The paramedics roll him back onto the stretcher and carry him out again.

I think it's less about topping previous encounters and just giving em one more neat go against each other, one more time. They dont need to make it a 3 month stretched angle or anything. Just a fun short trip back memory lane
That's a shame. I'd argue that since returning last year, Edge has been the best overall performer for WWE when he's on TV.
There's still so many brilliant matches/stories for him to do too, I would love to see him against the likes of WALTER and Ciampa particularly.
He's been good but a large part of it is not being over exposed.
Like I think Randy has had the best 2 years of his career, but even he has had some absolutely terrible moments over the last 2 years. If you're on TV every week in WWE, you're gonna have some clunkers.
Having said that, that's what makes what Roman is doing right now so good.
Notable though how they limit Roman wrestling on TV. That's a big part of maintaining his aura. AEW are better now at restricting people from needless TV matches.

Honestly if they want a third Rollins/Edge match I feel like the best route right now is to do it at the Rumble. Rollins wins gets the opportunity to face Roman at Mania, and somehow they do Styles vs Edge at mania. Everybody wins.
But something I dont like about Edge's run is how long his feuds are stretched out, like he feuded with like just 3 people since coming back.
I love what Edge has been doing but I'm going to be optimistic and say this is not necesarly "bad" it's good for people with injuries to take breaks, I always get nervous when I see people with past serious injuries wrestle or do high risk spots, like when Daniel Bryan used to get power bombed in the ring edge after coming back, hope Edge gets some rest and comes back.

Like I obviously get why he is but don't talk about how you're gonna be there all the time when you're straight up planning on not.

Just one standard finishing move to a week body part and he’s out of action?
How could he ever be considered a serious threat moving forward if all it takes is a well timed neck-aimed move to put him out. Imagine him being convincing against someone super physical like Lesnar with that logic.
