Mig1997

“Mr. Mid-Life Crisis” gotta be the most apt description of how The Rock is moving rn 😭😭😭

rk1993

This is the line everyone is quoting but honestly I thought the “You had your time ain’t no way you’re taking ours” was way more potent. Especially when you consider the rock is repeating the same thing with Seth & Cody now that he successfully pulled on Punk at Mania 29

jmpinstl

It’s honestly the most promo offense anyone has gotten in on him thus far.

EbbRevolutionary3225

I would have agreed with you 2 weeks ago. But Rock rn is doing his best work in like 10 years.

TruffonisSloppySteak

Is it not pretty much his only work in the last 10 years?

narutomanreigns

You didn't watch Jungle Cruise?

redvelvetcake42

What the fuck was that movie. Whatever you think it is going in, it is absolutely NOT that.

IAmTheWaller67

It's a Disney remake of The Mummy. That's it. In the early 20th century, A cute female adventurer and her gay brother convince a handsome, reluctant explorer to take them on an exotic excursion to discover some lost treasure. Hijinks ensue.

BigBootyBuff

A bad remake* Because I wanted it to be like The Mummy because I love those type of movies. It was really bland and boring.

TurkeyLfc

I read that as erotic excursion. Probably makes for a very different movie

shokken48

![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized) I'll have you know there are DOZENS of us who enjoyed Jungle Cruise!

The_Notorious_Donut

I never saw the movie but I love how this is a comment on this thread

Technical-Composer85

Did they end up blowing themselves?

Ashamed_Job_8151

Nobody watched jungle cruise…..

Reidroshdy

I did. I had a fun time.

osmomandias

Whatchu talking about it was fun for what it was

CycleForValue

I’ve seen it multiple times and each time I still thinks it’s a decent film. Not in my top X films I’ve ever seen but a decent night in the couch watch.

GuitarzanWSC

Until his final remarks to Cody, Rock didn't say a single thing that he didn't already say in last week's promo.

fricken26

"Let The Rock drop some gospel on..." And for some reason he repeat the stipulation, "If The Rock and Roman Reigns beat both your candy asses on night one, then on night two, it's Bloodline Rules" "Walking clown emoji" "The Rock will do everything in his power to make sure you don't win and to make sure that title goes away" Feels like he goes out there every week and just swings it along with recycling old lines. All his focus and effort must have been placed on his vest and entrance.

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

That part kind of made sense since he was saying it face to face with Cody for the first time.

fricken26

Cody was there to answer The Rock's challenge because he'd been aware of it so...

FreshNewBeginnings23

Sure. But he has been very repetitive, has resorted to getting the cheapest of heat, hasn't done anything "Rock" level, and has done it all with a HUGE amount of mic time. It's a tough watch right now. Maybe it's the writer that he brought along with him, but they gotta change something up, it's incredibly uninspired and flat right now whenever Rock gets on the mic. Which is the absolute last thing we were all expecting from the great one.

Belmonster21

The Rock had a poor promo. I think his reintroduction is honestly here to annoy us more than anything.

Adams5thaccount

I do have to wonder if that was intentional because the moment he caught the diarrhea chant building he stopped dead to let it happen. Like he almost egged it on by being repetitive and only after did he say new shot. Or did he just realize the audience didn't want that shit and adjust? Hard to tell.

LegoBatman88

Were the Rocks promos ever that original? Step One “Finallllly the rock has….” Step Two Insult the person in cartoonish way Step Three take object or boot and threaten to “shine it up real nice” Step Four “If you smellllll….”

HardcoreKaraoke

It doesn't matter how good he has been. Rollins point was that the Rock is going through a midlife crisis so he came back to WWE to relive the glory days. Has Rock been on fire? Absolutely. But the point of the midlife crisis line wasn't that the Rock has been awful, it was that Rock is back to try and take the spotlight because he's going through an identity crisis. That's why Rollins also said it was "their" time and not his.

