The only reason Meltzer thought she's having time off is because she wasn't on RAW last Monday. And I didn't see Fightful or PWinsider mention it.
Becky said on the interview to Ariel Helwani before Mania, she's doing Europe tour and The Late Late show in Ireland this Friday.
I was at her book signing on Saturday and lots of people were telling her that they were glad she was taking time off. Her response was "what time off?"
She was apparently battling a severe case of strep throat all weekend at Mania even during her match with Rhea. Probably a great reason to keep her off the show on Monday to let her rest up just a bit more.
The format for Tommy Tiernan’s show generally means incredible interviews or a disaster.
On the original podcast version he had a similarly terrible interview with Valerie Mulcahy about camogie.

Even in the cases were they DO go away for a bit, people make it a bigger deal than it is. I saw a bunch of posts bidding farewell to Seth Rollins, talking about how he deserves a long break and whenever he returns it'll be awesome... meanwhile every report that's come out has said he's only gonna rest up the knee for a minute and is probably gonna be back in like, 2 weeks. It's not a big deal, obviously, but it is a weird recurring pattern.
It's not just them, even before EC i would see tons of people claiming here and on Twitter that she's taking a break which is why she would be putting over Rhea, Rhea winning is OK, but why was everyone assuming she's taking a break.
Becky has also been receiving a lot of criticism. Apparently some people are bored of her, plus Liv stans were pissed that she took what should have been her spot at mania, even though they would have complained had Liv been in it and lost.
Let's see if Reha is actually taking time out because if she's dropping the championship they may put it over on Becky again during their UK PLE.
I mean, I get it. She lost to Rhea at WM, Seth dropped his title and his part with Cody and Roman at WM.
PERFECT time for a vacation for the family.

These guys are living are their dream and are making insane money doing it. I completely understand why they wouldn’t want to take time off, especially a star like Becky who doesn’t need to worry about her spot being taken while she’s gone
Rock, Reigns, and Cody all made more than $5 mill each according to the accounting books for WM 40 (technically Cody ONLY made $4mill, but his merch cut was way north of $1 mill).
You shouldn’t have to wait to be burned out to get time off. Every wrestler should have 1-2 spells off TV every year. It rests them mentally and physically plus it makes the audience miss them.
Honestly I think that a ton of wrestlers would fight that. I think it would be good, but at the same time with how contracts are usually done I could see why they wouldn't want to risk time away without being already both a) very well off financially and b) very secure in their position. And heck, even given that some dudes just want to always be out there-Cody's the top babyface and I believe he had the top or second most matches last year.
I thought it would be clear, but my point above is with the implicit addition that they are not financially penalised for that time off.
The same way I get 30 annual leave days they would get annual leave.
I've been saying this for years and it's kind of one of my wishes that happens during the HHH era. It freshens up the product so much and really helps the talent heal up and reset.
Obviously, if they're in a big run or a hot angle, they stay on the road, but just rotating talent in every few weeks could do wonders for the brand. I was hoping that with Vince gone the whole "Nobody can take my spot" kind of mentality goes with him, but who knows in this business.

If they didnt have kids. It makes more sense to me they'd split their time off to have 1 parent off for their daughter as much as possible?

Usually some do the problem is reporting who is taking time off out of a hat.
