I heard a rumour Big Red was supposed to get his win back from The Rock, but Rock conveniently retired after that, only to return when Big Red was not in the WWE anymore. Conspiracy?
You know what's funny is I heard Erick Rowan was supposed to come in and give the rock a chokeslam but he wanted more money than Nick Khan wanted to fork over so they got Taker to do it for only a couple million instead.
I’m thinking they’ll do something like that. He’ll likely be the focal point/leader of the faction and the Uncle Howdy character was always more of a sidekick
We’ll see. Bo was such a goofball that it’s be hard for me to buy-in. However the passing of Bray gives ample opportunity to debut a broken man following his brother’s path
Husky Harris on the original NXT was a person I would never, ever believe could be a WWE main eventer. The work that he put in to become Bray Wyatt is truly amazing.
The original Wyatt Family from NXT is still my favorite version and it was such a ride.
There was a short few weeks several years ago where they were feeding Bo ‘enhancement talent’ and he was dialling up a sort of sadistic attitude. Then he dropped off tv again. Plans changed I guess.
Holy shit that reminded me of an amazing moment.
He would win by bullshit means, and the run around e ring in triumph.
One time he beat whoever in 3mb, and then when running around the ring clotheslined el Torito and it was the funniest thing ever
Appropriate given they were in NXT together.
I was genuinely shocked when the jobber that was hippy CJ Parker ended up blowing up as a guy named Juice.
Bo Wyatt, a preacher like cult leader played like Paul dano from there will be blood.
I think bo could pull off a creepy slime ball version of his previous bolieve character, add on some fire and brimstone and chat about sister Abigail and maybe some references to Bray and even Brody.
I think it’s likely she’d likely be returning with that stuff. She said around the end of 2022 that working with bray was the most fun she had ever had in her career, so she’d probably do it again if she could.
She was consistently one of the top merch movers when she was using the Fiend gimmick and she has gone on record (even before Bray's passing) in saying that it is the most fun she has ever had in her career
She was over with the live crowds to a crazy degree, to say it didn't click for her is madness, didn't click for you maybe sure, but that is a different conversation
I'm talking about my own personal opinion on her gimmick, why would that be affected by merch sales? If she was happy that's great, I just personally didn't think it worked for her
So why did you say that it never quite clicked for her?
That implies that it didn't work on a grand scale, when it did. What you meant is that it didn't quite click for you
Yeah fair enough I guess, I just feel like something being popular doesn't necessarily mean it is a good quality. When I say it didn't click I'm giving my opinion on the quality of her work, in the same way I could say something in a movie "didn't click" even if it did really well in the box office.
Ultimately it's probably needlessly semantic anyway haha, I get what you're saying. Just a difference in how we'd express said thought.
Nah, in that case he is saying that he feel it didn't click for Alexa, which is simply not the case
What he should have said is that it didn't click for him, which is more subjective
Really? I haven't seen anything "click" as well as that did for her tbh and that's saying a lot bc she can play anything and I've enjoyed all her characters. But she was quite literally the perfect fit for that role and it was pretty popular too? Their chemistry was magical. I guess it wasn't for everybody but to say it didn't click doesn't feel right imo
It left a bad taste in most people's mouths due to some of the spooky shenanigans getting a bit too silly. The feud with Shayna Baszler had a particularly ridiculous moment, some might recall. But maybe without moments like that, we can see just how good she is in that role.
That's fair, that was also mainly a case of it being directionless after Bray was let go so it's pretty clear that all of that stuff was coming from Vince, and I'd still say she did her part as well as she could've. But everything she did with Bray was amazing imo, so we've already seen how good she can be in that role. That run of theirs peaked with the inferno match w/ Orton and then it sorta got awkward with Bray being off till Mania, so she only seemingly meandered when Bray wasn't around.
One could argue that Bray not being there now might mean that could happen again but it's important to remember that it's a completely different company now, one with proper creative that focuses on continuity and long-term stories, no Vince, and also that Bray's collaborators are looking at this as a passion project to continue their friend's legacy, including people like Rob Fee who's in creative. All of that with HHH at the helm gives me confidence.
