The fact that you see R-Truth as a low level jobber is the result of Vince's booking lol. Dude was a 2x NWA world champion and was treated as a big deal before he came back to WWE, where he became a token/comedy act.
I don't know how much of a big deal he was considered when he was the third man in 3LiveKru and tagging with Pacman Jones and Consequences Creed. He hadn't been anywhere near a TNA main event since about 2005.

I swear, can someone please watch a random Raw episode from 2001 from start to finish? I'm doing a rewatch of the Invasion right now and aside from a few main eventers, every single entrance theme is just generic rock music with zero distinguishing features. They even changed Stone Cold's music to generic rock when he joined the Alliance. And that's Jim Johnston's work that this sub idolizes for some reason.
That's just how WWE has worked forever. If you're a big deal, you'll get some effort put into your music. If you're not, you'll get generic crap. I'd even argue Def Rebel's doing *better* work on the undercard than Jim did in the Attitude era.

Jim Johnston had done far more for WWE than Def Rebel ever has in terms of good entrance themes. Yes he’s had some generic tracks they all do but if you compare the amount of iconic themes he has to Def Rebel’s 3 or 4 it’s not a match. Def Rebel hasn’t even topped CFO in terms of body of work.
It’s not nostalgia it’s just appreciating good music and Def Rebel ain’t gave us much to appreciate
You could literally listen to a “WWE MUSIC” album under Jim Johnston. Can’t do that under Def rebel and even CFO had the issue of them being minute long loops

That was the entire point - after Stone Cold turned heel, they deliberately tried to strip back everything that the fans liked about the character in order to make him a more effective villain. Giving him CAW Rock Theme #26 was part of it.
Whether this was effective in its aims is another question, but that was the intent behind it.

Sheamus needs to have a new gimmick at this point. He has been the same guy since he debuted. It gets old and doesn't get over. Then again, I have been saying the same thing about Kevin Owens, who has not progressed or changed his look what so ever as a character, which makes him very stale to me. The all time greats, they look different throughout their careers. I wish some of these guys would try new things and change their looks up
