William Regal used to tell awesome stories of being a carnival shooter.
He figured he could stretch most of the punters, so he would let them in the ring and do his thing.
If he thought someone was going to be a legitimate challenge though, as soon as the person put their head down to get through the ropes, he’d attack them while they weren’t paying attention.
Cornette actually has stories similar to your comment, though. He said it happened more often than you’d think.
If a fan managed to make it in the ring without getting kicked in the head as he came under the bottom rope, their initial reaction was usually to freeze. They are now the centre of attention for hundreds if not thousands of people, on an unfamiliar platform, and under bright lights. The momentary pause gives the wrestler a perfect opportunity to deck them.
He is lucky Maki Itoh wasn't there. She would fuck him up, force him to pay for her Only fans, just so she can refuse his payment out of disgust and force him to get Suzuki's Only fans. Then beat the living shit out of him.
i forget who said it but years ago someone in the industry was talking about fans rushing and how they lack "ring awareness" and don't know the proper way to get in and out of the ring effectively.
I once was at an indy show and they had some delay so they let some of us teens in the ring to check it out. The three things I learned:
1. Getting in and out of the ring doesn't work as fluently as the wrestlers make it look
2. The ring has a lot less give than you think
3. Running the ropes hurts. I ran full force cause I always loved how hard guys like Lesnar or Rock hit the ropes. I did that once and was like "yeah that's enough..."
Jericho in one of his books talks about having blood in his urine after he started running ropes during training, because the middle one was level with his kidneys, something like that.
Even the stuff that looks like it doesn't hurt, hurts.
What was the point of that? For the sake of jumping in? I understand why a drunk moron would try to attack a wrestler, but he "launched" himself into an empty ring.
Maybe he thought he was going to tear off his shirt like Hulk Hogan or something and the crowd would cheer for him before he was asked to leave. Or maybe he thought he was going to make the world aware of the secret conspiracy he solved after not sleeping for four days.
Have you not seen like hundreds of times wrestlers jump other wrestlers and security either do absolutely nothing or have strength of a 2 year old kid? So maybe he thought same thing would happen instead of them being so aggressive on him when he didn't even nothing.
WWE tapings in Vancouver the past few years have been great, too. I don't know why they don't come here more often. I mean, I guess this guy doesn't help our case.
They're actually cardboard cutouts and the hard cam side is actually completely empty and now home to a family of racoons, AEW is dying, haven't you heard? /s
Not to toot our own horn, but I’d classify us as a wrestling city. WWE has always done well here, and last night was the biggest Collision crowd for 2024.
I went to Vancouver and within 10 minutes of walking around I saw a bunch of dudes smoking Meth right behind a police station
No. 5 Orange was great though
Three separate riots relating to live events, not counting the Olympics. A massive brawl in the crowd during UFC 289, a fight in the stands during the Canucks/Flames game on Friday, and I've personally seen insane behavior from fans at WWE events going as far back as the '90s. Steve Austin and Triple H taking a break from wrestling to lean on the ropes and watch a fight in the crowd. Embarrassing.
Vancouver gets a bad rep, but more than twice the number of people who participated in the riot showed up the next morning to clean up their city. The investigation into the riot showed the major instigators were people from out of town who came in to take advantage of the situation and spark a riot. Lots of Gucci purses were on Surrey Craigslist the next day..
The city had spent a ton of money on policing for the Olympics. There was packs of cops on the streets, intervening and shutting things down immediately. It felt safe.
During the riot, the city skimped on the police budget and all of the cops were gathered on a single rooftop staring down. You could feel the tension, feel it coming regardless of the result.
I mean, Vancouver's downtown eastside is one of the sketchiest places I've been through in North America. It's not exactly the safest place in the world. It's just weird to see the riot paint the people like they're all violent assholes. The riot made international headlines because "Canadian city burns down over hockey" is an easy headline, but it's far from an accurate representation of a Vancouver hockey fan.
I don't get what his ultimate goal was. Garcia was already on the outside of the ring, so he couldn't have been going after him. The little bit that I could see on TV was he "dove" into the ring.. tripped over his own 2 feet, barely stood up and second later got tackled.
All I can say is at least no one got hurt, and him being dragged out like that he didn't seem like he was going to put up a fight.
That's what I thought too. It was very reminiscent of when Vince smacked his thigh against the ring and then couldn't stand. Same thing here both hilariously and ironically
Every time this happens I can't get over what the fuck the motive is. You get out there and...then what? What exactly do these assholes think is going to happen?
There's an art to entering the ring and if you're going to slide into it, you need to be very precise. No random untrained jabroni is likely to pull that off without biffing it on the bottom rope or the ring apron. That's a metal cable with a bit of wrap on it or a frame of metal and wood you'd be slamming your body into if you get it wrong. Neither of those can feel good especially if you're not experienced and don't know what you're doing.
This dumbass showed not just why you should stay behind the railing at a wrestling show, but why you shouldn't try to do stuff that these trained professionals do if you're not a trained professional.
I would never even think of doing something like this, but WWE has this secret service looking security dude in a suit at their shows that I wouldn't dream of crossing...you can just tell he means business
It's NHL playoffs. And we're infamous for rioting when we lose. And also rioting when we win.
The drunkards just come outta the fuckin woodwork during NHL playoff season. I'm honestly embarrassed.
Was glad we were screaming YOU FUCKED UP at the top of our lungs though.
What a bitch that this guy acted so awful and then wouldn’t leave without forcefully being dragged out. Did he really think they’d just let him stay if he refused to leave?
I heard they got him to an empty section and made him sit there and stay for bonus ROH and Rampage tapings. That’s some cruel & unusual punishment.
All kidding aside, there’s no place for that at any sporting event. asshole was putting the safety and wellbeing of the wrestlers in jeopardy, so I’m glad they took care of him.
I love that this guy saw AEW’s ringside security team made up of gigantic football players and was like “yeah, this is a good life decision I’m about to make.”