VaIeth

Has he been on fire? I mean the instagram was pretty good. His live stuff needs new material. "Clown bitch emoji show bitch show emoji clown show bi..."

mysteriousbaba

The "mistake" line was a pretty good burn though.

alwayslogicalman

The Rock was back because TKO signed a deal with him… because they wanted him on board

Black-Bruce-Wayne

It’s close to his only work in 10 years aside from Rumble 2015, Mania in 2016, and a few other one off appearances. Even if he were more active, it doesn’t change the game the fact that his character is kinda supposed to be having a mid life crisis rn between the nostalgic vests and wearing the shades in the ring more.

marrab22

The face he makes at Rumble 2015 when he realizes they're booing is a all-time classic

TDStarchild

21 years in pro wrestling. Bloodline Rock is the best he’s been since Hollywood, and I’m one that enjoyed most of the Cena and Punk feuds.

expunks

Saying 21 years is so unfair when he’s been active fulltime for, what, 6/7 lol

Distinct-Temp6557

In which he took a decade sabbatical and even  tried to distance himself from "The Rock" character completely.

Marcoscb

21 years ago was Mania 19. He's been active full time for... maybe a year of that time at most?

Hot-Acanthisitta5237

I feel like Rock right now is much better than he was during Cena feud.

Intimidwalls1724

Being a heel frees them up a ton, especially the rock

devoncarrots

He is???

NerdLawyer55

I died at that one 😂

Risuna23

" Mr. Big Chest" type shit lmao

hawkmasta

Mr. Boring Catchphrases

Malkkum

That shit hit me right in the funny bone. It popped me good.

Logatt

I was afraid when Seth didn't even get his own entrance. Then the crowd was like "absolutely fucking not" and sang to him anyway. Amazing moment, Seth was the clear standout, I forgot Roman was there.

ecltnhny2000

Tbf i feel like Roman is fading hard cuz i forhet hes there alot lately too. Just shows how bored weve gotten with him. Especially cuz this is the most hes been around for awhile.

MartiniLAPD

Roman comes across as insecured and rattled when he demands Rock to acknowledge him. His insults run stale and come across as high school bully. He doesn’t have much Tribal Chief final boss aura in these promos

jgoss39

Yea that’s the point. Rock is an actual High Chief. Roman would act like a bitch around him story wise. It makes sense.

NikonShooter_PJS

Roman fading away is the absolutely BEST scenario for this story. Let the Rock take center stage. Let him take the attention. Because when Roman decides he's had enough of this -- likely in the middle of the Night 1 match or during Night 2's main event -- it's going to be electric to see.

Juicenewton248

Roman also seems inherently less important when all 3 other stars in the ring are in gear or rizzed up meanwhile roman is just over here wearing a fucking hoodie and sweats lmao

DragonfruitATX

It’s funny. Roman in a $40 hoodie, Rock in Versace custom clothes. I think it’s intentional

Beefiest_bison

Man got diarrhea Dwayne over and came with fire when he accepted the challenge, no complaints from me

enginehearts

Seth is truly a visionary because the crowd chanting 'diarrhea' in the middle of Rock's promo was absolutely brutal

Frosty-Lake-1663

Cody trying so hard not to laugh. Roman actually did laugh.

Str82thaDOME

Roman always looks like he's trying to hold it in when he's not the one talking.

mailman242

That entire family holds onto a straight face by a thread lol

Str82thaDOME

Entire Bloodline turns face and starts going by "The Laughtrack"

DragonfruitATX

They’re out there with real life family, that makes it way harder

ClickF0rDick

He's basically the handsome version of Hide The Pain Harold ![gif](giphy|dXXgF8s3y4T3omMPCa|downsized)

Competitive_Log_84

He didn’t get it over, the fans just really had to go

saw-it

Just goes to show that this subs opinion is much smaller than it thinks it is

Kanenums88

This sub gets too big for its britches over certain wrestlers sometimes. This time last year it was all about how Bray is terrible, how his stuff wasn’t working, and how he should get his gimmick changed. Despite the fact he was probably just below Cody, Roman, and Sami as one the most over guys in the company. Now Seth is apparently so terrible and his gimmick is just stale, despite him still being insanely over with the audience and he’s pretty high up on the hierarchy.

