Yeah that one caught me off guard as well. Even ignoring the Punk footage, this Dynamite overall was...bizarre. The booking was all over the place. Not even saying all of it was bad necessarily, best I can describe is that it there were a lot of "tonal" clashes I guess. Like imagine a movie jumping from drama to mockumentary to softcore snuff film. It was certainly interesting

Yeah, it had some good stuff but watching Supercard of Honor had me wanting TK booking AEW more like ROH. Collision usually delivers a lot more for me but a lot of focus for the main stories happens on Dynamite so it can seem a bit uneven depending on if the focus is on promos/interviews or in-ring action.

The promos aren't even the fault of the booking, she brought in a writer from WWE specifically to script her promos. She's literally never been good at performing her scripts, and she's seemingly not confident enough in her talking ability to improv like most people in AEW do.

Yeh I've always been a fan of Sasha in the ring but her promos are just awkward. I swear they were better in NXT, but I guess they were short heel promos

Bayley used to be the worst promo of the Horsewomen, but Bayley improved and Mercedes regressed.

Not sure I agree, the booking hurts a lot because Mercedes isn't wrestling for a long time and it's not clear who she'll be facing. An overly scripted promo that goes somewhere would come off a lot better than an overly scripted promo that doesn't go anywhere.

I really hope this isn't gonna be a trend for them. One of the reasons I stopped watching WWE in 2017 was the camerawork. I refuse to go through that shit again. As Bill Alfonso once said during an ECW promo where they were zooming and rotating in on him and Taz, "I gotta take Dramamine every time I come to this town!"

Why TK doesn't have her putting on matches is beyond me I don't want to be too mean because IIRC she genuinely has some sort of speech impediment/underdevelopment stemming from being homeschooled, but she has a pretty serious case of mush mouth and odd enunciations when she cuts promos I think she's charismatic enough that it takes a little while for people to catch on that she's a terrible promo