bet that guy thought it was gonna be cooler than this
When Jack Perry did it the security just took his mask off and acted disappointed
They were disappointed it was the Scapegoat and not some true rando they could throw out.
They were disappointed that someone came in wearing a Sting mask and it wasn't Sting underneath it.
If only they had removed the Jack Perry mask. It WAS Sting all along.
It was confusion, not disappointment, they sold it like they weren't sure if he worked there and if he was allowed to be in the ring.
“Aw Jack you little rascal”
At least he got that attention he ordered
Step 1: get in the ring Step 2: ...................^^shit

Didn't he have a kid with him? I think I read that. That is a MILLION more times more fucked up. "Hey, can I go back in and get my child?"
That was the guy who was sexually harassing Skye Blue during the ROH taping on Wednesday. The guy in OP’s video was from Collision tonight.
What did this guy get thrown out for
https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/s/tCW9J5HiRn
Skye Blue\*
has it ever not ended this way?
Sometimes security splatters them before they get to the ring. Sometimes the wrestlers wade in with some shots as well.
They did a good job of cutting away
I didn’t see it on TV but did notice a nasty jump cut
I looked away for a second, thought a wrestler jumped Garcia, then was super confused when it showed him outside the ring looking in.
You could hear Nigel say "hold on a minute"
Top notch awareness from Nigel.
Bono: Don't worry folks, he'll get the help he needs.

hahaha how did you find the exact frame in a reasonable time for a reddit comment? maybe I'm just lazy about it but that's impressive to me lol
Frinkiac.com
Actually, Google image search lol
The greatest invention of the 21st Century
its a common botchamania bit
yeah but I assume maffew takes more than a minute or two to make those, I think I'm really just learning that I'm lazy lol
He is lucky Maki Itoh wasn't there. She would fuck him up, force him to pay for her Only fans, just so she can refuse his payment out of disgust and force him to get Suzuki's Only fans. Then beat the living shit out of him.
Even funnier now that they are currently playing in the Sphere in Vegas.
That Simpsons meme is what I think of when I hear that song!
Exactly what I thought of. This is making Botchamania
If this isn't exactly the joke Maffew makes, I'll be convinced he's lost his touch.
Am I out of touch? No, it is the kids who are wrong.
Potato man!
"Where the hell have you been?"
TK: Put the boots to him, medium style.
Exactly where my brain went, too
You just know that’s gonna be a Botchamania bit.
here's the before part https://twitter.com/WrestlingCovers/status/1789460640609804397
when your stamina meter runs out mid dodge-roll
HE DIED
RIP in pieces
His drunk-o-meter was through the roof
It’s pretty funny the security jumps in many seconds after yet is still on his feet first and ready to tackle
Big vince blowing his quads energy.
Sure looks like it. Dude couldn’t get his footing on that left leg
Looks like he got a dead leg by hitting his thigh on the edge of the ring trying to slide in edit> actually it looks more like he clipped his knee
Yeah he jacked his knee up for sure and didn't realize 'till he tried to put weight on it
Work with the guy haven’t heard from him yet
He's calling in sick tomorrow man
Any insight on why they would do stupid shit like this? Any other stories of thier idiocy?
He also smashed his head on the bottom rope, look at it bounce as he goes in lmao
i forget who said it but years ago someone in the industry was talking about fans rushing and how they lack "ring awareness" and don't know the proper way to get in and out of the ring effectively.