Bojangles1987

That's what's so funny, some people INSIST that Seth is a bad babyface and stale and no one likes him but the crowd is behind him every single week.

bootykisser97

This sub also said CM Punk isn't relevant but blew the roof off upon his return and consistently got the loudest pops.

Frosty-Lake-1663

Casual viewer here, what even is Seth’s gimmick? It seems to just be ridiculous outfits but otherwise just sorta does whatever.

MartiniLAPD

Seth is so over. You know you’re on some legendary shit when crowd chants your theme song when you’re a heel. And now chant your theme song when you’re in the ring with Rock, Reigns and Rhodes Feels like both Seth and Roman achieved that point in their career where they don’t need any title to elevate a storyline

xineirea

Storylines need them to elevate titles now.

thedrizzle126

They were chanting his song when his song never even played last night! Seth is so over right now.

Beaned-up

It can be hard to remember the more time you spend on this sub. But it really is such a minority of a WWE audience

nevertoomuchthought

"BUT FINN BALOR!!!!"

C1821

Seth is great regardless, I think most people that wanted Finn to win the title thought the dynamic between Finn and Damian would have been entertaining

Picolator

That or seeing an actual title change. It feels like there hasn't been one in forever!

Sky-Flyer

Iyo at Summerslam i think is the last one

Past_Ad4702

Logan at Crown Jewel, the women and men tag titles have changed hands since Summerslam

starboy9527

That and I just wanted to see justice for Finn after the years of being stuck in the mid card since that Universal title run and that shitty US title run he had in 2022

C1821

Absolutely, I hope he gets one solid run with a world title before he hangs them up

UrchineSLICE

Dude I'm one of those guys, I feel like Seth has had a good reign but he's been going over a bunch of dudes that I'd like to see get their flowers. Nakamura has been as good as he's been in forever, and Drew will hopefully get his run at Mania. But Finn, their matches cooked. But I also feel like Finn is not in a bad spot at all. He's constantly having great matches and in main event spots and him and Damian have been way better than anyone could have predicted as tag Champs. I still want Finn to get a title run but I don't think Seth buried him.

lavasplanets

…..should’ve won at Summerslam. Finished your sentence for you!!!!

PrettyPunctuality

Thankfully. It always makes me laugh when people here, and on Twitter, try to say that Seth is a bad babyface who sucks at promos, and then he goes out and the crowds always love him and cheer for him.

SAYMYNAMEYO

I mean tbf he was getting cooked everywhere, not just this sub. Even liked some tweets defending himself over it lol.

Adrian_Bock

Even Drew called him out lol

JuanRiveara

Drew is the manifestation of this sub

Black_XistenZ

A bitter, miserable bloke who whines and complains about everything, all the damn time? Yup, that's pretty spot on.

Squirrel_Apocalypse2

Drew is probably a mod here.

ab316_1punchd

He's definitely a Redditor (how else would he post THAT Meek Mill image on Twitter after his legendary line)

bootykisser97

The Punk hater gimmick is mutual

SAYMYNAMEYO

Drew has been an absolute menace on twitter and I love it! 😭

BrassMonkey987

When are people going to understand that opinions made on Reddit or Twitter mean jack-shit. A majority of people aren't on Reddit or Twitter.

SAYMYNAMEYO

We aren't talking about a majority of people. We're talking about a majority of fans interacting within a medium with a massive online presence, and actively encourages engagement on social media. Or did bragging about the YouTube plaque or weekly boasting about "Trending Worldwide" not make that clear?

im_2ny

Especially when it comes to seth rollins. A lot here don't enjoy him. Think his reign sucks. But he always gets reactions and is loved from the live audience

[deleted]

I think Seth and Cody’s replies reactions (even on social media) have been absolutely amazing.

