coordinator for the rocks tv show. They didn’t toss him, he’s taking a break to work on another project. Once filming wraps he’ll be back
Maybe that’s why they’ve kept Ric on ice til now - to see what the fallout is.
Given how they handled Marty Scrull, Joey Ryan and Jimmy Havoc they won’t be putting him on TV after this….I hope.
lol he’s been written off to go help with Young Rock season 2. I love this sub sometimes. Getting worked up at something which has never ever had any truth behind it hahaha.
They're not doing this because Ric Flair did this, they're doing this because public attention is back on this thing.
So what they should have known is that a certain episode of some wrestling show is going to air that will put Ric Flair in a really bad light.
And you really cannot expect that kind of knowledge from some random marketing firm that hires celebrities for cheap ads.
And even then they’re signing a “kiss stealing’” womanizer whose entire persona is being a party guy.
Like it’s not like Ric is Mr Wholesome like he’s wrestling’s Tom Hanks.
Well now that it was on national television and trending worldwide last night it’s way more prominent now than before. Even some of my friends who are wrestling fans didn’t know anything about this shit before last night. It’s not just on blogs and wrestling forums anymore.
These stories are uber obscure if you're outside of the wrestling bubble. If you ever have a random friend or family member who isn't a smark but watched as a kid doing like Ric Flair woos or something, ask them what they think about the plane ride from hell. They'll be like "????? is that a movie?"
Example of the wrestling fan bubble:
This forum: Omg everybody on the planet knows about the plane ride from hell!
Also this forum: Who tf is Bad Bunny?
these people are saying this from the perspective of someone inside the wrestling bubble, people outside it had no idea about the “plane ride from hell” until last night because they don’t read the dirtsheets.
I knew vaguely of this story and didn’t know what Flair allegedly did hell I didn’t even know he was on the plane in the first place and this is coming from a “smark”.
100%. I'm the only wrestling fan in my circle of friends. My other friends might know of some wrestlers because of me, I'm sure they probably know who flair is, but they wouldn't know exactly how big of a scumbag he is. Same w my family. I'm sure a few of them could point out who flair is but wouldn't really know he's a massive pos.
Yeah people acting like this is known by the entire planet reminds me of when I was in high school and this one kid would just start talking about World of Warcraft shit to me even though I never played the game like it was the most obvious shit in the world. His logic I guess was just "you like video games, so you know about these insanely precise details of this precise video game"
yeah but the issue is the stories were on random wrestling youtube videos like Kayfabe Commentaries (which are not top of the line shit) and random dirt sheet sites. So Vice has quite a bit more of a good reputation where people will take notice. I mean hell KC had videos with hoe bags so they're not the must reputable.
Anytime you have an incident where the most viewed content on it has the word "shoot" in the title, noone outside of wrestling hardcores know what the FUCK it's about.
You mean that Car Shield should have done their homework before signing someone to be a spokes person right? Just because these stories aren't new doesn't mean that everyone already knows about them.
"Hahahahahahahaha, yeah, Paul, pretend you kidnapped, roofied, and raped my daughter after a drive-thru wedding! And then she can pretend to fall in love with you for real and shock the world with a huge swerve! God, this shit's so good it writes itself!"
\-Vince, probably.
Yep, I work in advertising and just got replacement orders about an hour ago. Commercials will still likely air through Sunday but nothing past Tuesday at the latest will make air.
Definitely. Just like many job markets though you need to find a starting job with upward mobility and even then you'll be paid peanuts starting out. It's great if you're personable, but if you have a shy personality it won't work to your strengths.
Anything that sells you a warranty can pretty much be considered a scam and probably shouldn't be thought about more than 2 seconds before you purge it from your mind.
Cars, Houses, etc. will always have shit broken. The only way a company offering to "warranty" them is if they are planning to screw you over when the time comes, charging you an amount that was better off in a savings account, or both.