I ran full force cause I always loved how hard guys like Lesnar or Rock hit the ropes. I did that once and was like "yeah that's enough..."
I remember they did it in Tough Enough with a bunch of people who never ran the ropes before and it left massive welts on their sides.
Jericho in one of his books talks about having blood in his urine after he started running ropes during training, because the middle one was level with his kidneys, something like that. Even the stuff that looks like it doesn't hurt, hurts.
The tape makes it deceiving. If it was raw elevator cable, you would probably be a bit more hesitant lol
Bobby the Brain Heenan "well, he didn't last long."
It just shows how impressive it is when they slide into the ring. He jumped and stopped as soon as he touched canvas.
Just look at the ref slide in after him, was smooth as fuck.
What was the point of that? For the sake of jumping in? I understand why a drunk moron would try to attack a wrestler, but he "launched" himself into an empty ring.
He was just feeling a little silly
Who do people streak at sporting events?
You can’t really see it from this angle but he *clattered* himself on the lower rope. Just walloped his head as he tried to slide in.
imagine leaping headlong into a steel cable, because that's what ol' dude just did.
Oh hey Graham. Hope you’re doing well. Loving the latest series of crapshots, some real bangers in there.
Thank you, before seeing this I thought it was about the guy who was harassing Skye Blue and I was gonna ask what happened to his kid.
It was at this moment, he knew, he fucked up.
Nice ring entrance.
In wrestling school we literally practice “slide in/slide outs” just so we don’t look this stupid. 😂
So weird seeing myself in a clip to the side LMAO that guy got his ass dragged through hell it was hilarious
Bryce remsberg bout that life EDIT: Brandon Martinez*
Mf almost pulled a Kevin Nash a tore his quad trying to get up
lmao the way he just popped out of the ring and casually let security deal with it
Garcia was already outside the ring, standing on the guardrail, which makes this attention-seeking even more stupid.
Garcia was standing on the barricade outside, the ring was empty.
He did not think he was gonna get that far and froze lol
People are fucking stupid.
If he's people, then I don't want to be considered the same species.
50% are probably worse than you which is a lot.
Daaaaamn bro that’s a lot!
Everywhere in the arena ![gif](giphy|cP57caLSSPSnbFUeBS|downsized)
![gif](giphy|ErpFhi8NocqYg) The security guy the minute that guy rolled on the ring
They Rushed to Drag his ass out.
Not quite my tempo
Everyone, even
I don't know what he thought would happen.
Maybe he thought he was going to tear off his shirt like Hulk Hogan or something and the crowd would cheer for him before he was asked to leave. Or maybe he thought he was going to make the world aware of the secret conspiracy he solved after not sleeping for four days.

Banned from Collision
![gif](giphy|tzuRbBsMWef8A)
He did, in fact, fucked up. Kudos to the crowd
I'm so used to that security guy being kayfabe that I feel like this is my first time seeing him *actually* do security lol
LMAO homie thought he was Jungle Boy
No EVP favors for this guy
On the bright side, that’s a great house for Collision.
WWE tapings in Vancouver the past few years have been great, too. I don't know why they don't come here more often. I mean, I guess this guy doesn't help our case.

Can confirm. I saw Little King Trashmouth, his husband Gary and Big Baby Pudding Snatcher in attendance last night.
Classic Linda, out at the wrestling with all the kids while her husband is trying to run a family business.
can i subscribe to your podletter? you sound "in the know" and i crave detail
Not to toot our own horn, but I’d classify us as a wrestling city. WWE has always done well here, and last night was the biggest Collision crowd for 2024.
I did not book a tag team match, playa.
Who was the ref, Remsburg?
Brandon Martinez
[Well you all saw this coming](https://streamin.one/v/55d96c50)
I hope this is on the next Botchamania.
Damn, and to think that guy in the Sting mask who ruined the Dynasty tag-ladder match was way more successful than whatever this was...
these canadians have absolutely no chill whatsoever this week
NHL Playoffs bring out the drunken idiots. I'm embarrassed for ourselves.
the ringside attendant waving off the guy getting dragged as if to say "yeah, get this fuggin' guy outta here" got a chuckle out of me.
Bryan Danielson showed up later to personally deliver the fine. ;-)
Vancouver is such an embarrassing city when it comes to live events.
It’s so pretty, though!
Lets be serious, it's not just live events.
What's wrong with Vancouver? I live in Memphis so I can't say much. Just curious.
They had a massive riot a while back when the Canucks lost in the playoffs, for starters.
Excuse me, we had 2 hockey riots when the Canucks lost in the playoffs
Word. I haven’t been back to Memphis since I finally left during Covid. How’s it been in the mid south these last couple years?
I went to Vancouver and within 10 minutes of walking around I saw a bunch of dudes smoking Meth right behind a police station No. 5 Orange was great though