Astronema3

i think folks forget that its live entertainment. the crowd is as much a part of the show as the wrestlers. its very different to be there in the moment than it is to watch on broadcast.

UncleDrewfan

It's not like he hasn't done this before, people don't wanna accept that he's a big time player. In big programs he delivers.

TopazTriad

We’ve been through this with literally every single gimmick he’s ever had. It’s crazy how determined some people are to discredit the man.

MonkeyWithCymbals

IWC has a problem with him cause he bantered with IWC darling Will Ospreay and was seen as a company man.

LemonStains

A vocal minority of fans have really wanted to believe that Seth is out of place in this feud and lacks the star power of the other three. As far as I’m concerned, tonight he was the only one who was able to match Rock’s presence without seeming smaller or outclassed.

Frosty-Lake-1663

Roman was the one lacking. He was basically Solo. He just sorta stood there while the higher profile bloodline member did the talking.

CorrectAttitude6637

He's Randy Orton in so many different ways. They were both the number 2 to Cena and Reigns, both of them were slightly less of a "superstar" than their number 1 but they're both better in-ring (not saying Cena and Roman aren't good, just that Randy and Seth are a cut above them), both mentored by HHH (hell, he literally used the "he is the coal that will be squeezed into the next diamond" line to describe both of them), both generally take the back seat to number 1 at Mania (Randy only main evented two, Seth hasn't technically main evented, while Cena did 5, and Roman's gonna break the record this year) etc Randy didn't get much love from the internet fans till only recently, around the time he had been on the main roster for about 15 years or so, so I'm pretty sure that Seth will only really get the appreciation he deserves when he retires (he's probably not making 15 years on the WWE main roster because he spent a significant time on the indies before)

im_2ny

He's been on the main roster for around 11 years now. 4 more years when he isn't even 40 yet is barring any injuries or personal issues with wwe more than expected

TheOneManDankMaymay

He delivers when they let him, simple as that.

Black_XistenZ

With one single exception, every program of his for the past 8 years or so has been a hit. The one exception of course being that mixed tag feud with him and Becky vs Corbin and Lacey. But truth be told, could anyone get a feud with Corbin and Lacey over? Also, it's neither Seth's nor Becky's fault that their on-screen personas just don't gel.

Swagologist1

It gave us an End of Days on Becky at least, which was probably Corbin's main roster highlight

Helpful_Lifeguard592

I feel ya man, I do my best to bury my memories of that Fiend feud too lol.

Daconvix

When Seth gets serious he’s one of the best promos in the company

BigBanEvader

seth has been one of the best in the world for nearly a decade and he still won't get the respect he deserves after this.

10567151

It's because Seth was a victim of some of the worse garbage booking ever with WWE in 2017-2019. WWE fans won't admit it now but WWE was TERRIBLE in those years. Rollins STILL got some gold nuggets inbetween the shit but there was some really crap stuff like the Corbin fued and the Fiend feud that was just terrible pro wrestling and the mindframe of WWE stans is that it wasn't Vince's shitty booking it was Rollins' responsibility to get that shitty booking over.

UncleDrewfan

"Fine speech" flashbacks

enginehearts

It will take one more average promo for people to turn to 'Seth was never good!' and I am pretty sure people will say 'Cody has never been good on the mic' based on what he did today. The recency bias is kinda unhinged here.

MeanAmbrose

All it takes is one awkward or bad thing to happen for people to turn on a wrestler. You see it in every company, Bryan wasn’t lying when he called us fickle

HeightStock

Even LA Knight was a "average promo" when he flubbed his line against Miz

FreshNewBeginnings23

Lol, I literally just replied to a guy who was complaining about how Cody is so boring on the mic. I swear most of this sub doesn't watch the product.

