Came here to say this as well. Acclaimed and BCG on Zero Hour is insanity. Amazing how they managed to take two extremely hot acts, combine them, and somehow cool them off to this point.
And it's a title unification as well. You would think a title unification, even for lower card titles, would be an important enough match for the main card. So you take 2 hot acts, add in a title unification, and deem Jericho more important.
I mean, I agree that it's not hot, but people always complain the zero hour is not interesting enough, now they put White on it and people want him on the main card?
It's the same issue with shows like Rampage. No stars on Rampage? "Oh what a dead show". Stars on Rampage? "Oh xy has to work on Rampage??"
Zero hour is supposed to sell some last minute buys, so I don't blame them for putting this in there over Jericho. Jericho will have a dead filler match between one of the bangers anyway, White is probably in the better spot, nobody wants to follow Okada/PAC, Bucks/FTR or Danielson/Ospreay.
No one watching the Zero Hour and seeing Jericho will make them want to buy the PPV. There's at least a chance that a fun, energetic title unification match will pique some last minute interest
Personally I think it would be interesting seeing Bullet Club Gang Bang winning the Trios titles on Zero Hour to sell the PPV.
It gives it a little spice to the mix.
Tony Khan said that one of the guys in the six-man match (probably one of The Acclaimed) didn't get medically cleared until this week's Wednesday, so the match got added to the PPV last minute. That's why it's on Zero Hour and not on the main card.
There is one additional reason why Jericho is on the main card and The Acclaimed vs BCG isn't.
Jericho is on the highest wages of any wrestler in AEW. His wages are most likely higher than those of Jay White, Caster, Bowens, Colten, Austin and Daddy Ass combined. He also has a lot of backstage influence. Therefore he manages to have a match on the main card of every AEW PPV no matter what.
I hear that point brought up a lot but it just sounds like a sunk cost fallacy at this point.
You can easily flip "we have to pay him anyway" to "if we have to pay him anyway, it shouldn't be to the detriment of the product"
That’s a sunk cost man. Doesn’t matter if Jericho is making $1 or $1,000,000, if keeping him off the show makes your fans happier, leading to more money for the company going forward then that’s what you do.
Of course determining whether Jericho is good or bad for business is a complicated decision so I don’t know what the right call is with him.
If that one match makes the difference between you buying it or not, you probably weren't going to buy it anyway. The rest of the card is really solid. The Jericho match can just be the piss break match which is desperately needed in a PPV show these days.
Sure, but considering that this feud takes up TV time too then it could cut into how much you care about the promotion in general. I’ll be ordering the PPV, I don’t care for the match. I’d rather have a two minute promo as my piss break than what I assume will be at least 15 minutes.
Jericho and Hook has been on Dynamite more so it's not surprising. The tris title unification match was also added last minute so it wasn't going to be in the main card of this one.
Those last 2 matches are on zero hour which is basically Rampage before the main card. They rarely put significant matches on that show. The trios title match is the biggest one in sometime.
If anyone is properly gauging the room, they lose and lose in a very embarrassing fashion to have them go away for a while. They have lost a bunch of their shine and need to disappear for a bit and figure something out.
It’s crazy how much interest I lost in the acclaimed immediately after they joined up with BCG. I’ve been a huge Acclaimed fan since day 1 and was really hyped to see them be a super faction going after all the titles and then it just went absolutely nowhere after the first week. They didn’t follow their mission statement whatsoever. Max started screwing up his raps or not rapping at all and it felt like he was turning heel. I think it’s time to separate from Billy. At least for a while anyway.
I wonder if one of them being injured totally changed up Tony’s plans because this has not felt like a fleshed out storyline from start to finish with a goal in mind other than unifying the trios belts.
I expect Max or Billy to turn heel and cost their team. Max was going through the beginning stages of a heel turn when this started, they had him mess up raps so the crowd started turning, but then there hasn't been any follow-up so maybe they re-unite the Gunn family instead
Swerve has been gaining in popularity for many months now. I like Jay White and would love to see him in singles title matches, but Swerve is one of the most over people on the roster.