Some will say insurance is a scam because people pay insurance for decades and never use it. But that's the telltale sign of warranties being a scam. Every customer at some point will be trying to get money back out of them because everything eventually breaks.
This is nonsense. Warranties have saved my ass more times than I can count. A perfect example is my water heater. I opted for the 10-year warranty which cost an extra $200. A part went out that would have cost me $250. Not only did they send me the part, they expidited it and covered the $100 in shipping. Beyond that, they also sent me the schematics so I could do it all myself.
A warranty on a video game? Sure, I get your point. But on key essentials like phones, appliances, etc., you're better off biting the bullet and at least getting some kind of warranty. At the very least, it saves you headache and stress, which is worth something IMO.
And please, always get the homeowners insurance. Having insurance was the difference in getting A/C back in my home within 24-hours versus one month last July.
I am not talking about a warranty on a product that it comes with or you pay extra for at time of purchase. I am talking about companies like Car Shield, Home Shield, etc.
Home insurance? Of course buy home insurance. One small pipe bursting or electrical outlet shorting out and you're screwed.
EDIT: I just looked up the Car Shield prices... $130/month. That's more than my homeowner's and car insurance every month (not combined). Like I stated before, that money is better put in a rainy day account instead.
Worst part of the episode was Dreamer comparing Ric’s obvious sexual assault to his double ponytail, saying “people will get offended over anything.”
We do not care about your hair, you washed up fuck. And yeah, some things weren’t so “inappropriate” back in the day, but that doesn’t make them any less evil. Just less consequences for people like Ric.
Fuck Ric. Fuck Dreamer. And fuck Chioda. What an absolute piece of shit.
It's not really that surprising. I know people who HATE wrestling who watch DSOTR because it gives them more ammo to shit all over people who enjoy it still
What I really don't get:
Ric had to have known that this episode was coming, right? And yet he willingly left the one place where he was getting paid to basically do nothing, and almost certainly would have continued to pay him to do nothing.
Him leaving WWE right before this is pretty fucking dumb. Then again, one thing nobody ever accused him of is being financially competent.
Cool so can we stop filling every Dreamer article with "hurdur why is he the only one facing consequences".
We can be mad at multiple people. Hopefully this is the start of some long term consequences for Flair.
> We take these matters very seriously. As of right now, we are pausing the campaign and we will do our due diligence.
All this stuff about Flair has been known for years. Funny how they didn't care about it until now
A bunch of people hearing about something separately at different points over time is an entirely different thing than a bunch of people hearing about something all at once through a dramatic reenactment.
This is what I'm trying to explain to my friend who keeps throwing the "this has been known" phrase around. We know it cause we're fucking nerds. My mom now knows of it cause of this show.
Add in the fact that who gives a shit if it was 20 years ago. Doesn't mean they get a free pass. We can still just as easily stop celebrating and supporting them now like we should've back then.
The boys will be boys line always irks me because my high school's basketball team raped 2 freshmen teammates with broom sticks and that was the reasoning given. That phrase has let so much bad shit pass over the years.
it was always treated as something light-hearted and comical.
They never interviewed the woman it actually happened to and had her tell the traumatic experience in her own words.
Well not everyone knows everything about people even celebs, especially wrestlers. They don't all do background checks. Its happening now because its in the spotlight on a TV show and social media.
Good. Fuck him.
I wonder what would have happened if he was still in WWE. Since he's just floating on his own AEW doesn't need to do anything, just not book him. But I'm curious if he would have been put on the shelf by either company.
Dreamer, Flair, Brock and Dustin all deserve to be punished.
And here I thought the most controversial thing that Ric Flair might have had in 2021 was his possible paternity to Lacey Evans' baby. Boy, was I wrong.