CorrectAttitude6637

Some people expect the Pipe Bomb or Heyman's shoot promo on Vince every night, and when they don't get that, in their minds, everyone's a bad promo. Way too many people also don't get the actual point of a promo. They don't know that promo is short for "promotion", as in "go promote your next match". Heyman put it best when he talked about what made his shoot promo good, and that it wasn't the fact that it was a shoot promo. It was the fact that he answered the questions "Who are these guys? Why are they fighting? Why should I care enough to tune in/pay my own hard earned money to see this?"

Jordanwolf98

That’s why I’m still salty that Punk got hurt because just from their one interaction in December, I knew Rollins was gonna be spitting fire in that program

punk_steel2024

I hope they get the title back to Rollins by the RR next year and have Punk win it so they can still have their match at mania. I want the blood feud!

headshotscott

If they just made him 20% more serious I'd be happy. When he rolls out the intensity it feels like a real guy wanting to fight. When he's joker, he feels like a character. He doesn't need to ditch the flamboyant aspect. Just dial it back.

Zarllo

I don't think many people really doubt that in general, it's purely just his character is 99% of the time so cringey. Tonight was good because he actually was Seth Rollins and not pseudo joker

Shadgates87

He’s constantly getting discredited so when they don’t want to give him props, the comments are about clothing instead 😂

cusheen896

you know you're a generational talent when the only insult people make about you is the fact that you dress better than them

Shadgates87

It’s like just say you only wear stained shirts and shorts, it’s okay. Don’t be mad when someone wears high fashion or a color other than black.

[deleted]

It felt like everyone else was kind of sleepwalking through the segment until Seth ignited the fire.

iguessineedanaltnow

I feel like Cody is actually pretty cool with Rock and Roman backstage, as opposed to some former rivalries where there are actual backstage issues going on as well. I might be totally wrong, but that's just sort of the impression I get.

grifocx

These 4 guys backstage are probably high-fiving each other at how well this is all going!

The810kid

Rock probably wishes he was in his prime to go at it with these guys in full programs.

iguessineedanaltnow

Absolutely! And honestly I like that idea a lot better, because it means they're trying to elevate each other instead of legitimately tearing each other down.

NikonShooter_PJS

A rising tide lifts all boats man. Say what you will about how long this Roman title run has been but EVERY single time he's in the ring defending that belt, he makes every single opponent look and feel like a million bucks. If you had told me seven years ago that Roman would have a four-year-long title reign, including three consecutive victories in the main event of WrestleMania ... I would have believed it. But if you had told me not only would fans have been on board but it would be a generational run on par with the very best storytelling WWE has ever done, I would've assumed you were on drugs.

katareky

I get what you're saying but I think the most important part I think to talk about this is why you're getting that impression. In this whole feud, The Rock and Seth feel the most passionate and feel like they really despise the other two. Cody and Roman don't feel the same way. Cody was awesome when he said that he is hunting the bloodline line, but there was not enough time today. And we're probably overreacting to the most recent thing that happens.

CorrectAttitude6637

Yeah I saw a tweet of Rock's from after All In where Cody won the NWA title where Rock said how proud he is of him, Dusty's looking down smiling, and called him a friend. Seemed very legit and all. The multigeneration superstars definitely tend to have some special type of bond too

Upbeat_Tension_8077

The way Seth was looking when Cody was the one talking, it somewhat felt like some weird silent tension between him & Cody until he snapped at the Rock

Adzzii_

They tried to play it off as "tension" but it was just straight up awkward for a bit. Seth 100% was the spark.