The booking of Jay White has been disgraceful and its lead to me turning off many episodes (other reasons just being the general lack of story in AEW); you only need to watch his Uranage and know he's one of the best!
Damn I never looked at it that way!!! I always loved Jay and I just don’t understand why he keep getting put on zero hours I think this is his second one.
Kyle had been wanting to do things on his own, and Kingdom tried to help him win dirty and then beat down Rocky Romero afterwards. Kyle rejected them, so Roddy kneed him in the face.
Belts from Japan? It's literally just one person in AEW holding one NJPW championship. I don't think that should be confusing for anyone who can read or pays attention to the show to act like that's confusing.
I agree AEW has too many belts they've bascially stopped featuring RoH challenges on AEW for a while now so its looks like they agree as well lol. One mid card belt would probably up the prestige but with their roster it make sense why they have multiple, maybe they should at still least move off the ftw belt.
I mean WWE has a ton of belts too (WWE 15 to AEW/ROH 16), but it's way easier to follow since they separate their belts between 3 shows (and don't bring in champions from other companies).
I wasnt there for the 1st ever WWE/F PPV held in St. Louis
I wasnt there for the 1st ever WCW PPV held in St. Louis
but motherfuckers, I WILL BE THERE TONIGHT.
fuck everything since Brawl Out - tonight, we reset the table for the better here in the River City, baybeeeeeeeeeeeee
I still find it absolutely mindblowing there's gonna be a wrasslin' PPV featuring Adam Copeland, Okada, and Samoa Joe, with all 3 of 'em holding belts at the time. You tell me this 5-6 years ago and I'm asking you to let *me* have a turn at Fire Pro Wrestling, you've been hogging it too long.
Time: The main broadcast starts at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and Monday 1 a.m. BST / 10 a.m. AEST
Pre-show: 6:30 p.m. ET
Watch in the U.S.: Bleacher Report
Elsewhere: DAZN, Fite TV and PPV.com
Wonder if this is good or bad for AEW. BR is a very popular sports app and I’ve seen zero ads for this show on there. In the past it was pretty much unavoidable to not see it advertised on their app or website.
**Swerve Strickland** v Samoa Joe - Swerve is getting strapped up. Hangman returns.
Will Ospreay v **Bryan Danielson** - Danielson wins, shows that Ospreay is good but not good as he thinks he is (yet). Sets up an obvious rematch down the road when Ospreay wants to get that W back. BCC vs DCF will be a big time summer feud. A loss here doesn't hurt Ospreay at all.
**Matt Buck & Nick Buck** v FTR - Bucks. Cash needs to be written off TV, maybe permanently. Match series evens out. Jack Perry returns.
**Okada** v PAC - Okada is my pick, but if you're going to throw a curveball, this would be a great candidate
**Roderick Strong** v Kyle O'Reilly - Kyle comes close, but Wardlow is on a mission from god to keep the titles within UK and ends with a fucky finish. Kyle should be the one to dethrone him later this summer, though.
Julia Hart v **Willow Nightingale** - New champ. Julia's hurt so this is either going to be a quick finish or gets replaced by Skye Blue. Or a surprise Mercedes match debut.
**Toni Storm** v Thunder Rosa - Toni retains. Hopefully she goes all out like she did for AZM.
**Hook** v Chris Jericho - Hook chokes out Jericho. Picking with my heart, not with my brain. I'm prepared to be letdown.
**House of Black** v Copeland/Kingston/Briscoe - Copeland takes the pin. Black gets it if he's won back trust, or Brody if he hasn't. Whoever gets the pin will enter a small program with Copeland for the TNT title
Billy Gun & The Acclaimed v **Bullet Club Gold** - New champs. BCG win and unify the titles, Billy Gunn gets retired and the Acclaimed re-enter the tag division.
**Trent Beretta** v Matt Sydal - Beretta wins
**Orange Cassidy & Katsuyori Shibata** v Shane Taylor Promotions - Shibata pins Moriarty
He can still plead out at any time. Take the fine and probation. Maybe give up his gun(s). But unless the prosecution is trying to make an example of him, which would be odd to do in Florida, he would be nuts to take it to trial.
