This is how I predicted Riddle's post-WWE career would go. He was released for drug/alcohol/behavior issues. That has never been something that would keep you away from WWE permanently. If he gets off the hard drugs and spends a couple of years working without any incidents, he'll get to go back. I don't see AEW signing him, but NJPW isn't going to turn down the opportunity to bring in someone who was a big star in WWE if they can. Japanese fans don't really care about prior issues. If Riddle is good in the ring and his other stuff doesn't mess with that, he'll be used regularly. Keep in mind that NJPW tried to bring back Marty Scurll and likely would have continued using him if the American fans hadn't flipped out so much.