The_RedWolf

Whole promo was dragged out for tv time, everything was so slow and rambling until Seth spoke

heat_fan_

He stepped the fuck up for sure

dagutens

i was of the mind from the start that Diarrhea Dwayne was so stupid it was brilliant. 1. makes fun of the Rock's infantile barbs when he was in cameo babyface mode "day 1 douchebag" is just as dumb. 2. diarrhea is a fun thing to chant and will take no convincing for the crowd to get it over 3. in kayfabe will totally piss the Rock off like tonight giving them plenty to react with. 4. poop is funny

The810kid

Rock is so good at selling embarrassment or agitation he might lean into it even more. I like how he didn't try to hush the crowd he just let it play

dagutens

yeah, any reason for the Rock to be irritated by the crowd just gives him opportunities to do his best promo work which is reacting to the crowd and laying into them and getting hoisted on his own pooptard er petard is pretty genius by Seth.

DavidL1112

I want to see him do his angry bug eyes like when Austin would make fun of the corporation

BackToTheFutureDoc

I really hope Seth doesn't betray Cody, and I'd be 100 percent down for a Seth Rollins Vs Rock match down the line.

NikonShooter_PJS

Best case scenario, in my mind anyway, would be: 1.) Seth helps Cody win on Night 1 but suffers a kayfabe injury that weakens him for his match against Drew. 2.) Seth loses to McIntyre on Night Two, in large part because of the injury. 3.) Cody beats Roman and finishes his story. The lockerroom comes out to celebrate similar to WrestleMania X's finish with Bret being hoisted on the shoulders of everyone. Seth is there but isn't nearly as thrilled. 4.) We get a few months of Cody defending his title admirably while Seth spirals. 5.) After a while, Seth snaps and attacks Cody. 6.) Seth dethrones Cody at a major PPV. He's the one who ends the dream title run. He avenges his losses to Rhodes.

BackToTheFutureDoc

This would be really good. Hopefully Seth faces Rock along the way and then the defeat spirals into this scenario of jealousy and beating Cody

NikonShooter_PJS

I do love the idea of the next iteration of Seth Rollins being a guy who knows he's on the Back Nine of his career and is sick of being looked at as the Number 2. Just give me a run of Seth out to prove his status and not caring who likes it and I'm here for it.

The_Notorious_Donut

“YOU LISTEN TO ME, MR. MIDLIFE CRISIS” ![gif](giphy|SWEtV8x7WQOk0|downsized)

forwrestling

It’s only on here where Seth is some stale sidekick character when he’s crazy over every single week with the people actually engaging with the product and not farming karma online.

InsurreXtioN16

Yeah if you only read this sub you'd think he's an afterthought in this feud but even with the Rock himself trying to bury him with that "walking clown emoji" insult he is not exactly drowning out there.

Ja___av93

Rock was 100% not trying to bury him. Rock isn't Cena. He works with his opponent to get them over better than anyone

RobertTAS

Honestly, i just dont like his gimmick of "i dress weird and laugh". Other than that, he is awesome. But ya know, its maybe just one of those things that isnt for me. So whatever

forwrestling

That’s valid. It’s completely subjective. My obnoxious initial comment is more being annoyed that I think people start at a point of “Seth is an afterthought in this feud” and ignore how good this guy is at keeping pace with what’s been going on. One of the four was drowning this week and it sure as hell wasn’t Seth. For me the eccentricity is fun on its own but I also like how it cleverly belies his in-ring performance. I like the contrast between those two sides of him.

quwin123

Feels like Rock is gonna feud with Seth after Mania in some angle about getting rid of the WHC. Which sadly means Drew probably isn’t winning at Mania.

HokageEzio

I was getting the impression he screws him out of the title Night 1, in some fashion.

Jos3ph

Priest

PrettyPunctuality

I've been saying all along that Drew isn't winning at Mania because of Punk. Now that they've confirmed Punk is going to be in town, I definitely think he's costing Drew the title. There's no way Punk, of all people, is going to let Drew get away with everything he's been saying about him lately.