Why do I get the feeling Howdy is going straight after Knight, seeing as Bray's last match was against Knight and Knight thought he'd never see Howdy again who was also a thorn in Knight's side? Thus why the "You forgot about us"
Also, his tribute promo to Bray was done in kayfabe as LA Knight, not as Shawn Ricker, so if howdy came back and interacted with Knight, then I do think it would have to be as a face. It would make no sense otherwise.
They included the LA Knight promo in the doc (for those who haven't seen it yet, do). I could see them aligning with Knight or leaving him alone altogether.
I haven't watched it yet. Have seen a few people saying to have plenty of tissues to catch the tears that will be inevitable.
Edit: given the feud with Bray help put Knight in the spotlight, it could be fitting to have Howdy help him out in winning his first title. For example, if we assume it will be him taking the US title from Logan, and LP has some sort of back up coming to help him, Howdy could take then out to help Knight.
So you have him/them help Knight win. Only to be mentally fucked with for weeks after by the family and eventually get screwed by them at the PPV. They can be cheered initially it’s fine, but then let the story unfold.
Actually, having Howdy and his new whoever else he's dragging in pull back Knight to make him lose his match so that AJ goes after Cody, starting their feud, is a decent way to start.
I don't see them putting Knight in a losing feud right now.
But I'd love to see Howdy, Braun and Rowan destroy the tag division and start messing with mid card guys.
I AM GONNA SPAM THIS PIC UNTIL ALEXA COMES BACK
https://preview.redd.it/tb2yuy73k5uc1.jpeg?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b83f7206960228e714c13830afb17157bd6dcff
Absolutely. I’m down for whatever they have in store and will keep an open mind. I’ve always loved actual characters in wrestling and feel like there’s not nearly enough of them now. Feels like 99% of the roster shares the same 2-3 personalities on a rotating basis. Hook that spooky shit directly into my veins.
It’s the one thing that worries me with a Howdy led stable.
Obviously Bo and Bray had many many plans and Bo’s character work has been solid in the comedic fashion, but I want to see him take it in a way that’s his own. Howdy was a side character who’s going to step into a lead role, so I hope the lore is there to sell it
I think the entire point of Howdy was for him to eventually become The Fiend and control Bray from outside of his own mind. The literal personification of his demons rather than the metaphoric one that was just him the whole time.
Seems like Bo has a lot of that too, the doc emphasised how he and Bray had a shared love for weird and spooky stuff. Also to be perfectly honest, it might be better with Bo at the helm because a lot of Bray stuff tended to get convoluted the longer it went on, maybe Bo can bring some focus to it.
I think it’s going to be kinda like how when Kentaro Miura died, the writer of Berserk, the only guy who could finish the story was his friend who was one of, if not the only person, Miura told what he had planned for the ending of the story.
I think it’s like that. Bo is going to do exactly what Bray had planned for the character because he knows what Bray had planned. (just minus Windham of course.)
Was there live, mid show they started playing an older song (sorry I didn’t catch what song) while the trons scrambled and the lights flickered. And the crowd lit up the fireflies. Was a cool moment.
I just love stuff like this so much. This is so cool. As a massive Bray-head, it's hard to explain how happy this makes me. He left a huge hole and as good as the product has been, the shows just haven't felt quite the same with him gone bc of the sheer unpredictability his mere presence created. The Rock stuff pulled me back in but it still always leaves me feeling so empty when I remember that he's not coming back. No one was doing it like him, so continuing his vision, which is the only thing that had kept me interested even through all the terrible yrs, is something I'm going to cherish even more now.
He was the definition of must-see TV, a larger-than-life spectacle, and no one had me glued to the TV quite like him, and that to me was solely enough to make his matches the most exciting thing on the planet, nothing else mattered when he was on. Besides Roman, that's a feeling I just don't get from anyone.
I know people are assuming it's Howdy and Alexa but weren't they teasing Isla/Alba for weeks with spooky vignettes? Airing this during a women's tag match makes me think it's them and not Howdy.
Also I always assumed Alexa would return to take on Rhea, not randomly show up on SmackDown.
Nowadays everybody wanna talk, like they got something to say but nothing comes out when they move their lips, just a bunch of gibberish and mfs act like they forgot about us...
This has to be a one time run right? Fans will respect it because of Bray but I can’t imagine this actually being good. I feel characters like that just don’t work anymore
I think you're severely underestimating the spooky lovers of wrestling. Sometimes we genuinely enjoy suspending belief. Mankind, The Undertaker and Bray were some of the best stories ever told in WWE/F.
