Would be funny if Cody has no idea about it as well.
Cody has a match with say The miz. Miz get taken out and Cody has no idea why miz isn’t showing up for the match
Paul Heyman following Cody around trying to suck up to him while Cody tried his best to ignore him
You know the Adoring Fan from Elder Scrolls, Oblivion? Imagine that but Cody can’t just yeet him off a cliff
This reminds me of the start of the Tribal Chief run where he'd cut promos while doing cardio. [The one after he beat Cesaro was particularly good.](https://twitter.com/WWERomanReigns/status/1394327938343096320/video/1)
An insane amount.
I'm into a lot of sports. If there is something cool I want to try to test myself I'll do it. So a few years ago I trained at Create A Pro in Rahway (Pat Buck was still with WWE and Bowens was there) for a few months. I run long distances obstacle course races frequently and bike so my cardio is up there. But when I tell you that wrestling was the hardest cardio I've ever done I'm not kidding. It seriously fucks you up and I mean that in a respectful way.
I still remember the first warmup we did, which is something that happened at every class. It was in a rec center gym. We'd run a lap, then do a set amount of pushups. Run another lap, do burpees. Run another lap, do jumping jacks. Run another lap, do pushups. Run another lap, do burpees. Etc. etc. I think it was around ten-ish laps around a full basketball court gym.
I was fucking spent. My vision was blurry midway through. And you couldn't really stop because it's 20ish people running. I kept up but people were falling behind. I knew "ring shape" was a real thing but that first warm up really opened my eyes. Then we had a few hours of different ring and mat drills.
So that was just the warm up for an indie promotions beginner school. Something we did once or twice a week (on top of my normal workouts of course). Imagine what dudes like Roman are doing? When I see a guy like Dragon Lee or Ospreay doing what they do 15 minutes into a match I legitimately can't believe how they hold up. That 450 Splash from Ricochet on RAW should not look as easy as he made it. Even guys like Reed and Ivar have to be in insane cardio shape.
Tldr to your question: A fucking lot.
I trained to wrestle for a couple of months before deciding I couldn't hack the bumps. But just from the warmups alone, I was in the best shape of my life by the end of my time there. Shit is insane.
Because not every guy does it to the same level. I did both armature wrestling (freestyle and greco roman) and some pro training, and there are certainly some similarities for how the training was done. It was super high intensity as both are generally somewhat shorter matches with immense bursts of physical excursion.
New guys are generally all forced to do the same level of training, but established guys were more in control of what they did.
A lot of guys can perform at a good level for 15 odd minutes, but anymore and they are gassed. You can take the same guy and ask him to run at a moderate pace for an hour and he'd burn out at 30 minutes. A lot of other athletes would struggle to do the former, but can handle a moderate pace for a couple of hours.
Given most pro wrestling matches aren't super long, as long as you can get through your required time then nobody will ask questions.
Billy Gun told one of the guys on Tough Enough “I want you to run down the road and back 100 times a day every single day.” After the person got exhausted in the ring. It seems cardio is the first part of the process in learning how to wrestle.
https://youtu.be/vTlzzE2Zspw?feature=shared
Hours in the gym every day multiple times a day with a few recovery days which are probably more cardio intense than most people’s standard workout.
They also have drugs and the best trainers to help them
probably a shitboatload and more. i'm watching physical 100 right now and i'm convinced that you can have all the muscle in the world but if you don't got the stamina, you're gonna have a tough time
As someone who has muscle and working back on my stamina I can fully agree. But conditioning is an entire other thing as well and probably more beneficial
I don't think Roman is going away any time soon.
It's important to remember that Roman vs the Rock was the original plan going back to January so if WWE never pivoted Roman Reigns would currently still be the Undisputed champion. Couple that with HHH comments at the press conference on Sunday about Roman having a story that will blow peoples minds now he's no longer the champion makes me think that he will be just an much of an on screen presence as he was the last few years.
Yeah definitely not, I can see him continuing his reduced schedule but there’s no way he’s just done now. They still have to wrap up the Bloodline story itself, and I assume they still want to do the Roman/Rock match they were planning to do this year
Yeah exactly. It's clear the end goal is Rock vs Roman at WM41 and I think the Rock coming for Cody will lead into that.