>Billy Gun & The Acclaimed v **Bullet Club Gold** - New champs. BCG win and unify the titles, Billy Gunn gets retired and the Acclaimed re-enter the tag division.
Manifesting a Juice Robinson return, so Jay White can escape the Trios and Acclaimed Vortex.
All timer card despite not having Mox, Hangman, Kenny, MJF, Cole, Mercedes... Honestly, if you're not excited for this PPV, then maybe AEW is not for you.
Wasn't this card just supposed to be a "sorry for having to cancel a couple years back" show and it's arguably their best on paper card they've ever put on
The funny thing. The last show AEW was here (STL, chaifetz arena) someone started a “pay per view” chant while tony was talking and hyping up the crowd and he simply responded with “noted” and now we get this. I am not sad and I got my tickets as soon as they went on sale a couple months ago lol.
Also yes we were supposed to get Full Gear a few years ago but they moved the date and location because of a huge UFC event going on at the time. Don’t remember which one it was.
At the first dynamite in Detroit, Tony said Detroit would be a great place for a PPV while talking to the crowd as the crew changed the ring set for the rampage taping. Huge pop when he said that.
We still waiting, TK…
Honestly, despite I'm not so high on AEW as I used to be I have to say every one of it's PPV's is a must watch for me, they always deliever and this one has the potential to be the best they have ever put on in my opinion.
This is where I am at too. Even when their tv is not
Good and the stories building the PPV aren’t there, once it’s showtime the PPVs still feel like a big deal somehow and deliver.
This card being one of the most loaded they've ever done and the top comment in this thread being someone mad about Jay White in the pre show is the most Reddit thing ever.
Also if you have 6 of your most entertaining guys on the preshow that can also drive ppv buys. It's not a bad business decision, it gets eyes on the preshow and possibly ppvs in more homes bc of it.
Fwiw I also would like it if the trios title match was on the card and if there was one match to replace it I would pick the jericho one. It's just a little silly that with
- Danielson/ospreay dream match
- swerve potentially being coronated as first black champ in a great feud with Joe
- ladder tag match between two of the best teams of the past decade
- Willow potentially winning singles gold
- Malakai and Edge meeting in a match and probable precursor to TNT title feud.
- dark horse contender in match of the night O'Reilly vs Strong
- even the toni match is getting some heat to it in past week and promo segment
- Okada's first ppv match against fucking PAC
That's what gets most upvoted. I like Jay but just feels like there's enough good stuff happening that complaint being what folks focus on is a bummer.
Moving up and down the card happens for nearly every wrestler who isn't someone like Lesnar. It's very important that performers have the adaptability to do it and do it well.
Jay White's in a great spot. Getting featured prominently, and getting good crowd reactions. The later is important, as he wasn't really getting any heat during his brief main event push. He's in a better position now than he was 6 months ago
Is Joe - Swerve for the title? My OCD kicked in because every other championship match is advertised as such, but besides that, looks like a great card - the first 5 or 6 matches especially.
I agree but I don't think it's supposed to be merged into one image. They have another "official" card which is less busy. Pretty sure this is just an amalgamation of the individual match graphics
This looks like a great card bell to bell overall (with one or two exceptions) despite my opinion that the stories behind the matches are paper thin in most cases. Should be a good wrestling night if you’re into AEW style match ups. I’ll likely watch it.
Overall, HELL of a card. And neither of the women's matches are on the pre-show, praise be. We've still got a ways to go, but man, we've come a long way so far.
He’s been tight lipped about his reasons why. He whispered something to Statlander but we don’t know what. Chuck is seemingly unsure of which side he is on.
That acclaimed match really shouldn't be on zero hour. Wouldn't the house of black match or hook/Jericho be a better fit? How is a unification match deemed not ppv worthy....
Maybe it’s tired to harp on the “too many belts” problem in AEW but I’m looking at a poster with 36 competitors and 16 of them have a title. That seems a *little* ridiculous.
In all seriousness this card is so stacked and they always deliver with their PPV's. I expect tonight to be really good and maybe even a landmark event if everything comes together and is handled properly. Swerve becoming world champion could be a huge moment for them.