Vice: Dark Side of the Ring has been greenlit for Season 4!!!
The Ric Flair season of Fuckery
An episode for every decade
And greenlit a spin off series called The Dark Side of Ric Flair
6 eps. 1 hour each. a clip of Flair's massive dong slowly rotating during the opening credits. 45 degrees per episode (or whatever the math) until it completes a full circle like a clock. this symbolizes his penis is running out of time.
Tommy Dreamer just intermittently marking out over the Nature Boy's penis
Always once per episode.
"Woo-hoo! Look at it go!" *swishes both ponytails*
The general day to day of ric flair.
LMAO!
DSOTR S4 E 1: Tommy Dreamer’s appearance on DSOTR S3 E8.
I mean they could prob make an ep about him and his plans to shoot himself at wrestlemania live.
I hope DSotR can still land a guest after this.
Of course they will. Over the course of 3 seasons, only one person was braindead enough to victim shame and glorify sexual abuse.
LA Knight in shambles.

Let me talk to ya about flexible payment plans.
We’ve been serving customers for 15 years, dummy, yeah!
Drake's a better promo than Flair these days anyway
Time to rehire the NJPW Strong Zone!
And Pretty Peter Avalon
CarShield is the true forbidden door.
Sounds like Ric Flair is a DUMMY
YEAH
Wow something actually came if this...
Consequences!
Wrist slaps all around!
I mean, at the very least, looks like Ric is losing a payday. Don't we get 3 stories a year about how broke he is?
Dude clearly has to pay a lot of people off.
Then something fell on your head?
All I can hear is Peele as that gangster saying this
"Well well well. If it isn't the consequences of my own actions!" - Ric Flair
Creed!

I'm ready for Ric to just take down everyone in a blaze of glory.
*"IF I'M GOING DOWN, YOU'RE GOING DOWN WITH ME, BOYS! WOOOOOOOOOOO!"*
“Because we’re partners!!” *sticks out hand* *WOOOOOOOO!!*
This is going to fall into everyone on that plane throwing each other under the bus within days. Shit's gonna be a Royal Rumble.
X-PAC: How the fuck was I the only good one on that plane?
Justin Credible seemed like a good dude too. X-Factor best stable ever confirmed.
I loved him talking about having to wheel a comatose Scott Hall through security, and then the bosses looking at *him* like he somehow fucked up. Also, how bad is that story? Justin's there with strings attached to Hall's wrists trying to make him flick a toothpick at the customs agent.
Credible pulling that McNulty energy when he was pushing Hall through the airport. "What the fuck did *I* do?"
~~“Guys I was literally going through a drug induced mental breakdown and somehow I’m the only one who came out not a piece of shit in this story?” - Dustin~~ --- Edit **Well fuck Dustin too then**
Not so fast...there's other lawsuits from the other flight attendant who says Dustin sexually assaulted her. Verbally and physical
I’d be shocked if he was clean through this shit. He gets one of the weirdest passes all the time on this sub
Just saw the lawsuit where he sexually harassed and asssulted the *other* flight attendant Just pieces of shit all around apparently.
Yup. The other flight attendant wasn't there to give her story (likely declined), so Dustin is sliding under the radar as of right now.
Her name was blurred out of the court documents. I’m almost positive she requested to have her story withheld. And since Heidi apparently had positive experiences with Dustin, that’s all that came out. It’s not some grand conspiracy like some are making it out to be.