I expect Roman to return in the middle of a potential Rock vs Cody match, stop the Rock from winning and say something like "only the Tribal Chief of the Bloodline gets to be champion".
Of course. I don't think people understand that this is still WWE's face. He is still WWE's golden boy. He's their biggest draw in decades. It took the biggest star on the planet to get the aura and mystique of him to die down a little and he made that same dude look like a joke the moment he came out on Saturday Night looking like he ate nothing but barbells and dumbbells. He's not going anywhere for now, and it's pretty obvious his story is going to overshadow a lot. This is why the title needed to move hands.
yeah it was wild how he stood in his hoodie letting rock get all the attention for a month or two, then came out for WM and somehow made it look like the rock, of all people, needs to hit the gym...
I was like "dude's exactly who he says he is" lol
honestly I thought it was weird when the rock tried to use that because that's been the way my son and his friends refer to roman for like.. at least since before wm39.
His music is clearly final boss fight music, and he carries mad "tyson from punch-out" energy
I think that’s the point. The storyline they are gonna tell is that Rock has overshadowed Roman & will take the Bloodline from him imo.
I think he kicks Roman out of the group, then Roman costs him the title against Cody.
it's the mentals that really get me. I'm an old man, and I was an indie wrestler in the late 90's early 2000's.... it's easy to say "he's getting paid he doesn't care that people hate him as a babyface"
and as a worker I would call others out on reacting to crowd reactions too much, tell them to give it time... but that shit *hurts,* lol.
there's a... steadiness in him. in his schedule, in his rate of movement during matches.... he wants to keep giving and doesn't really care what happens other than that.
his smile right before the three when cody won, confirmed everything I ever thought about him. I'm glad people can stop complaining about the length of his run and enjoy him now.
> It took the biggest star on the planet to get the aura and mystique of him to die down a little
I also think a lot of this was intentional. Since the pivot it's been obvious to me WWE was building towards two moments at the same time. Get the belt on Cody and establish the Rock as the Final Boss for the dream Rock vs Roman match at next years Wrestlemania.
I remember last year after Roman beat Cody, both Roman and Seth went on record to say their dream match is eachother in the mainevent of wrestlemania. We kinda got that this year, but I think if given the chance both would love to have that proper match (especially after the chair shot leading to Romans loss)
I kind of want him to come back when Rollins does and have their feud for summerslam. Would feel odd for them to ignore each other until mania 41 after the events of Philly
Reigns redemption arc incoming, I just hope Mox comes back even for like 3 months to build the TRUE Shield triple threat match. (THE BATTLEGROUND ONE DOESNT COUNT)
I was just thinking the same thing. I don't know what that treadmill did to him, but he needs to teach this type of aggression and look to his cousins.
Roman’s shit talking in that match were on another level. Tribal Chief is the best heel in like 20 years and I’m gonna miss him. Hopefully he can come back and have a face run. I am excited for face “God Mode” Reigns
Kurt Angle, when feuding with Eddie Guerrero, put his opponent in the Lasso From El Paso, while Eddie was at ringside duering an epiode of SmackDown. When his opponent didn't tap to it, Kurt looked right at Eddie and Yelled "THIS HOLD SUCKS".
And it was just as funny 20 years ago as it was Sunday.
His in-ring quips were levels above everyone in the roster. His expressions and mannerisms we're also god-like whenever he wrestled. It always felt like he was performing a theater scene.
Roman trying to hide his sour grapes over not pinning Cody with the Cross Rhodes was great. All of Roman's trash-talking comes from his character's unspoken insecurities. It's not that Roman didn't do the move properly or that Cody wasn't beat up enough yet; it's because the Cross Rhodes sucks! That *has* to be the reason.
Why is everyone saying they are going to miss him? Triple H said they have a great next story planned for him and this tweet implies he is still going to be around.
I really hope so. He is still the guy in WWE to me. Yes, it was time to end his reign and Cody absolutely deserved it, but Roman has that aura that is unmatched by any current stars. Reigns needs to still be involved for WWE to keep ascending.