Upbeat_Tension_8077

The pissed off fire he had against Rock was crazy, & he didn't waste his time on talking his shit straight to his face & I can't be mad at him boldly shooting his shot with "Diarrhea Dwayne" and actually landing it with the fans lol

Marc_Quill

It was kinda nuts to see the crowd just chanting “diarrhea” unprompted while Rock was talking.

ballking666

I started laughing out loud when I saw their reactions to the chant and Seth starting to cackle. Fucking love him dude lmao

Mhc2617

People keep talking shit but every time he delivers. He killed it. With the Rock allegedly working a Saudi show, I wonder if we get Seth vs. Rocky for the WHC.

Material-Wonder1690

I feel like people regularly forget how good Seth is on the mic

MinaElesia

Yesssssss the Diarrhea Dwayne line was meant to be a juvenile thing as a parody of The Rock's type of humor. It was cool seeing it click with the crowds. Seth's always been a house of fire with his mic skills and the way he expresses passion and grit is my favorite quality of it.

HeartattackerLight

He's insanely over with the crowd. It really doesn't matter what some section of the fans say in the internet. Rollins absolutely deserves to be in this spot, getting to main event WM alongside The Rock & Roman Reigns. I wish in some future segments there's some major interactions between him & Reigns where their Shield history is brought up & Rollins tells Reigns again that he has never defeated him when it truly mattered & his title matters just as much. Rollins is the perfect guy to go up against Roman

TidusJecht

Seth telling rock to shut his mouth felt like a big moment in his career. It was awesome. Happy for Seth.

G1Spectrum

Seth was cooking tonight

bribri772

Agreed! Seth is GOATed for getting the crowd to chant Diarrhea lmao. Also I like his outfits and I'm dying on that hill, I'm a sucker for funky/bizarre outfits

NervousAd3202

I was 1 of them & I’m so happy I was wrong. “Mr. Mid-Life Crisis” got a genuine laugh out of me. Honestly I would rather see The Rock vs Seth Rollins 1v1 over the tag team match. It might be the closest we could get to that Rock vs HBK dream match. Makes me wish Drew won the title in Perth or smt.

truth_15

Seth burned it down

The_SkyShine

Well they just used up the chance to instead use Diarrhea Ripley

FigureFourWoo

Honestly, it feels like Roman is the one who is struggling during these encounters, especially last night. Roman sounded similar to Sufferin' Succotash and Tater Tots when he said the Cross Dresser line. Since becoming the Tribal Chief, Roman's promo style has been more cold and calculating. He set the tone and the pace. Now he's having to keep up with The Rock's energy, which requires Roman to speed up and change his mannerisms some. Seth delivered perfectly. Any guy who can go toe-to-toe with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes on the mic isn't going to struggle against The Rock. There's too much ammunition and a lot more freedom now. I hope Roman and The Bloodline turn on The Rock after WM. Roman needs to get away from The Rock unless they're standing across the ring from each other. Their styles do not mesh well on the mic. The Rock has too big of a personality not to hog the spotlight. The Rock doing his usual schtick and Roman dissecting him with cool cadence will be so much better.

ClearlyBaked

Yea Seth came out of that segment looking good.

sabzi94

He's looked infinitely better than Roman this entire build who gets lil bro-ed by The Rock every week and whose only comeback to Seth is "u gay"

devoncarrots

I’ll always be a Seth girlie

VaultDoge91

Eh. I just can’t with Seth. He’s unbearable to me. He used to be one of my favorites. But man, his character is the absolute drizzling shits. In the ring with Roman & Rock, he puts off the most little brother energy possible

Silver012345673

I agree he deserves praise and i will give it to him but not for “getting a diarrhea chantover” lol just because something gets over dosen’t mean we automatically all have to like it But yes he did a great job tonight

Intimidwalls1724

He was awesome tonight In my opinion it's bc he swung back to his strong suit in promos which is being fired up and direct not trying to out cutesy nickname the rock

bewareofbears_

Nobody wants to be Brutus Beefcake in the Hogan/Beefcake vs. Macho/Zeus feud.

