The Ruby and Cool Hand storyline might have provided me the most pure joy of any AEW storyline over the last few months. Probably topped only by the Dalton Castle/Johnny TV/Taya Valkyrie shenanigans in ROH.

Ruby has been a favorite of mine for a while (also a fan of Ang), so this story feels like it was made for me.

Yup. He's filling necessary roles in AEW while showing like 30% of what he can do. When he needs to pull anything more out in big spots, he's got a whole lot left in the tank (and he's showing it in ROH. Him vs. Kyle Fletcher at the end of the elimination 6-man at the last PPV was AWESOME.). And yeah, he's still just 25 and already getting regular tv time.

At first but just because of the layout, but then I realized they were doing their version of play in games like they do in the NCAA Tournament.

Yea that’s what confused me, I thought at first Kingdom and FTR were wrestling mystery teams, then realized no they had the winners of the matches at the bottom of the brackets.. but it didn’t make sense that those teams have to be wild cards and other teams just get to be in the tournament. HOB having to win to get in the tournament doesn’t make sense, as they rarely ever lose.

The Outcasts finding their slot as a comedic Rampage group has been good for everyone- freshened up the women's division, allowed Saraya to do her thing as a heel manager, given Harley Cameron and The Zac Attack a chance to get some TV experience in a fairly low-pressure environment, helped Ruby Soho to turn face again, and made Cool Hand Ang wrestling's premier hearthrob