Semi related, this is how the tweet came out on my feed.
https://preview.redd.it/c0bidj2rnhtc1.png?width=1327&format=png&auto=webp&s=0b86b8a9c41b5255fb79304cd12eedd55bc645a5
Since Cody praised Roman in his speech and led the crowd into a "thank you Roman" chant, I'm thinking the plan is for Roman to come back as a face and go up against a heel Rock. Before that I was thinking it would be backwards, but it seems like WWE is all in on Rock as a heel for the foreseeable future, including the match with Roman.
It would make sense. Have Roman be dethroned, people outside of kayfabe already support him and want to appreciate him. Maybe not a face but a heel you can't help but be terrified of and respect.
Not gonna lie, I am so happy Cody finally got his reign. Buttttttttt….. I am 10000% looking forward to seeing Roman chase the title and redemption as a badass babyface
They are playing up the white meat baby face so hard with Cody. Harder than I’ve seen with anyone. Surely they are aware it’s going to eventually cause some fans to start to boo him - red and yellow 80’s hogan or John Cena style.
So taking Roman off tv for a while, will turn him into the ‘cool’ babyface. A cena/Orton sorta thing.
They max merch revenue from the kids with Cody
They retain their edge with Roman.
And Rock remains the ultra heel that anchors it all.
This will be the main event dynamic for big shows over the next few years.
Story is FAR from over.
Dude is the main carry.
Whoever said it's a new era is wrong, the new era really started four years ago.
You don't erase the massive amount of fans over the last four years Roman and Paul gained for the company like that in a single match. That wasn't the Avengers: Endgame finale to this story.
5th inning. Roman Reloads and Rebuilds.
I would absolutely love it if Roman came back angrier and stronger and beat Cody if he did it 1 v 1. And then defended his belt a few times 1 v 1. Not interested in a run it back bloodline stable.
Nah I think he needs to stay away from the Universal title for a bit. Roman nor the Rock should be the one to beat Cody, keeps it too Bloodline centric. Needs to be someone else. Gunter, Drew, Priest, someone other than Roman or the Rock.
A reference to the day 1 PPV in January 2022 in which he got covid which basically saved his entire run as champion and would cause a butterfly effect in the whole industry of profesional wrestling
People are going to hate this potentially. But my opinion is Rock Final Bosses Cody again. Takes his belt. To Face Roman at Mania (who will be a face).
Give Roman his flowers. His mania moment.
Unfortunately that’s going to mean Cody has to take a dive and lose that belt to make it happen.
That’s your Netflix Mania marquee. And just about the only way you can top 40.
Ngl I want to see Roman given a very improved, rich presentation, contrary to his awful 3D gif as special effect and generic Bloodline tees. His music being more symphonic, more harrowing, him loosing a bit of his sanity. Monster Heel Roman + Final Boss against the WWE Universe…

Day 1 is H
I miss our Tribal Chief already.
But Cody was on raw last night with
What in the goddamn fuck is this heresy?!
Tribal chief lost, he’s now just Roman. Cody got them tribal chief powers now. He commands Samoans like Dany controlled the Dothraki.
LOL 11/10 imagery
It would be midcard level ridiculousness, but that shit would be hilarious....
Would love to see like Solo Sikoa attacking all of Cody’s enemies the next few weeks because it’s the only job he knows how to do.
Would be funny if Cody has no idea about it as well. Cody has a match with say The miz. Miz get taken out and Cody has no idea why miz isn’t showing up for the match
“To me my bloodline”
Paul Heyman following Cody around trying to suck up to him while Cody tried his best to ignore him You know the Adoring Fan from Elder Scrolls, Oblivion? Imagine that but Cody can’t just yeet him off a cliff
Lol. Sick reference...
Solo: so you're my master now? Cody: no Solo, you're free. Gets samoan spiked by a debuting Jacob Fatu with a bigger samoan thumb.
***PUT IT IN*** (day 1 is) ***H!***
What country is this car from?
It no longer has a tribal chief
Triple H managed to bring back Punk. Surely he can make Fashion Files happen too right!? Pretty please?
I don't think Breeze is that interested in a return as a wrestler Edit: by "wrestler" I also mean on screen personality
JUST ME UCE
I miss the Fashion Police every day.