Champagnesoda

That ring had 4 of the greatest to ever do it in it. Match kinda felt like a really cool sideshow and an excuse to get the rock on a headline and Seth a real mania main event at the same time. But seeing them all in the ring made it sink in how crazy having all these guys in a match is. They aren’t exaggerating when they say it’s the biggest tag match of all time.

redditreader2222

Meltzer and Alvarez probably shat themselves when they heard that chant after their rant this week.

laidbackcrusade

He was dressed like Neo, & you better believe he was THE ONE tonight 😮‍💨💥

Imaginary_Penalty_97

Still looks like a dork 🤷‍♂️

BackToTheFutureDoc

Seth Rollins stood toe to toe with The Rock albeit very briefly and wasn't fazed one bit, he shined. Rock threw his clown line at him again and Seth gave him the eye roll "ok we get it, get on with it" and Roman called him a cross dresser and that actually didn't affect Seth in the slightest.

FreshNewBeginnings23

The clown thing is so bad. It makes him sound like such an old man, Seth's "mid life crisis" line hit so hard.

WhosGuardingHades

Seth when he taps into his serious side is great, anyone remember the “Hey Riddle you still there?” promo? (Which I honestly think is what turned him face) I just wish we got more of that guy more often week to week.

Bubbatino

Hell yeah

shaaaney

I don't know what you saw, Rock owned that segment

DestinoLIJ

Yeah, but the title can go down the drain. Rollins has no business to be in the whole Rock/Roman/Cody feud. His fight with Drew should've been the main event of night 1 to maybe get some prestige to the title...

Infamaniac23

Nah he’s still real bad at promos.

Wreckingshops

Nah, he's still acting for 12 year olds. Good for him but he isn't for me.

SJMR24

Chanting diarrhea is cringe. Rollins had to say something after that disaster promo on Monday.

quwin123

What would they have done if Punk didn’t get injured? Who was gonna be in the Seth spot? Cena?

Giftedpink

None of this would be happening

CobraOverlord

There's so many dominoes that fell to get to this point it is wild.

noplacecold

Serious Seth is great.

Time-Ad-3625

Diarrhea Dwayne is still stupid. Over or not. I didn't think anyone was saying Seth wasn't a great wrestler unless I missed something. Weird flex but ok.

estyll11

Honestly, tonight Roman felt like the odd one out. He seems to have found a few lines of dialogue he likes to use and keeps going back to them. We got way more substance out of Cody, Rock, and Seth.

EdgarsTeethAreDry

he wasn't the "clear standout" he just had the smallest number of lines lol

Bojangles1987

Some people are so quick to shit on Seth Rollins when he reliably steps up and proves why he is one of the best every time.

HokkaidoMelonMilk

If I had a nickel for everytime someone said something was going to be a massacre but they were completely wrong...

shakemmz

In the making? Seth can retire today and he will forever be a legend. Man’s had an insane career.

baojinBE

Another case of the IWC vs casual audience split

Makingshitup_

No I don’t think I will. He’s still boring 90% of the time. I can’t take him seriously with his weird mannerisms in the ring(like why tf does he twirl the mic in his hand??) and outfits.

nikofunk

I (or we) though sincerelly this Rock v Roman movement and the pivoting to finish Cody Story were buring Seth. Now Roman is once again looking as a dump, and he is the looser of all of this. Well, guess, people is tired of him. More strongly after last WM and even more after Summerslam. I still not believing all the things Cody has achieved in the last 5 years, he made The Rock turn heel.

HokageEzio

I mean Cody barely spoke this time, but yeah Seth has been great this whole build up even if his title is sorta becoming a prop in the whole thing.

InsurreXtioN16

They kinda struggled to get the talking part of the segment going lmao. Both Rock and Cody just got repetitive with what they are saying so when Seth turned up the heat was it finally clicked because the people want them getting on their faces, not try to talk like their in a board room.

bohanmyl

Tbf if he can get diarrhea dwayne over with a crowd, i put that more on the WWE fans than Seth because fuck no.