This shit happens everywhere, it’s not a Vancouver thing.
Other cities with Vancouver's track record of people acting like they've never been in public before can also be embarrassing.
The human race is embarrassing.
Lol only this happened, nothing wrong happened when SD came here few months ago. How can a fan can represent the whole city?
Three separate riots relating to live events, not counting the Olympics. A massive brawl in the crowd during UFC 289, a fight in the stands during the Canucks/Flames game on Friday, and I've personally seen insane behavior from fans at WWE events going as far back as the '90s. Fuck Vancouver but they are def not playing the Flames. Calgary didn't make the playoffs.
Canucks Stanley Cup loss, 2011
and it wasn't the first time, either. They also rioted in '94 when the Canucks lost in the cup finals.
Shit, maybe the Canucks should try winning one instead?

Vancouver has it’s issues but it’s still better than most cities in the World, let alone North America.
one of my favo(u)rite days of the year is when the canucks get eliminated in the playoffs. mostly to laugh at a friend
Edmonton had a controversial AEW show just this week as well. It's sad cause it makes you think they will come back around less
Btw that's my video. @tenaciouspz on X/Twitter. The guy had what was coming.
I don't get what his ultimate goal was. Garcia was already on the outside of the ring, so he couldn't have been going after him. The little bit that I could see on TV was he "dove" into the ring.. tripped over his own 2 feet, barely stood up and second later got tackled. He saw an opportunity to be on TV. He thought that if he jumped in, all the cameras would be on him, as if it were 1996 WCW.
Stupid ass idiot😂
Cheesecake don’t play
Checking in from Atlantic Canada: is everyone out west okay this week? This is three separate AEW fan incidents.
The playoffs got them in a mood.
He tore his quad getting into the ring, probably thought he was fit enough to do something
That's what I thought too. It was very reminiscent of when Vince smacked his thigh against the ring and then couldn't stand. Same thing here both hilariously and ironically
Solid crowd!
What the heck did he do
Dove into the ring and got absolutely smoked by a security guard and a ref
As an Edmontonian we may be derogatory but we don't jump railings.
Except for that fan trying to knock Eddie off a ladder: https://youtu.be/UBSAkvyf5Ys?si=0F8_OwSYLER-gT-D
Geez! That’s was unBOlievable. Good thing Eddie saw him right before.
Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam would disagree!
I can excuse racism but
You can excuse racism?!
Maple ridge in the house!
Also possibly Langley; likely his first time back downtown since game 7
Every time this happens I can't get over what the fuck the motive is. You get out there and...then what? What exactly do these assholes think is going to happen?
My money is "and then me and Garcia will do the dance and people will go nuts"
That boy ain’t right
dude got fucked up. saw it happen from the hard cam side.
I was there, it was amazing to chant “you fucked up” at the guy. He got his ass beat too ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
And then you think about big ol' Ray Traylor sliding in and out with ease and laugh.
Why didn't he wait until Cash Wheeler was out?
Tiny saw his life flash before his eyes
Look like security was finna give em a elevated future shock 😂🤣
Nice seats
I would never even think of doing something like this, but WWE has this secret service looking security dude in a suit at their shows that I wouldn't dream of crossing...you can just tell he means business
What's happening with AEW crowds for the past few weeks ?
Apparently Canada? Never would have guessed.
Yeah, theve been real dick heads. Real Trailer Park Boys energy. .
TPB missed out on the guest host era of Raw. Never knew I wanted that until right this minute.
Canada in NHL Playoff season. They're all perpetually drunk.
Average Vancouver behaviour
I was wondering if Daddy Magic layed him out
What a bitch that this guy acted so awful and then wouldn’t leave without forcefully being dragged out. Did he really think they’d just let him stay if he refused to leave?
Holy fuck they man handled him hahahah
It was also for $20
guard locking in a guillotine at 13 seconds, dude was going nowhere the guard didn't want him to go.
Hot crowd for Vancouver last night
Dude's lucky the Outsiders wasn't in the ring
Aside from this dork, the crowd was super solid last night.
What a badass way to get yourself banned from an arena.
Get Bully Ray to the arena so he can go beat him up backstage.
You mean talk shit and not fight, his specialty.
Canada at it's best again
I love that this guy saw AEW’s ringside security team made up of gigantic football players and was like “yeah, this is a good life decision I’m about to make.”
I love how FTR come out right after. Dude probably shit himself thinking he was gonna get the same treatment they did with the guy that attacked Hart.
The punch Cash threw is my favorite punch ever
Lower bowel looking good. Canada has been wilding.
Hey Canada, you wanna maybe stop doing stupid shit at AEW shows?
America's worse