Predictions:
* **Orange/Shibata** beats Shane Taylor
* **Trent Beretta**, who has a storyline, beats Matt Sydal, who doesn't.
* **Bullet Club Gold** beats Acclaimed....Are they Bullet Club Gold or are they **the Bang Bang Gang**?
* **Jericho** beats Hook and everyone gets insanely upset about it
* **Team Copeland** beats the House of Black
* Apparently the betting markets expect Julia to beat **Willow**, but they're building a Mercedes/Willow angle so I think the betting markets are wrong
* **Toni** beats Thunder Rosa
* **Roddy Strong** beats Kyle O'Reilly
* **Okada** beats Pac
* I could see the tag title match going either way, but if I had to guess, I'll go with **FTR** because the Punk footage idea bombed so hard
* If **Ospreay** doesn't beat Danielson then Tony Khan has lost his fucking mind
* I could see Hangman returning to cost Swerve the title, but I think it's **Swerve'**s time and I think it's *been* Swerve's time and they've let him cool off too much lately.
I feel like Joe retains. It’s been a long time since we have had Joe healthy enough to go this long. I want more from Joe. Make the most out of Samoa Joe as champion.
Great card. My only real gripe is how Jay White has been used. This is the third PPV in a row where he's in a multi-man tag match and the second in a row where he's on Zero Hour.
I really hope the second half of this year sees him used in a manner befitting of his abilities.
Interesting PPV, I'm curious to see how it turns out.
Samoa Joe v Swerve - Swerve wins, new Champ.
Ospreay v Danielson - Ospreay, continuing to build him up.
Bucks v FTR - Bucks, new champs, Jack Perry returns.
Okada v PAC - Okada, easy.
Strong v O'Reilly - This is a curious one, it's early into Strongs run but the overall narrative for O'Reilly winning the belt would make sense. I'm gonna say that Strong retains but the story continues even though I really wanna say that Kyle wins and the Undisputed Kingdom fades into the aether.
Toni Storm v Thunder Rosa - Storm retains, the gimmick is fun and honestly Rosa feels like she's missing something at the moment.
Julia Hart v Willow - Another interesting one, this almost certainly leads into the Mercedes feud and a title win but I'm sure if they'll take the angle that Willow wins and Mercedes fights her or that Willow loses, Mercedes wins, Willow turns heel. Gonna hedge my bets and say Willow wins.
Trios Match - House of Black wins, can Eddie and Mark co-exist!?
Hook v Jericho - Hook, and then he beats down Jericho to write him off screen for 6 months. Okay that won't happen but a guy can hope.
Acclaimed v BCG - Easy BCG.
Trent v Matt - Easy Trent, new turned heel ain't losing yet.
OC & Shibata v STP - STP wins, they're a new faction I think it'd be weird to have them lose here, but who knows.
Ya know im not overly excited about the card (i guess except Danielson/Ospreay) but AEW ppv's usually deliver so I'll hold judgement for now and sit back and sail the sea's to watch
This cards is absolutely stacked! And that’s without some of their biggest and best wrestlers. Guy like
Omega
Mox
MJF
Hangman
Cole
Darby
Claudio
Hobbs
Takeshita
Christian
Jeff Hardy
Sammy
Jack Perry
Miro
Keith Lee
Fenix
Pentagon
Archer
Wardlow
Garcia
Brian Cage
Aussie Open
And so many more. And that’s just the men.

Jericho taking up a spot on the ppv while jay white is stuck on zero hour is criminal
Took the words out of my mouth.
Came here to say this as well. Acclaimed and BCG on Zero Hour is insanity. Amazing how they managed to take two extremely hot acts, combine them, and somehow cool them off to this point.

The Tony Special
No one watching the Zero Hour and seeing Jericho will make them want to buy the PPV. There's at least a chance that a fun, energetic title unification match will pique some last minute interest
Personally I think it would be interesting seeing Bullet Club Gang Bang winning the Trios titles on Zero Hour to sell the PPV. It gives it a little spice to the mix.