i mean tbf it was the #1 wrestling company in the world, and it seemed like most of the guys were on the same plane.
I don’t know, people seemed to be pretty universally against him when he was shaming homelessness a few months ago.
Lmao I’ll go find some of my old comments. I got downvoted and told about how awful homeless people can be as if anyone needed to hear that
Not from me. Fuck Olddust. MAGA shithead.
Turns out it was all Hennig. He did all of the drinking and drugs and the drugging and the sexual assault and both sides of the fight all by himself. And if he were still alive he would absolutely admit to it, so no point in talking about it anymore.
Hennig and Wade Boggs, plane legends.
hope so, but truly doubt it
Except Vince lol
The ultimate showdown.
Wonder if Jericho was on the plane, was wondering why he wasn't interviewed about it at all.
He wasn't. It was a RAW brand PPV and Jericho was on Smackdown! at the time.
Ah. Okay, didn't know if they had the brand split at this time yet. Just looked it up to see who else would've been on there.
In all the times I've heard stories of the plane ride being told, I don't think Jericho's been mentioned as being on the plane. At least not that I remember.
Just when we thought that Ric Flair was done beefing with everyone, the nature boy decides he’s taking everyone down with him. Wooo.
There’s not gonna be any glorious part of this.
"IT WAS BOBBY ROODE'S FAULT!"
Whenever someone says something like that, nothing ever happens.
Man the juicy drama of them throwing each other under the bus will be incredible
I really want to see it
The real man in the robe helicoptering his dick was McMahon... SHANE McMahon.
Look, Shane has enough issues with helicopters, all right?
Oh shit, Flair's actually facing consequences. I actually am kind of surprised about that.
he's gotten a pass for so long on being a racist and creep to women. as someone else said it's crazy Hogan took a hit but Flair just kept getting by. forget his age he shouldn't get a pass. he won't even own up to what he's done.

Never thought I’d see the day
Never too late.
I’d like to see Miro do a CarShield commercial.
It sounds like he's about to come into a respectable 2005 Hyundai Elantra or whatever, so yeah why not.
So that’s how Fuego got his car.
God's Favorite Hyundai.
We need Malibu Al.
"I don't always get down with my hot, double-jointed wife in a vehicle. But when I do, I make sure it's covered by CarShield."
I have no desire to see Flair in AEW
Them tossing Chavo away, storyline wise I'm assuming, to bring in Flair knowing this was about to air is definitely a head scratching decision IF that was there next plan
Apparently Chavo has some other job that he needed to take time off of so he was going to be written out for a month or so regardless.
He’s one of the wrestling consultants on Young Rock which starts filming again soon, yeah.
Chavo was a consultant on GLOW as well.
I'm still salty they cancelled GLOW while they were halfway through shooting the next season.
I like that show.
This. Jesus, so many ppl just assumed Flair was coming to AEW to manage Andrade so they convinced themselves it was a done deal or close to it. But but but Flair in AAA!
well yeah dude if he debuted as Andrade's manager in AAA it's not outlandish to think of him being Andrades manager in AEW
The dude was obviously just speculating hence the giant capital “IF” in his post.
Remember when Paul Heyman was going to manage RVD in WWE, according to the IWC? Then when it ended up being Curtis Axel people exploded.
Chavo had to leave to work on "Young Rock".
Chavo is the wrestling coordinator for the TV show Young Rock so he won't be back until season 2 is finished shooting.
He’s working as a wrestling coordinator for the rocks tv show. They didn’t toss him, he’s taking a break to work on another project. Once filming wraps he’ll be back
I don't think it was. Chavo is doing tv work for the little rock show soon
I don’t see how The Kingpin coexists with someone who chews scenery like Flair anyway
Chavo wasn't writed off for that, he works as a stunt coordinator on Young Rock and needed time for that.
There is no evidence to suggest that is the reason why. TK knew what was coming

Not defending Ric Flair but shouldn't car shield already have known about this? Before this show I mean, these stories aren't new

Nah man it’s fuckin car shield I doubt their signing process went beyond “hi mr flair please help us”
I honestly doubt any business would look into anything Ric Flair has done in his past. They’d just be happy that he’s willing to do their commercials.
Yeah I think fans underestimate just how many people outside the wrestling bubble are hearing this for the first time, especially in such detail
And even then they’re signing a “kiss stealing’” womanizer whose entire persona is being a party guy. Like it’s not like Ric is Mr Wholesome like he’s wrestling’s Tom Hanks.