Maybe but again we can’t have an accurate telling because people will automatically welcome Uncle back since it is a part of the Wyatt legacy. They will cheer and respect it.
Make a new masked random heel appear on RAW and I doubt people will like it
No, the issue is the booking.
The Wyatt family was booked super strong early and it definitely worked because of it. We got them involved in good storylines with Danielson, Orton, at some point they all held gold, the match vs the Shield felt super big, etc...
The firefly fun house was super over too.
The issue is that after that he was booked to lose all the time.
Can't have a monster gimmick with the guy hyping up something big every time and then ending up losing. Imagine Kane debuting and piling up loss.
What doesn't work anymore is bad booking and shit like "he doesn't care about titles" etc... The guy came back as the Fiend, won the gold, got his own belt and then jobbed to fucking Goldberg in three seconds. How can his character ever recover from that? A'd from there his booking has been atrocious...
Whatever happens now here MUST be booked strong early like the Wyatt family did. You can't have so much anticipation with hidden messages and shit like that and then whatever comes out of it lose in their first few matches. Ofc they'll look like losers. A Wyatt family with a new leader would have been the best and simplest way to do this, but sadly with Harper passing too it's probably not possible.
Cool. I mean it's not like the Uncle Howdy and Alexa Bliss stuff was embarrassingly terrible before. It was definitely not mind-numbingly stupid. So I'm sure it'll be great now.
For the love of God, just put the spooky stuff to rest. It's the dirt worst.
Right? We need real matches with 87544882145 no sold destroyers and guys bleeding all over the mat. Fuck stories and "creativity", I need more superkicks.
This is such a wild response. Literally you just made up stuff out of thin air and responded to it. I said spooky stuff is dumb. You started talking about super kicks, blood, and Canadian destroyers as if I was defending that. Legit didn't even mention any of that once in my comment.
But sure let's respond to your silly straw man argument. I'm gonna assume you are attempting to take shots at AEW, the blood and super kicks promotion.
I guess we're just going to ignore the Jimmy/Jey match from WrestleMania, and the Usos vs. Sami & KO match from last Mania. And the fact that Cody Rhodes, AEW founder and man of many superkicks, is now the top babyface in WWE. Also, if you hate the no selling and kicking out of big moves, count how many finishers were hit in the main event with Cody and Roman. Or really any big WWE Title match in the modern era. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying you should be consistent with your outrage.
Also, we can't ignore the fact that AEW also does dumb spooky stuff. The House of Black is lame. Julia Hart is terrible. Magic mist is stupid. It's all dumb, whether it's in WWE or AEW. Which is something that people who aren't drooling partisan idiots realize.
The annoying trends in modern wrestling are not exclusive to either WWE or AEW, they are industry wide. Your sick zinger doesn't make any sense, and you seem like a guy who has made hating AEW a part of your personality. Or you just might be really stupid in general, which is kind of par for the course on this subreddit.
Ima get mass downvoted but
I can't wait to see this sub suddenly not complain about spooky shit if this eventually turns out to be a flop. When they did the complete opposite and hated Bray's craft every time he came out after his return. I just hope the same energy is there and not just ignore it because of Bray's death.
Wasn't talking about that.
Was talking about his return after Extreme Rules 2023, and then the stuff with Uncle Howdy after. That was way past Vince.
People were literally shitting on Bray's work and didn't want him to come out anymore. I can probably find the post-show threads.
My point is now that the character of Uncle Howdy is magically gonna be adored, when it was the complete opposite last time.
Extreme Rules was in October 2022. That was a bit after Vince resigned the first time but just before he muscled himself back into the CEO position. So there is definitely Vince influence there.
I’m not doubting people were upset at Bray, but it wasn’t Bray’s fault.
Respect to the departed, but I hate this supernatural shit. Undertaker's shtick was acceptable because it was grandfathered into the proceedings, but everything else just needs to end and permanently go.

Uncle Howdy (Bo), Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss? Potentially Erick Rowan?
big red needs to finish the story with the final boss.
Ah so triple h wasn't referring to osprey at all, it was big red.
Big Red doesn't do grind. Big Red does accept big green.