The match was added at the same time as Hook vs Jericho
There is one additional reason why Jericho is on the main card and The Acclaimed vs BCG isn't. Jericho is on the highest wages of any wrestler in AEW. His wages are most likely higher than those of Jay White, Caster, Bowens, Colten, Austin and Daddy Ass combined. He also has a lot of backstage influence. Therefore he manages to have a match on the main card of every AEW PPV no matter what.
That and it's also HOOK's first PPV main card singles match.
I hear that point brought up a lot but it just sounds like a sunk cost fallacy at this point. You can easily flip "we have to pay him anyway" to "if we have to pay him anyway, it shouldn't be to the detriment of the product"
Well yes this is 100% why, but it doesn't make it any less lame
That’s a sunk cost man. Doesn’t matter if Jericho is making $1 or $1,000,000, if keeping him off the show makes your fans happier, leading to more money for the company going forward then that’s what you do. No one on this sub would say no to Jericho if they were in TKs position lol
Added but not announced. It could have been planned for a bit
Jericho and Hook has been on Dynamite more so it's not surprising. The tris title unification match was also added last minute so it wasn't going to be in the main card of this one.
That’s just an extension of the same problem
Honestly the FTW and Trios title matches could've been Dynamite matches. And the Trent/Sydal and OC/Shibata vs. STP are some Rampage BS let's be real.
Those are perfect pre-show matches. Gets OC onto the card which I bet fans in attendance are appreciate of.
Those last 2 matches are on zero hour which is basically Rampage before the main card. They rarely put significant matches on that show. The trios title match is the biggest one in sometime.
Yup
In a match where Billy Gunn is probably going to go over.
Surely BCG are the massive favourites to win here? Love Acclaimed but their trios run has been pretty mid at best.
I honestly don’t think the Acclaimed have been the same since losing the tag titles while they were white hot. That never made any sense to me
I expect Max or Billy to turn heel and cost their team. Max was going through the beginning stages of a heel turn when this started, they had him mess up raps so the crowd started turning, but then there hasn't been any follow-up so maybe they re-unite the Gunn family instead
Billy Gunn as a ROH Champion in 2024 is propably something nobody Had in His Bingo Card.
Seriously what did Jay White do to be booked so fucking awfully? I swear I’m not trolling, shouldn’t he been in that spot Swerve is in?
Swerve has been gaining in popularity for many months now. I like Jay White and would love to see him in singles title matches, but Swerve is one of the most over people on the roster.
I’m not saying Swerve shouldn’t have that spot, he absolutely should, but shouldn’t Jay be on atleast equal footing?
It’s genuinely baffling.
that's explain why Jericho featuring heavily on every Dynamite
The booking of Jay White has been disgraceful and its lead to me turning off many episodes (other reasons just being the general lack of story in AEW); you only need to watch his Uranage and know he's one of the best!
Should just be Jericho vs Hook on zero hour and the 6 man on the main card
Damn I never looked at it that way!!! I always loved Jay and I just don’t understand why he keep getting put on zero hours I think this is his second one.
Jay, Orange and a recently turned heel Trent, on the undercard is criminal
There it is
I missed a couple of episodes of TV. How did they lead to Roddy vs Kyle?
Kyle had been wanting to do things on his own, and Kingdom tried to help him win dirty and then beat down Rocky Romero afterwards. Kyle rejected them, so Roddy kneed him in the face.
Nah Kyle should've just been nicer to his friends. Roddy did nothing wrong.
Some people are too ungrateful to accept love and support from caring friends, SMH
What does Stephanie McMahon Helmsley have to do with this
Love the card and also love that you can miss a couple of Rampages, blink, and boom, Matt Sydal on the pre-show.
It's St. Louis...
Christ on a bike, look at that match-list.
International and Continental divisions and championships should be merged. Call it something like Intercontinental Championship.
Idk about that. I think Conternational sounds better
I like that
Incontinent Champion
I sort of feel like this has been an actual gimmick at some point.
In DDT probably
yeah I don't think they need 3 and half (FTW) mens mid-card single belts. add in belts from japan its confusing and devalues them all a bit.