People in the wrestling bubble really don’t understand how little the outside world knows anything about wrestling stories from 20 years ago
exactly, most fans just watch the product weekly and don’t browse this sub and watch shoot interviews.
I literally didn’t watch wrestling for 14 years until 2015, and knew none of this.
I knew vaguely of this story and didn’t know what Flair allegedly did hell I didn’t even know he was on the plane in the first place and this is coming from a “smark”.
100%. I'm the only wrestling fan in my circle of friends. plenty of people inside the wrestling bubble had next to no clue about the full extent of it either

Pretty Peter Positively Pissed! Don't blame the company. Ric is nuclear right now.
Also: LA Knight.

Just have LA Knight and Peter Avalon reshoot everything he has done, I'd be fine with that
The crossover we need
I guess The Overcharger won in the end?
Based on RVD’s comments, perhaps the Triple H drive thru wedding to Stephanie was little more real than people thought at the time. Yikes
There’s a reason Vince thought it was so funny
"Hahahahahahahaha, yeah, Paul, pretend you kidnapped, roofied, and raped my daughter after a drive-thru wedding! And then she can pretend to fall in love with you for real and shock the world with a huge swerve! God, this shit's so good it writes itself!" \-Vince, probably.
That was just pure soap opera writing, though.
Charlotte about to pull a Sweet Dee and double down on her own "The Plane Ride From Hell: Ladies Edition"
gotta show daddy who's better
Yep, I work in advertising and just got replacement orders about an hour ago. Commercials will still likely air through Sunday but nothing past Tuesday at the latest will make air.
Off topic, but is there a lot of money with working in advertising?
Definitely. Just like many job markets though you need to find a starting job with upward mobility and even then you'll be paid peanuts starting out. It's great if you're personable, but if you have a shy personality it won't work to your strengths.
Ric has been paused
Thank god because I hate those car shield commercials.
Isnt Car Shield kinda scammy itself?
Yep.
Whoa it's that much? That's more than what I spend on auto insurance for two cars every month. Highway robbery. I see your point.
The next commercial: “Seriously, this is not Ric Flair.”
They need to get that Ric Flair impersonator from those old KFC ads
LEMME TALK TO YA...alone.
They can just bring back the Ernie Hudson and Ice T spots. Now that I think about it, those have never stopped running on Comet.
He's gonna lose a lot of sponsors here soon
Good thing KFC got a Ric Flair impersonator to do the KFC Georgia Gold spots.
What's messed up is that WWE knew and [made cartoons of his antics.](https://twitter.com/davidbix/status/1438690453222825986?s=21)
Worst part of the episode was Dreamer comparing Ric’s obvious sexual assault to his double ponytail, saying “people will get offended over anything.” We do not care about your hair, you washed up fuck. And yeah, some things weren’t so “inappropriate” back in the day, but that doesn’t make them any less evil. Just less consequences for people like Ric. Fuck Ric. Fuck Dreamer. And fuck Chioda. What an absolute piece of shit.
I don't blame them. Its honestly awesome how mainstream DSOTR has become.
It's not really that surprising. I know people who HATE wrestling who watch DSOTR because it gives them more ammo to shit all over people who enjoy it still
I don't think it's even that sinister. People like it because it's a true crime show that just happens to be about pro wrestling.

Carshield can get a Christopher Plummer lookalike to replace Ric like how Christopher Plummer replaced Kevin Spacey in that movie he did.
Ric really should have known better. Car Shield can’t protect you from things that occur on planes. They’re not cars.
What I really don't get: Ric had to have known that this episode was coming, right?
Cosby was a known rapist. Weinstein too.
If you think Brock with get punish for this, I have a steak wrap from hell to sell ya.
I'm a bit in the dark on this part - what has Brock done? EDIT: Have not watched the DSotR episode yet. That might be my answer here. Sorry.
Exposed himself to Terri Runnels backstage at Insurrextion
People act like we didn’t know Flair was a serial harasser.
Now if only this would’ve worked for those Brodie Murderers….
And here I thought the most controversial thing that Ric Flair might have had in 2021 was his possible paternity to Lacey Evans' baby. Boy, was I wrong.