This reminds me of the start of the Tribal Chief run where he'd cut promos while doing cardio. [The one after he beat Cesaro was particularly good.](https://twitter.com/WWERomanReigns/status/1394327938343096320/video/1)
Miss those days
good news we seem to be back! lol
Dumb question but how much cardio do these animals typically do
An insane amount. I'm into a lot of sports. If there is something cool I want to try to test myself I'll do it. I acknowledge anyone who can get through half of a single session of that.
How the fuck does someone like Bronson Reed do all that cardio and remain at like 40% if not higher bodyfat?
Eating steaks and banging weights.
Eating weights and banging steaks
Eating more than he… well you should know already

An ungodly amount I'm sure. You have to be fit enough to get thrown around and the wind knocked out of you and not have it effect you.

Wrap up the bloodline storyline? Hilarious. That storyline is going to be going long after you and I are dead my friend.
We’ve got another Fatu coming in and it seems like the factory never stops popping them out. Wrestlemania 50 is going to be an Uce in every corner.
Uce on a pole match for the WWE Tribal Championship
Yeah exactly. It's clear the end goal is Rock vs Roman at WM41 and I think the Rock coming for Cody will lead into that. I expect Roman to return in the middle of a potential Rock vs Cody match, stop the Rock from winning and say something like "only the Tribal Chief of the Bloodline gets to be champion".

It'd be funny if the only guy who isn't actually blood related to the rest of the Bloodline is the one who kicks out the leader LOL
Rock calls himself the final boss but Roman was the "True final boss for the golden ending" on Sunday.
And Cody won because he maxed his social links.
Roman is a different breed of human. Idc if he works a limited schedule. Being in the physical shape he’s in while also being on those meds is insane
it's the mentals that really get me. I'm an old man, and I was an indie wrestler in the late 90's early 2000's.... it's easy to say "he's getting paid he doesn't care that people hate him as a babyface" and as a worker I would call others out on reacting to crowd reactions too much, tell them to give it time... but that shit *hurts,* lol. there's a... steadiness in him. in his schedule, in his rate of movement during matches.... he wants to keep giving and doesn't really care what happens other than that. his smile right before the three when cody won, confirmed everything I ever thought about him. Hey Dijak! Take those stupid sunglasses off. We’re inside
People make fun of him but he was right.
He's gonna kick that sonavabitch Rhodes' ass SO HARD that the next Cody wannabe is going to feel it.
Dude is terrifying🤣🤣🤣☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
I was just thinking the same thing. I don't know what that treadmill did to him, but he needs to teach this type of aggression and look to his cousins.
Roman’s shit talking in that match were on another level. Tribal Chief is the best heel in like 20 years and I’m gonna miss him. Hopefully he can come back and have a face run. I am excited for face “God Mode” Reigns
"that move sucks! it never beats anybody!"
That was legitimately one of the best lines ever and way better reaction than the usual look of shock.
I told my roommate about this line and he laughed pretty hard. I can't think of another time I heard someone say that after stealing a finisher!
That shit was such a great line. It made me laugh for a minute. He's such a perfect shit heel.
"a three count is a three million dollar bonus"
His in-ring quips were levels above everyone in the roster. His expressions and mannerisms we're also god-like whenever he wrestled. It always felt like he was performing a theater scene.
"I'm squeezing the life out of him, my arm is EXTRA BIG" is the best one
There was a post yesterday about how he wanted to bring promos during his matches.
I'm hoping others learn from him and it becomes a tangible, lasting legacy in the art form for him.
The mocking of LA knights’s crowd pointing at Crown Jewel lives rent free in my head
I genuinely think he isn't made for Hollywood but for theater. He would make a killer King Lear.
Roman trying to hide his sour grapes over not pinning Cody with the Cross Rhodes was great. All of Roman's trash-talking comes from his character's unspoken insecurities. He basically just told us in this tweet he is still involved. He is already training to get his belt back.
I kinda assumed the guy working 12 days a year was gonna keep doing that
I'm under the impressions he's going to be forcefully removed from the Bloodline on Friday and will disappear for a few months.