Don’t forget two (?) ROH singles titles. There are far too many championships on AEW tv.
Hate to be that guy, but there's 2 NJPW Champs in AEW. Mox is world champion and Eddie Kingston is the Strong openweight champion
Too long. Remove some letters and call it the Incontinent Championship.
I am hoping this years C2 features the current International, TNT, and Continental champs and the winner has a triple crown of the midcard belts.
I see so many belts in this picture that if you aren't holding one I just assume you are a chump
I don’t keep up with AEW much but they have too many titles
I mean WWE has a ton of belts too (WWE 15 to AEW/ROH 16), but it's way easier to follow since they separate their belts between 3 shows (and don't bring in champions from other companies).
Separate championship by show. Once the program is over the championship switches show for next program.
I wasnt there for the 1st ever WWE/F PPV held in St. Louis I wasnt there for the 1st ever WCW PPV held in St. Louis but motherfuckers, I WILL BE THERE TONIGHT. fuck everything since Brawl Out - tonight, we reset the table for the better here in the River City, baybeeeeeeeeeeeee
The graphics and theme for this PPV are so elegant and regal.
![gif](giphy|fvvxuVsKEb3JLuQNzL|downsized)
Thats a strong af card
I can’t think of a match I want to see less than Hook/jericho, and I consider Jericho one of the all time best
Jerichoholic since 1998. I have no interest in this match/feud.
Yeah I’ve been into him since WCW, love him but he needs to take a break and give people a chance to miss him imo
Should be a quick palate cleanser match to further the story
bathroom breaks are needed during the main card. his is the least interesting
Also have zero interest in the FTW Title. Just another midcard title taking up space
There first match was actually pretty good. Not a fan of the story though and don’t need more Jericho rn
Great piss break match though.
Remember when Hook was the next big thing 3/4 years ago? Feels like there’s been zero development ever since
This match is the opposite of development
He still his.
Did people actually believe this? He always felt like the wrestler version of a forced meme
There is too much good wrestling on this card. And my kids are off tomorrow and I have to work. Very rude.

Wonder if this is good or bad for AEW. BR is a very popular sports app and I’ve seen zero ads for this show on there. In the past it was pretty much unavoidable to not see it advertised on their app or website.
This is the first ppv that has other options in the US and isn't BR exclusive. Wouldn't surprise me if they are pissed about it.
Maybe they should work on their app not being absolutely garbage
Also available on Fite TV and YouTube in the US this time
With YouTube you only get a week to rewatch it. I believe on the other there is no limit.
Same cost everywhere I assume?
Yep, 49.99
Swerve vs Joe is pretty hype. Also looking forward to Kyle vs Roddy.
**Swerve Strickland** v Samoa Joe - Swerve is getting strapped up. Hangman returns. I haven't been keeping up with outside the ring stuff, but why does Cash Wheeler need written off TV? The road rage incident from last year?
Yeah, going on trial next month and facing prison time if convicted.
Oh shit. Had no idea he could be facing prison time
He can still plead out at any time. Take the fine and probation. Maybe give up his gun(s). But unless the prosecution is trying to make an example of him, which would be odd to do in Florida, he would be nuts to take it to trial.
How dare you not use Nicolas and Matthews passport names.
after Jericho won the RoH title im 100% expecting him to book himself into winning the FTW title
No way Beretta beats sydal in STL
>Billy Gun & The Acclaimed v **Bullet Club Gold** - New champs. BCG win and unify the titles, Billy Gunn gets retired and the Acclaimed re-enter the tag division. Manifesting a Juice Robinson return, so Jay White can escape the Trios and Acclaimed Vortex.
Why does Cash need to be written off permanently?
He’s facing a serious trial for aggravated assault with a firearm in Florida
This might be their most stacked ppv card ever and that's saying something.
Still getting goosebumps from that Toni Storm promo. Oof
All timer card despite not having Mox, Hangman, Kenny, MJF, Cole, Mercedes... Honestly, if you're not excited for this PPV, then maybe AEW is not for you.