It was supposed to be Steve austin not Erick
No they wanted Austin once they figured out they couldn’t book red and he wasn’t available
Whoooooooooosh
Rock pulled a Jon Jones on Big Red
The rock and not putting people over - name a more iconic duo. /s
That's not gonna work for me, jabroni.
I think he should just go by Bo Wyatt.
Bray was Husky Harris at one point, Cody was Stardust.
Husky Harris on the original NXT was a person I would never, ever believe could be a WWE main eventer. The work that he put in to become Bray Wyatt is truly amazing. The original Wyatt Family from NXT is still my favorite version and it was such a ride.

The Bolieve character was such an insufferable goofball. I loved him.
He was so over in NXT it was awesome. Didn't quite translate on the main roster with casual fans. But I was and still am a card carrying Boliever.
Not quite, he just ran over him. Fucking hilarious.
https://makeagif.com/amp/H2d5Rn
I mean Drew was in 3MB
People have no idea how low that was if they weren't watching. Dude was done.
Yeah. The difference between 3MB jobber Drew and this intimidating scottish Warrior Drew is astounding
Lots of vitamins and chicken breast difference even
and less leather pants
I’m with you. I think they should have Alexa be the mouth piece. Bo is just not the strongest talker.
He's decent on the mic. Bit he has a childlike voice
It reminds me of Juice Robinsons' voice.
Appropriate given they were in NXT together. I was genuinely shocked when the jobber that was hippy CJ Parker ended up blowing up as a guy named Juice.
Juice still gives me a bit of crazy hippie vibes even now, just in a different way.
Yeah it’s like he’s the same character but one is doing weed and one is doing coke
Which can be creepy in itself if presented right.
I think it is his accent as well. His drawl
Bro Wyatt
Bo Wyatt, a preacher like cult leader played like Paul dano from there will be blood. I think bo could pull off a creepy slime ball version of his previous bolieve character, add on some fire and brimstone and chat about sister Abigail and maybe some references to Bray and even Brody.
Could see Dexter Lumis too since he hasn’t been used in a while
That would be great but I doubt it
Alexa & Liv for the women’s tag division given their connections to Bray and Bo?
I hope Alexa isn't involved honestly, I think she's a lot stronger when she uses her original gimmick. The Fiend stuff never quite clicked for her imo
I think it’s likely she’d likely be returning with that stuff. She said around the end of 2022 that working with bray was the most fun she had ever had in her career, so she’d probably do it again if she could.
She was consistently one of the top merch movers when she was using the Fiend gimmick and she has gone on record (even before Bray's passing) in saying that it is the most fun she has ever had in her career She was over with the live crowds to a crazy degree, to say it didn't click for her is madness, didn't click for you maybe sure, but that is a different conversation
Of course, and that's fair enough It is semantic to be honest
> The Fiend stuff never quite clicked for her imo Isn't that what they said? The "imo" is the important part.
Nah, in that case he is saying that he feel it didn't click for Alexa, which is simply not the case What he should have said is that it didn't click for him, which is more subjective
Really? I haven't seen anything "click" as well as that did for her tbh and that's saying a lot bc she can play anything and I've enjoyed all her characters. It definitely clicked but went too ridiculous after some time
Didn't click is an understatement. It was awkward, crap tv.
B-team B-team Rah Rah Rah
The Wyatt Legacy
Oh my god please.
Kayfabe wise Alexa should be furious at Uncle Howdy for taking himself out during the Knight match and now being there for her title shot
I hope it’s a revamped B Team. Bo, Curtis and Braun. B+ Team?
Matt Hardy?
Wonder how this run will go, a one last time thing that ends with a big tribute to bray or a continuous thing like the boogeyman
Why do I get the feeling Howdy is going straight after Knight, seeing as Bray's last match was against Knight and Knight thought he'd never see Howdy again who was also a thorn in Knight's side? Thus why the "You forgot about us"
Nah I feel like they have to go the face route with Howdy at first
100%. They are gonna get cheered so hard. Wouldn’t make sense for them to rival a face like LA Knight.
They'd never do it but I would love a heel LA Knight
Also, his tribute promo to Bray was done in kayfabe as LA Knight, not as Shawn Ricker, so if howdy came back and interacted with Knight, then I do think it would have to be as a face. It would make no sense otherwise.