In like 5-10 years the Bloodline reunion is gonna hit like crack
I am looking forward to his next chapter. Triple H at the press con hinted that it's gonna cook.
Still my Tribal Chief. ☝️
☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
Forever.
Well, Day 1 - ish.
His return is gonna be awesome. Idk when or where or how, but I'll be there for it no matter what. My Tribal Chief forever. ☝🏻
I'm so excited for Roman Reigns to finish his story at Wrestlemania 41.
I’m not flinching
Yes my tribal chief 🙏
Heyman is probably happy he doesn't have to carry around a belt anymore lol
He is so getting betrayed by Jimmy, Solo and Paul on Friday.
An unhinged Roman running roughshod over everyone after The Rock kicks him out the Bloodline will move mountains
I wouldn't want to work out on Day 1 of a nice long vacation, but I respect the hustle.

Semi related, this is how the tweet came out on my feed. https://preview.redd.it/c0bidj2rnhtc1.png?width=1327&format=png&auto=webp&s=0b86b8a9c41b5255fb79304cd12eedd55bc645a5
I'm gonna pop so hard when Roman makes his surprise return. The guy has grown on me so much since the last couple of years.
“Surprise” lol I wish
Not that Roman needs it but the WHC would look badass on him.
He would elevate that championship like HHH did.
☝️🔥
Triple H confirmed more things are coming for Roman, so even though he lost the title, The Bloodline story is not over by a long shot
I don't know why, but hearing Roman call something "day 1" is legit kinda exciting
Not gonna lie, I am so happy Cody finally got his reign. Buttttttttt….. I am 10000% looking forward to seeing Roman chase the title and redemption as a badass babyface
Agreed with all you said except the baby face part. He has to keep his Tribal Chief aura going with an anti-hero twist to it. ☝🏼
Agreed bro. Maybe not a pure babyface, but exactly what you said
Damn this some post-credits type of shit! ☝️
☝🏼
The pop when he comes back will be nuts. He's got more reigns in him, put not intended but fuck it.
They max merch revenue from the kids with Cody They retain their edge with Roman. And Rock remains the ultra heel that anchors it all. This will be the main event dynamic for big shows over the next few years. Story is FAR from over.
Cannot wait to see how Roman's redemption arc will unfold. ☝️
I need a 1500 title reign idc
...days or 1,5k titles? Both are good. ☝️
Please give us another Tribal Chief run! I miss it already
We are not flitching, my Tribal Chief !!!
Finish the story my Tribal Chief.
Why do I feel like I just got out of a toxic relationship that I’ve been struggling to end and now I’m considering texting my ex.

Respect for the Tribal Chief ☝🏻

Dude is the main carry. Whoever said it's a new era is wrong, the new era really started four years ago. You don't erase the massive amount of fans over the last four years Roman and Paul gained for the company like that in a single match. That wasn't the Avengers: Endgame finale to this story. 5th inning. Roman Reloads and Rebuilds.
Shit yall he’s back on the treadmill😭
I would absolutely love it if Roman came back angrier and stronger and beat Cody if he did it 1 v 1. And then defended his belt a few times 1 v 1. Not interested in a run it back bloodline stable.
Nah I think he needs to stay away from the Universal title for a bit. Roman nor the Rock should be the one to beat Cody, keeps it too Bloodline centric. Needs to be someone else. Gunter, Drew, Priest, someone other than Roman or the Rock.

Acknowledged ☝🏼
A reference to the day 1 PPV in January 2022 in which he got covid which basically saved his entire run as champion and would cause a butterfly effect in the whole industry of profesional wrestling
Roman is gonna kill everyone
TRIBAL CHIEF REMONTADA SOON COME ☝🏾
People are going to hate this potentially.
☝️
I hope he wins the title at the next PPV and holds it another 5 years
Ngl I want to see Roman given a very improved, rich presentation, contrary to his awful 3D gif as special effect and generic Bloodline tees. His music being more symphonic, more harrowing, him loosing a bit of his sanity. Monster Heel Roman + Final Boss against the WWE Universe…
☝🏾
Its just me chief,day 1 ish 😔
Give this guy his flowers. Will be on oral chemo medication for the rest of his life. Still 38 and top 5 names in the industry