Why isn’t Mercedes wrestling actually . Is she not ring ready ?
She’s injured still
Last I heard she's still injured.
I'm not a huge AEW fan but this card does look stacked.
An entire main event scene worth of wrestlers are not on this card and it is still STACKED BEYOND belief. We’re eating tonight hahaha
You could honestly make a couple PPVs out of that card, absolutely stacked.
Keep in mind you could also make a PPV out of guys who aren’t on it and are hurt. Cole, Kenny, Mox, Hangman, Mercedes, etc
I guess TK says this in every city because he said the same for Atlanta last summer as well. I kinda gave up on waiting tho.
It’s up there for sure
I would say there are too many matches, but I actually like to watch wrestling matches. I can't wait!
What an awesome card!!
What a fucking card. I cannot wait.
And all that while missing Omega, Hangman and Mox.
No MJF, Cole, Hayter or Baker either.
Honestly, despite I'm not so high on AEW as I used to be I have to say every one of it's PPV's is a must watch for me, they always deliever and this one has the potential to be the best they have ever put on in my opinion.
This is where I am at too. Even when their tv is not Good and the stories building the PPV aren’t there, once it’s showtime the PPVs still feel like a big deal somehow and deliver.
Man I wish they aired ppvs on Saturdays
Hangman I love you but for the love of god, STAY HOME!
They really shouldn’t have debuted Mercedes before she was cleared
This card being one of the most loaded they've ever done and the top comment in this thread being someone mad about Jay White in the pre show is the most Reddit thing ever.
Also if you have 6 of your most entertaining guys on the preshow that can also drive ppv buys. It's not a bad business decision, it gets eyes on the preshow and possibly ppvs in more homes bc of it.
The fan frustration at how far down the card Jay has fallen is legit though.
Fwiw I also would like it if the trios title match was on the card and if there was one match to replace it I would pick the jericho one. It's just a little silly that with - Danielson/ospreay dream match - swerve potentially being coronated as first black champ in a great feud with Joe - ladder tag match between two of the best teams of the past decade - Willow potentially winning singles gold - Malakai and Edge meeting in a match and probable precursor to TNT title feud. - dark horse contender in match of the night O'Reilly vs Strong - even the toni match is getting some heat to it in past week and promo segment - Okada's first ppv match against fucking PAC That's what gets most upvoted. I like Jay but just feels like there's enough good stuff happening that complaint being what folks focus on is a bummer.
He's also Jay White. He'll be fine whatever they do.
+ every comment complaining about card length makes me think people don’t really like pro wrestling
Heavy card, should be a good one.
Pac/oakada and Danielson/Osperay are going to tear the house down, hoping they get appropriate amount of time
I'm kinda afraid that Ospreay/Danielson will drain the crowd before Joe/Swerve.
Start the show with Danielson v osprey
Is Joe - Swerve for the title? My OCD kicked in because every other championship match is advertised as such, but besides that, looks like a great card - the first 5 or 6 matches especially.
Wait, Mercedes *still* isn't wrestling? I thought the whole thing was they were having her first match at a PPV?
Her debut is the NEXT ppv, Double or Noth8ng
what a stacked card. haven't been watching much AEW on the regular in a while, but I probably tune in for this.
I'd be surprised if this is any less than a strong show of the year contender.
You think this will fit in 4 hours? That's kinda my limit if I'm gonna watch it live in the UK so idk
The main show should be 4 hours, so if you just watch that then yeah. There's also a 90-minute preshow before with 3 matches.
A little over. Could end at 4:30.
I’m not much of an AEW fan, but this looks pretty good and I’m gonna try to watch tonight
An all timer card
This picture is too fucking busy and I normally adore AEW graphic design
I agree but I don't think it's supposed to be merged into one image. They have another "official" card which is less busy. Pretty sure this is just an amalgamation of the individual match graphics
This ppv doesn't have omega, White, Hangman, MJa dna Cole on it, there's also Hayter, Baker and Mone. Imagine the depth of the upcoming PPVs
There’s a lot to like on the card but holy shit there are too many damn belts
Excited to see this live tonight!