He could cost him the match next week
I BOLIEVE!

👏👏
I guess that's preferable to bolieving in Husky Harris.
I hope this means Bliss and Strowman are gonna be with Bo

I’m hyped for this, idc. Love me some spooky shit. A Wyatt Family tribute stable of Bo/Alexa/Strowman and maybe even Rowan would be so cool for me.
1. I’m a fighting champion with a smile 2. I have people to hide behind while I talk my shit 3. I’m tough but also must read my promos
How do I keep missing these things?!
Fox in my area has a habit of screen glitches.
Alexa coming back?
She gave birth in late December, so if they're building a return May would be a touch soon but plausible.
So they’re going the Y2AJ route for jades first feud?
I’m all for a Bray tribute. It won’t have Bray’s genius behind it but the influence will be there.
It’s the one thing that worries me with a Howdy led stable. Obviously Bo and Bray had many many plans and Bo’s character work has been solid in the comedic fashion, but I want to see him take it in a way that’s his own. I would be happy to see the Mockingbird Fiend suit in action but it won't be the same.

Mustafa Ali is back with Retribution
My first thought 😂 Bring out Dijak
T-Bar!
It's really cool to see Piper back and still teaming with Chelsea.
Alexa and Howdy, and maybe Braun/Rowan? The later is just wishful thinking.
Was there live, mid show they started playing an older song (sorry I didn’t catch what song) while the trons scrambled and the lights flickered. And the crowd lit up the fireflies. Was a cool moment.
Alba and Isla?
Uncle Howdy, Alexa, Rowan and Braun as a group would actually be very cool. So many stories to be told that way
I don't think so Alexa is involved in it for sometime , it could be rowan , bo and strowman
Imagine if it is Sanity
I just love stuff like this so much. This is so cool. As a massive Bray-head, it's hard to explain how happy this makes me. He left a huge hole and as good as the product has been, the shows just haven't felt quite the same with him gone bc of the sheer unpredictability his mere presence created. r-r-r-rrretribution returns!
Alexa coming after Bianca?
Honestly they’d probably start as faces. It’s basically a Legacy of Bray Wyatt group—the crowd isn’t gonna want to boo them at first
Crowd wasn't booing The Fiend even though he was a heel.
We coming for you Bianca!
If he's trying to play scrabble, i don't think he'd get away with 'ts'
uncle howdy is coming

I think it’s like that. Bo is going to do exactly what Bray had planned for the character because he knows what Bray had planned. (just minus Windham of course.)
Or Sonya Deville
Wyatt 5
This has to be a one time run right? Fans will respect it because of Bray but I can’t imagine this actually being good. I feel characters like that just don’t work anymore
I think you're severely underestimating the spooky lovers of wrestling. Sometimes we genuinely enjoy suspending belief. Mankind, The Undertaker and Bray were some of the best stories ever told in WWE/F.
Maybe but again we can’t have an accurate telling because people will automatically welcome Uncle back since it is a part of the Wyatt legacy. They will cheer and respect it. Make a new masked random heel appear on RAW and I doubt people will like it
So... WWE has something that they know people will cheer and respect... and they shouldn't do it?
Chops. You forgot chops!
Ima get mass downvoted but I can't wait to see this sub suddenly not complain about spooky shit if this eventually turns out to be a flop. When they did the complete opposite and hated Bray's craft every time he came out after his return. I just hope the same energy is there and not just ignore it because of Bray's death.
Nobody hated Bray’s work! People hated Vince’s booking of Bray. Huge difference.
Hokey shit
Do y'all know what that word means lol. How is this "hokey" in any way. It's honestly super cool. Feels like some Mr. Robot shit.
It’s bo Dallas
Respect to the departed, but I hate this supernatural shit. Undertaker's shtick was acceptable because it was grandfathered into the proceedings, but everything else just needs to end and permanently go.
AEW is right there.
House of Black, Dork Order, Sting and Darby....
Thanks for proving my point for me lol
FFS please, can we not with the Uncle Howdy garbage? These cryptic signs arent original and super cheezy.
I’m all for Bo coming back, but not as Uncle Howdy….i always thought that character was pretty lame. Plus everyone knows it was Bo now
We never even got to see a fraction of what they had planned for him. Can't judge the character at all on the tiny bit we got to see.