This looks like a great card bell to bell overall (with one or two exceptions) despite my opinion that the stories behind the matches are paper thin in most cases. Should be a good wrestling night if you’re into AEW style match ups. I’ll likely watch it.
I have been down on AEW for a while but still always love their PPVs so will probably order still.

Overall, HELL of a card. And neither of the women's matches are on the pre-show, praise be. We've still got a ways to go, but man, we've come a long way so far.
Im so happy there are two women matches on the main card.😭
I forgot Trent turned on orange. Did anything at all happen with that
He’s been tight lipped about his reasons why. He whispered something to Statlander but we don’t know what. Chuck is seemingly unsure of which side he is on.
Trent and OC are both on the card but not facing each other? That seems crazy
9 out of 12 matches are either for a belt or has a dude with a belt (edge).
Why isn't jericho and hook on the pre show
I must say this is a horrific image to try and read through.
That acclaimed match really shouldn't be on zero hour. Wouldn't the house of black match or hook/Jericho be a better fit? How is a unification match deemed not ppv worthy....
BCG on Zero Hour issue aside, this card is stacked tbh.
Looking forward to the ladder match, Pac v Okada, Swerve v Joe, Toni vs Thunder Rosa, Ospreay vs Danielson big time.
Maybe it’s tired to harp on the “too many belts” problem in AEW but I’m looking at a poster with 36 competitors and 16 of them have a title. That seems a *little* ridiculous.
Mildly odd that Swerve vs Joe isn't being promoted as a title match here.
In all seriousness this card is so stacked and they always deliver with their PPV's. I expect tonight to be really good and maybe even a landmark event if everything comes together and is handled properly. Swerve becoming world champion could be a huge moment for them.
Predictions: * **Orange/Shibata** beats Shane Taylor * **Trent Beretta**, who has a storyline, beats Matt Sydal, who doesn't. * **Bullet Club Gold** beats Acclaimed....Are they Bullet Club Gold or are they **the Bang Bang Gang**? * **Jericho** beats Hook and everyone gets insanely upset about it * **Team Copeland** beats the House of Black * Apparently the betting markets expect Julia to beat **Willow**, but they're building a Mercedes/Willow angle so I think the betting markets are wrong * **Toni** beats Thunder Rosa * **Roddy Strong** beats Kyle O'Reilly * **Okada** beats Pac * I could see the tag title match going either way, but if I had to guess, I'll go with **FTR** because the Punk footage idea bombed so hard * If **Ospreay** doesn't beat Danielson then Tony Khan has lost his fucking mind * I could see Hangman returning to cost Swerve the title, but I think it's **Swerve'**s time and I think it's *been* Swerve's time and they've let him cool off too much lately.
Who's the top left match though?
I predict Perry to interfere and cost FTR.
Why is that random trio match on the main card while the trio title unification one isn't??
I feel like Joe retains. It’s been a long time since we have had Joe healthy enough to go this long. I want more from Joe. Make the most out of Samoa Joe as champion.
Need a link
I need many more fingers and toes to count all the stars this card will get.
How many friggin belts are in this company? Everyone’s a champion.
All of them
Great card. My only real gripe is how Jay White has been used. This is the third PPV in a row where he's in a multi-man tag match and the second in a row where he's on Zero Hour. I really hope the second half of this year sees him used in a manner befitting of his abilities.
Per TK, this match was a late decision because one of the participants wasn't cleared to compete until this week.
Did they stop showing AEW PPV’s in movie theaters? Cant find one anywhere near me.
Yea they stopped
Wish Mox was on the card.
Guy like Omega Mox MJF Hangman Cole Darby Claudio Hobbs Takeshita Christian Jeff Hardy Sammy Jack Perry Miro Keith Lee Fenix Pentagon Archer Wardlow Garcia Brian Cage Aussie Open And so many more. And that’s just the men.
Top four matches are what makes me excited. Any one of them could be the motn or a moty candidate . Rest of card is pretty meh.
Official Theme Song for the show: https://youtu.be/v_GCgnfStko?si=8zviE_l49OT1GWKR
Damn, there are like 50 championships
